Not long till your 12w scan BR!! Have you booked in yet? Are you worried symptom wise? You may be just be feeling better earlier than other pregnancies? A friend recommended getting a doppler online so once bub has a hb I can check on him/her any day. She got one for her pregnancy after several losses. Could this be an option for you if your feeling anxious?

I have had a doppler for nearly 2 weeks. And been trying been trying to find baby's hb for all that time and I cannot find it. I'm not too worried about that yet because I have a tilted uterus. I just want to beat my midwife to finding it.
I didn't feel ill at all with my 1st or 2nd was really sick with my 3rd but that came on after 8 weeks. But this time it's come in earlier and must be going away earlier

This is nuts!!! This is how I've looked for the last nearly 2 weeks!! It has to be all bloat from hormones I'm guessing but I thought it would've gone by now! As in lessened somewhat anyway! http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160527/a6fa2e5f43723d3999df4e449c58b161.jpg

I know what you mean about the bloat Pbn! I bloated up like a balloon pretty much as soon as I peed on a stick. lol For awhile there I looked like I was 5 months along! I had to buy loose, flow-y tops to hide it. The bloat is a bit better now that I'm almost 10 weeks. Now I just look like I'm 4 months instead of 5. :giggle:

Thank you all so much for all of the love:heart::bighug:
BR, my symptoms seemed to disappear around the same time! I didn't have anything major to start with, but any nausea completely disappeared. The only thing that's stayed constant is my ugly varicose vein on my right leg. It is so much more prominent already! That was a gift from my 3rd son;). I hope your visit with your midwife goes great this weekend!
Pbn, your little bloat belly is adorable. I was the same I swear I looked pregnant right after I peed on a stick!:pregnant:
12 weeks today and I totally feel like I'm showing already! Like a distinct bump all of a sudden. Sooooo much sooner this time around!
Princess, I'm so sorry your mom said that. Is she very critical in general? Try not to be sad. People say ridiculous things sometimes. You know what's best for your family and should take comfort in that.

I'm having the worst time trying to find an OB or midwife. My midwife I had for DS2 isn't currently practicing so she suggested another midwife to me but she's an hour away (too far). I found ONE midwife in my area that does home births but after calling her last week and leaving a message, I got no call back. I called her again a few days ago and she answered but she said she'd call me back later that afternoon to check her schedule. She never called me back. The only other option I have is to use an OB or an OB/CNM practice and deliver at a hospital (which I do not want). I tried calling an OB/CNM place that was recommended to me when I had my HSG but when I called it was some "doctor emergency line" for patients. I found another number of theirs but it was the same thing. :sigh: I'm nearly 10 weeks, I just want to find a care provider!!! I feel like ripping my hair out.

So I went to see a gp today. I have been put on laxatives and I was sent to hospital to start the ball rolling for physio for my spd. I have to get a pelvic belt (they couldn't give me one due to funding) also wanted me on crutches but I refused atm don't want to be on crutches this early!

KSmom I think you should just see whoever is open for now. I know it sucks! I hope it works out, strange the midwife didn't call you back, maybe try emailing her?
My younger sister and I were discussing if I have a girl, my daughter and her daughters would be thrilled lol. My two boys are light skin blue eyes my oldest son has brown hair and my younger son has light brownish red hair.
My daughter is darker skin not dark but she not like me lol and she has brown hair and brown eyes. I said what if this girl would come out looking like me blue eyes light hair and my 7 year old dd be the odd ball lol.
My daughter is a beauty though, I tell her she doesn't need blue eyes she's the prettiest

Omg BR! What a doosh making comments about getting pregnant again! Men can be so dense! That's awful that your SPD is starting already. Really hope everything you're doing eases the pain somewhat.
Ksmom I hope you find a midwife soon! It would be so frustrating!!! Nothing peeves me more than an unreturned call - especially twice!! I understand people get busy but a simple quick call to day she got your message and will get back to within the week would've sufficed 😠 Is the one that's an hour away an option at all? Do you have monthly appts until 36 weeks then weekly from there where you are?? If so then maybe it would be doable? At least until you maybe found someone closer?

Princessmom, I may end up emailing her. She's supposed to be one of the best midwives. I'm seriously considering just going to see an OB practice for now and then switching later to a midwife if I'm able to find one. I'm just irritated right now. By the way, that's so sweet what you said to your daughter. I think it's really important for all children to feel good about themselves.
Pbn, I know it bugs me that she didn't call back. I'm sure she's quite busy but reaching out to her twice surely must show her how interested I am?! I'm not sure if the midwife that's an hour away is an option or not. I sent her a quick email just asking her if she does home births in my area or not. I'm really, really hoping she does. I talked to DH about all this and he's open to driving to the birth center that's an hour from here. The only thing is around 36 weeks I'd be going there weekly until I give birth and with two toddlers in tow, that's not the easiest! I'm also worried about being in the car while in labor or getting stuck in traffic. With DS2 we were far from home when I went into labor so the ride home was not a comfortable one! The reason why I'm so terrified of a hospital birth is because the city I live in has the THE highest c-section rate in the US...around 50-60%! I may just pick someone at random for now until I can find someone I really want to deliver with. I'm just really anxious about all of it especially because we're going on vacation soon and I'd like to get an appointment in before then!

May 27th, 2016, 11:32 PM
Ksmom your plan sounds good to me! I hope she responds quickly! But at least be checked with an ob till then. I always delivered at hospitals and give props to women who do it at home! I wouldn't be able to handle pain etc lol
BR omg I didn't know and I'm sorry it's happening again that is awful! I wish you the best hoping it doesn't get painful! So sorry! What a pain
Yes my daughter she reminds me of my younger sister because my older sister and myself both have light eyes lighter skin and hair and she is little more darker with dark hair and dark eyes, and she is the prettiest one. lol I miss my baby sister so much! She recently moved to Orlando and I'm so lonely without her and my nieces. I do have my older niece who visits me on the weekend and my only nephew is 16 and doesn't want to hang with me lol.
I can't wait to go visit her in a few weeks! Thank God for FaceTime

Ksmom I hope the midwife reply to you soon. There is nothing worse than having to meet someone that your upset with. It makes things feel awkward. And you should be feeling comfortable with with the midwife because giving birth is a very interment thing (hope i spelt that right)
Thank you ladies for being concerned and supportive I can see this is going to be a really good birth group.xxx
Pm: so beautiful to talk about your daughter like that sometime we get hung up on their behaviors we forget how beautiful our children really are and how proud they make us.

Princessmom, I feel you on the itching!! I've been so freaking itchy this pregnancy that it's driving me crazy. I have little scabs down my leg from scratching so much. Have you tried any lotions or creams for it?
BR that's not too far off! Not long before you find out! I hope you're able to get a good nub shot. FX for pink! Sorry you're throwing up. The first trimester can be really rough. I was utterly miserable with DS1 and DS2.
Tata I wouldn't necessarily worry about symptoms disappearing. You're close to the 2nd trimester right? I think it's normal for symptoms to come and go. I know mine did for awhile and it was the same with my first two as well.

No lotions yet, I need to try though now.
BR that sucks about no close family. At least your kids have each other it's a wonderful thing! My first two are 16 months apart and their like bffs lol and then my little guy is only 2 but he acts like he their age lol. He also is very jealous! I am not allowed to lay and hold my daughter he gets mad so we tease him sometimes and I'm like it's okay Franco, I can hold you too. But he still gets mad,
So when baby comes I hope he doesn't get mad lol.
BR when your next scan?
I was on antibiotics with my son and daughter I had a tooth issue and then throat infection.

I'd like to see the results Pbn! I'm not so sure on ramzi accuracy Tata. It seems no one has been able to replicate his results in studies. I had my scan at 6w1d and baby was on the left but I really don't put any stock into that meaning baby is a girl. There's a few older threads on here that discuss Ramzi and basically discredit it. I know Atomic doesn't believe in it and she's said that even people who paid Ramzi himself to guess on their ultrasounds got it wrong.

Has anyone here heard of the pee theory?? That the color of your urine can indicate gender??? I've seen it quite a few times now and i've never heard this, however, it seems to be creepily accurate! Supposedly if you have bright neon like the color of Gatorade or Mountain Dew (sometimes green) and very CLEAR urine = BOY. If you have really dull/cloudy/light urine = GIRL. Now this is regardless of prenatals. So regardless if you take them or not, your pee would still be bright neon yellow and clear. And same goes for the girl theory.... regardless of your prenatals, your pee is still really light and always looking pale/cloudy... some have reported gold in the morning, this counts as girl too. I didn't want to believe it, but it was true for me too. I had very bright pee with my son.... Even when I couldn't take my prenatals. Anyone hear of this???!!!
ksmom
May 29th, 2016, 10:28 PM
It has to do with how hydrated you are. Clear pee means you're well hydrated and dull/dark urine means you need more fluids. I personally don't believe it has anything to do with gender.

I will have to go through my fb group to fund it but its something to do with adding your age at the time of conception with you dob.
There is 3 ways of doing it and if the 1st way works out as an even number it's a girl and visa versa for the boy.
2nd way if the results work out odd it's a girl and visa versa for a boy.

It's supposed to be whether you are hydrated or not. Your pee will still be light regardless of how much or little you drink or still be bright no matter how much water you have. The basis is regardless of hydration status or taking a prenatal.

If the urine color OWT were true then all we'd have to do is look at the color of our pee and immediately know the gender. It has a 50/50 chance of being right. There's no scientific basis to it but it is scientific fact that the color is associated with diet, supplements, urinary health and fluid intake regardless of baby's gender. I will say though that it is fun to look up all these OWTs and guess!

It's definitely fun! I found hundreds of women who said they had light pee and had a girl 100% of the time! It's crazy. I'm kind of clinging to it bc my pee was bright with my son and this time it's very very light. It's such a difference even from my normal pre pregnancy urine. I noticed it immediately which made me google. I just never expected to find it was gender related. I just couldn't figure out how my pee was so light when I was clearly dehydrated lol!!!

Hi ladies!! Just trying to catch up after a long weekend away camping:) I caught some bug from
My boys...just a really bad cold I think, but so yucky and achy feeling. Can't wait to get home and take a shower! Lol
Welcome to all the new arrivals and yay for all of the soon to come ultrasounds! I hope you're luck turns around with a midwife, ksmom. So frustrating!! I had the hardest time finding a decent OB this time around since my old one just went out of practice. So many of my options were no longer accepting new patients! I hope you find someone soon!
BR, I'm so sorry your SPD is already appearing!! Pregnancy is so brutal. I hope the belts help and it eases up for you.
July 9th is my birthday! Good day to see a girlie nub;)
Tata, I wouldn't put too much stock in symptoms. I thought for sure this was another boy based on symptoms. Everything is exactly the same! So I don't believe symptoms are a great indicator at all.
As far as OWT, mine were all over the board! Most pointed to boy, Ramzi included. The Chinese calendar said girl for all three of my boys, but this time it said boy, so I actually took that as a good sign. Lol. Still had fun testing them all out though:)

I also noticed it immediately like before I even knew I was pregnant (which was easy bc I got my BFP on a digi at 7 dpo!) it's just so off from my normal color. And my prenatals aren't changing it at all. Usually it takes quite a bit of water to hydrate me so I noticed right away. It looks like lemonade lol. And I was actually told at 12 weeks with an early scan that my son was a girl. We had a gender reveal party and all. I was devastated (although he's the light of my life of course now!). We found out at 16w he was a boy. So now I'll be waiting until 20 weeks to find out. It's going to kill me.

I've checked my urine throughout the day out of curiosity and it's been either dull and cloudy or clear. Still don't think that means girl for me! lol

I really think there's something to it! Do a quick Google search, you'll be surprised! I sure was. I have read of people with bright pee having girls too but very few with dull cloudy had boys from what I could find.

So I decided to just go with an OB for now until I can (maybe) find a midwife. I called them last week and all I got was an emergency line. I called them today because they're site says they're open....and they're freaking closed!!! I'm going to cry I'm so frustrated/fed up with trying to find a care provider! Everything has been a dead end....ugh!!! I NEED to find one because we go on vacation very soon!

I hope you're doing well littleboybue! I called the OB office again and after being on hold forever, the receptionist tells me they won't schedule any appointments for me until they get my medical records. Wth?? I've never heard of that. I called my RE's office but got voicemail for medical records. I got frustrated and just decided to schedule a tour with a birth center that's an hour from me. I finally got a call back from that midwife I called last week (turns out she was sick with the flu) and she said she will be on vacation over Christmas so she may not be here for baby's birth BUT she gave me a number for another midwife she works with. She said she could take me on as a client so I can get started with prenatal care but she just wants me to be aware that I may have a completely different midwife at the birth. I'm going to call the other midwife today and see if she's available.
I thought being 10 weeks meant any nausea I had would get better but nope. :/ For the past few days I've been fighting the urge to throw up. It doesn't help that my food aversions are getting even worse so nothing ever sounds good and then because I'm hungry, the nausea worsens. Gah I'm being such a complainer. lol

KSMom I hope the midwife picks up! Ugh I'm getting mad for you lol! I know how badly you want the at home birth experience.
Tmrw my NT scan, I am actually shaking today from the fear lol.
But for some reason something is telling me to chill that baby is a little girl.
My kids don't believe I am pregnant because they say I am not "Fat" I'm like lol,
My daughter said it's about time she gets a sister, because it's her turn now to get what she wants lol. Because last time my oldest son wanted a brother. Now they both want a baby sister.
I am not sure if I should ask for a nub shot, I know the tech has a lot of knowledge and has told tons patients the correct gender at NT scans. But I am scared to know and be disappointment but then if she says girl nub or girl potty shot, I will be in shock and over the moon.
I know it's early to tell for sure. I did find out with my two boys at the same week, no nub though just potty shot. With my dd I didn't have a NT scan and even during my 20 week scan, my dh and I didn't even ask what the sex was till she was done and shut the machine off lol.
So I haven't ever gotten a girl shot yet lol. My family keep saying to chill that they believe God gave me another girl. I keep praying it is, I hope we all have girls!

Thanks Princessmom! I haven't really had morning sickness, just mild nausea on and off but this week I've been feeling icky. I'm thinking it's actually a stomach bug of some sort since DS1 threw up this afternoon.
Best of luck at your NT scan! I've got my fingers crossed you'll hear girl. I know what you mean though about almost not wanting to know. I'm also worried about seeing a boy nub then feeling down about it. I'm not really sure I'll even have the NT scan this time since I still don't have any sort of prenatal appt. set up.

That's just bizarre. I hope the icky feeling passes soon. At least if it IS the stomach bug, you know it will go away;)
I can't wait to see your nub shot, Princessmom! It's sweet that your kids want a sister so badly. My boys kept a saying they thought it was a girl because we have WAY too many boys. Lol. It almost adds to the stress a little when others are so invested in it as well!

June 2nd, 2016, 07:41 AM
I go to the web site and order . You have to take the blood at home and send to them .i saw some good and bad reviews . It cost about 100 dollars.
They look for Y chromosome in your blood .the only thing is contamination u have to be real Careful. But I never had someone that I know do the test so I don't know how reliable that is .

Adorable baby littleboyblue!! That looks like a girly nub to me. :) I doubt the blood test was wrong, in fact I think they're more accurate than ultrasound.
I hope your scan goes well Pbn! I wouldn't worry too much about no nausea. I haven't really had any morning sickness this pregnancy and I know with DS1 and DS2 it didn't really start until 7-8 weeks.
Tata I don't think the at home tests are very accurate. There's a lot of room for error. Hopefully for you it's wrong and you've got a pink bundle on board!

Tata-sneak peek is a scam!!!! Oh my goodness if I would of known you were considering that. Please don't take any sense of that answer they have huge law suits against them and even admit they take a guess! Regular cell free Dna testing are done around 10-11 weeks because there is no Y chromosome hardly around 9 weeks or so.

Babygirlquest and Princessmom, I know I'm really bummed about it. :( If I haven't heard anything by Monday then I'm seriously considering just picking an OB at random and making an appt. with them. If they ask for medical records before an appt. can be made then I'm just going to lie and say I haven't seen anyone for this pregnancy. I've never had this much trouble before finding an OB/midwife.

Welcome back BR! I'm so sorry you have food poisoning. :( How awful! I hope you feel better soon. I'm so excited for your scan! Hopefully you get a different tech and she gives you a good nub shot.
WELL, I feel a little better about this whole midwife/OB/home birth debacle I've been in. LOL I toured the birth center today and I really liked it. The midwife there has nearly 3 decades of experience and there are several midwives that work there with her. The only problem is it's an hour away which could turn into 1.5 hrs+ if there's traffic (plus I'd have to find someone to watch the kids while I'm in labor and I have no one here to do that unless I get MIL to come out here). I did fill out the insurance form and I'm supposed to get an email next week about whether or not my insurance will cover it. Lo and behold after we got home from there, the other home birth midwife I left a message with called me today (yay!) and I'm meeting with her next week for a consult. I'm so relieved but now this means having to do decide really fast if I want to go the birth center or home birth route. It will also depend on whether or not I like this midwife I'm meeting. She seemed very soft spoken and sweet on the phone so hopefully I like her. :)

No idea princessmom 😂 cant even see a nub I don't think lol. But I'll say boy on the off chance that what I think I may see is a nub lol (its very likely not). I would've thought though that the skull looks girly? Are girly skulls supposed to be rounded and boys squarish? I'm as good as guessing by skull as I am by nub hahaha!!

I think that's why they say 12w can sometimes be too early BR as if its flat it still has time to rise whereas if its angled up then its unlikely to change. Better waiting for 13w or close to if you're wanting a more accurate nub guess. So they say anyway! I don't think I'd know the difference but as team green I'll be asking just to see the face :)

I do think I did O from left bc I've had pain there since ovulation. Now it's the ligament pain right in my groin. So weird it's only one side.

Pain on one side doesn't necessarily mean that's the side where you ovulated from. With this baby, I ovulated from my right ovary (confirmed by ultrasound) but baby is on my left. I had lots of pain since O on my left so I thought that's where I O'ed from but nope. :)

I feel so out of tune with my body...don't have a clue which side I ovulated from and the only ligament stretching pain I have gotten has been both sides.
The only 'side' information I have right now is baby's heartbeat is only findable on the right side. My last boy was definitely always on the left and I don't remember before him. :)

What kinds of pain?? I can't help but be totally crushed right now. I don't know what the correlation would be with left sided vs right sided groin pain but ALL and I mean 100% of the people who had left groin pain had boys. I'm really just crushed :(

It was like a stabbing pain right around my left ovary. I did have some pain in my right but it felt more like round ligament pain. Symptoms have nothing to do with gender that early on in pregnancy. The "Y" chromosome isn't activated until 10 weeks so please don't feel like that means you're having a boy simply because of groin pain. My pregnancies were completely different with DS1 and DS2 so different doesn't always equal opposite gender nor does same symptoms always equal same gender.
Pbn3
June 4th, 2016, 12:00 AM
DRV no symptoms can tell you gender. And where did you get the 100% of people stat from? Was it an actual study and how many people were involved? I'm sorry but I think you're getting yourself down and stressed out over things that mean nothing in relation to gender.... how long until your gender scan? That is the only thing I would trust second to blood test for gender.

No 100% of the people who had left groin pain had boys that I read on forums. I also found that you have pain on the opposite side of implantation, that it radiates to the other side. So definitely boy for me. I've been crying all night I feel terrible and guilty for even being this upset. I really didn't think I would care this much.

Well how long until you actually find out? Its sad (as in I'm sorry you're sad) that you are feeling so upset you're crying when you dont even know the gender. You could very well be having a girl! Can you try and focus on something other than gender for awhile? Do something that makes you feel good/happy? Also forums are not a reliable source of information because different threads will only prompt people who are experiencing the same to post and not the other hundred of thousands that arent experiencing the same. You have every chance of a girl!! Be kind to yourself and I'm sorry you're feeling so upset and feel better really soon.

I'm just thinking since pain is on the left that it is radiating from the right. I just wish I could find out now. The wait is going to kill me. The only differences that I've noticed are the light pee and I haven't developed an allergy to my wedding ring this time (happened with my 2 early miscarriages and with my son). BR, how awful of her to say that. I'm sorry.
DRV, I would think more likely from carrying your 35lb 2 year old around than anything having to do with what side you ovulated on or what gender of baby you're having. My 2 year old loves to still be carried too and is a solid size as well. I keep having to put him down and tell him he has to walk.
I know we always "planned" two of each so didn't care that the first two were boys. I looked into swaying for ds3 and found Shettles but nothing much else and that clearly didn't work out. Our ds4 was supposed to be our last and I hoped he would be a girl but we got pregnant while preventing and my 3 boys were all asking for a baby brother so I was more alright with him being a boy than with ds3 having been a boy. Convinced my dh to try for one more...and I was determined to do everything I could to get a girl. Ah well, whatever happens happens. I found a tshirt that says "we are hoping it's a dinosaur" because people are already asking if I hope we're having a girl. I do, but that is none of their business! :)

I'm not seeing the original question here but for whoever asked, you cannot tell what side you ovualted from on the basis of O pains. You make eggs in both sides every month and the side that DOESN't ovulate can actually have worse O pain because it gets big and swollen and the pressure is not released when an egg pops.
You also cannot, cannot, cannot, to infinity and beyond cannot, tell where a tiny ball of cells the size of the period at the end of this sentence, lands in your uterus. If your uterus was that sensitive pregnancy and childbirth would be unbearably painful. When pregnancy occurs, the corpus luteum in your ovary where the egg originally came from starts churning out tons of hormones and this affects all sorts of things in your lower regions that increase blood flow, cause stretching and swelling, etc. Some sides stretch/swell faster than others and it also depends how your uterus is situated and even where your personal nerve endings are. This is the cause of those one sided pains, NOT where the baby has implanted.

But yes my mom always says these things lol, I mean I feel awful and yes I will honesty probably have GD if I have another boy, but it not me being selfish, not saying any of us being selfish. I'm human and I have feelings, and on top of it I am going thru a financial issue right now and just don't need the extra stress from family really I mean My younger sister told me to relax and not to worry that makes me feel better, then by someone saying I'm going to be fat and have a boy

That makes sense. I'm just freakin out because I was researching left sided groin pain and then noticed that every single person that said they had it on the left, had boys. Then a few chimed in and said they experienced it as well, however on the right, and low and behold all their babies were girls. And since it proved right my first pregnancy it has me pretty shook up.

I've read that it radiates to the opposite side of implantation and found quite a few people who confirmed that they had pain on the left but implanted on the right. I figured this pain was from the cyst and assumed it came from my left ovary but most likely came from my right. I wish I wasn't so observant sometimes. It's hard not to obsess over everything. I just want to enjoy my pregnancy. If the theory that implantation on the right = boy then that's probably what I'm having. It was correct for my son too :(

No. No, no, no. I know you probably won't believe me but it isn't that anything is radiating anywhere based on anything. Your corpus luteum makes hormones that affect EVERY tissue in your body (one of the earliest pregnancy signs for me is that my varicose veins hurt, in my leg, very far from where my baby implanted. They increase blood flow, start inflammation and swelling and stretching of ligaments everywhere and it is normal and natural all during pregnancy to have sharp or dull one sided pains in your uterus as a certain spot is affected more than another. Sometimes they last a few minutes, sometimes days, then it happens in some other spot. It's just the way the body seems to work. Have you not had those later in pregnancy too - long beyond implantation?? It does not tell you where your baby implanted. The inside of your uterus has barely any sensitivity at all (and that is a good thing) and it just cannot feel implantation.

Crazy but no! I thought I was in for some real trouble later on in my pregnancy but I had no issues at all and carried an 11 lb baby! Didn't even get a back ache in my 2nd trimester. It's a constant ache from the top of my left hip bone deep into where my ovary would be, inside my groin and goes all the way down my left leg and wraps around the left side of my back. I think I produce too much of the hormone that's supposed to relax your ligaments. It seems to be pretty rare which explains why it's happening to me lol. And I do believe you. I just wish one of those babies were girls with all the left sided groin pain lol I would make me feel a little better!!

My skin is awful too. For the first time in my life I have acne. I never broke out like this with my previous kids. I keep getting these painful bumps all over my face and back. I have to wear heavy foundation to cover it.
I agree with Atomic on all this. It is just not possible to know what side you ovulated from or what side baby implanted on based on pain. Most of my pain was left sided the first few weeks and I ovulated from my right ovary which was confirmed by my RE at my scan. Also O'ing from the left doesn't always mean baby is on the left too. The egg can travel across the uterus and wherever it happens to land is where it implants.

I had symphosis pubis dysfunction last pregnancy. I'll likely get it again. And its looking like I am. It's not fun. My public bone spread about 2" and would catch on itself and click as I rolled. My back made this snap crackle pop sound when walking. My butt (sacroiliac joints) would pop and pinch my sciatic. And my right leg would go numb.

But that's the thing DVR. Like Pbn said when someone posts about say left groin pain and baby being a boy, then of course all of the women that experienced pain on that side and are having a boy as well are going to chime in and say "me too!" Then it ends up looking like a true statement when it's not. There's no scientific basis for it. For example, I've seen many women have girls that carry high and wide. Everyone I knew thought I was having a girl based on how I carried but nope I had DS1. It's all just OWTs so please do not worry yourself over it when you could very well be expecting a girl.

DRV!! Stop reading!! Lol. You are going to drive yourself NUTS! And I can tell you without a doubt that all of those OWT and other theories on early prediction are totally meant for entertainment purposes and hold no value. 90% of them pointed to boy for me and all of my pregnacy symptoms are spot on with my last pregnancies. The waiting is sooo hard, but you'll be finding out before you know it;) I would call your care provider if the pain is really bothersome. Maybe you're just doing too much and need to take it easy. Drink plenty of water!

Raezodal, I have that same dinosaur shirt!! I'm actually wearing it right now. Lol.
Br and Princessmom!! I can't believe your family members would make comments like that!! People can be so rude! my little brother said to me when they had their first daughter (I had just 2 boys at the time), "Ha! Bet your jealous that we made a girl and you couldn't!" He's never had a filter...but at the time it didn't really bother me so much because 2 boys was awesome. He has 2 girls now and they really want a son. I would never dream of saying something like that to him though! I just think that so many people are not sensitive to gender desire if they have never experienced it.

Yes you ladies are right. I'm driving myself nuts. I didn't do a search though for "boys" with left sided pain. Just left sided in general and just observed that they all ended having boys which made it even worse lol! I did post about it in another mommy group I'm in. Most said they also had boys BUT a few did have girls so I'm more hopeful again. Praying they give me the blood test early due to my age so I can find out once and for all!
As far as skin goes, I developed an awful cyst behind my ear with DS but then had perfect amazing skin my entire pregnancy and all while nursing for over a year! And I'm very prone to hormonal breakouts. Haven't broken out yet this time either :/ I do like like crap tho. Skin isn't glowing and my hair is really dull and it's usually super shiny. Other than being exhausted I have zero other symptoms. My husband tried the ring test on me this morning and it didn't move at ALL so there goes that lol. My boobs were huge with DS and after nursing they are pretty pathetic and non existent lol I was hoping they would grow again and they have, they are very sore but nothing like with DS!

I also carried like a girl and was told I was having a girl. A later scan revealed that wasn't the case! That's why I'm waiting either till 18 weeks or for a blood test. Not having that happen again!!!

That sounds awful. Thankfully it went away after my second trimester and I'm hoping it will this time too. It's finally let up a bit for now. I'm just anxious to get to my first scan and see that everything is normal and healthy. My levels seem to be high as I got a 3+ last week on a digi and should only have read 2-3! I got my bfp super early this time. A very dark obvious positive at 7 dpo!

Littleboybluex3, I can't wait to be able to wear it! But would be a little strange to wear it yet since I'm not showing and nobody knows except my parents and sister...who all live far away from me.
My skin is amazing...which I broke out terribly with my boys so that is new and different. And my hair...I don't need to wash it...ever it seems. Haven't washed it in a week and although a little flatter than it was a week ago from sleeping on it and such...it doesn't look gross or feel yucky. Bit strange. Symptoms are unrelenting nausea that isn't lessening with anything..even gravol and fatigue. Doesn't hurt to nurse my youngest...and I was nursing my ds3 through my pregnancy with ds4 and was in so much pain the whole time but couldn't bring myself to force him to wean. But I hate looking at differences and thinking, oooh maybe just maybe??? Because I'm afraid I'll be more upset to find out we are having a boy. (Another difference...I am convinced 10000000% that we are having a boy...ds3 and ds4 I was sure were girls basically until they were born...even though we found out ds3 was a boy at 18w)

It may just take awhile for your boobs to grow this time. With DS1, mine started growing at 5 weeks and I went up three cup sizes then a couple more after I started nursing. With DS2 they didn't start getting bigger until about 14 weeks but that may have been because I breastfed for the first couple of months of my pregnancy. This time, they're already bigger and so sore. I hate wearing a bra!

Feeling slightly lower today got this sinking feeling I'm carrying a boy.
I have always been quite dark and hairy... which I now know maybe down to my pcos
Well I have always had light blonde hairs under my chin but this morning I noticed that a couple of them have turn slightly darker and feeling sadden now that this could be a sign I have boy hormones running around my body

Hi all. Haven't caught up in thread yet just wanted to say I had my scan and am measuring exact to lmp (6w6d) but a day behind by o. Not worried about that at all but hb was 104 so seems on the low side to me. In any case I have an appt to see ob on Thursday and will see what she says. I may not be in here much as I'm trying not to focus too much on things until then. Hope you are all well and catch up soon xx

All the best Pnb3! I thought the heartbeat started slower when it is just getting going, which doesn't it only start beating at 6w? I know when I first found hb with a doppler with this one at 8w3d, it was only 130 but now a week later it is 177.
BR, it is likely just pregnancy hormones, not specifically boy hormones. Try not to fret too much about it.

Pbn3, Wish I could send you mine. I'm so tired of it and nothing has any impact for making it go away. :)
I wish I could know now whether this is a boy or not. I'm afraid if it is a boy, I will never feel complete...since I didn't feel complete after our 4th boy and we only planned on having 4 kids. I'm afraid to find out gender before baby is born because I had such awful GD after finding out ds3 was a boy, whereas I didn't really have any with ds4. Call me crazy but I started talking to the girl that I always felt would be part of my family a year ago, telling her that we were ready for her to come join us. Since we only planned on 4 kids, when I would look at my boys, I can't pick which one I wish had been a girl. It was like here were the kids who were supposed to be mine and our little girl made sure her big brothers all came first to make sure they were all here. And now I feel like she still isn't going to join us and it saddens me. Much as I want a girl, I have been afraid of having one since I was pregnant with ds2 and I wonder sometimes if my fear is that much stronger than my desire for a girl that we just can't make one. Sorry, random vent as I lie awake in the middle of the night feeling nauseous.

Glad the scan was good and you got to see your little one yay!
When I had my scan at 7 weeks they told me if they measure a few days ahead or behind it's totally normal can't remember the exact about but a day behind is nothing to worry about which I'm sure you know yourself

Sorry you're feeling down BR! I hope your gut is wrong and you're having a girl. This whole time I've felt like I'm having another boy.
Raezodal, how much longer until you find out gender? FX this is your girl. She'd be so lucky to have four big brothers to look after her. :)
Pbn seeing a heartbeat is a good thing! The baby's heart may have only just started beating. It should speed up soon. Measuring one day off isn't too much of a concern since it may be off slightly. My RE got two slightly different measurements for this babe, with one putting me at exactly 6w and the other at 6w1d. Are you having another scan at your next appt?

Raezodal, I can totally relate to those feelings of desire and fear of what you desire! Having a girl is such a foreign thing after so many boys. Whe we were first trying I remember thinking, what will a girl do to our dynamic?!? Doesn't change the fact that I would still choose one and want one, but there is a slight sense of fear too. Also, I have a friend who is having a little girl who literally had the same conversation. She talked to her and said they were ready to meet her and to come down and she did. It seriously made me teary when she told me her story. I really hope this is you're girl:heart:
BR, pregnancy hormones do so many crazy things to your body. I wouldn't worry about gender based on that at all. I really hope your gut is wrong. Mine told me boy too and I was off. Sometimes I think I would just find any reason to think it was a boy...maybe to mentally prep myself? Idk. That pic of your son is so sweet:)

My last OB visit, when my OB measured baby, she had said I was 12 weeks when she was measuring and I was a day shy of 13 at the time. I was sick with an awful head cold and meant to go back and ask her if she meant 12 weeks and some days....but didn't. And now it's something that is bothering me in the back of my mind!!! She couldn't lock on to a heartbeat the way you normally would, so I never "heard" it, but she pulled up some random lines and said it looked good). Seriously, I shouldn't be worried, but I started thinking maybe there is something wrong and now I have to wait until next month to make sure everything is ok. I didn't get set up for an NT scan in time, because I had been so focused on the panorama, but now I'm wishing I had so I could get a closer look and make sure everything is developing normally. I guess I just feel like I got this great news that were havig a girl and I'm so scared something will be wrong with her. Irrational, I know. Maybe I'm still not believing it's possible! I wish I could feel her moving to know everything is ok in there.im just going to choose to believe it's all ok in there And try to suppress these little worries that creep up.

Littleboybluex3, thank you. I am sure everything is fine with your little girl! Sometimes it can be tricky to find the heartbeat, even at 12w. I bet you hear the heartbeat next month. Pbn heart rate at 6w is usually low because it just started around that time. I was 6w4d when I got my scan and it was 123 at the drs. Now at 9wks it was 180ish according to my calculations on my home Doppler. So big difference.
I have an appt Wednesday. It's with a midwife and I don't know if she'll do a scan or not. Kaiser usually scans every now and then because it's mobile and easy. I just want to see the baby. I'm 9w.3d now. Only a couple more weeks until the gender scan. I pay for the elective scan. It'll be July 18 or 19. And the 19 is my younger sons 5th birthday. I'm thinking of announcing the gender somehow at the party. No one will know it's coming either.
Ideas??
