Hi Ladies- anyone have issues from the LE diet in terms of skin issues or itchy or rash. I am itchy all over and little red spots where I itch. I want to think it is a vitamin deficiency because I am also bruising like crazy. My legs look like I went through a war, bruises everywhere.

I've not no. Vitamin deficiency sounds plausible x

I'm not sure about the itchiness/rash but the bruising could be to do with losing weight. If you have lost a lot of weight and are at a lower weight you have less fat/padding to protect you when you bump things etc so more likely to bruise. My legs are starting to look similar. I am sure there is a more complex answer probably related to nutritional intake but I am not sure exactly what that is.

Yesterday
Breakfast - black coffee
Lunch - two weight watchers wraps filled with chopped tomatoes and spring onions and low fat mayo, and Baked crisps
Snack - at BFFs daughter's Bday party and they were making pizzas. So I had half a pizza that I topped with tomatoes, mushrooms, red peppers and a little cheese, and had salad
Dinner - at a friend's Bday party. She'd organised a buffet so it was hard to resist but I had bread, cheddar, pickle, doritos and quiche.

Definitely went over approximately 2000cals, 63g fat, 60g protein

Today
Breakfast - black coffee
Lunch - mother-in-law invited us over for Sunday Roast. For anyone not British this involves meat, gravy (full of meat juices), roast potatoes and parsnips (both cooked in lots of oil/fat), Yorkshire puddings (batter baked in oil) and lots of green vegetables. I did well considering I ADORE her roast potatoes. I had a ton of green veg (kale, leeks, broccoli), six pieces of potato, three of parsnip and two Yorkshire puds, plus some Gravy
Dinner - half a bagel (that DS3 decided he didn't want) egg mayo sandwich from Tesco with Baked crisps and white wine

Totals approximately 1688cals, 52g fat, 48g protein

Hi ladies thought I would jump in here. I have been trying to cut back on my calories, fat and protein since Saturday. I am using myfitnesspal to track these. Each day is just getting more worse for me, I am just plain starving, weak and can't think straight. I am so used to eating a meat at just about every meal so trying to cut that out has been so amazingly hard. I have been trying to stick around 1600 calories, but each day I get less and less, Saturday was 1600, Sunday was 1,500 and Monday was 1,100. I just don't know what to eat!! I am picky which does not help at all. My nutrition for yesterday as 1,100 calories, 41g protein, 98g carbs and 35g fat. Anyone else picky and help me out here with some tips!?

norskie2005
October 4th, 2016, 09:41 AM
I forgot to add that I can't figure out how to put all of my nutrition into just meals, I find that the small meals that I do eat just leave me starving so I need to have a couple snacks during the day. I just need to figure out a new routine, but having a very hard time doing that.

Norskie, other than meat, what would you normally eat? Just eat those things. No food is off limits. I am a very picky eater. I eat like a child would but I haven't given up anything except meat (some Items I eat much less than before). It is hard to push myself to get enough calories some days but those days I throw in something rare like ice cream or a soda. Your body will adjust and you won't be as hungry then just start throwing that snack item into your meal time. Mind over matter, if you keep snacking, your body can't get used to not snacking. I hope you are doing three meals and not jumping straight to two meals only. You got this, just be patient with yourself and your body. Week 1 is the hardest.

Have a read through this thread and you'll probably spot patterns. I think most people try to have rice, pasta, potatoes or some kind of bread to fill them up.

I like having bread/bagel/crackers/wraps or jacket potatoes with either hummus, cheddar or mozzarella, and salad or vegetables for my lunches. They're normally about 600 cals and I eat about 11:45.

When the boys eat their tea I get hungry watching them so I have a G&T or glass of wine with some crisps or nuts as a snack at about 5pm - about 300 cals.

For dinner I have vegetables with either rice, pasta, potatoes and sometimes pizza. So vegetable curry, veg chilli, veg fajitas, veg pasta, potato gratin, veg enchiladas, veg stir fry, veg burger, veg tagine, veg risotto etc. I also have wine so my dinner is about 700 cals at about 8pm.

Thank you for the reply Girlie! Yes I am still doing three meals a day. My usual breakfast meals consisted of eggs (sometimes a meat and potato, toast too), or cereal or oatmeal. And as far as the plan goes I don't think any of that is good to eat, so for breakfast I'm at a loss. I did just buy some full fat yogurt and had some of that for breakfast today, but again that holds me over for a half hour and them I'm hungry again. Lunch would be a sandwich and chips, leftover supper from the night before, a hamburger and fries (basically nothing good for me lol) and supper is a meal that I would make and it always has a meat and usually a potato or pasta. Snacks would be a granola bar, fruit, popcorn, chips, etc. So basically everything that I'm not supposed to eat on the LE PCOS diet is what I eat on a daily basis all day long. I know I can still have a little lean meat a couple times a week and an egg here or there, but overall this is very hard. On top of it all I have hypoglycemia and just started metformin a couple weeks ago so my shaking/jitters are out of control.

Today
Breakfast - black coffee
Lunch - two medium jacket potatoes and cheddar with spring onions, tomatoes, green beans and kale
Snack - I'll try not to as I want to save my cals for dinner
Dinner - homemade pizzas topped with mozzarella, basil, tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers and onions. And red wine!

Should end up 1550cals, 31g fat, 51g protein

PS
Actually ended up 1650 cals 33g fat 56g protein because my friend didn't finish her pizza so I did!

So if you just took out meat, do you still eat breads and pastas? Cheeses and beans...like kidney or black beans? Eggs and rice?

Yes. I personally eat everything, I ate before, except meat, just in moderation on some things. I am not on the PCOS version although I should be but I don't understand it well. I eat all those except beans because they are gross. Hehe- only beans I eat are green beans. I do whole grain bread and pasta but both brown and white for rice.

Maybe you should check out ladies diets who did indeed get their girl. I am not pregnant yet. [emoji4]

Do you guys mind if I jump in? I've only been doing the diet for 5 days now and I'm still figuring it out and adjusting. I am typically a big time snacker so that's my toughest adjustment. I also didn't realize how much fat I was getting in my diet and now I'm really having a hard time staying in my goal for fat. The protein and calorie part I'm doing a little better with but that's also a bit of an adjustment especially since I love eggs and meat. Any tips on keeping fat lower would be great.

Today I didn't do so bad
Breakfast: toaster strudel (I know it probably wasn't the best choice) and coffee
Lunch: Amy's frozen pad Thai, half a poptart (I was still hungry), and more coffee
Dinner: broccoli stuffed chicken, green beans, and potatoes

Calories: 1,602 Fat: 58g Protein: 45g

The chicken was my second small portion of meat in the past 5 days and I've cut out all red meat.

My Indian dinner party was a huge success. I'm off to bed now at 1am having only put the leftovers in the fridge/freezer. I've not even started tackling the washing up and tidying!

I definitely over ate, so let's call today a cheat day! I had my homemade roast cauliflower, spiced green beans, bhindi bhaji, mushroom bhaji and two puff-pastry veg samosa hybrid things (that I made up). Also ate a chapati, half a small naan, a small popadom, onion bhaji, pakora, some chick pea curry, some potato curry, and a bite of the butter chicken I'd made and of the lamb curry my friend had made. PLUS a piece of the lemon cheesecake my other friend had made and a few Celebrations (small chocolates). So stuffed!

On the plus side, all of my homemade veggie stuff was cooked with NO oil. The puff pastry samosa things I made were baked so only had the fat (and protein) in the pastry. No defence on the cheesecake or chocolates though.

Oh yes and I had two Cava and two Red wine :-)

Everyone needs a cheat day now and then to stay sane! I've been craving samosas so bad lately. I may have to work a couple in my totals one day.

Today I did pretty well again

Breakfast: cinnamon raisin bagel with cinnamon cream cheese and a coffee
Lunch: tomato soup, a slice of toast with a little butter, half a gingerbread cookie and more coffee
Dinner: mushroom and goat cheese ravioli with spinach, a small piece of garlic bread, and a beer

Calories: 1,649 Protein: 39 Fat: 56

My fat could be better but I'm still within goal range and I'm not going to stress over it because I'm still breastfeeding my toddler during the day so I figure the extra fat won't hurt me too much.

Hi all!

Today i had ...

- Breakfast at 1030am was a soy flat white & a jam crumpet

Lunch was pesto pasta & a slice of fruit toast

Dinner will be mixed vegetables & some grilled tofu

I keep going over on my protein- despite not having meat, or yogurt & limiting nuts. Also finding it very hard to cut out a post dinner chocolate! Been on the diet for almost three weeks - three months (probably more) feels like an eternity (& I've been a vegetarian for 6 years)... so jealous of people who just have a girl without even thinking about it!

It was and I've had leftovers for lunch! I made about half of it and my friends bought or made the rest

Breakfast - black coffee
Lunch - Veg curry leftovers and a few Celebrations chocolates
Dinner - veg curry leftovers and wine!

EDIT actually ended up having a complete cheat! I've had less than five hours sleep for the last two nights AND my friend and her hubby plied me with Champagne for having their kids over for tea because it was his 40th. So...tipsy me ordered a Domino's!

Dinner - Domino's medium veg pizza with low fat mozzarella and Domino's garlic pizza bread AND obviously red wine

If you're within your limits then it wasn't too high in fat hon.

I'm not sure what to do about LE and exercise when we go away. We're heading from the UK to California for a "holiday" while we investigate the possibility of relocation. Given that I think we missed this month due to DH being away, my cycles seem to elongate to 44 days on the LE diet AND given that we both agree we're not conceiving in November (DS2 and DS3 are August birthdays two days apart!) then our next attempt will likely be near the end of December!!!! Grrrrrr. So if I relax my diet for the last week of October, will I regret it?

Yeah I know it's okay if it's still within limits but it makes it so hard to not go over with other meals! Plus it feels so indulgent that I feel like it can't be good for a girl diet lol.

weeziewoozles
October 12th, 2016, 12:30 PM
Well AF arrived as a surprise because I'd had no temp rise to suggest ovulation. Plus I came down with a horrendous cold/cough with a very high temperature and the boys have been fighting the bug so far more argumentative and grumpy than they are usually. So for the last few days I've done no exercise (literally none as I've mainly been in bed) and have over eaten on stodgy foods. I've not been completely awful in that I've hardly snacked, chose low fat oven fries instead of deep fried ones, and a Domino's topped with low fat mozzarella, mushrooms and jalapeños rather than my fav meat feast ones. So my totals have been 1800-2200 every day instead of the 1550 I usually eat.

Right now my temperature has gone down a bit so I'm feeling more myself and therefore regretting three days of over indulgence AND no exercise. Really hoping I'm well enough for the 60mins tomorrow!!! I'm sure the diet will be easy to stick to again then. Fingers crossed!

I won't be able to be on the diet but so long because I don't have a lot of weight to spare so I want to give it my all for this sway. Hopefully I adjust quickly! I'm so used to snacking every hour lol.

I'm a breakfast fan. The first time I did LE I found it hard to skip so used to make sure I did a few things to get me through. I drank a large glass of water when I got up. Then during the morning I'd have a black coffee or two and a diet soda (which I hate!). This combination always kept me going until 11:45 when I'd have an early lunch.

I'm still full of catarrh with a nasty cold so this is the sixth day I've not done my cardio but sat indoors on the sofa nearly all day! I'm craving stodge so just keeping an eye on my cals.

Today's plan is :
Breakfast - black coffee
Lunch - two jacket potatoes and butter with spring onions and tomatoes, possibly some cheddar
Dinner - vegetable stir fry and Singapore noodles (to get a bit of fresh food in me, not that I fancy it)

ThinkingofPink
October 14th, 2016, 10:15 PM
I think I need to just try to fill up in the morning more on coffee and water. I just don't love black coffee (but I'll drink it) and water on an empty stomach is always unappealing for some reason. I hate diet drinks too! I'm sure I'll adjust though.

Today was coffee for breakfast
Lunch was a bagel and pumpkin cream cheese and another coffee
Dinner was a veggie taco, rice and beans, and a beer

I don't know how you do so well on the diet being sick. When I'm sick I just eat candy and carbs all day long lol.

Lunch - two weight watchers wraps filled with chopped tomatoes and spring onions and low fat mayo, baked crisps

Literally chop up loads of veg and stir fry with oil spray, some low sodium soy sauce and maybe a dash of honey or Mirin. Then serve with steamed rice

Well I've been on vacation in California since last Friday and have tried very hard but feel I've failed really. I have stuck to being Veggie 99% of the time and hardly snacked. But I've definitely eaten closer to 2000 cals every day and most days got nearer 80g protein and 100g fat. Plus I'm guessing all my food, whereas at home I'm more aware of what's going on, so I could be wildly underestimating!! *sigh

And I've not done my daily cardio now for two weeks because of having flu and now here. All I'm managing is lots of walking but not probably fast enough. I definitely don't think that a cheat day here or there blows a sway but I feel that cheating every day is basically just not doing a sway!!!

Yup this is what happened to me.
I had a crazy short luteal phase.
Had to cut out fibre pills and saw palmetto and add in one serving of full fat dairy. I am on 2 cycle now. It's tough to get pregnant doing all of this especially when you add in alcohol daily!

That's what happened to me when weaning DS3. I just didn't ovulate after stopping BF because of the LE diet. After five months I dropped the diet and ate my usual greedy nutrient filled diet and ovulated that month!

I'm slightly concerned that the same thing is happening again. I've been on LE since June and the last two cycle charts look anovulatory to me. I had to drop my exercise a month ago due to flu and travel, and was going to start again today but I am now worried that that might be too much? I'm unsure.

Saturday
Breakfast - black coffee, piece of French bread and a scrambled egg
Lunch - homemade roasted garlic and potato soup, some french bread and salad
Snacks - a few cheddar sandwiches at the party then G&T and pistachios
Dinner - Indian takeaway - popodom, veg curry, saag aloo, rice and chapati with red wine (I imagine very high in fat so lunch was very low)

Sunday
Breakfast - black coffee
Lunch - egg mayo and tomato sandwich
Snacks - a few little pieces of pizza, G&T and pistachios
Dinner - leftover Indian takeaway and red wine

Not doing too well at the moment. I'm finding it incredibly hard to get back on track after my month of illness and vacation.

Hi! I’ve been on the LE diet since the beginning of September! I’ve been eating A LOT of potatoes with hot sauce (recommended by Atomic) and vegetables. No breakfast. Lots of coffee. I’ve had the occasional meat and due to recent illness have backslid some on my diet. But! I’m always looking for new foods to try. I also like soup and a sandwich now that it’s getting colder.

Yes!!! I started the LE diet since September. I just eat rice, mushrooms, zuchinnies, peppers, pasta, white bread, white choclate, apples, strawberries with aspartame, and I drink coffee and Cola Zero. I skip breakfast and I have lost 3-4 kg since I started the diet and Atomic said that I should eat more carbs...But it feels like am still losing weight...I don't exercise cause I don't have the energy and I think it's because of the diet.

I think so! I made a thread about potatoes and Atomic replied saying potatoes are okay to eat and that she ate hers with hot sauce. I use an organic one that’s one 10 calories per TBS just to help with calorie maintenance. I’ve been eating plenty of potatoes with hot sauce!

It is fine. Some of the things in the diet are probably overly strict and most of us over time have given up on that kind of thing and our results have stayed good anyway.

I am just doing chicken. I'm not weighing it but doing an estimate google search. I'm also not doing it as rare as others. Many skip completely, but I need it 3-4 times a week in my protein limits. Red meat as far as I thought was beef and that possibly raises testosterone. Not sure of pork. I only stick to chicken and cheese and very rarely a white fish that I poach first.

6d1f2c Ovulation charts on FertilityFriend.com (http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/6d1f2c)

Red meat is mainly beef/venison but I consider dark meat chicken/turkey to count for red meat.

My favorite meats for you guys to eat are fish and shellfish. Chicken and turkey (white meat) are ok. Things like bologna, hot dogs, even bacon are also acceptible.

Pork is a gray area. No, I do not consider it "white meat", I consider it red meat, but the thing is that the fat profile of pork has a lot of Omega 6 fat and that may sway somewhat pink. So I have pork as being ~probably~ more pink-friendly than beef but we do not have the data to say for sure.

The problem with ALL meats is this - because meat has a lot of protein and very few calories all things considered, it is SUPER easy to go over on protein from a small piece of meat and then have only eaten 3-400 calories. Then what do you eat the rest of the day??? Grains, legumes, nuts, dairy, eggs, soy - all have protein in them. YOu have no more protein to "spend" and still have to "buy" 1200 more calories of food and quite a bit of fat as well. This devolves into an awful diet where people are eating chicken and gummy worms (and will often just drop fat requirement totally which will delay or stop O for the majority of people) and cucumber or whatever. The LE Diet is meant to be a safe, healhty prepregnancy diet and eating chicken, margarine, and Craisins is NOT going to be safe and healthy.

So while you can have meat, just avoid that pitfall and all will be fine.

Mom25boys
June 25th, 2018, 05:10 PM
OMG!!!!! I had no idea about the dark chicken. *$#%

Because there is so much more protein in the breast due to weight, it was easier calorie wise to choose a drumstick or thigh to help with protein in my day.

Ugh. I have been working so hard in my sway and now I have been doing red meat all along [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]

Please don't worry about it, I don't think it makes any difference really as long as you're in limits. Red meat is allowed within limits! As long as you're in limits all is well. The thing is that some people DON"T stick in the limits and are doing more of a mineral balancing diet and they may be better off doing just white meat, but it's no biggie either way. Limits are what count.

Get a new doctor. They have no right to speak to you that way first of all, secondly you absolutely CAN have a girl, everyone can have a girl, there has never been any mechanism proven to prevent someone from having both genders!

I left this practice because this same doctor sent me in to get induced with a full term 4 lb baby and never showed up. But he is one of the smartest local doctors and I am on some depression meds that arent exactly studied in pregnancy. I needed his opinion safety wise.

He claims there are no studies that prove chlomid makes any more girls than boys. So now I'm wondering about his knowledge. And I'm so glad I didnt say a word about swaying.

I think we mentioned this already but are you counting the small amounts of protein and fat in fruits and veg (including potatoes?) If you are, DON"T. They are free for protein and fat (and of course low carb veg are free and unlimited) Also, if you're tracking on one of hte apps be aware that they are riddled with errors, I've just had a person being told that egg whites had like 5x as much protein as they really do, and that tahini had way more protein and fat than it really does.

My experience with LE Diet was always getting ENOUGH protein, not geting too much. Can you tell me the things you're eating where you really seem to be getting the bulk of your protein from them?

The tilapia had 28 g of protein and the turkey burger 22. Thats 50g right there. Then i had a cheese slice, guacamole, etc. My old self (aka my yesterday self) would have easily had another burger. Also, last week I figured out that my 5 oz chicken boneless breast had all my protein for the day. I was shocked.
I'm going to keep trying for balanced low protein meals. I'm doing fine on the fat grams I believe. Do you see any red flags that I should try instead?

Ladies something I have done a lot is eat veggies & I mean ALOT. I admittedly love my veg so I really enjoy them.

I always have low baked (for a couple of hours) eggplant, zucchini, capsicum, leek on hand which I mix through rice for lunch and add tahini or mayonnaise, nuts, lettuce, or chicken. I add it to stir fries too. I also have it alongside mash with chicken or salmon. My mash I always extend by adding cauliflower.

I also love making vege soup adding quinoa to make it even more filling.

Veges have been my friend even more throughout the last 7-8 months [emoji2]

Yeah it may have to be that you only have ONE of those options daily. But that having been said, 66 g protein is not terrible, if it's less than you were eating when you got your boy(s) and less than you've been eating recently.

you would not count anything in the squash and zucchini, would not count anything but cals in the peach. The guacamole as well likely has no protein and is not worth bothering with.

Unless u like fat free cheese, I'd get some regular fat cheese instead and you'd have a bit more fat (you're still on the lower end of that) and also some more cals.

Anyone on this diet currently? ;) DH & I have been attempting it for a few weeks. I've read some of the pages in here, seems curries are a good idea (I did one last night in fact!), Paninis, flatbreads, pastas... I feel like there's gotta be some other great ideas I'm missing!

We're doing homemade pizza tonight. Lots of veggies for toppings, possibly some chicken sausage as well. Is lots of cheese good for LE? I've read some of you down 2-3 full glasses of milk a day but I don't drink cow's milk ever XD

Just to clarify, if you read anyone having 2-3 glasses of milk a day that is not LE Diet at all. NO ONE should drink 2-3 glasses of cow's milk a day. That is not LE Diet and will in fact severely undermine the LE Diet.

3 cups of milk (not the larger glasses which many have) would be about 450 calories, 24 g protein (that is half your protein for the entire day) and for full fat milk, 24 g fat (all of which is the saturated animal fat which may sway blue). Since some people are aiming at 30 g fat for the lower levels of standard LE Diet, this means you'd have NO fat to "spend" the rest of the day. Even at the upper intake of 50-60 g fat, 24 g is a large percentage of that. Not to mention milk contains tons of Vitamin D and other nutrients that sway blue. That amount of dairy intake would really make it very difficult to stick to LE Diet as a whole because you'd have to come up with all your calories with very little protein and fat to spend (since you already used much of it up on milk!)

I personally do not believe dairy or calcium sway pink and got boys with a high dairy, high calcium diet but if you do believe in mineral balancing that is up to you totally, just be sure you are getting calcium from supplements ONLY, without Vitamin D, and not eating tons of dairy. DAiry is not a free food for pink, even on the mineral balancing diets - you can only have milk even on the mineral balancing diets, up to the potassium and sodium limits.

Since the mineral diets limit your sodium to 700-1000 mg, and potassium to 2500-3500 max, and 3 cups of milk (again, this is just cups and not those huge glasses many people drink on mineral balancing sway diets) has 320 mg. sodium and 1100 mg potassium, again, that level of milk intake even ON the mineral balancing diets has to be strictly limited and by "spending" the intake on milk, you end up having very little to eat the rest of the day.

The milk free for all ends up devolving into a very poor diet where people drink huge amounts of milk and then basically nothing else. Either they're starving all day drinking milk and eating cucumbers, or the limits go out the window and they're adding on a huge ton of nutrients onto an LE Diet and end up swaying blue. Many of the swayers from when I was back on IG, who were drinking a gallon of milk a day plus all the other IG Diet stuff ended up with boys. So please proceed with great caution no matter what kind of sway diet you believe in, because drinking tons of milk is NOT a good way to get a girl.

Cheese in limits only. I ate tons of pizza when I got my girl but with her I had the lowest dairy intake of my entire life. :)

Okay that makes me feel a lot better now :) I was starting to worry I had misunderstood the diet o_0 Definitely won't be drinking any milk, lol. Your comment does remind me though that I should probably be double checking my fat intake!

I've read some of you down 2-3 full glasses of milk a day but I don't drink cow's milk ever XDAtomic clarified the milk stuff. I am dieting since may. I was using an app to monitor calorie intake and now I stopped. It was too much. I'm skipping breakfast and I'm doing sort of LE sort of pcos. Im not a sugar eater, but some times I have white flour or white rice, I try to keep it whole grain. I eat dairy so one meal a day i have at least with cheese or sour cream. I have milk with my coffee. I have posted lots of things that i eat before. I had a lot of baked goods over the weekend that I don't normally have but i am fairly certain i was still in the calorie range. I eat chicken about 1- 2 times a week, fish a tiny bit here and there. Red Meat i had on vacation and once over the weekend. I have a lot more grains than most people on here, I need it. I started eating sushi too. I eat vegetable sushi and it helps me feel better about my dieting. Cuz I buy it ready made. I also eat lots of veggie burgers and matzah, and I found some sodium free frozen soups as well. I don't really watch the sodium but in soup that gets out of hand. Check back and see things I posted. Good luck :) time passes fast and before you know it, the diet becomes a way of life. I'm no longer dropping pounds, but I'm also not crazy calorie counting. Oh and I love the peanut butter chocolate chip larabar. I know we are supposed to avoid chocolate but I love it and it saves me from being low on everything most days.

Ohh I'll have to check out that larabar, sounds yummy!

I was thinking about using an app, if only for a small amount of time, to track calories & whatnot. Which did you use?

Yeah I read some of the replies in here but I think I'll go back & read even more for ideas & whatnot :)

I thought milk chocolate was ok to eat, as long as it’s within the limits? I love my chocolate[emoji30]

Also, speaking of candy. At the end of the day, most days I have met my fat and protein limits, but am way under for calorie intake. I read somewhere that candy is a great way to increase calories, but to choose candy that doesn’t have fat or protein in it. Any suggestions on which candies have calories but not fat?

Milk chocolate within limits is fine for most people but people on the alternate diets (for PCOS, egg quality, insulin resistance, those with more than 30 lbs to lose) have to limit sugar or even cut it out totally so sometimes you'll read about someone not eating a certain food but it's becasue they're on a different version of LE Diet. Some others are trying to blend old school sway diets with the LE Diet and they'll refer to certain foods as "forbidden".

but here it is, right from the horses mouth: "All foods are allowed on the standard LE Diet as long as you stay in limits." LE Diet is MY diet, I invented it, and that is how it works! :)

With candy, you can have candy with protein and fat in it if you can have it in the overall limits for the day.

If you NEED a way to add a bunch of calories without fat or protein, and want to have some candy, then you can have a pure sugar candy (provided you're not on the alternate type of diet where you can't have any sugar) such as gummy worms, hard candy, marshmallows, even things like cotton candy or Pixy Sticks.

Thank you!! I tend to eat 3 musketeers or junior mints every night just to increase my calories, since I always seem to be within the range for fat and protein but low on calories.

I will try to switch it to gummy worms or marshmallows. Are there other food items besides candy that I could eat that are lower in sugar (and protein and fat), but have lots of calories?

Fruit, potatoes/sweet potatoes, and also adding fat (such as butter or margarine, mayonnaise, salad dressing). Even an avocado, despite having a boy-friendly reputation, is a great way to get a boost of fat and calories without any protein. And it's fine to have it as needed!
