Joining in here. I started cardio yesterday, 1 hour on the elliptical.

I've been experiencing some anxiety lately, I think partly as a result of the low protein/low fat diet, but yesterday was better after exercise - it seems to be helping. I'm glad.

I did find that I was hungry after dinner because of exercising, but I was able to ignore that and just go to bed.

Dreamsister, cardio with your boys sounds lovely.

Got my cardio in today, 70 mins stepping on and off the Wii like a looney! I cant do anything like run at the moment due to potential Chondromalacia Patellae - waiting on xrays. Hoping this won't effect my sway too badly as atleast it's something for 60 mins, it certainly makes you sweat!

You ladies motivated me to actually jog today! I haven't jogged in years!!! I jogged for 20 mins and then walked for 40 mins. It was great! I feel awesome! I'm sure I won't be saying that in a week or two, lmao!! I'm kicking my sway up a notch and trying to lose as much weight as I can before we ttc. I am not sure when my new RE with allow us to start ttc. I'm assuming it'll be my next cycle, but we'll see. Since I just had a miscarriage I don't expect to ovulate on time this cycle, so who knows when my next cycle will start. In the meantime, I'm full on LE and 60 mins cardio! So excited to be able to try for our DD again!!! :)

Well done Momamia4, the first day is always the hardest! I'm also kicking my sway up a notch, I've not been too good with exercise lately due to knee pain but Im on a 7 week count down now and more determined than ever! So sorry about your MC, lets hope we both get little pink bundles! Pink dust your way!!

Well done Momamia. I am also back on track with diet and cardio after my MC/missed abortion 2 weeks ago. Gained some kilos while I was pregnant which will hopefully soon be gone. I don't know either when my cyclus will return to normal. I just pray I will never experience a MC again because it really sucks.

I don't feel like doing anything today. I'm super tired. I slept horribly last night. I just couldn't stay asleep! It was so frustrating! Now I'm so tired, I can barely keep my eyes open. It's going to be a long day! :( I'm taking the day off today. I need a day to recuperate. Maybe I'll do some gardening today instead. Anyone have any fun plans today?

I didn't sleep very well last night either but I was really looking forward to my workout today despite the lack of sleep. I jogged for 25 mins and walked for 35 mins. For anyone who has a lot of weight to lose, you can alternate jogging for 5 mins and walking for 5 mins. It actually burns more calories than just walking or just jogging. It's called high intensity interval training. You can shorten the lengths of time for either the walking or the jogging (shorter intervals) and it still works. :)

I'm doing my cardio again right now. I'm so lazy these days for some reason. I can barely make myself do anything, but I'm making a commitment to myself to do this.

Hope you are feeling better, prayingforprincess, and momamia I hope you got more sleep last night!

I did get more sleep last night! It was wonderful! It's definitely difficult to stay motivated to workout, especially if you get sore from your workouts. Way to go workout out today, Serenity! :)

I think I'm going to alternate yoga and jogging. I think that would be good to help me stay calm and relaxed while ttc.

Dreamsister
August 11th, 2016, 02:25 AM
Momamia. Yoga sounds great, but do you think it is pink-friendly and has enough of cardio in it? I think you need to get your pulse up and blood running, and yoga might be to calm because you are sitting down. I do jogging and brisk walking.

momamia4
August 11th, 2016, 08:27 AM
Yeah, you're probably right. Maybe I'll just do it twice a week. I need something to help me stay calm during all of this.

I'm very proud of myself, I've done an hour of cardio for 5 days in a row now! I think I'm just going to do it every day from now until BFP. I tend to make excuses and find it harder to do if it's not an everyday thing. Onwards and upwards!! :highfive:

August 14th, 2016, 09:47 PM
Awesome!!! I've seriously slacked the last few days, so I kicked my butt back in gear today and yesterday. I agree that it is harder when you don't do it everyday. I'm really good at making excuses too. :highfive: You rock!! :)

If you don't me asking, is there a particular dancing workout that you do? I love dancing and I've been doing the CIZE videos by Shaun T but it only gets me sweating towards the very end.

I'm using my Xbox 360, Dance Central games, they have a fitness mode and you can make up a playlist. I throw myself into it so I'm sweating pretty soon!

Oh ok DH has a XBox 1 and we do a have a kinect I might try that. I did a new cize routine yesterday and I loved it!! I really worked up a good sweat last night. My little cousin came over while I was doing it and she said you look like a hip hop dancer lol. I told her thanks that's the whole point of it all haha.

Is elliptical trainer ok? I have been doing 60 minute fat burn setting 4-6 days a week and I'm literally drenched in sweat when I'm done. HR stays between 135-160 based on how the intensity changes. I don't use the arms much to avoid building extra muscle..(usually scrolling on my iPad to pass the time..so just check HR periodically on the handle sensors. Seems like it's all cardio, maybe a little harder leg workout than just walking. Tells me I usually burn 450+ calories, I don't really factor that into my sway, but makes me feel like I'm getting a solid workout..

Haha! Me!! I just don't post on here anymore now that exercising is like the diet to me now- it's second nature.

I still walk my DS1 to school in the morning while pushing my DS2 in a stroller while wearing my HEAVY DS3. Then I continue on a trail for an hour and end at my DS2's preschool. Then I walk home with my DS3 in the stroller for another 20min. I get about 80-85 min of cardio a day with 60min being uninterrupted.

Sometimes we walk to pick up my DS1 from school, which adds another 15-20 min to my daily total.

Hi Ladies, I have been doing couch potato up to this point because I didn't think I could stick to the 60 min 6 days a week, but I feel crappy and I am thinking I might add in cardio now. How long do you have to be doing the cardio for it to count towards your sway or help? I have been TTC most of the year and on the LE diet for 11 weeks and my attempt this cycle will be in about 8-12 days. I am going to mess things up by starting cardio now?

Kelbear
September 26th, 2016, 08:30 PM
I am trying to do cardio too, most weeks I have been managing 5 days occasionally 6 but I can only really go walking with DS so when the weather has been bad I have missed a day or two. Hopefully this is enough to help sway just a little. Even if it doesn't it has definitely helped my mood which has sometimes been a bit lower since on the le diet. GirlieCat I think it doesn't matter too much when you start. I only started the exercise about 6 weeks ago but have been on the diet for 10 weeks. Was going to go couch potato but needed something to boost my mood and DS loves being outdoors so we enjoy our daily walks now. I was initially worried I didn't start the exercise soon enough but haven't gotten my bfp yet so have had longer exercising than I had planned.

Hi ladies! I'm back after a 3 month break. It's nice to see some new ladies on here and some have disappeared as they are pregnant, yay! I have always been an avid sports person but I have a lot of muscle and build it so easily, literally I just have to look at a gym and I build it! But I find it difficult finding the time to do a solid 60 mins a day as I have a very busy lifestyle. So I am sitting here trying to gee myself up to go out for a run before I have to pick up ds2 from nursery! And staying motivated is hard sometimes too, just have to remember why I'm doing it!

Good luck to everyone today!

Finished mine about an hour ago! I try to do first thing in the AM. I woke up at about 5:30, but so did my three boys. So I think I'm just going to stick to naptime. It's at 11am every day. So that gives me an hour to do my exercise and then it puts me at noon to eat. =)

It definatley is a hard time of year to be a vegetarian or diet at all & I have eaten turkey and salmon this week along with potatoes and fatty desserts over Xmas week ! My family are mad for food and family time so we don't stop eating for a week !! On the plus side I've had no breakfast & not a lot of snacking and also wine (a lot!) every night ! And managed to do exercise 4 tims this week so not as bad as I could have been ... but yes when it get to 1st January I'll be back on it 100%!
My first attempt will be when I've been on the LE diet for 11 weeks expecting it not to work as I've taken months to fall with my boys before but giving it a shot anyway...

So nice to hear from fellow swayers it's nice to be able to help eachother :)

Tuesday is my official start day too. I'm trying to get all the Christmas food and chocy eaten for then, I've even got a bag full of goodies packed for my son to take back to uni with him. You are being good butterflies, I've just not even bothered with any exercise this holiday apart from long walks with the dog. Having a really fattening curry tonight and it will be buffet tomorrow night, then I'm going to ease myself into it after that. I've bookmarked lots of vegan meals that look delicious so I'm quite looking forward to it, I just don't want to loose too much weight like I did last time.

Really hope I can keep this up. I was couch potatoe before falling preg in August. But after putting on weight in that pregnancy and miscarried and then Christmas I just can't get rid of the weight..

Hi ladies I'm ttc my girl next cycle (Oing around Feb 1 or so) so have started cardio! I live in Canada and in the last month we've gotten several feet of snow so thankfully I have a treadmill which I love using. I've been running an hour a day since NYE day (today was day 5), only a 15ish minute mile pace so not super fast but I can put in 4-4.5 miles in that hour without feeling like I've overexerted myself. My body is craving protein and sugar like crazy... but I've been doing my best to resist overdoing eating! I have 3 little boys and it's Christmas break so they're all home every day right now. I run when my almost 20 month old takes his nap around 1pm. I'm not working fulltime currently which has at least given me the ability to fit in all this cardio, I'm not sure I could keep up with it otherwise. Kinda looking forward to school starting up again next week... lol!

I set my alarm for 6:15am every morning and do my cardio then to Dance Central on Xbox Kinect. Actually really like it.

34332

I started the diet and exercise back in June but external stress caused me to let it slide in Nov and Dec. I lazily skipped the exercise but stayed Veggie but definitely went over the totals a lot. Started again this week properly. Hope we catch an egg soon as I feel like it's been AGES!

Could you post a link to the food thread? I'm not sure if I can access not a dream member yet! Exercise is way harder in the winter! I've hidden all my Christmas goodies too so that once I get a bfp I can take the lid off! [emoji23]

This one is great too:

Also if you type "recipes" or "LE diet" in the search box you'll probably find lots of others

Well done! I've had at least 2 weeks off with tonsillitis and delayed my attempt to end of Feb. Had been really good since November. Back on it now! Hard in this weather!

Hit the gym on Friday - 20 minute walk and then a 45 minute pilates class.
Saturday - 35 minute cross trainer and then a 20 minute circuit with light weights and ab work.
Sunday - rest

Today - will have a 30 minute walk at lunch and then a class of aqua.

I have to mix it up to keep the motivation up!

I've done 60 last night (class) and 60 today on the cross trainer- not loving it at the moment either.

Just think of the end goal butterflies! Even if it doesn't work think how much fitter we will be to run around after the next little one x

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkThe chances of exercise for me in the mornings are slim-to-none too . I do mind right before bed most days, walking on the elliptical. I aim for 60 minutes and sometimes do 50. Does it make a huge difference if the exercises in the morning? I hope not but regardless I've just got to do it when I can. How are you all staying motivated? I keep trying to think of the healthier weight range I want before pregnancy and the possibility of a girl.

Just wanted to pop in here and say that while I didn't include a strict exercise regimen in my other 2 sways I am doing it this time. My mom just recently has been diagnosed with being borderline diabetic. She has to track her blood sugar every morning and has discovered that while it usually is in the high 120's when waking up or even 130's, when she exercises the day before it is between 100-110. This is even when she had something like pizza the night before. I guess it really does make a difference. I'm a believer now.

Above all else, the exercise has been consistently high results. Not a magic bullet, but for anyone who has gotten boys without exercise, it's a great thing to add in!! :) :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Is there a point where it's too much cardio? I have been doing 60 minutes of power walking every day but now feel so good after im craving more so I upped it to 80 minutes. I will up it a little more too in a couple weeks closer to our first attempt. I normally hate exercise so this is crazy.

Man! I am new here and want to start swaying girl before #2, but it seems like the odds are against me! I'm petite, eat low calories generally, love me some pasta, run half marathons (ok used to), and am vegetarian... with one wonderful little boy. :) Excited for some motivational support and study-based education before I get started though! Keep it up, ladies! I am a natural couch potato who stopped running and am psyched that there is a good reason to get back into it. Will be a whole different game with an anti-jogging stroller toddler though!

As long as you're not losing too much weight too quickly and your cycle stays regular, 80 minutes is fine (don't up it right before attempt though because you can end up delyaing ovulation that way)

The main concern is that exercise can be kind of addictive, there's a kind of eating disorder where people start exercising more and more so I'd just draw the line at 80 or 90 min. and no more than that.

Hi everyone, I recently had a m/c and from being pregnant I gained ten pounds because I was underweight. I want to start working out again, to clear my mind. I don’t plan on trying again till end of the year. So if I want to do my exercises of squats and weights how long before restarting the le diet in full effect to drop the work outs. I just plan on do some work outs here and there till Summer, then mostly cardio for Summer. Since I’ll be busy when all four kids are at home. But for now, I need something to do to help me clear my mind.

It doesn't ahve to be super intense. Even just walking will do it! Many times people start off too intense and then either quit because they're miserable or because they get hurt, so start off doing something easier than you think you'll need. You can always get better from there.

I'm sad my elliptical is broken so the past few weeks I've really slacked off on exercise :(
I cant really do walking with my schedule (it's still too dark to go before or after work and I usually work out at 5am) so I've been doing workout videos off YouTube but it's harder for me to stay motivated with those and a lot of them encorporate a large amount of strength training.
I've tried videos from Blogilates and Pop Sugar fitness and still struggling to enjoy it and stay motivated. Anyone have a great YouTube workout channel you use or would recommend that has good cardio heavy workouts?

I used to love the workouts of millionaire hoy, he unfortunately left YouTube and has a paid channel now.
I started walking, it's nice and I can take my son in the buggy easily. I also started spin classes.

What do you like to do summerhope?
Maybe a dance cardio workout? (They are not for me haha)

I recently had a early loss and been very depressed. I will start the LE diet in mid Summer again. I want to add excerise this time. I don’t think I can handle 6 days of 60 mins with my four kids. I hope 4 days would be enough. Praying for one last healthy daughter, we want a Summer baby, so starting to try around Fall time :)

Nearly a week exercising straight. I must say... this has soooo opened my eyes as to how unfit I am. I’ve been walking and running (if we can call it that) on the treadmill. It’s so far removed from my normal couch potato lifestyle. I think I’m going to struggle.

Ok. this is where we regroup. No more running. Just walk. You CAN do this, but the thing people do wrong is pushing too hard too fast, and ending up hating it every second and/or injured. I PROMISE that walking is enough. It really works for people, and it's sustainable. It doesn't even need to be super intensive racewalking or anything. It just needs to go for 60 minutes without eating in the middle. :)

also did you see your plan is up? https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum/completed-questionnaires-and-private-coaching-access/77632-3boys-sway-info-ttc-girl.html

Jumping on here because I want to start exercising. I love walking and an ideal world I would walk every day for 60 minutes- but having small kids makes it hard. The older two would be beyond bored by an hour long walk, and the baby doesn’t tolerate the stroller very long. Looks like I’ll be waking up early before husband goes to work. Anyone else struggle with what to do with their kids while they exercise? (I really dislike the gym atmosphere so that’s not an option for me).

I have struggled with this my entire life LOL and I ended up doing videos at home and/or doing steps to music instead.

i was in a similar position, taking the kids wouldnt work and i also dont want to go to a gym, my exercise was walking the dog and i started out going before the kids got up and then when the nights got lighter i started going after the kids had gone to bed, often walking as late as 9pm-10pm. is it summer where you live now? if it is could going late be an option? :)

Yes that’s a good idea! I’m much more of a night owl so a walk at night sounds nice.
