I am having a horribly emotional day today. My anxiety is in full swing. :( I'm worrying about things that happened 15 years ago. Why do I do this to myself? I know logically that I can't change anything that happened back then, so why do I still think about it? I hate days like this. I got into a huge argument with my sister because she's always so negative. She made my anxiety way worse than it already was and then she tried to turn it around on me that I made her upset? Are you freaking kidding me?! I'm so done right now. I think I'll just avoid her for a few months. I'm so frustrated with everything!
Stress (like swaying can be) ramps up the anxiety.
I know how you feel, when I'm anxious no one can do or say anything right, and the negative nannies are soooo annoying.
Maybe take a few days away from anyone that stresses you out?

Yeah, I know. I think I will take a break from everyone. I just need to relax for a few days.

Hi girlie. Just my 2 cents. Only because I have worked for the nhs in a related field and also had problems conceiving my first, eventually fell after 16 month trying, several cd21 bloods, scans and 2 doses of Clomid.
I'm baffled as to why he didn't just prescribe clomid. As this would provide a stronger and more effective ovulation. I hope you will be reffered quickly. They may do a scan to check lining/tubes/ovaries etc. There's alot of things they can check for before ivf route is taken. That should be a last resort especially as you will have to pay for it private. As far as I am aware clomid should cost only the standard prescription charge and any scans should be free of charge too. Even if they suspect a blockage and suggest a lap and due (which I was one cycle away from) it shouldn't cost you. I hope this helps and I've got everything crossed you get sorted. Although I'm still baffled as to why your gp did not prescribe the clomid even for 2 cycles with those progesterone figures but I guess they all must work different. I was given clomid off my gp while waiting for a refferal which thankfully I never needed. All i can suggest is you dig you heels in and go armed with as much information as you can. I'm not sure if you can access the NICE guidance for secondary infertility as this might be worth a read and should help you see the options open to you xxx
Thanks, I think some gp's are reluctant to prescribe in the uk, maybe you were lucky? I think he does not believe I have a problem and really he is just trying to shut me up. I work for the NHS myself so I should be able to access the NICE guidelines on secondary infertility. Any thoughts on ovulation that would not be indicated by temp spike, picked up by two different ovulation prediction methods and then a few days later all these measures indicate ovulation? Really appreciate the advice! I wish he had not dragged his heels and prescribed clomid but he won't. Least there is time for me to read up on the nice guidelines, have a few more probably failed cycles under my belt, which would maybe mean the Dr I see might act quicker. And you never know, hope springs eternal and maybe I will get pregnant before the appt and won't need it! Thanks again, how you feeling? X

So annoying, hope the results are good tomorrow. Are you still in the 2ww? If so and you are pregnant what should your results be? Exciting! X
Hiya
Yeah still in 2ww (11dpo) fx for another few days . Trying to stay positive that my lp has been longer this month with no spotting for a change!
The mid cycle spotting and spotting before AF was really freaking me out.
From what I've read, a blood test done at 8dpo wouldn't show up pregnancy yet anyway so not gonna get my hopes up for that.
It will be Interesting to see what the results do show. This month seems to be more like my regular cycles that I had before we started our attempts 6 months ago, so hopefully it will happen soon for us.
I hope you get an appointment through soon for a specialist, and then turn out to be pregnant before the appointment date so have to cancel it!! xxx

Girlie, make no mistake doctors hate me because of my 'kick ass' attitude LOL...its probably for the best you ARENT like me hahaha.
only thing that makes sense for you in my opinion since your progesterone ISNT low is an FSH problem....
Luteal Phase Defect Treatment (http://natural-fertility-info.com/luteal-phase-defect.html)
Poor Follicle Production
If the pituitary gland does not make enough FSH hormone during the first half of the menstrual cycle (the time between your last period and ovulation), then follicle production may be weak, which can cause a thin uterine lining and an early period. This of course will prohibit fertilization and implantation from taking place.
Which of course means you NEED the clomid unless (and i think its unlikely but i am sure it happens) it resolves on its own before your referral.
We are here for you girlie hoping they get you in sooner and you can be on the way to conceiving your DD...
Secondary infertility can be just as painful as Infertility itself in my opinion because its super frustrating that you have gotten pregnant in the past but for some reason your body isnt allowing it to happen now.
if you dont mind me asking where do you sit at currently for weight and height girlie? if you are underweight that can cause a LPD too and when someone mentions running 6 miles to my lazy butt all i can think about is how fit and possibly skinny they must be because 1 mile tuckers ME out LOL

I think I'm going to attempt this cycle despite potentially being due in May when 2 of my DSs already have birthdays. I don't really want to skip another cycle. I don't see any reason to skip this cycle health wise. I don't even know if I'll actually ovulate this cycle. I guess we'll see what happens! :)

Hi momamia, remember that some of your anxiety could also be hormone related. When I first got off BC I thought I was losing my mind because my anxiety was off the charts and I couldn't get my brain to just settle down. Normally (on BC) I don't struggle with anxiety or things like that so I felt foreign in my own body. For me it is a side effect of my PCOS and hormone imbalances. All that is so much better for me since getting on Metformin and eating better for PCOS.
Hope you feel better and I am happy you are not taking this cycle off. I am rooting for you.

So it's official.
I am a POAS addict :poas:
Did another of the Amazon cheapies today - it's the ultra sensitive one (I know they're bad, but I just couldn't resist)
Did it with first morning wee, and a BFN in like 10 seconds - they say to wait for 5 mins to be sure. But there was not even a faint line and I am 12 days PO now.
I know that I should wait until 14 days, and I will retest on Saturday, but feeling a bit glum.
I have 2 Clear Blue Digitals, but I don't want to waste them as they are expensive.

I'm ok. In my own world as it doesn't feel real and I still have no real signs. I've got gd hovering about now too.
I probably shouldn't (as a responsable human)suggest this but have you thought of ordering clomid yourself? It would have to be from America or China. I can't really reccomend it to be honest as it could put you at risk of ohss, multiples, etc.....and your only supposed to take it for 6 months combined in your whole life. I was not monitored on it at all (other than 21 day bloods) but I think I'm is it's taken in combinations with other drugs and ultrasounds in USA. Just a though if you get nowhere with your refferal but is so some serious research first. Self medicating comes with a whole can of worms of it goes wrong as
As for the ovulation issues I can't really comment other than bodies are strange. It took a change of tactics for us as I think waiting for a true pos/solid smile for us was too late. I think I might ov really quick like as soon as surge starts. My temps are unreliable as im a terrible sleeper but my rise happens same day I get pos opk. I can only suggest doing every 3 days or every 2 (BUT this may sabbotage your pink sway). have you thought of a sa for your hubby? Xxx

11 dpo today for me. I am happy that at least AF hasnt arrived yet which is a great start as I have had a shorter luteal phase (9-10days) the past few months. I have had some shocking cramps this past week but I also had that with DS1 & DS2 but not quite so early. I started testing yesterday as I was just so curious & I am desperate to start eating normally again! Unfortunately with DS1 I didnt get a BFP until 3 weeks after positive OPK so I am realistic that I might not test positive for awhile yet. Hoping still to be like DS2 who tested positive 2 weeks after OPK. Fingers crossed for you & wishing you all baby dust!

You are not out yet! you might have O'ed late and actually only be 11dpo or less?
with my last pg I got a bfn @ 11dpo AM but a bfp @ 11dpo pm. For the AM test I've used the FRER and for the PM I used the CB+ followed by a digital and both were +
I sure have my FX for you
I haven't picked up any yet, I Have a CB digital left from my last attempt, but obviously I'll wait to use it...
I'm planning on getting some 88cent cheapies from Walmart and use these until about 11 dpo, and then prolly get a FRER 3 pack :D

You are absolutely correct!!! As long as AF stays away, anything is still open! Early cramping could be an indicator for PG...let's hope this is the case! I have also been cramping off and on, but I keep telling myself that it's just my imagination. I always cramp until 1 dpo and again @ 13 dpo, but never inbetween. Funny thing is I've been cramping on the left side as well. but I O'ed from my right Ovary this month.... Trying to remain neutral and not set myself up for disappointment, but it's so difficult to ignore "these symptoms" heheheh
Best of luck to you hope this month is IT for all of us, especially the ones who have been waiting for EVER!

Arghhh I just caved and did the CB one BFN of course.
I have one CB left, AF is due anytime from Monday (sometimes I am a week overdue and thats nothing unusual), so I am going to wait now, and if AF is not here by Wed I will test again.
I feel so nauseous, the inside of my cheeks feel like they have saliva running down them - thats how my sickness always starts if I am ill.
Good idea with 88cent ones, stock up on them and satiate the POAS craving lol

Just back from docs.
Progesterone is 47. So she said that's fine.
She has put in a referal for the fertility clinic which should be about 3-4 months.
Husband has to get a semen analysis done -yikes! I will wait until he is relaxing with a beer tonight before breaking that news to him lol!!
In one way I feel relieved that results appear to be fine but in the other side confused as to why I am not getting pregnant !

Don't want to start too early since I had a trigger shot this cycle but that should be out of my system by Monday, might try to hold out until Wednesday to test if I have the will power. Hoping for more August BFP's.

Ladies you are not out until your period comes... Just found out today I am 3 days behind what I thought I was. Stunned is a good choice set of words because the baby measures 5 weeks and 6 days... Putting it into perspective I had a positive OPK 12 am wednsday morning but didn't ovulate until after 12 am Saturday morning... Now I know that falls under the 72 hour window so it's normal I guess? But what that means is baby implanted 6 DPO because I had a positive pregnancy test 8 DPO instead of 10-11 like I thought. I almost fainted.

12 DPO & BFN again this morning. I started bleeding very very lightly this morning but I dont have the same period pain that I normally get - only very mild cramping like I have had for the past week on & off. I am still hoping & wishing that this is implantation pain/bleeding. I never had implantation bleeding with my boys. I am hugely in denial arent I! I am so desperate to get my BFP & get on with my life. 28 weeks on the LE diet & I am so over it! Please send baby dust my way! Anyone else had implantation bleeding? Sorry to everyone that af got. Excited for jennypenny, when are you testing? X
E3D is pinker than E4D with an additional attempt at positive opk.

Thanks for the well wishes! We are trying this month. I'm on CD13 today. I haven't gotten a positive opk yet, but we are BDing E3D-E4D. Basically whenever my DH wants, which breaks down to that pattern. I'm hoping my cycle won't be as long as they have been. Last month was a 37 day cycle, which was a huge improvement over 64/43 days!
Hopefully we will see more BFPs this month!!

Af for me im afraid!!!
I had felt that month was perfect so who knows what's happening . To be honest most of my sway has gone out the window now! Husband has the get semen analysis done, he took it a bit personal when I told him and barely spoke all night. Oh dear!
Started spotting on Friday so counting this as cd1 today as it properly started now. X

Sorry af got you, I know how you feel, I thought July was a great month for us, diet, exercise and timing of attempt but it never happened. My diet has been off the scale this week, though I have kept up with the exercise. I cannot decide if am kindof reacting against the diet as am annoyed that I have not got pregnant or if dime preconscious why, I think the diet is playing a part? I need pull the diet back as I will probably ovulate in about 5-7 days time. I also am wondering of the maternal condition at a certain point can effect gender choice at a later stage, so if I swayed hard before, it may not matter as much now. As I write it sounds silly. Off to try and sneak a coffee, my mum is here, I don't drink coffee at all but am doing it for my sway. I have stopped tea, which she is suspicious off already, because I live tea. If she catches me drinking coffee I don't know how I could explain that!
Are you getting another blood draw at day 21? I am because I want more evidence when I go for my infertility appointmrnt. My husband has to submit a sample as well, he is not happy but we are laughing about it! Xx

I would literally do any test required if necessary, men are wimps haha!
He is scheduling it for next week and has bought wellman conception pills to take his week lol! Obviously hoping to get the little guys bulked up a bit.
I have to get another blood test to look at all my other levels as my progesterone levels were fine. Which is surprising as I had 3 days of light spotting again before AF properly started today x

hahahah that is too funny about him trying to bulk them up
As soon as his test results come back saying he has excellent sperm, you will have to frame the results for him ;)
Have you had your clotting tests done by any chance ?
I had a letter this morning about being bordering deficient for Antithrombin III, which can lead to more miscarriages.
My GP did all the normal tests like you're having, but as an after thought got me in for the clotting profiles.
Might be worth mentioning.

Yeah he will be making it our Christmas card picture if it has impressive results lol!!.
I will mention that when I get my blood test done, they may as well do checks for that too using the same blood sample. I kind of thought they would check all my Levels last time but they seem to just check for whatever the gp has requested, in that case progesterone.

One thing I have learnt in all this, is that 'the squeaky wheel gets the oil' is totally the right saying lol
I had to call my GP and say "So...I've had MC, and problems concieving, all these tests say 'Normal' what else could it be"
So as an after thought he put in the clotting tests.
Same with when we were waiting to get referred for IVF appointment, it was taking ages.
So in the end I rang my GP every other day, even ended up faxing my own letter from the GP to the hospital, and then getting an appointment early.
Now if that attitude does not sway blue, then i don't know what does lol

10 DPO today and I have resisted the temptation to test early for once, I even bought a 3 pack of FRER yesterday. The trigger shot should be out of my system by now so I think I will test tomorrow. My reasoning is if I show a faint line on Tuesday then I would test again Wednesday morning to see if it got darker to confirm that it was not just the trigger. And if it did get darker then I would get blood work Wednesday and then again Friday for Blood HCG results, that way we aren't left hanging over a weekend. Fingers crossed I get to see something on the test tomorrow, I would love to add a BFP to this 2WW thread.

Hi purple,
I honestly don't trust those either, like I said I only bought a 2 pack, because it had a $2 coupon...
So I woke up @ 3:30am with a bladder about to spill, so I decided to waste one on my FRER's and.............. I can defo see a hint of a shadow, but it's so faint I couldn't capture it in a photo, I'll try again with daylight later on... not overly confident yet, but it's certainly not one of those stark white ones I've had in the past. So sorry tfahn! :( I know exactly how that goes. I think it's actually more frustrating than without the trigger because you actually feel pregnant for the time it's in your system. I cried so much when I got a bfn that cycle. :bighug: I'm so sorry.
AFM, my results from my factor V Leiden are in but it says that I have to call for the result. That makes me feel like it's positive but they don't want me to find out by looking online. I called my RE's office and they said I have to come in to get the lab results. So, I scheduled an appt for Aug 22nd at 11:45am. I'm nervous to get all of those results!! I'm not sure what to expect. I'm pretty confident they're going to tell me that I have the clotting disorder. I seem to have like all of the clotting disorders. :/ I honestly think the only reason I had successful pregnancies at all is because I was so young and somehow that trumped the clotting issues. Ugh.... I'm so frustrated with this whole process but still long for my daughter. :tissue:

Thanks Momamia, I almost didn't want to test this morning as when you don't you can still hold onto hope that maybe you are pregnant.
Good luck getting your test results. I know when I had my recurrent loss panel done there were 2 tests that I could not see the results online, it only would say see note which I couldn't access. Nothing came of any of the tests for me, all results were in normal range. I kinda wished there was a reason I wasn't getting pregnant then there might be hope on fixing what was wrong. But the tests showed everything was normal so its still just waiting game. Fingers crossed everything turns out normal for you.

So I went and got a 3 pack of the CB you suggested.... After a FRER (which showed the exact same lame line as this am) I decided to use the CB, result : Not pregnant. :/ Curious as I am( and never have before on a digital, I took the puppy apart and to my surprise there were 2 test strips... Both had a faint line, but clearly visible and blue in color, so I thought well that's probably a given even if not pregnant right? So I went and used the 2nd out of 3 tests and dipped it in water, yes I did lol, and guess what! NO lines... Do you think that means something? Here's the pic both still wet... Top 2 strips are the water sample and the bottom 2 my wee wee :p
Foreign Chick
August 16th, 2016, 04:43 PM
So here's what I found on how this particular test works.... in case someone ever wonders ;)
Certainly got my hopes up :D
Unlike the traditional Clearblue Pregnancy test, the new Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test with
Conception Indicator contains two test strips a low sensitivity strip and a high sensitivity strip.
Inside a Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test
with Conception Indicator
Urine travels up the Absorbent Sampler and flows through the pad. If hCG is present in the urine it
will bind to anti-hCG antibodies attached to blue dye in the pad. The urine moves along both test
strips. As the hCG and anti-hCG antibodies pass through the result line zone, they bind to anti-
hCG antibodies to form blue result lines.
Both strips contain a result line; the low sensitivity strip also contains a control line. The Test
monitors the control line on the low sensitivity strip and only when a valid control line has been
detected will the result lines on both the strips be determined.
At low concentrations, hCG binds on the high sensitivity strip. At higher concentrations, hCG will also
bind to the low sensitivity strip. The concentration of hCG detected in the results lines of the two
strips determines the result of the Conception Indicator: 1-2 weeks since conception; 2-3 weeks since
conception; 3+ weeks since conception. If no hCG is present, the anti-hCG antibodies attached to
blue dye flow past the result zones on both strips, and no lines will be formed giving a Not
Pregnant result. If insufficient hCG is present, result lines may form but will be below the lowest
thresholds set, and a Not Pregnant result will be displayed.
The lines produced on the strips cannot be read by eye. Instead, an optical system is used to
measure the density of the lines. A red light shines onto these specific areas, and the light reflected
is converted into an electrical signal.

I wish it was Friday so badly! I really want to go see my alternative medicine doctor to find out what he's going to add/change with my meds to help improve my odds of a successful pregnancy. I feel like this week is seriously dragging and it just needs to stop. LOL! :running:

Well 1st of Congrats on your pregnancy!!! Now share some of your baby dust, will you? :)
How exciting, soon you'll get a nub shot to guess on... can't wait!
Sending you tons of my Pink dust and gratefully will accept yours, if you don't mind to spare some xx
You can have all my blue baby dust :) Well actually maybe share it around with the other blue swayers too :)
Happy to take the pink dust, although gender is already determined... just a matter of waiting to find out... assuming all is ok this time! I'm doing my 12 wk scan at about 11.5wks so it will be too early for nub guessing sorry. I actually don't want to nub guess as with DS2 I was sure it was a girl nub.

That's exactly what I got again this am! The line hasn't gotten any darker :*( I couldn't resist last night so I did another FRER and it was stark white- NOTHING! I followed by the CB digital and of course -Not Pregnant, and after I took the test apart again, the lines were barely visible... wonder if my urine was too diluted ? Anywho I am out of CB and just used my last FRER this am... lol so I have to wait til I go to the store again, which will probably be this afternoon lol But I am slowly giving up hope, I feel the line should have gotten darker by now 10/11 dpo today... :/ Feeling Blah, but keeping in mind that its not over until the Fat lady sings...

Feel like pulling my hair out! TBH I'd rather have all stark white ones instead getting my hopes up with these "false positives" I sure wish I had the will power to resist the testing and just wait 3 more days... yeah right as if this is going to happen...

Foreign- how long were you awake for before you peed on the first test and did you drink anything before testing? That would cause dilution for sure. I'd say if you are pregnant you need to test on a morning right when you wake up do nothing else before he test and don't drink a lot before sleeping the night before and don't touch liquid until you have peed on a stick!

AFM- I'm not sure what to make of my chart. I thought I had an almost positive opk two days ago, and now I think it truly must have been positive. I only tested in the morning. This morning my temp is high and had a bit of spotting with mild cramps. I must have ovulated, which means my attempt at O-2 is no good. I've never conceived from an O-2 attempt before. On the bright side, it's definitely one attempt! So I wait for AF. Hopefully this is not a case of gearing up to O and not until later. My CM was watery for the past two days and is now sticky, so I'm hoping that this means my cycles are back on track with a normal cycle length.
Now the waiting begins [emoji12]!

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to say something to me I always appreciate that. I will not be attempting next month, because I dont want my daughter to have to share a birthday with a new baby. Im going to wait for October that seems like such a perfect month for a boy sway anyway, boy month and it is supposed to be a full moon right around the time I ovulate, and I fell off my diet for the 2ww, still was taking all my supplements tho, and drinking my banana smoothies. Well if you did skip next month we would be doing October together, that would be so nice having someone to talk to and cheer each other on! Im sorry to hear you've been having a hard time, I know how you feel. All this swaying stuff is so new to me and I almost feel like Im driving myself crazy to do everything the right way, its kind of taken the fun out of baby making for hubby and I. There are a few things I will do different next time. The first time we tried I did bsf and the 2nd time I mixed the baking soda with the pre seed so I think I will leave the baking soda out this time, I have seen a few women who say the used it a few times and never got pg then when they did. Not use it they did get pg. And think I am going to start temping, I gave up on it, because I would always forget, but started again about 6 days after our attempt, and going to start the bd as soon as a get a positive Ovulation strip instead 12 hours later. Sorry for the long post, but I really have noone to talk to besides the hubby and I feel like I need a woman to talk to who would kund of understand where Im coming from. I'm rooting for you! I pray you get that BFP soon!

I'm so anxious to ttc!!! I called my fertility doctor to make sure it's fine for us to ttc this month but I had to leave a message. I have a feeling he's not going to tell us anything new at my appt on Monday (aka my miscarriages are due to bad luck), and I should be ovulating on Sunday. I don't want to waste a whole month! I'm not even sure that my body would let me get pregnant this month anyway, since I miscarried a few weeks ago. I want to be pregnant so badly! I'm sick of waiting!! :( DH is also sick of waiting. Especially since his brother just had his 2nd DD yesterday. He's a little baby crazy at the moment, lol!!

Here we go- Today is my last day of clomid. I am cd7...I had no side effects so far and I feel normal. I am on an unmonitored cycle at 50mg so I will wait and see what my body does. Think I will start OPK tests cd12 which is very early for me but I don't want to miss it and I know clomid can mess things up. I have felt fairly relaxed up to this point but now I am suddenly nervous and anxious to TTC this cycle and see if this works.

FX for you GirlieCat!!! I hope it works for you!! :) I did clomid. I only ovulated 1 egg on 50mg. It was a painful ovulation though. I ended up on the couch with a heating pad for a few hours. That was the worst of it that cycle. When my doctor upped it to 100mg, I had a lot of hot flashes at night. My ovulation was not as painful though.

I had my attempt a few days ago. Unfortunately I did not manage to detect a pos OPK but I have never before had so much O-nausea and O-cramps. I know I had an egg bc I saw it on a scan last week. According to my fertility doc the egg would be ready to go this past weekend or start of this week. But no POS OPK and no watery cream in my pants!
Maybe my body geared up up O and then the egg decided to dissolved itself.
This is only 3 weeks past my MC/missed abortion which happened first month TTC and on 50 mg Clomid. Maybe my body is confused and drained.
Fx we see a lot of BFP this autumn. This swaying-proces is hard in the long run. So many things to keep track on and so many things to worry about.

AFM, I dtd last night. I still haven't heard back from my doctor's office and since he never said too skip this cycle, we went for it. I still think I'm at least 3-4 days before a +opk, so if I do hear back that we are supposed to skip this cycle, our attempt has microscopic odds of actually doing anything. Overall, I'm confident in our choice. :) I'm so excited for my doctor appointment tomorrow. I'm interested to see how he adjusts my meds. Hi everyone, I'm back. We are still going to ttc until November. After talking to DH I do have some concerns as to how he will cope if I do get pregnant & it's another girl. He admitted to feeling like a failure that he can't produce a boy. I just want another baby & it's a bonus if it is a boy. He was disappointed when we found out dd3 was a girl & he has bonded so well with her so & loves her so much so that gives me hope. He has also given up on shettles timing thank goodness so that gives me hope that I may get pregnant yet. I was telling him how I looked at heaps of charts on ff that had boys & the majority did not follow shettles timing. I was sick last week so that meant no bd all week but this week has been better & we have been bd more regularly. I hope to o in the next couple of days. Still been doing pretty well on HE diet, I have to remember to snack between breakfast & lunch some days though. Been doing weights again so am feeling good.
Sorry to hear that AF came for some of you, I hope this cycle is much better & good luck for those in the tww.

I don't think my body is going to let me get pregnant this cycle. I can tell that I'm definitely ovulating today but I haven't gotten a +opk. I would have had to have gotten up in the middle of the night (like 3am) to get a positive. I have a very short surge and typically catch it at night before bed. My cervix isn't even open though - it's firm and high, the same as it's been this whole cycle. So, I guess my body wanted an extra month to adjust after the miscarriage. It's ok though because if I would have gotten pregnant this month, I would have been due on May 13th, and that's too close to my other kids' birthdays. It also gives me longer to keep losing weight and be on the diet which is really important to me this time. :)

Hi this is my first post in the 2ww thread it's my third attempt for baby no5! I think I'm 1/2dpo and already symptom spotting it's going to be a long couple of wks. I completely stressed myself out last month so hoping to hold it together this cycle I'm trying to hold out testing as long as possible as last time I was so stressed testing from like 6dpo several times of day I ended up going off the diet but I'm probably calmer this cycle as I'm not as desperate to big pregnant my sway hasn't been very good this time so part of me hopes its bfn and I will have a better sway next month so either way I'll be happy but I just hate the not knowing part lol!

Welcome bre_cooper & team-armo! :) FX for both of you!
I think I'm 3dpo. My doctor adjusted my thyroid meds, so I'm a hormonal wreck. I'm in a really cranky mood today. My sister in Arizona sent a text message at 6am our time and it woke me up. I tried to fall back to sleep and finally dozed off at 7:30am, right when my husband decided to let out the biggest, loudest snore ever! I gave up trying to go back to sleep. I'm also in an argument with my neighbor about the fence she's trying to build that extends into my front yard. To top it off, I have an insanely busy day driving all over Timbuktu for various appointments and taking DS1 to and from driver's training. I'm just waiting for today to be over. I don't think it helps that I'm extremely nervous about my appointment with my fertility specialist. I'm not sure what he's going to say and that really stresses me out. Also, this Thursday is my DS3's birthday. He would be 12 years old this year. He died when he was 15 weeks old. I'm always a little more on edge in the week leading up to his birthday. :(

Welcome bre_cooper and team-armo! Good luck to you both. I told myself to wait as long as possible to test because I find that keeping hope alive is calming to me. It isn't easy of course. I am finding this month that I am equally nervous/anxious waiting to ovulate because I am month 1 on clomid and afraid I will miss my surge since I know clomid changes the cycle. Trying to just find things to keep my mind occupied.
Momamia hope you feel better soon. Sounds like a very stressful time for you. I am sorry that this week is especially tough because it is DS3 birthday. [emoji17]

Yay Bre!! I'm SO glad you're back!!
Welcome Team-armo!!
AFM, I'm FINALLY gearing up to ovulate and got a positive opk today on a Wondfo and a CBD. We are going to BD tonight and again in three days- we are doing E3D. This will be our last month TTCing- I'm ready to be done and enjoy my kids! I'm hoping the person I feel I haven't met yet comes to me in a friend, girlfriend, or future child of one of my kids.

Thanks ladies! :) My appointment with my fertility specialist went really well. He said there isn't anything that showed up in the testing to indicate a reason for the miscarriages. He wants to see if I am having something hormonally going on that's causing a problem. He said late ovulation can cause a miscarriage if the egg is too old. He wants me to go in around cd12-14 next cycle for an ultrasound to see if I have an egg that's about 20mm aka about to ovulate. If I don't (which I know I won't) he wants to do injectables the next cycle. He said he doesn't see any reason to try Femara first because it typically doesn't do anything for women who don't have PCOS, and especially since I didn't get pregnant on the 6 cycles of Clomid. I'm pretty excited about the injectables. I know there is an increased risk of multiples, but I don't really mind that. I'm so happy to finally be able to move forward! :cheer::cheer::cheer:

Welcome new people, good luck to everyone attempting or waiting!
Am cd 15 today. Was doing e4d's, yesterday evening I had ewcm, I expected to maybe get a peak reading on the cb fertility monitor and a static smilie on ovulation sticks but just high on the cb monitor and flashing smilie on the other. Early morning alot of ewcm, also had a low temp this morning, sharp pains on left side this evening. I am due to attempt tomorrow. Though I wondered if I maybe o' ed already? Any one who has a short surge, how short is it? Could I have surged after I tested this morning and the egg been released all in less than 12 hours? If so attempt later tonight may not help if I opted to switch to e3d's and tomorrow s would defo be out? Any thoughts? Thanks x

Yes girlie you can surge the same day. Your LH will always be at its 'peak' late afternoon and night. So its best to test twice a day.
Edit: sorry I am so foggy and tired I see where I read that wrong now. I think it is possible but highly unlikely. You probably surged afternoon or night yesterday or you haven't yet and will later today. Would be good for a pink away if that's the case to have sex today because then f you surge today you could still end up not ovulating until Thursday... Idk how your particular ovulation/surge timing works though

Ok ladies, give it to me straight! If you knew that this was the last cycle you were TTCing, what would you do: a) stick with one attempt at the first positive opk, or b) have another attempt a day AFTER your attempt at first positive opk. So attempt on Monday and attempt on Wednesday.
I want to be in the best shot for pink BUT I also want to give it my best shot to get pregnant too. I should mention that today marks the second day in row of blaring positive opk on a Wondfo and a smiley on a CBD.
Thanks ladies!! I appreciate all advice!!!

Basically, you dtd 3 days in a row, starting at your first +opk, the fourth day you take a break, and then dtd again the fifth day, just to make sure you catch the egg if for some reason ovulation got delayed. It's supposed to increase conception rates and not considered too blue sway-wise. I'm planning to try it this cycle if DH will play along. Good luck!

Xx - I feel like I'm in the same boat. It's not my last month but I'm thinking about adding an attempt. I've been on the diet since September 😱 so I am sooo ready to get my bfp. Thank God I didn't start exercise, that would have done me in! Anyway, I agree with everyone, and say add an attempt especially if it's your last month. GL I hope this is your month!!!
Question for me, do you all think it's better to add an attempt before I expect +opk or after you get it. Or if I am adding an attempt should I just add one before and after because at that point what's one more attempt?

You all can download the SMEP book, it's free, and not very long, and explains her theory quite nicely. She claims the most important day for conception is the day after +opk, that is the second day.

Here's what Atomic wrote in answer to my question on another thread:
Do NOT BD every other day. It is both blue friendly and doesn't up odds of conception, either. SMEP may be a little blue friendly but at least it improves odds of conception!!!! I do not want anyone BD every other day! It gains you nothing and sways blue. If you gotta sway blue, at least do it in a way that will help you get pregnant.
Grace, I understand how scary it is but of all my swayers who have gone on this long not having conceived, I have ALL of them do SMEP and most of them get girls. It is time for SMEP!

I don't know if my DH will go for SMEP. He will BD unprotected, but if it seems too much like I'm trying to get pregnant, he may pull the stops on BDing unprotected.
See my DH is on the fence wanting a 4th child. He is willing to BD unprotected because to him, E3D, E4D, and even EOD, makes it seem harder to conceive.
I just don't see how SMEP is better for pink than 2 attempts. SMEP you have 3 attempts in a row and then one again the 5th day. We basically did that with DS1. DS2 was one attempt and so was DS3.
Hmmm. I'm not sure what to do. I may go for one tonight instead so two attempts back to back instead of EOD.
Thanks ladies! I appreciate all of your input!!

Yeah, sounds like my DH. I have to catch him in the right mood in order to pull it off. I was also thinking of doing two nights in a row, it would be easier to do as far as DH is concerned.
I think perhaps dtd EOD is more blue friendly because then sperm production is at its best. By dtding 3 nights in a row the sperm storage doesn't get a chance to build up. In the smep book they say that people with sperm count issues should do EOD and not the classic smep.

Hi girls!
I just wanted to give everyone an update...I got my first BFP 10 DPO (currently I am 21 DPO). My test lines were continuing to increase through the first week and then this last weekend it looked like they were getting lighter. I freaked out since I had a chemical last month and so I ended up getting a blood draw yesterday with my doc. At 20 DPO my HCG was only 90. I know there is a huge range for HCG levels but this is definitely at the low end of the spectrum. We won't know anything for certain as I need to have a second draw tomorrow. If it at least doubles, that's good but if it doesn't of course we know what that means...
I did take a Clearblue Advanced w/Weeks estimator yesterday and today and it indicated I was 4-5 weeks pregnant, which would be within range. However, I am just not feeling very optimistic at the moment :-(

I am Very confused by your numbers Jen... Blood draw at 20 was 90 but if you got a clear blue result today that said 3+ your numbers are way higher than that. Has to be like 3600+ to get that reading
edit: okay i get it now. You get the 2-3 reading that means you are 4-5 weeks pregnant. i know where you are coming from now! thats good. to get that you need at least 160. i would guess from that Jen that your numbers will have doubled :)

So am cd 17 and i the i either missed ovulation or my body bailed on me, both clear blue fertility monitor and cb digital opks not detecting estrogen surge, high on the clear blue and flashing smilie on the digital OPK. I had a temp spike yesterday so thought maybe today but no. Temp down today. I think I have not eaten enough this week, do you think if my body bailed on me that if I increased my food intake it might try to ovulate later in the week, this happened in June and I ovulated around day 21? Many thanks x

This swaying proces is so exhausting and time consuming. So I am sure you are doing the right thing when you decide to focus on your 3 cute little boys. They need you. I wish I could also just pull the plug too and calm down with my family as it is. How will you protect yourself from getting pg in the future? FX that this is your sticky month.

Thank you! We didn't end up having an attempt, because my DS3 was having a tough time cutting his first tooth last night. I'm getting to a place more and more as time has gone on with me not getting pregnant, that my family feels complete. I also don't like to force things and TTCing has become to feel like I'm trying to "force" another little being into our lives, especially with my DH not 100% wanting a 4th child. He's doing this for me, which I'm grateful for, but at the same time I want to be respectful of his feelings too.
I'm at peace with whatever happens. I don't expect to get pregnant this time around, but I'm a tab bit hopeful. When we were TTCing my DS3, I couldn't get pregnant from an O-2 attempt and with my slow temp rise this morning I think it's doubtful our attempt will result in a BFP.
SMEP stands for sperm meets egg plan- you BD three days in a row when you get your first positive opk (not the darkest), take the 4 night or morning off, then BD again the 5th morning or night.

So sorry jenc8060 you are experiencing anxiety about this. In July after my first TTC-attempt I got very clear BFP for five or six full weeks in a row although my HCG numbers did not double as it should. It turned out I have had a chemical that turned into a missed abortion. My body thought it was pregnant and kept producing HCG-hormone up until 43.000 which is quiet high. You can test positive with just a HCG-number of only 5. I am not saying that the same thing is happening to you. Just saying that one can have a strong second line even when you are in the middle of a MC. FX you'll get good news from your blood draw today. Big hug.

Jenc posted in the new Spectacular September 2WW that her numbers dropped and she is losing the pregnancy. Very sad ☹️.

I'm still hanging around here even though I am not swaying anymore. I'm 8dpo today and 2 BFNs already. I told myself I wouldn't test early, but, I have no self control.
It's so weird. I had THREE attempts in the fertile window - was doing just one (swaying pink)...and I STILL can't get pregnant.
Maybe something is wrong???

Hey you, good to hear from you, most of us were unsuccessful last month so we moved on to September, post called spectular Sept! Don't know about something been wrong but atomic has said to me that sometimes it is just not the month, even with good timing! X

A negative at 8DPO is not definitive! Don't count yourself out until AF shows. :)

8dpo is still early Lissastick. Hold out for a few more days. I have promised myself this time I will not test until 14dpo and I am going to do everything in my power to be strong because I completely agree that testing too early is just too much of a heart break each day. How many cycles have you been trying?

So 13dpo, tons of neg tests. However, today I got some weird tests looking cheapie cassett tests.
So, I got a FRER and got what looks like a faint-ist of faint line, I think.
What do you guys think?

I think I may see a hint of a line on the first pic. I don't see anything when it is inverted.

Thanks ladies!
I pretty sure it was an evaporate or something, even though I see the faintest color. I took 3 diff kinds (FRED not an FRER and 2 diff cassette kinds) and all pretty neg maybe a faint faint line on one cassette but again probably an evap.
Still no AF, I'm officially late as of the 1st or just O'd late again (which I continued opks and never got anothe pos).
Good luck everyone!
Low HCG is more common in boys or girl? Or is this totally debunked?

I had low HCG with DS2 and crazy high levels with DS3. I mean, they were so high that they thought I was having 3-5 babies! It was 23,000something at 21dpo!

This was our 5th cycle. Got pregnant the second cycle, turned out to be a chemical.
I got a faint BFP at 10dpo! I'll be retesting like crazy the next few days.
