I go for a walk 5 days a week. The problem is, they rarely last more than 40 minutes or so. I can't get my toddler to be on board for longer than that. So my question is, am I able to do 40 minutes on one walk, then at least 20 more later in the day, or does the hour of cardiovascular have to be all at once?

I believe it has gotten the best results doing the 60 mins at one time. I have a gym membership with childcare so I can get my workouts in kid free.

It needs to be 60min uninterrupted. At 40min, it's too moderate and will sway blue. I usually bring a snack and a special treat for my 3yr old. I also have him bring a car to play with on the tray of the stroller. We also play I spy and talk about what we see. I also sometimes end at a park so he can play for 20-30min and then we walk back home. He usually gets excited to go! He's my second son, so he enjoys the one on one time with me.

It should technically be 60 min. all at once but can you possibly do something around the house before or after for 20 min and then tack the 40 onto that???
