Wow! 3 successful he sways! That is SO awesome! Congrats!

we have two beautiful little ladies, ages 4 and 1.5! I am still nursing the little one and I've decided to push my sway until I'm done nursing so probably November/December or January. This baby will be our last no matter what gender! So im just hoping to stack the odds in our favor for some blue! :)

I think ttc blue over the Nov-Jan time is a great idea especially if you are in an area which celebrates all the xmas, thanksgiving holidays as all the good foods are flowing! :)
What are you currently doing for your sway?

Wow, 3 successful sways!! Amazing!! & 11 little people... So so awesome!

I am Breana, bre_cooper11... Don't judge my name it's patheticly unoriginal, haaha!!!!!) swaying blue. We have 1 boy, 8.5, and 3 girls; 5, 2.5, and almost 10 months. Our son is from a previous relationship and he has never been in the picture. DH adopted our son before he was born and due to deployments he was unable to be there for his birth and didn't meet our guy until he was 5-6 months old. No matter, they're super close, or as DS says, 'best bros'.

I have been pre-swaying since Jan/feb and began full on swaying 1 July. I hoped to have stopped nursing by now but we are still at one feeding at night- usually have my night snack at same time. Because of the HE diet I got my cycle back when our lil one was only 6 months, while nursing!! Then we moved and got sick and my cycle stalled. So the plan was to postpone our attempt if O didn't come on time, but looks like I Od on cd17-18 of a 31-32 day cycle!! ...So, We just had our first attempt and in the 2ww! We only plan to attempt until our October cycle due to birthday and timing and then on to next year!

Good luck to everyone!! Go Blue!!

Wow I love it 3 successful he sways! My name is Desiree and I have 4 daughters, my hubby has 3 boys from a previous marriage its funny because people used to tell him all he could have was boys, well they got that way wrong. This is our first time trying to sway for a boy we started planning in March, but I was still breast feeding our 2 and a half year old boy was she a hard one to break, so we started trying in June no luck then was kind of happy about that tho because I did not find gender dreaming until the end of May, so we waited until August to try again, but no luck again so now we are moving on to October and hoping that is my luckily month, this time I will leave the baking soda out heard some bad things about it. I would really love to get pregnant with twin boys, but thats just wishful thinking, but I'm thinking if my sway works I will be trying one more time so he could have a little brother, all of my hubbys sons are grown men now, so he needs some little guys around here too, come to think of it we have 5 dogs and only one of them is a male, lol

bre good luck for this cycle!:luck::luck: Will you be able to hold out to test of are you like me and have the sticks out at 7dpo:bigsmile: Saying that though I did pick up these latest LO's at 8dpo so why not! I will hunt down the test make incase anone wants to keep them in stock, I definitely recommend them, nice wide IC's and with an obvious line or no line:agree:
i used these tests Instalert (http://www.accessdiagnostics.co.uk/acatalog/pregnancy_test.html), plus I used the 25miu ones which showed up super early, so there 10 miu ones ahould be awesome! The link is for a UK site, I don't know if there available elsewhere though??

Desi, definitely leave out the baking soda and anything else of that type:) The preseed is recommended, not tried it myself, also the guinaffesen sp?:) which you take a spoonful before dtd about an hour I think, I did use this for the 1st two as was still b/f previous LO's so never had much ewcm. Plus I think the guinafessen more easily available and quite cheap, I remember getting mine from the UK poundshop in the form of Lemsip chest and flu remedy?? :)
Twin boys was also my dream lol, apparently b/f increases the chances of twins so I bet bre's gonna sneak them
Another note on b/f quickly is that don't think you have to wean before a blue sway, I have 6 blues and I think most if not all were conceived whilst still b/f plus there are loads of blues even from b/f pink swayers so b/f isn't strong enough to unbalance a solid blue sway :agree:

Three successful blue sways and 11 kids?! Tell me everything, haha!

I'm here preswaying since I didn't know about swaying until my anatomy scan for my DD. I had about the most extreme LE lifestyle possible! I had HORRIBLE gender disappointment and antepartum depression, but like all the wonderful people on here told me, now I'm so in love with my DD that I feel like I can't even remember what those feelings felt like!

We're EBF and she's almost 3 months old, but it appears I might have gotten my cycle back, just much lighter/shorter than it used to be! Bre, your point about HE having something to do with it makes me wonder too, especially since I was following it so closely while pregnant.

After a tipsy convo (oops) with my DH, he's admitted to being more on board for trying to sway boy (since he's outrightly said he'd be fine with all girls), so I'm hoping it won't be as much of a struggle as I thought it might!

I'm also secretly hoping for twins. Even b/g twins would be fine in my book, especially since we have hypothetical names picked out. B/b twins would also be awesome 😍

I just know I love babies and thrive a bit on stress/accomplishing things which raising a child is fulfilling amazingly in me... I just don't like the pregnancy part :giggle:

I bought a bag of 20 cassette tests, 20miu... And yes, I already took one, lol!! BFN of course! I've also had a lot of CM... Almost ewcm like... So, I got worried that maybe I didn't O so took an opk, it was - . Phew! So pretty sure I Od when I was supposed to!!

I do not have pressed at the attempt. I did take guinafessen. Glad to hear you thoughts and experience with nursing and swaying! Personally, I conceived all my girls while nursing BUT my diet was LE to the max and my maternal condition was very low. I really think diet is the biggest factor!!

Hope you catch a blue egg soon Desi!

Hello i thought I would introduce myself. I'm Holly ( Bommy_7) We have two girls 2 and almost 4. I plan in starting the diet and getting my iud out Monday and then the plan would be to start actually swaying in Dec. I have been here since march but life has been crazy so we pushed our sway back to this winter. Glad to get to know you all :-)

No 2 (http://genderdreaming.com/forum/add-your-boy-sway-/14935-boy-sway-2-underway.html)

For No3 who was an oopsy, I had cut out bread, was taking wheatgrass, was starting toning up again and was snacking on nuts and dried fruits instead of my usual chocs, cakes and biscuits! I think the wheatgrass is an excellent base for a blue sway:agree:

Welcome Holly and Amelia :) Great to see some more blue swayers!!

I just wanted to add that when it comes to your weight lifting you can literally just grab things whilst walking around the house, you dont need to book up a gym membership. My favorites were bench pressing the toddlers, great because your weights would come to you and say lift me! and also when walking to school or out with the pushchair/stroller I would carry the back two wheels slightly off the ground, nobody could see it but I wa building muscle at an every day activity ;)

I used the powdered stuff, I would just eat a half teaspoonish in the mornings, I found that if I had it later in the day then it would keep me awake into the night! Same can happen with multi vits and bee pollens, I think its the b vitamins in it that keep your brain buzzing all night:)

Hey ladies, Just thought id chime in and say that I ate at least a serving of chicken nuggets daily before my son was conceived. Pretty sure the amount of fat/protein in them, besides the fact that they are meat helped sway blue. Just an idea for yall :)

Haha great Idea ELP! My girls like to wrestle a little bit. I'll admit I don't love weight lifting. I am a runner to the core lol. Realized after seeing this site that I was defiantly girl friendly. I got my iud out today and got the supps for hubby and me today. I am so excited to get started and hubbs in on board too!

So, I believe I'm out... all of my tests have been stark white! ugh! It was such a great attempt and I've been crap in this 2ww- mostly with bding regularly
(DH has been in super strenuous training). I believe, I should be 12DPO.

I'm sorry bre! :( it's ok if you don't bd regularly during the 2ww though right?

I had a second period 31 days after my suspected first AND a few days of EWCM after, so looks like I'm back in the game for real here!

So I tried Coconut water this morning and I about threw up. I hate it ugh! Do you think that plain coconut milk will help. I am using my fitness pal and trying to get my potassium up.

bre_cooper11
August 30th, 2016, 11:45 AM
Panther, thank you! We should be keeping up with the 2-4 BD pattern even in the 2ww, especially, if you get a BFN- just like your diet. & thats great about your cycle!! Sounds very regular, too! Which is great!

Bommy, you can use coconut milk but I don't think it has as much potassium as coconut water (especially for the low cal/potassium ratio of coconut water). I make a shakeology shake everyday and use my coconut water in that or mix it with some naked juice, because like you I wanted to throw up!
Also, I'm sure you've read that fitness pal doesn't add-up potassium the greatest!

Bommy_7
August 30th, 2016, 01:32 PM
Thanks Bre_cooper- I was wondering that. I think I'll try adding it to things like my cereal then that will at least give a bit of a boost. I'm sure I'm over thinking things, but I really hope I am doing it right lol. Also I have heard that MFP is not super accurate, but I felt like it would at least get me into a better range. I am trying to track the macros to help me :-)

If you don't like the coconut water, eat kiwis. They have way more potassium and are tastier! Then you can enjoy another cup of green tea with lemon on ice!! That's what I always did, unknowingly with my first 2 boys!!

Are people trying to raise potassium levels for HE sway or is that an IG carry over? Coconut water is very good for you so great for a boy sway but too much of any specific mineral isn't great and may sway pink so don't be tempted to add any extra supplement to it ok:)

I've been weight lifting for over 4 years! Also have been taking Vit D for years on top of prenatal because of my thyroid issues.

I'm trying to reintroduce eggs :/ I ate SO many when I was pregnant that I seemto have an aversion to them now. I made dozens of mini quiche when I was nesting and froze them -- have only eaten two!

I'm also trying to raise potassium by diet, but am allergic to coconut. Hopefully potatoes, daily banana, berries, nuts, etc are doing the trick.

I was asking about potassium and trying to add more foods that contain it in my diet. I am not taking a supplement just doing the natural route and really cant stand the taste of coconut water. I have a couple months to get this thing right since we are trying to wait to TTC in November. Good luck to all you guys trying now and thanks for all the advice :-)

I dislike coconuts so I'm not doing any coconut milk or water. Instead, DH is gobbling it up for me. :)

AF just came today so I'm in the game again for a third cycle. I will be adding guanafesin this month (I realized the Robitussin I bought wasn't quite right so I ordered guanefesin tablets), and DH agreed to try Preseed. I had bought the Preseed before but he was scared of it! He's never used lube before I guess...

Also adding CoQ10 this cycle. Maybe I'll drink the coconut milk/water this cycle too, hmmmm.

Just think 'every other day' for the boy making BD pattern! Dont know if that helps..
Ive posted my BD pattern when ttc both my boys a few times on the forum so sorry for duplicating but for the benefit of what i mean by 'every other day'.. here it goes:
My 1st son and BFP - AF finished on CD5 and we BD on CD10 CD12 CD16 CD25
The month before that and BFN, AF finished on CD4 and we BD on CD9 CD15 CD16 CD17 CD18
The month before that and BFN and first month of TTC - AF finished on CD5 and we BD on CD6 CD10 CD12 CD14 CD17 CD20

For my 2nd son and BFP, Af finished on CD4 and we BD on CD7 CD10 CD12 CD14 CD18 CD20
(BFP first cycle)

So as you can see we seem to BD every other day rather than all the time or multiple times. Although, i see in our second month of trying for our first child we BD 15,16,17,18 - but BFN and i think i missed O anyway by not BD between CD9 and CD14 so doing it all those days in a row afterwards was probably just for fun now that i look back! Lol

Dont know if this sheds any light on the DTD part for you but thought it worth the mention xx

Oh, I'm not confused, but thank you! It's just a comfort thing for me -- I feel really good that my diet and exercise was so LE (with some other factors) that I could change, but our sex habits being the recommended boy way already sometimes makes me think, "Can we get a boy then?!" But I know it's more than BDing!

Although we're only having sex maybe 2x a week now 😣And it's usually a race to the bedroom if our DD goes down for a nap!

So AF came on Sep 8TH :(... Which means this cycle was 40 days long >.< I had solid smileys on CD 16/17 but obviously that can't be right. Frustrating. Maybe I am naturally a late O-er. I am currently considering waiting until next year because we're still nursing, my kids are so close in age, and I'm worried about fertility... ugh.

We haven't decided one way or another... still doing the diet/exercise and I just started a federal position at a hospital here, so, getting back into the swing of things. Ahhh.

Aww, I had been wondering how things were going with you! I'm sorry AF showed up. I don't think you could deduce you're naturally a late ovulater while still nursing though!

Conversely, my expected third pp period came a week early. It was two days, still light but there was red sticky following pink spotting, cramps, cravings, acne, tiredness, and -- unfortunately -- PMS mood swings. I'm going to try OPKs this month just to get a feel for if/when I'm ovulating.

I don't mean to be away for long periods, but life usually just gets in the way, haha. Both my husband and I started working, on complete opposite shifts...so it gets alittle crazy around here. :) I guess I am taking an average of all my cycles, my cycle is normal at 32-34 days... With my son, 9-years-ago, they adjusted my dates back 2 weeks, so, I assumed I ovulated late then too... Actually, I even went to the Dr. for extreme fatigue and my pregnancy test was neg, blamed it on low iron. Went back a week later and it was +!

I will kill for a 2 day period but not the symptoms, ugh! Mine usually lasts 6-7 days! I also plan on ordering new opks, too!

My whole life was 8 day heavy periods on 30 or so day cycles with awful PMS and crippling hormonal migraines, so I'm hoping these light short ones stay! It's why I was on BC with no periods for so long ;)

Your doctor story is crazy! I actually took a test this week because I was SO tired, peeing a bunch, and heartburn... your story makes me nervous, haha

Welp I am now week 3 of boy diet and I started to do a 30 min weight training video last week and I gain 8 lbs!:suprise: Ugh So now I am trying to cut back, but I am having the hardest time getting enough protein. I pretty much eat a protein and veggie with every meal! How do you do it with out adding a ton of fat or calories??? Ugh I am so frustrated and I just got started!
Also to add that I know some of it is stress we just finished our house refinance and it was really stressful so I hope that hings get better now that we are back to normal and hopefully adjusted to the fall routine.

It's pretty much impossible to gain 8 lbs of fat (or muscle) that quickly. Most of it is likely water weight from your diet change and new exercise routine that will even out over the next several weeks. What do your meals look like though?

I am trying to tell my self its some water weight. Ugh. So most of my meals are like follows:

breakfast: 2 or 3 eggs spinach and mushrooms and cheese scrambled or PB toast (Dave's killer bread) and a banana

Lunches are left overs from dinner mostly: my most common meals are:
Pot roast with potatoes and carrots with a little Ranch
Taco salad ( chips meat on spring mix with cheese and sour cream)
Spaghetti (whole wheat) and meat balls
chicken quinoa chilli.

I normally try to eat more meat with some veggies for lunch and dinner, but sometimes we do pizza or cheeseburgers

Snacks are normally apples, kiwi now, trail mix yogurt with pretzels.

I am trying to measure out everything and keep my portions in check. Any advice or tweaking is appreciated :-)

I know on the main trying to conceive a boy there are a ton of sticky posts that help out line the diet and other swaying techniques so I would start there :-) I also know you can purchase a personalized plan as well. Good luck to you!

I'd try weighing/measuring food for awhile. I'm a big advocate of it, because studies find over and over that most people are off on estimations and vastly underestimate their intake. Are you drinkingmuch with calories? Since juices are an HE thing, I'd watch amounts of those for sure.

Did I read at some point that probiotics are good for a boy sway? In the past when I've taken one, my stomach felt better, and I was thinking about introducing them again. Is there a certain type/ingredient to look for/avoid? Thanks!

Yes re: probiotics. I have been taking them once a day for the past month or so and really like them! The ones I take are from the grocery store and say Acidophilus Probiotics on the label. Interested to see what others are taking.

Yup, atomic says probiotics for blue now! Acidopholius plus other strains. The best/most effective probiotics are always refrigerated.

Thanks :-) So I have been a little better about watching my portion sizes and I am back down about 4 lbs so my initial panic has worn off. I know that I put on muscle easy and its a reason why I struggle with lifting because I tend to gain or nto loose anything for quite a while. So far I am getting weights 3 days a week and I still run twice a week. Also I think we might be pushing out our sway again! We have a big trip to Disney land next October ( for ODD's 5th bday) so really it would be better to wait till next spring summer. Ugh, I am bummed but I know it will be best. We were supposed to start this last summer but had to push it back because life. I am still sticking around and keeping my diet as blue friendly as possible.

You def have to do what you need to do! We did Disney when I was 31wks pregnant, and it was amazing! I had so much fun but now we have to go back for the little ones too, haha!
I have been on a more boy type diet & weight lifting since Jan/Feb and I have been steady at 10-15lbs heavier than normal... mostly muscle but I got a bit of chub. I have kept light cardio in my sway to keep under a certain weight and this was in my sway plan, too. I just generally always ate protein and carb... but changed the type of protein. I used to eat a massive amount of chicken! Not fried... like grilled. So, now I eat way more red meat and quick snacks for protein are full fat milk, beef jerky, nuts, boiled eggs, string cheese (all plus good carbs) and banana and peanut butter, yum! Just a few thoughts and then I added coconut water and started drinking shakeology. So that's really help not gain tons of weight! I'd be a house if I didn't have my shake or 'spend' my calories and nutritious foods! So, it's doable to get into the boy diet mindset and ease into the diet without gaining 50,000lbs! haha! Anyways, good luck!!

Most of the successful sways have had diaries , full fat , when I swayed for DS1 I preferred to stay away of anything that contain calcium , like literary 0 , but this time Im using prenatal that has calcium in it , so I decided to raise my calcium intake , ( afraid that little calcium may sway pink) just to be in the safe side .

I don't think ether but I think I have my self all Freaked out. I think Hubby and I are wanting to give it a good go in December. We have been loosley following the diet and supps, but now that things have slowed down for us we will be focusing more on that. I am lifting 3 days a week (30 min dvd and 3 to5 lbs) and trying to work up to at least one more. I have kept my running to two days (30 mins) a week and hope that's not too much. We have been talking about taking ODD to Disney next October, but I wonder if we should try the next year so we can give this sway a good go and I really don't want a super large age gap since it'll be 3 years from youngest to newest baby as is.

Most of swayers here bd every day or every other day starting from AF ends, the more you bed the better chances , but I actually waited till my OPKs are darker to save DH's energy and sperm lol ( 2 days before Od on Ovd after Ovd)

I always freak out , when I swayed the last year I had been so strict to everything lead to a boy , I stopped any cardio and focused on building muscles , I snacked every 2-3 hours even though If Im not hungry at all , I was actually never hungry and forced myself to eat and snack

I even timed my attempt to be in October as they say October is boys month lol

I'd been hoping to try again Nov-Feb since fall/winter are more boy friendly months, my daughter would be at least 6 months old, AND it incidentally would make having a baby more economical because of insurance... but I don't feel supported at all in this plan on here, which sucks. My husband is even on board, but doesn't like the idea of what I would do if it was another girl...

I wish PGD was more economical and less taxing. I wouldn't even know where to start where I live (Michigan)

Quick question - should every BD after AF be unprotected? Or just unprotected for the 3 attempts after a +OPK?
Also is it reversed for the southern hemisphere as in Nov-Feb are my summer months but is that still boy friendly to conceive those months? My daughter was conceived May (so my winter months) and born right in the middle of my summer months - it was so hot!!

It is up to you guys to decide - if you really believe in timing it's fine to skip the unprotected BD. I personally believe it sways blue to have unprotected sex and that's what a lot of us who have all boys have done but if you are a believer in timing then you don't have to. Entirely your choice.

I just weighted myself (wearing clothes, mind you) for the first time since Feb-Mar... 147! I started swaying at 155 5 months post-partum. I believe some has been tuned into muscle! I am normally 140 on average... by just dieting and cardio.
I am feeling very good about this for my blue sway!! Fingers crossed!

I remember reading that somewhere

I think it's more girl friendly due to the mercury levels in shell fish.

Yes it had a mystical reputation as a pink food (dating back milennia according to what I've read) and I feel like because it does experience so much pesticide runoff and mercury and all kinds of possibly bad stuff, just better to leave it off the menu. I would not run screaming from a prawn or anything but at the same time there is so much out there in the world to devour I'd stay focused on other things. :)

I just wanted to add my 2 cents and see if it will help. We use the pull out method for years, we had spurts of tons of BDing and then none due to military training or opposite schedules. So, I was sorta exposed to DH, if you know what I mean. He's also not big on releasing with out me...
DD1- we had 2 attempts, with abstaining before. (super LE and couch potato).
DD2- 1 attempt, she was our oopsie. We had just agreed to sway in a few months, haha! But not a lot of bding before hand.
DD3- Our failed crappy attempt at IG diet. We dtd tons around O, and then I o'd 8days late. It was also my 2nd egg after DD2 and DH was blowing dust. We also were on opposite shifts and barley touched each other in weeks!

DS1 (not conceived with DH), I had no idea when I o'd and we had unprotected sex all the time!! So different!

For this sway, we dtd every 2-4 since Mar, to promote healthy sperm and I believe in being exposed to your SO regularly sends a signal to your body that a male is present and the environment is great for a boy... Then extra 3 attempts around +opk. We choose to add some AM attempts because none of the girls were conceived that way, so why not... So, we will see if it was a factor!

Just thought I'd share my experience with having the girls and this time around!!

Birth control question...
I have been on bc steadily for 2 years now. I started because of the bad cramps, pms, nausea length of my cycle, etc. Once I stop using bc will I need to wait a little bit before trying to track my cycle? Like let it get normal again? What do you do exactly? I heard if you wake up & dont take your bbt right after you wake up it messes it all up. This will be my first & last sway attempt. So once the bc stops I want to be ready, especially with 3 girls & 4th pregnancy unknown i only got to 9 weeks. It was different than my other ones I feel it was my boy but I'll never know. So anything to up the chances will help. :)

Hi everyone. I got a positive OPK just now showing "peak fertility" on the clearblue digital. We BD not last night but the night before and BD yesterday morning - not really expecting to get a positive any time soon as I'm waiting for my first postpartum AF. I've stopped breastfeeding my DD and have been on the blue sway diet for about 4-5 weeks now with all boy supps etc. Have I wrecked my sway by BDing the yesterday morning and only getting a positive midday today? My temp dropped right down today too which usually happens the day before or the day that I 'o'. What should I do regarding BDing? Another attempt tonight or wait till tomorrow morning to not deplete his sperm and sway pink.

From the information I've gathered on the forums, birth control sways pink. You definitely need to give your body time to adjust. You track your cycle now and continue so you can see patterns clearly when you begin to make attempts. Hormones need healthy fats and minerals to work properly and balance themselves out, so I would start on a lighter version of the HE diet, without excess calories and then kick it up to full gear a few weeks before your attempt.

As far as bbt, your temperature has to be taken before you get up to do anything, even to pee. You need to have slept at least 3 consecutive hours before you take your temperature because yes, your chart results will be skewed. Basal body temperature is the temperature your body is at rest and any movement, digestion etc will change your temperature.

HTH!

Popcorn and cornflakes are good too

Hi ladies, I made DH have a strong coffee before BDing last night and the poor guy didn't sleep then the entire night. He actually has a bad caffeine intolerance - so cola, coffee, tea, energy drinks, chocolate etc. keep him awake for like two days and if he has too much gets paranoia and heart palpitations etc. Is it really recommended to help sway blue? Should I just tell hubby to suck it up and go to work tired?

For eating what your not fond of I used to tell myself 'Just eat it for the cause!' You may find yourself actually starting to like things after a while! For work a good mixed nut bag selection is a good idea, plus some good dried fruits, apricots, figs and dates are some highly nutritious good suggestions, I really didnt like the figs first of all but then did find myself looking forward to them:)

Like ELP said, it may have been carried over from other methods/websites. It truly makes no sense whatsoever to consume something RIGHT BEFORE bd and expect it to affect sperm. For sperm health and maternal environment to be affected, you have to change diet and lifestyle ahead of time, like weeks ahead :)

Smoothies! You can easily sneak in 2 tablespoons of nut butter into a smoothie and not actually "taste" it. I personally add a tablespoon of peanut butter to my greek yogurt, I'm not sure how and why I thought it was a good idea, but it tastes soooo good! lol. I'm not a peanut butter fan.

There's also a new nut butter that is VERY tasty and sweet without sugar. Maybe you can give it a whirl, it's much more palatable than any other nut butter I've had. No peanuts. I found it at costco. It's REALLY tasty.

Also, another way to get nuts in is in salads. Walnuts are wonderful on just about any salad. You need alot of leafy greens to get all the wonderful micro nutrients from them, you can make a large batch of salad dressing and top it with walnuts. Yum!

Grrr. So I got a peak smiley on my digi midday Tuesday and my temp dropped right down. - usually ovulate the same day as I get my peak. Yesterday morning (Wednesday) it shot right up, however I had to get up at 3am for DD and knew this would affect my temp. Today's is still somewhat up but dropped a bit from yesterday but is only the same as some pre-o temps. Do you think my body geared up to O with a peak and a temp dip but then didn't? It's never happened before. Tomorrow's temp will be wacky too as I fly out tonight for a wedding on the weekend.

I should mention I've had ovary pain and got the peak smiley on cd13. I usually ovulate day 16 and get a posutive opk either 15 or the day of o. One time I ovulated day 19 and one other time cd21.

Coffee for DW sways pink not for DH, but it's not the most important practice for DH to drink coffee before attempt. It a practice to 'vitalize' sperm before BDing, DH is supposed to drink it 30min-1 hr before BDing, but as I said it's not a must for swaying. In fact, DH drank coffee before DD3 attempts- mind you my diet didn't change that much and I was drinking coffee/lattes like mad.

You want to eat the most nutrients you can in your snacks... They have those p3 snack packs- it has chunks of cheese, a serving of almonds, and lunch meat. They're different ones too, lunch meat is high in nitrates ,so, you could use this type of snacking as a guide and change it up... but add a healthy nutritious carb with your proteins.
I would meal prep- I would mix walnuts, cashews, and almonds in a baggy and I always carried a lara bar or a bag of dried apricots and this was one of my protein+carb snacks while on the go. I would pre-make hard boiled eggs for the week and grab one in the morning. Or beef jerky + a healthy carb- grapes, oranges, pineapples, peaches, pairs (I usually had fruit cups for work). I was working out regularly so, I added naked juices... I'd have a naked juice and a boiled egg, tuna sandwich, or beef jerky for example... Sorry, not trying to ramble... just trying to remember, but I also work and we have 4 kids, so, I had to be creative with what I ate and what was easy without eating crap. Keep in mind when adding nuts you still want more omega 3s and less omega 6 - which tree nuts are higher in omega 6s.

So Im not a ovulation expert! However, temping wasn't reliable for me due to waking up with my other kiddos throughout the night and am. Have you taken anymore opks? I would keep taking them just to watch them turn neg... Anyways, you normally ovulated 24-48hr after peak smiley... normally. I could be you haven't ovulated yet... or your gearing up for another LH surge, which is why I'd recommend to continue taking OPKs. Also, keep in mind the HE diet can make you O sooner too...

Anyways good luck! Keep bding every 2-4days!!

Thanks bre. I did tests yesterday afternoon, Last night and this afternoon and all got negatives - so maybe I did ovulate? Between the peak smiley midday Tuesday and the Wednesday afternoon negative? The temp dip would correlate with this too on the Tuesday.
So frustrating. Guess we'll see in 12 days time as that's my usual LP length. Does the HE diet do anything to your LP length? If it has made me O, it's made me O earlier than before but does it have any affect on LP?
Thanks ladies for all your advice!!

No problem! That sounds like you O'd!! I would still suggest (if you have cheapie opks) to take one daily just to be sure! I don't think it affects you LP, your LP should only every vary by maybe 1-2 days! So, if it's normally 12 days will probably remain at 12 days. Fingers crossed for a BFP!!

Yes, very likely. It isn't a bad thing though. My cycles changed in length when I started eating more before starting my swaying dietary adjustments. Any dietary change will usually affect your cycle some way.

How long was your cycle in total? and how long was your LP?

Well, vitamins and prenatals are considered a dietary change because your nutritional intake increases. I highly doubt your cycle will change too much though if your changes were mild.

Did you undergo any form of heavy stress this past month? Are you charting?

Oh and also, b vitamins, specifically b6, are known to lengthen the luteal phase and regulate cycles. That's probably what's happening :)

What's the line for exercising enough/too much? I'm afraid that I'm an over-exerciser. I want to cut back if necessary, but I don't want to give up working out entirely because I'd like to continue throughout a pregnancy. Right now I'm riding a stationary bike for 45 minutes at a time, or I'm jogging 3-5 miles (45 minutes or less) at a time. Thanks!

Walking and lifting but no jogging.

I personally don't even lift and I don't think I'm going do be lifting much during my sway because I have just recently managed to get my cortisol under control and I don't want it going up during my sway.. or ever again lol. Too much cardio is said to sway pink and only cardio sways pink. My thoughts on exercise to sway blue is whatever it is that raises testosterone such as; lifting, competitive sports, workout videos that make you push yourself, and kick boxing. I attempted to keep my cardio at 30 mins (if walking and running) and then added sets of weights or 15 mins of kickboxing. Lastly, I kept my workouts between 2-5x a week- 5 if it was workout videos.

Thanks, Bre! I don't feel like I can completely give up cardio simply because I want to be able to keep doing it throughout a pregnancy. I do some weight lifting, but not often enough, so I should probably increase that.

I believe that the average time after weaning is six to eight weeks before you will see your menstrual cycle return. It can take even longer then that for it to be regulated though. It is SO different for everyone and even very different child to child! My first breastfed baby I got my period back when she was 6 months old, even though I was nursing round the clock still. My second who is almost two and I am still nursing I didn't get my cycle back until she was 14 months! So I wouldn't worry about it until it's been closer to 8 weeks!

Hey ladies ! Mind if I join? I am cd1 of month #2 ttc blue . Month 1 I simply increased my calories. Tried eating a bowl of cereal and a strawberry banana smoothie every day. I also took prenatals. DH cut back on drinking and was abstinent for 7 days up until positive opk & then we bd'd through to O. For some reason O was delayed last cycle. I usually O cd 14 but didn't until cd19 this time. I had a pretty bad cold so I'm wondering if that was it. Either way, af got me :( So here I am, and trying to make our sway even better. Any recommendations?
Heres what I got so far:
My Vits & Supps-
prenatal (includes vit D & OM3)
COQ10
Wheat Grass
Possibly FUR & RJ? (opinions on that?)

DH -
MultiVitamin
COQ10
Probiotic

Plan to BD every 3 days or so after AF & every day from positive opk through O & have 3 attempts.

Diet has been

Breakfast has been one of the following-
cereal
oatmeal w/ OJ
Eggs ,cheese, & Turkey Bacon w/ sweet potato
Omelet w/peppers,cheese,tomatoes & turkey bacon

Snack after breakfast-
Usually crunchy oats n honey nature valley granola bars

Lunch-
Chicken wrap with spinach wrap, avocado, sour cream, tomatoes, peppers, cheese, & lettuce
Chicken breast sandwich on whole grain bun, white cheddar light popcorn
Fish, rice, and veggies w/ teriyaki sauce
or
Sandwich and tomato soup

Snack after lunch -
Fruit cup or fruit

Dinner-
Usually consists of a protein, carb, and veggie. Trying to limit starchy carbs like mashed potatoes & mac n cheese so unless its rice or something 'healthy' I prefer to get my carbs from lots of veggies & whole grains throughout the day

Snack after dinner-
Usually a bowl of cereal unless that's what I had for breakfast then its oatmeal or a granola bar

Other factors & considerations-
DH cold showers during fertile period
considering Morning BD during fertile period for DH quick release and EWCM wont 'dry up'
I plan to O before DH
Doggy style or reverse cow girl
Possibly going to do baking soda douche or finger.. or maybe just pre seed (opinions?)

Any feedback would be awesome ! Fingers crossed our prayers are answered soon ladies :)

Everything looks great , except for the abstaining !
This will lower his count , you should make him release every 2-3 days ,
Also one month of the diet and supps is not enough , you need at least 3 months !

Yes , after really researching and checking out this site I learned abstinence was the wrong thing to do so we will be bd'ing every 2-3 days until fertile period and then every day . I've actually been doing the diet since July . So 4/5 months now. The prenatals are only month 2 now though and the vitamins this will be month 1 . But I guess it can't hurt right ? Better than not taking it I guess .. I really don't wanna wait 2 more months to try because of a couple vitamins :(

I take a probiotic every day. Not sure about DH - my hubby is on a men's multivitamin and vitamin D 1000 a day.

On a different note just got my first PPAF. Exactly 4 weeks and 2 days since I stopped breastfeeding. This is exciting as I've been temping and could clearly see I ovulated (awesome for someone with PCOS!) except I only had an 8 day LP (started spotting late at night 8DPO. I was always 12 day LP before my pregnancy. Will it regulate back out? Anybody else's change and then stay that way after birth/breastfeeding?
Blue dust to everyone!

I don't have PCOS or was breastfeeding but after I stopped birth control my cycles took about 3 months to even out . They went from 23 days to 24 to 28 which is where I think they'll stay because that's where they have always been . But with the shorter cycles I was still O'ing around cd14-15 so I would only have a 9-10 day lp whereas it used to be 12-14 days . I think hormones in birth control are similar to what your body experiences when you breastfeed so hope this helps :) glad you ovulated this month ! :)

So just wondering if you guys think my sway is ok? I'm planning for my first attempt to be after this next cycle.

Vitamins:
Me (age 28) prenatal, extra folic, vitamin D 1000, probiotic, fish oil
DH (age 30) men's multivitamin, vitamin D 1000

Frequency: every 2-4 days with 3 attempts at +OPK

Meals:
Breaky: cereal with full cream milk or eggs, bacon and wholemeal toast with avocado and tomato or wholemeal toast with peanut butter or vegemit and a glass of full cream milk

Snacks throughout day: yoghurt with berries, almonds, hard boiled eggs, museli/granola bars

Lunch: leftovers from dinner or chicken and salad sandwich or meat and a salad

Dinner: Steak and veggies, chicken, rice and veggies, pork and veggies, Spaghetti bolognese with veggies in the ground beef, sweet potatoes with a lo of dinners.

Drinks: 1 green tea per day, 1 or 2 V8 juices per day, LOTS of water, 1 glass of full cream milk per day

Old wive's tales: blue onesie under the bed, and negative ions on tummy using phone after BDing in fertile days.
Unsure whether I should take EPO (I know it has to be less than then the fish oil) or robitussin to give me more fertile CM? Should I also give pressed a go?

That's only me to believe in little calcium [emoji56] I cut back calcium when I was swaying for DS1

I'm having trouble getting food in to be honest. I'm very uninterested in food so it is tough, but I'm consciously grazing and snack on a little something every time I go to the kitchen, which is very often. I'm eating alot of nuts, that's what I reach for because they will provide the most calories without having to eat alot. My diet is very high in healthy fats. I eat one whole avocado per day (lots of potassium), nuts, greek yogurt, a block of aged cheddar per week (yikes! lol), chicken or fish everyday (not all 3 meals though) 2-3 eggs per day and whatever veggies I have available, usually leafy greens. I also try to have one serving of tomato soup (made with home made broth) per day, although the last two weeks haven't been as often.

I'm not walking as much as I should be due to very cold weather, but I'm trying!

I'm been a little naughty with sweets but maybe only once week. I have two questions - 1. What do you guys think about Taking alkagold to change your PH to make it higher and more boy friendly? Obviously you only do it during your fertile window.
Also 2. I don't know how I feel about moon phases. My daughter was conceived during a new moon phase, so that supports the ions theory. I had a look and I don't line up with moon phases until July next year - every cycle from now till then is around new moon phase. What are your opinions? Don't worry and just try to expose myself to the opposite ions?

Not really :( It isn't easy to access here. I only eat grass fed and organic, so it's very tough. I eat lamb occasionally, but otherwise it's just chicken or fish. I do eat organs though and I'm hoping that helps me out!

Hi linlin, a few people say they don't have a lot of dairy however atmoic said she was drinking HUGE amounts of milk and go boys - even went the full dairy to sway for a girl as suggested by another gender sway site and ended up with a boy. It's up to you. Some people say cut back on dairy while others say they were still having it. I typically have full cream milk with my cereal in the morning, a little bit of cheese (whether it be on it's own as a snack or as part of a sandwich) and maybe a yoghurt every day or second day. Atomic your thoughts??

Hi guys,

I've stayed away awhile because I felt like I was having issues being understood on here, but thought I'd jump back in.

It had turned out I was pregnant during that time in what I've called the "high school horror story" since we were doing extremely cautious pulling out while I EBF (even though I had gotten back my period at 5 weeks postpartum), so I got pregnant from "precum." We ended up losing it around 7 weeks.

That bummed me out enough to want to come back here, but I held off. I wrestled with a lot of things, but mostly had to deal with the relief it was to have myself fall pregnant without "trying" as it felt like an answer to a lot of things I was going through. To then lose that answer was crushing.

Now I'm back now because one of my good friends just found out she's having a boy; her and her husband felt and thought girl, I literally had a dream about them having a boy weeks ago -- bam, boy. Obviously my dream was from my own desires, but it's hard to see that keep happening around me, especially after a loss that I *did* feel was a boy, and miscarriages are most often boys, though obviously my intuition could be thrown by my desires too.

Sorry to be a killjoy -- just though I'd check in, especially since I now have to process yet another person around me having a boy I so desperately want.

LOL! I totally feel you. I was doing keto before my sway and we buy 10 FLATS at a time from the farm. I eat 2-4 eggs per day although the last week I've been a bit lazy and have only managed like 1-2. An easy way to get your eggs in is by making mug cakes like this one:

Keto Chocolate Cake in a Mug | Ruled Me (http://www.ruled.me/keto-chocolate-cake-mug/)

Throwaway_panther
December 8th, 2016, 12:22 PM
Atomic always says no food is make or break. More eggs, even if not every day, than you had before is still something. The larger amounts of eggs are supposed to be for vegetarian sways, as well.

For that mug cake recipe -- I know I just said no food is make or break, but aren't artificial sweeteners sort of a no no for blue sways? I know Stevia's natural and a bit more neutral, but Swerve is often used by diabetics because it doesn't raise blood sugar -- which is what Atomic recommends doing for blue sways, yes?

cosmosis
December 8th, 2016, 12:38 PM
Swerve is mainly erythritol, which is a sugar alcohol and its quite new to the market. Neither swerve or stevia have carcinogens or toxins (which would hinder fertility) and they are the only two forms of sugar substitutes I allow my clients for that very reason :)

From my understanding, what we want to see in a blue sway when it comes to blood sugar, its a steady blood sugar level. No spiking in either direction, hence, the consistent eating/snacking.

I think you'll be fine, @business woman. By the time you give birth your little one will be nearly 2.5 and you can easily have him potty trained and sleeping well (if he's not already) by then. It is a bit more problematic when little ones have no independence before a new baby arrives, like the 3 under 3 moms (yikes!), but even they manage.

Today is CD1 for me. I'm tired lol. I could really use a break from AF for a prolonged period of time! We got our hand on some lamb and lots of it, so I'll be eating a little bit every day for the next 3 weeks. I hope it helps my sway :D

*We had 4 attempts in the fertile window and before that it was every 3 days.
*used preseed on 3 of the 4 attempts
*laid down for 30 minutes at least after each attempt
*used missionary position with legs over dh shoulders
*female O each attempt
*took prenatals every day for 2 months before conception
*dh & I both took coq10 morning and night for 2 weeks before conception
*dh took multi vitamins for 2 weeks before conception
*i took 4 wheatgrass capsules morning and night for 2 weeks before conception
*tried my best to increase potassium which included 2 99mg capsules a day and through diet (banana smoothies, coconut water, OJ)
*avoided acidic foods
*ate average 2300 calories a day - on diet about 2 months
*atw cereal almost every day
*always ate breakfast
*tried to keep positive ions up - cell phones , laptops , iron , etc.
*dh only wears boxers
*no saliva used during attempts (kills sperm)
*gender calendars say boy (not that it means much lol)
*dh & I both took probiotics daily
*i was on antibiotics prior to O for a short time which MAY sway blue.

A couple things I'm worried about -
Moon phase was girl - although my dd1 was conceived in a boy moon phase so not a huge deal .
I had a pretty nasty cold prior to O
1 of our 4 attempts I did not have fertile cm and we didn't use preseed

I haven't been putting too much emphasis on salt, but I've definitely added a full teaspoon (which is alot!) as a supplement in my mineral water daily on top of what is usually in my food. I also eat alot of hot sauce which is just vinegar with tons of sodium lol, so I sure do hope thats enough.

The diet is definitely very calorie dense to continue for a long period of time. I eat zero junk and zero empty cals and I've put on weight quickly. I hope I get a bfp this cycle and be done with it lol. It will be exactly two months of diet at my first attempt.

I will be continuing my supplements throughout pregnancy, just going to eliminate the snacking.

I edited my previous post with a picture of the chart showing 1-4 weeks is best on the diet , 5-8 is a close second and anything above that is hit or miss .
I'm so glad I got my bfp , I did not want to be on that diet any longer . I love food but I don't love the weight that comes with it . Even if it wasn't junk food , it was still more calories than I'm used to on a daily basis .

I also added a spoon of salt to a cup of water when I was swaying for my DS1 , put I added a table spoon not just teaspoon !! I know alot ! But I did that only on my bfp cycle starting from CD1 , because I was freaking out that I didn't get enough sodium!

I will try the hot sauce this time on my next cycle , Although Im not fan of it ! (I remembered that a lot of boys mom around me are fan of the hot sauce !! )

Oh God! How did you manage?! I can barely stomach the salt I added haha! I dilute it quite alot in my mineral water. I'm trying to think of where else I can add salt where I won't notice it too much.

I'm pretty sure atomic has said the sodium isn't super necessary. I mean, at its core, if we're doing HE that's not a "mineral" diet that's been more debunked. I've definitely incorporated more sodium, too, but I also was practically phobic about it when I conceived my DD, so I thought if anything it could help me anyway (since I often have low BP, especially postpartum and during pregnancy).

I know we're supposed to "eat smarter, not harder," but I'm getting in that place too. Even though TTC boy while breastfeeding used to be okay, now atomic seems pretty against it for TTC boy, or just postpartum in general.

Since I got super oopsy pregnant at 3 months pp, I feel like I don't want to be caught out again and would rather just try -- especially since that loss really made me want my future boy even more. I'm just saddened -- I feel some blue swayers were not even a year out but their sways are supported, but others are almost chastised for wanting to try again soon :( This isn't going to go away for me, especially post-loss.

It's hard to resist going back to eating less. I've honestly thought, "I have to get pregnant or I'll just go back to starving"... and even thought, "I can't wait until I'm pregnant and can just be nauseated and not eat for a few months." :|

Hi all! I have been following this thread for a few weeks now and it has been really helpful. I posted a few days ago looking for opinions and haven't had any responses. Wondering if maybe I posted it in the wrong category and should have posted it here? Not really sure. Learning! TTC Boy, Breastfeeding & dairy free diet, thoughts?

Hello and welcome! If you have questions, just post under the general swaying forum. This thread is a daily chit chat thread and admin don't usually post here :)

Good Morning!

I decided to add grapefruit juice. I'm totally not a juice person so this is difficult, the thought of all the sugar going in my body is driving me nuts. I'll be drinking 2-3 cups per day until O. Hopefully it helps with EWCM. Started Robitussin on the last day of AF also. We'll see what happens!

I also added actual milk to my diet 2 weeks ago and I have one cup per day in the form of hot cocoa lol. That's a big change for me. I'm SO done with all the food! I better score this month, God willing.

How is everyone doing?

The juice comes with sugar added, although it isn't much, grapefruit is a fruit and has natural sugar. Also, almost all juice has added sugar unless it is squeezed right in front of you like at a juice bar or something. I just don't usually eat any fruit either lol, so for my body its been a long time.

Why do you feel your sway isn't going so well?

Ooh , why don't eat it then instead of the juice?

I'm not happy with my sway because I'm drinking tea with sugar in it and eating lots of chocolates and cookies and Ice cream !! Lots of sugar intake !!

I cut back sugar when I conceived DS !
And I was crazy about sugar when I conceived DD !

But everything else is good ,
Only 4 weeks left for me, I should start being good LoL

Organic grapefruit isn't easy to get here, plus the juice is alot more than eating the fruit. Like a cup of grapefruit juice is 2-4 grapefruits and I don't really like grapefruit haha.

Why don't you try some keto recipes for your sweets? I know it isn't exactly the same but for 4 weeks, it will do. You can pretty much get any sweet recipe and substitute it with a keto, like cookies and ice cream. Plus, if you do it this way, you'd be getting alot more nutrients, which are boy friendly. What kind of cookies do you like?

Hey ladies, I drank a cup of grapefruit juice every day before conceiving DD to help make more EWCM because of the clomid I was on. It definitely helped but I've noticed now since not being on clomid and changing my diet to HE, I'm getting lots more EWCM. I'm starting to think I will wait another couple of months before TTC my boy. Atomic suggests longer between babies to get a boy so your fertility has completely returned. I don't know I'm in two mindsets really. Also what is keto?

cosmosis

Keto: The ketogenic diet (often termed keto) is a very low-carb, high-fat diet that shares many similarities with the Atkins and low-carb diets. It involves drastically reducing carbohydrate intake, and replacing it with fat. The reduction in carbs puts your body into a metabolic state called ketosis.

I'm not suggesting anyone here to get on a keto diet, I was just suggesting to business woman that keto desserts may take care of her sweet tooth and make her feel better about her sway because keto desserts are high in fat and nutrients and low in sugar :)

I produce very little cm because I've had some hormonal imbalances this year due to dieting, high stress and insomnia. I'm doing much better now, but my ewcm has not returned :( Last year, I used to produce tons. I tried Robitussin last cycle and it didn't help very much, so I'm hoping grapefruit juice helps. How long did you take it for dancingdiva?

I took one to two glasses every day from when AF ended through to O. I took it the cycle I started clomid and conceived DD on Clomid cycle 3 but I had a three month break from clomid and the grapefruit juice between clomid cycle 2 and 3. Needed a break as clomid gave me extreme anxiety (I am not an anxious person at all - I'm a dance and drama teacher so I'm always on stage and performing for people and my students). Two cycles of the stuff back to back made me so paranoid and anxious about everything - large spaces, crowds, too many aisles at the shopping centre hahahaha

Oh dear! I can relate to that. Too much thyroid hormone makes me feel like that!

So how soon did you see results with the grapefruit juice? Did you see more ewcm the same cycle you took it?

Nusaybah thanks!!
I should google that out and see what I find !
Dancinglove ,
How old is your DD?
Don't rush , I think it's better if you waited and it's better for the sway as well to be in diet longer !

I'm feeling very impatient today. I've waited for many years to TTC again and I'm finally gonna get a chance. The cycle is going too slow loooool. *sigh*

@cosmo - I definitely saw results the same cycle I started drinking the grapefruit juice. But I was making sure I had 1-2,glasses every day from AF to O, never missed a day.

@business - yeah I think I'm going to wait till maybe March next year possibly later.
