View Full Version : ttc thread - swaying again in 2017 :)

the vast majority of sways on here both blue and pink were done with no or very little effort made by dh, most blokes dont want to be involved in swaying beyond the bd part!
my dh and i have conceived 4 boys and 3 girls, gender pattern B G B B B G G (current babys gender is still not known) and he hasnt made any big lifestyle changes over that time, his diet and exercise dont really vary, hes never taken supplements and he certainly didnt sway!! but i can see more clear differences in my lifestyle with the boys vs the girls.
im not sure about the sperm count thing! is that something that you are worried about for your sway? if hubby has low sperm count and you havnt mentioned it to Atomic already then do! she will no doubt have advice for you that may be different from the norm for blue :)
i would assume that the XX and XY would reduce in equal numbers and all i can think is that less sperm = more girls which is proving to be true on here given that 1 bd attempt is boasting a 70-75% success rate for pink! while 3 is best for blue!
all my boys came from multiple bd attempts, i didnt count but 3 in fertile window sounds about right to me! where as all my girls (2 non-sway and 1 sway) were from 1 attempt. xx

Wow that's very interestingredients and great to know! I don't know if he has low count, I would hope not being so young. I was just meaning that by smoking and drinking in sure he's lowering his count and that worries me a bit, but It makes me very happy that the majority of the time the dw making changes is all that is necessary. When do you find out your babies gender? Did you sway for a boy too?
4blue2pink
June 10th, 2017, 08:58 AM
most sways on here are all dw with dh just doing his bit in the bedroom haha
im not sure what we are doing about the gender! im tempted to go team green :) no i swayed pink again this time xx
TtcBlue18
June 11th, 2017, 01:31 PM
Oh okay I feel silly for asking because I just read your signature again and thought oh yeah, duh! Lol. I hope you get another baby girl!! I would never be able to go team green lol, I don't think I'd be able to handle the anticipation! With you having both genders already, maybe that would be a nice surprise though :)
4blue2pink
June 12th, 2017, 07:27 AM
i didnt find out with my youngest until 37 weeks, ive always found out the gender but would like to experience the surprise just to say ive done it both ways really :)
how is everything going with your sway? xx

June 12th, 2017, 09:31 AM
Oh still going good :) dh promised to take a break from drinking until after we get our attempts in this cycle (even though it's only been 1 day, better than nothing!), so I'm happy about that. Faint line this morning so I think O is coming maybe tomorrow or Wednesday. I'm so excited!
I think that would be a neat experience for someone. How far are you into your pregnancy?
4blue2pink
June 13th, 2017, 02:56 PM
thats fantastic news about dh not drinking :D ahhh so exciting!! my fingers are crossed for you to get your bfp soon!! you have such a good blue sway
im 12 weeks this week :) not sure if i will do team green i just think it would be nice to experience the surprise so im weighing up the options xx

Right, I totally get it, so happy for you! If you decide to find out gender please let me know :)
I just got my positive opk yesterday evening and did some bd, and then dtd again a little bit ago, so now I guess all there is to do is wait and

Yayyy, can't wait to hear what you're having! Thank you :) I'm only 3dpo and hoping I don't get bfp because I've already convinced myself that my sway was not good enough, even though I felt great about it all the way up until after o day lol.
4blue2pink
June 16th, 2017, 04:37 AM
i was the same as soon as the attempt(s) are over you start doubting! your sway was/is good :D huge huge changes from when you got your girls! honestly you could spend a year or more ttc on HE/LE diet the whole time etc and still feel like maybe more time was needed or a stricter sway or more things added when you get bfp!
unfortunately when you sway and actively work and change things it brings with it these doubts that maybe next month would have been stronger than this month etc.. but you did a good solid sway for the recommended time frame, your in a great place!! and if bfn youll be in an equally solid place next month, just keep doing what your doing :) xx

June 16th, 2017, 08:48 AM
Thanks 4b2p! That makes me feel so much better to know so many others feel the same way. I was actually only swaying for 5 weeks though, which is another reason I worry about it. I was aiming for 6 but then my cycles changed once I started swaying. With therm being shorter these last 2 months in a row, it left me on the diet for only 5 weeks.
4blue2pink
June 17th, 2017, 06:22 AM
cycles changing is a good sign! means your body was responding to the changes you made :) some swayers find af starts arriving at a different time of day too, i didnt have that with my first sway but i did this time.
how many weeks are recommended for HE diet? its 12 weeks for LE but i know its less for you guys swaying blue, if 6 is the recommended time i really wouldnt stress over 1 week, 5 weeks on LE diet wouldnt really be enough as youd be 7 weeks short! but 1 week isnt anything to stress over, what you did in those 5 weeks is exactly what has been found to really work for blue *snack*snack*snack* :D xx
TtcBlue18
June 17th, 2017, 01:02 PM
Yes recommended is 6 weeks (minimum and maximum atomic says, because it's the sudden positive changes that count) so I started he diet day of af, the cycle before ttc. My cycles were 28 days so I figured af-af would be 4 weeks and then 2 weeks to O would make 6. But after starting my cycles immediately cut down to 25 days, leaving me 6 days short when O came, and I made the decision to go for it anyway because as you said, I figured that was a good sign that the diet was working. But now I look at my sway and realize not only did it cut diet a week short, but exercise and supplements too and now I start to worry lol.
4blue2pink
June 17th, 2017, 01:42 PM
i didnt realise it was 6 weeks min AND max for you guys, does that mean after 6 weeks if no bfp atomic has you take a small break before you do another 6 week HE cycle?
i wouldnt stress too much :) if its the sudden short term changes that count then you nailed that!! xx
TtcBlue18
June 19th, 2017, 12:40 AM
Oh no I think she just meant she would like to see us begin ttc right at the 6 week mark, because he diet doesn't require as much time as le diet (since increasing fertility can happen rather quickly). She said being on the he diet for too long before ttc you might gain too much weight. But I wouldn't imagine one would have to take a break unless they gain too much weight and other suggestions aren't helping slow the weight gain.
4blue2pink
June 20th, 2017, 09:20 AM
that makes sense :) i wasnt sure if you guys had to cycle it which would be rather complicated!! how many dpo are you now? xx

Hi ladies, can I join? We are hoping to ttc in August. Have 3 little boys so hoping for pink this final time! I swayed here in 2015 for a girl but we got our gorgeous DS3 who we adore so I won't be overly disappointed if we have a 4th boy but I'd like to up my odds of a girl this last time. I'm attempting the LE pcos diet, not really succeeding and thinking it might be doing more harm than good with me fixating on what I'm "not supposed" to eat etc. Anyone have any tips for me?
I'm also doing the cardio now, 3 weeks of it so far. 60-70mins x4 times the first two weeks but will fit in x5 this week!
Filled my rx for Clomid today also. Bit nervous about taking it but it seems to really help sway pink so I'll just go with it!
Anyone else swaying at the moment? Or is there a diet thread to help keep on track? I've got the will power of a pigeon and keep exceeding fat intake! Today is possibly the closest I've gotten to keeping under my max totals but that's cause I've only eaten twice!! I must eat again now as I have a fast metabolism and with the cardio I know I will lose weight fast if I don't keep the cal intake up!!

I'm sorry, I just saw this. I'm 8dpo and I took a clear blue hpt today randomly at like 2:30 pm, without holding and I think I actually saw a faint line. All the ladies on the 2ww thread say they could see it too. So today I picked up first response since they're supposed to be much more sensitive and I'm going to take one in the morning at 9dpo. Here's a pic of today's, I put it in negative so the"faint" line is more visible.. What do you think? Faint line or is it maybe the lighting or something? 36709

Hi hopper! I'm swaying blue and currently in my 2ww, feeling strongly I might have caught the egg first try! I should know within the next few days. I don't know much about swaying pink, but I can tell you when I got my 2 Girls I never ate breakfast, rarely ate lunch and for dinner it was usually fast food. I would snack on candy, chocolate and sweets all day and otherwise I lived on coffee. I do believe coffee is one of the most important swaying factors for a girl, just because of my own lifestyle and the other women who notice the connection between their coffee drinking and DD's.. I think clomid would be a great one too! I see lots of women talking about it as if it's a magic bullet so it must be important! I'm sorry I can't say much more as I'm really not to familiar with pink swaying. I'm about to go to bed right now, but I will check in tomorrow. Goodnight (or morning, whichever it is for you lol).

hi hopper :)
there are diet threads going for LE i think one of them is meal ideas too! ive never done the LE pcos diet and im not familiar with the differences between the LE and LE pcos diets so id advise you to to start a thread on it and that way atomic will see it and then she can advise you :) i will try to find the diet/meal thread and post a link for you.
clomid is good! so many pink swayers are using it and the results are amazing, good luck with your sway keep us updated with how you get on :) xx

YES i definitely see something!! :bluecheer: dont see how it could be anything but a faint line, did you get early bfp's with your girls? ive had soo many false negative tests with my babies its ridiculous it takes forever for my tests to turn positive!! aahhh im so excited for you :bluecheer: let me know how tomorrow's test goes, i have everything crossed for you!! xx

No I never tested with my girls until I missed af.. The one I took this morning is negative, at 9dpo. But I'm supposed to have af on the 26th (miscalculated before) so I don't have too long to wait.. My cycles are down to 25 days. I typed in all my info on an implantation doubling simulator and it has me landing on Saturday for my first positive, everything before Saturday is says there won't be enough to test. So I'm still hopeful. :)

i like the spirit you have. your story and determination can be an inspirational::crawl: to many mothers out there who want to get a good balance on baby gender. i have been trying this methods lately as i already have two boys in a row. maybe your tips will prove helpful going forward. the LE diet is easy to cope by as my wife is rather strict. however, the content of alcohol may be tricky, i hope changing coffee for the alcohol will still work with the plan.:kissy:
please keep bringing some good tips to swayers on this site.:hug2:

hi chris :) both coffee and alcohol are good for pink! no need to stop drinking your coffee, Atomic recommends 3-4 cups of coffee per day and 1-2 alcoholic drinks per day for pink swayers :) along with LE diet and 1 attempt per month, good luck to you and your wife with your sway.

Hi 4blue3pink,
Did you fall pregnant first attempt after getting af back? Ive finally had my af arrive but not sure if i should wait my attempt out as im still breastfeesing or not.

hi pink :) no i didnt i got af back about 11 weeks (give or take i cant remember exactly) after my youngest was born (not breastfeeding) and got bfp when she was 5 months old, we did prevent for 12 weeks so i could get enough time on LE diet (which i started when she was only 11 weeks old) then after that i got bfp on second cycle of ttc.
the only time ive ever fallen pregnant on the first cycle after delivery was after my mid pregnancy loss, i got bfp 5 weeks later, all my full term babies its been between 4-8 months after birth till next bfp, with first af usually showing up between 9-12 weeks after delivery.

Hi All,
I am so confused by all of this swaying research! Everything I read seems to contradict the other, etc.
I have been skipping breakfast and eating less calories but I am nearly a week in and already feeling dizzy and have headaches :(
I have two boys and this will be our last pregnancy so would like a girl.
Any advise ladies please?? Thanks in advance :)

Hi and Welcome!
Can you tell us more about what you find confusing?
The diet shouldn’t be causing this to happen. You can have 3 meals a day. Make sure to be getting 1500-1800 calories, 40-50g protein, and 35-50g fat. Most people track this by pen and paper or using an app called myfitnesspal. Remember to NOT count veggies for calories or protein or fat in fruit and veggies. Only count calories from fruit.
Let us know how else we can help!

You can totally have 3 meals a day instead of 2! If you do, then delay when you eat your first meal. I tried to have a 13-16 hour overnight fast from my last meal to my first one. That worked out to be usually 9:30-11:00am each day. Eat what you want sticking to the limits! I had a bagel thin with cream cheese, eggs with toast, yogurt with fruit and a sprinkle of sliced almonds or a fruit smoothie.
I am no longer swaying, since I had my baby girl. We are done- 4 kids is plenty for us! I was strict with the limits and only had 3 cheat days a month. Usually the first couple of days of AF or whenever I needed one.
🤞🏻you get your BFP soon!

Hello,
Welcome :) you need to make sure you are not starving yourself the pink diet is not about that, my tip is find the dishes you love the most then substitute them with a vegan style for example: Lasange instead of beef i use spinach and eggplant and a few other alternatives. A great vegan website is: forksoverknives they even have an app its brillant, also i follow that vegan couple on youtube they are aussie but travelling and have great receipes. Ive found excluding as much meat as possible helped me get my daughter but that did not mean i didnt have cheat days, on cheat days once a week i would do salmon with skin on ir a steak, i ate alot of cold potatoes pre cooked and would jazz them up with different toppings, mini pocket bread style pizzas and loads of hummus.the link to my sway is at the bottom of my message if it helps, wishing you lots of pink dust iam trying to sway again for my final bub and fingers crossed another girl
