12 dpo today and just got my fourth BFN in a row....

I've traditionally tried to avoid Christmas babies and always skipped ttc this time of year .... However after multiple losses a healthy December baby would be a perfect gift so I'm throwing caution to the wind...lol

Hey ladies! I know chances are probably low with pregnancy this month but I want to jump in :) I have 4 boys ages 7, 5, 3, and 2. I really want a 5th, a girl would be awesome but of course I know I would love another boy. Anyway DH says he is done, he says he doesn't want 5 BUT he sure does bring up babies a lot. Pretty much everyday he jokes how I want another baby, makes some kind of comment about a 5th, or shows me an adorable baby picture from one of his friends. I haven't come right out and said I want another, but it is really obvious that I do. He has said if we could 100% know it would be a girl he would. Anyway, I started the LE diet back in January. My plan was to be on it for 3 months, then talk to DH about wanting another one. My period just ended yesterday and we DTD last night. DH did not pull out in time and I really think he secretly wants to get me pregnant, even though he said oh that wasn't supposed to happen (he made zero effort to not let it happen). I just know my DH too well. Anyway, I know due to timing our chances are probably slim, I have a pretty normal 28-29 day cycle. But I am little freaked because I wanted to be on the diet longer before we had an "opps" moment.
Sorry for the long ramble!! Now the long long wait to see if we are that small % where it happens this early in my cycle. If it doesn't then I will for sure hope for another slip up in May at the right time :)

Hi Pbn3! After having 2 babies, my cycle length has been approx 25-26 days. According to my calendar, I'm expected to O 2/24, but I always feel super sharp pain on one side during that time...painful, but helpful! What about you? I have not been taking tests this time, just BD every night this week! The 1st challenge is to get a BFP, then will be to see if the girl sway worked!
acaason27-I'm a newbie here too & sooo want a girl! I'm not 100%, but from what I've read, it's best to start the diet 9 weeks in advance right...so you're off to a good start & ya never know...just might get your BFP-girl!

My diet is slipping for sure. I way over ate yesterday and had red meat twice in three days. I'm missing the things I've cut out a lot and I'm getting irritable about it. I'm just kind of emotionally done with this but not willing to TTC without it. :/

I know what you mean. I've been on LE since last July. I see myself slipping however I also see myself not getting pregnant so I've had to let go of some things on the diet. I have extremely low iron so I had to add meat in moderation bavk. I even never stopped eating sweets at night as a third meal bc I don't want to or care. I can't do alot of carbs anymore bc my body gains weight when I eat not lose!
To be honest I am over the whole thing. I've basically dropped everything now except 3 meals a day no breakfast.
I am not doung 1 attempt bc I can't get pregnant like that. This month we are swaying to get pregnant.
If this month doesn't work.. I think I'll take a few months out and maybe do iui in summer.

Robin, I started in June so I totally get that. This is cycle 6 of TTC, but we missed having a decent attempt a couple times. I'm still young and have always conceived in the first few cycles so I hope to keep going for a while but this is so far from my normal (very boy friendly) lifestyle. With the complications I've had combined with finances this really needs to be our last baby so I feel like there's a lot of pressure because this is our last chance at a take home baby girl.

AF just recently returned in Dec now that I'm only nursing at night, so recently TTC again. Didn't work last month, but hoping this is the month. Like someone mentioned before...avoiding a December baby lol...too close to the holidays. I know what you mean about pressure-this will be our last as well boy or girl! Adding to the pressure...get this...my husband & I have had a name we love picked out for our future DD since before we were married. HUGS...I fully understand what you mean. I had a burger this weekend at a birthday party. But there is nothing I can do about it now, so I will just do my best to stick to the diet today and worry about tomorrow when the time comes.

I have always gone early, and probably could never go late, so if we decide to skip a month to avoid a Christmas baby it wouldn't be until April. I don't think we will though (we have in the past). I'd rather have a holiday girl than take a month off and let my sway slip, which I know I would.

I agree with not depleting DH stocks! After several failed attempt months I have discovered that he is "releasing" on his own everyday so not leaving much for me! I have put him on a strict E3d "self release" plan now. That helped get our BFP last year (finally). Now that we are back TTC again I have had to get strict with him again. Honestly - he thinks he is hard done by! I have been on the LE diet for over a year now. I am the one who is making all the hard changes. I think he can give it up for a few nights a week. I finally got a +opk today (cd19) & even though Im not well at the moment I dont want to miss a month. Wish me luck & send me your pink dust!

Thanks for the advice! I realized that I'm going about this all wrong! I was going with the idea that since the boys swim faster, but don't last as long, the boy ammo would hopefully be gone by O, leaving some pink ammo. So that doesn't work? Definitely rethinking this & going to go buy an OPK today. This is my 2nd month ttc, but first time swaying. Slightly discouraged (& I know I shouldn't be) b/c I got pregnant immediately with both DS. Desperately want a DD this time! I have been on the LE diet since last June & staying away from foods that I think are boy friendly. I was taking vitex, but stopped b/c I read that it could make ttc difficult. Maybe these will help: Sick with a cold, small dose of Zoloft for anxiety (wasn't on it for either DS), using sylk (DH doesn't like it)....so we shall see. FX for pink...fx for pink for all of you as well kc foxtrot shann! Are you swaying pbn?

Lola - I would stop using the Sylk if DH does not like it. No point in making it more difficult. For you, I would suggest going with E4D or the +OPK attempts as well. Yes, as fox has mentioned, Shettles has been disproven.

One attempt in the fertile window is definitely getting the best results for pink. That's probably why things like a cutoff seem to sway, because with a cutoff you'll only get one attempt. Of course with a cut off it takes longer to conceive.

@lola no I'm not swaying anymore but I have become a vegetarian now and have been for probably 6 weeks now. I was on le diet for 6 months in 2015 then on/off it again during 2016. I am taking clomid (prescribed) so I'm hoping these 'pink' things will help sway but I'm ok either way, just want my sticky bfp :)

I feel I might o on cd13 which is awesome for fitting in with hubbys night shifts coming up. Cant wait to do my opk today!!! Really hope its near positive so I get a pos opk on Friday..... I've been feeling ovary twinges and my bbs were sore this morning so fx!! Will update after todays opk :)

So my opk is same as yesterday :( so no early o for me boo!!!!!

Hoping for some advice ladies. I'll attach a pic of my chart so you know where I'm at. I'm guessing I'll o cd14 as per usual. Today is Thursday where I am and we dtd last night. I was going to do e2d with an additional attempt at pos opk but dh starts night shift Friday night and doesn't finish till Monday morning. So my dilemma is this, we could get an attempt in tomorrow during the day probably between 12-2pm but if I get a pos opk on Saturday the only opportunity we'll have to dtd is early Saturday morning like 8am'ish (I've already arranged to drop my boys off at a friends for an early play date). Hubby would be coming off a 14 hour'ish night shift so not even sure he'll be up to dtd - bear in mind he's 45 lol. So the way I see it I could have an attempt Friday daytime and skip possibly skip Saturday morning, or attempt to do both but worried his sperm will be too depleted right when it counts OR hold off till Saturday morning and hope he'll manage.... I've never fallen pregnant from anything but at least an o-1 attempt and worry the Friday attempt will be too early :(

Yeah that's what I'm leaning towards cosmo. Going to see if I can change the play date time to 10am so he can get hopefully a 2 hour sleep before I wake him to dtd. My friend is going out at lunch so the afternoon is out unfortunately :( feeling some decent twinges so I was surprised my opk wasn't darker but maybe my body is working on a 10/10 egg 😂 sure hope so!

well we BD last night even though I'm not well. There was no way I was going to waste this month. Such a lousy time to have gastro :( Poor hubby had to do all the work. The only upside out of this is that we had 1 attempt, I was unwell, & it was after my first period after a m/c. My best friend also has a theory that bad sex always leads to pregnancy :rofl: here's hoping she's right!

I have an O question today. I mean, I'm totally familiar with my cycle (6 babies + many cps) but this one I'm not sure what to do with. I only slept 3.5 hours last night before I had to wake up 30 min early and temp (which I have done for the last 3 days as hubby is a shift worker). I think if I put in 1 or 2 higher temps ff is going to give me cross hairs, but I didn't O yesterday. I am almost certain it will be today, it could have been in the middle of the night but O is pretty painful for me usually so I don't think so.

I do have all my bases covered with bd in any case, but I dont want to bd anyMORE if I dont have to. Not that I mind but its been hard on DH, his shift work switching to days is always tough and hes so tired, its been hard to get him to bd at all! I'd like to give the poor guy a break. I know a lot of pink ttc ladies do bd e3d but that's just not for me, I'm 40 now and while I do want pink, I also don't want to waste time (and we did daily and got girls for our losses anyway).

I'll post my chart, if any of you can look and tell me what you think please. I think maybe I may have O last night possibly, I did have a lot of pain but it wasn't quick and sharp as usual, it was long, painful and ongoing for a few hours, which did happen last time I conceived in retrospect, but I was on femara at the time and it was the most painful O ever!

A bit about me if you don't know me, I have 3 boys and a tom boy ages 8 to 20! Had 2 losses in 2nd trimester in the last 12 months, both precious, perfect baby girls. One was lost to ecoli/food poisoning and the other I had a SCH that tore at 15w just last month. My drs have all said to hurry up and try again, so I took off last month since I got an infection from the d&c and we are back to trying AGAIN. I can't get hopes up, I get pregnant easy but after these losses ...well its devastating. I get pregnant fast and easy generally tho so at least I don't struggle there.

So a crazy thing happened to me this morning. As I was getting up from the couch to leave for work, I have a huge ripping type pain in my abdomen. It hurt enough for me to commeny and sit back down. Poor DS2 was right next to me and was worried for a bit. After a few seconds it was gone. What in the heck was that? Was I just Oing now? Who knows, but was very strange and thought I would share.

And I really have a HUGE POAS obsession! I want to start testing already. Just for the fun of POAS. I honestly am not thrilled with getting a BFP this month as my diet was not as I would have liked and my DD would be days after DS2's birthday. But we shall see what happens.

I've been following you in your other threads and its lovely to see you here in the 2ww one :) as xxforhubby said we need more temps to confirm o however its looking pretty good for cd12 at this stage however that could change...... in any case take a break from dtd. Your well covered if you have oed and if not then resume dtd in a day or so. A fourth bd in a row won't pack much punch swimmer wise in any case. Fx for you so hard that you get your super sticky bfp!!

Momamia thank you and I agree about waiting till Saturday. It will be a mid morning bd so hopefully the timing will be perfect. Pbn, I have my appt tomorrow morning (13 hours from now) for ultrasound and bloodwork. I'm really hoping my cyst went away and my lining is thin enough. Those are the reasons the other RE wanted me to go back on bcp. FX my body is cooperating! I have a 101°f fever, a super congested head, and nausea. I'm really oversensitive and feel just horrible. I'm hoping it'll go away quickly. I hate being sick!

I'm totally freaking out that they're going to make me wait another cycle. :( Also, I was just reading some other message boards and I think the reason we're having such a hard time ttc is because dh has varicoceles. They're basically varicose veins in his scrotum any reduce the amount of blood going to the testicles which decreases his sperm count. They initially told us that they wouldn't cause any problems but that's a huge difference between ttc now and ttc before I had my tubes tied. I'm really glad we're doing the iui. I think it will really help! :)

My appointment went great! Everything looks great and I'm starting the meds tonight! I go back in 4 days for follow-up blood work. Then they'll adjust my meds as needed based on the results. I'm so excited to finally be getting somewhere!! I feel so much better about this office than the last one. They're starting me at a dose that is half the dose the other RE wanted to start me at. I feel way more comfortable and confident that this cycle will be a success!! :)

Had my cd10 apt today with my RE. I have two follicles growing nicely. One on right and left. This was my first clomid cycle so I hope to ovulate soon. Dr said to come back on Sunday to see what size they are then and if both are growing or just one. Apperently they would have cancelled my cycle if I had 3 follicles due to chance of triplets? Thankfully not the case for me this cycle.
We are thinking cd14 will be o day praying it's not as late as the last few cycles (day 18-19)... I guess we will see! Hope to get trigger shot next week 😁

Woohoo Pbn3! That looks like a positive to me! If I recall correctly, the brand you are using do not give as dark of a positive as Wondfo, for example. I think you are in a great shot for this cycle! Also, remember about CP that it can take a few days after O for things to shift. That through me off during my BFP cycle. I never would have thought an O-3 attempt would result in a BFP for me in a million years, haha! My O date was confirmed at my dating scan.

No MS,just fatigue lol. I started spotting last night so I put myself on bedrest today. It isn't getting worse so that's a good thing. My cervix feels very sore and I get cramps on and off. The next few days will tell what's going on I hope.

We BD'd twice the day before yesterday so I dunno if semen softened up my cervix to the point of spotting. It looks like the start of a period where the discharge is a brownish red, but not old blood or bright red blood, although this morning it was bright red. I haven't actually stained a liner, I've gotten it all from internal checks.

First its the loooong waiting game and now the early pregnancy worries. I didn't have this with DD so I have no idea what I'm looking at here.

I wont test until 12dpo if AF stays away that long. So around 7th march at this stage. I always get confused whether we should count the day of ovulation as 1dpo or the day after. What do you ladies do? I tend to count from the day after.

I know people get opposites on full/new moon but my boys were both conceived on near full moons so I still hang onto the hope I'll conceive in a new moon which for me is tomorrow so I'm thrilled about oing today. Also I check the chinese gender calendar just for fun as it was wrong for ds2 but still cant help but feel excited when it says girl (today was last day of girl before changing to boy for me). So if I get a bfp this cycle I'll be over the moon 😀

Have you checked with atomic what bd pattern she recommends with dh lower spern count? You may be better with an e3d plan then decide whether to add an attempt at pos opk if its not the 3rd day.....

I have found that you can better see a faint line but putting one OPK at above it and a blank one under it. :) 9dpo is still early to see it and capture on camera. Looking forward to tomorrow's test!

Wondfo/Easy@home are most economical for those who like to POAS alot. I'd get at least a 20 pack of that. Clear blue digital with weeks indicator are the ones you are asking about.

Those are good to confirm and check progress if you are not getting beta's done right away, but in my opinion they are very overpriced and are not as satisfying as seeing lines getting darker, although others may argue that one lol.

Hey maxim! I usually get the wondfos (25 ct) which I think are pretty sensitive. I also get the first response early response (3 pack) and then the Clear Blue with weeks estimator ☺ I got both the wondfos and first response on amazon prime. I had to go to the drug store for the clear blue week estimator. Happy peeing [emoji6]

So I go back in for blood work in 4 days. Based on the results, they'll raise or lower my dose. I'm half expecting to have to do my trigger shot around cd10, as I've been ovulating around cd12 on my own. Cd10 is Friday, Mar 3rd. I go back in 24-36 hours after trigger for iui. I need to get some more specifics from them tomorrow. I got caught up in the excitement and forgot to ask a bunch of questions, lol!

On Clearblue Easy's website, the only 2 tests listed are the digital with smart countdown and the traditional +/- one. Bogus! I would have all of you ladies hit up your local grocery stores tomorrow morning to see if any are in stock. This is bogus!

I'm back into RE apt this morning. I have two eggs sized 16 and 12 (almost mature). Not certain that the second egg will catch up but I'm on day 13 today and have my high reading on CBD advanced. I'll put money on ovulation tomorrow or the next. Hoping today the egg has grown and I can get trigger.. but they will prob want them to be a bit bigger before they will give it. Last month ovulation happened when egg was sized 19.
We've made the decision that we will try again next month if this month is not successful. If I don't take progesterone this cycle (dr said i don't need it) I'd have a dec 14th (ish) baby according to due date calculator. We are ok with that.
As for iui and up... we are thinking late spring early summer. I just pray this is my month bc I can't handle another chemical. 😐

Gonal-f is an injectable med. It is fsh (follicle stimulating hormone) which is what your brain produces to grow follicles in your ovaries. It is used to make better quality, bigger and more more eggs than normal. The advantage is it doesn't have the side effects that clomid has, since it's the same hormone your brain makes. The downside is that it is expensive.

I just went to Walgreens before work and there are no more of the CB weeks estimator tests! They had them a few weeks ago...knew I should have bought them, but I didn't want to jinx it since I wasn't sure if hubby would be onboard for trying this cycle.

My moon phase and sign were boy and my chinese calender was boy too. That crap has never worked for me..apparently my body naturally 'sways' pink so hard that it defies things that normally predict pretty well for others....

It's related to a Swedish lawsuit from 2014 that just got finalized. Once they fix the label, they will be back on the market.

Sorry Robin! I didn't respond to clomid very well either. I think I had 2 eggs the cycle I did 150, otherwise I only had 1. So, I didn't see the advantage of continuing the clomid. Luckily, you only need 1 egg though, so FX it's your golden egg, Robin!! I'm doing iui. It's the only infertility treatment that my insurance actually covers, so I'm taking full advantage of it. It covers about 4 iui's per year. I'm really hoping that it only takes 1 though. :bigsmile:

Thanks Robin!! I'm just hoping it actually works. I just got off the phone with my RE's office and I am feeling even more confident than I was before. They're going to do 2 trigger shots about a week apart to boost my progesterone and give me progesterone supplements. They also offered to do back to back iui's if I wanted. I think I'll do that next time if it doesn't work this time. They also said they're going to do their best to get a mature follicle on my left ovary, as I'm pretty sure that's the only tube that's open. Yay!!!!! I love this office and my RE! 😁😁😁😁😁😁

AFM - I have not been too hopeful about this month as I am still regulating after getting AF back. I was not planning to test because I have zero symptoms and ws just not thinking it would work. Then yesterday, my temp plumited and I was thinking I was going to have another 7 day LP. But then today my temp spiked and I am so temped to test tomorrow. I will be 8dpo. And I know that is early, but I still want to test. I guess I will see what my temp does tomorrow. I am SOOO happy my tests are at work. It has kept me from testing already. :)

I had a huge dip at 11dpo and then the next day I spiked over a full degree and got my very faint BFP that day (12DPO). Your totally still in this girl!! FX

My Dr instructed me to take trigger shot this morning after yesterday's apt revealed one egg right side at 17mm. I am assuming today is 18 +. I took a CBD today and it's still a high so I don't think my body is ready for ovulation just yet on its own?
I am still taking shot this morning so ovulation will be 36 hrs out.
I was also told that my clinic likes to keep people on 3 months of the same percription of clomid regardless if it works the first time. Meaning that I'd have to be on 50mg clomid even though it didn't work this cycle. I am not comfortable with this at all. I ONLY wanted to take clomid for 3 months TOTAL due to what I've read about side effects. Just annoying that they won't bump up prescription at least. Looks like I might have to get onto injectables? No idea on costs yet. Our insurance doesn't cover unfortunately.

Robin, I haven't taken clomid / injectibles before, so not sure I'm fully understand, but there is still a chance for this cycle once you O, right?? What are the side effects of clomid?

Quick question for you ladies, we BD in AM about 24 before I O'd this cycle. Curious if boy/girl sperm live the same amount of time? I thought that boy sperm died faster, so wondering if there would be a lot of them lingering after 24 hours? I know timing has been debunked, but wasn't sure about that...?

Yes there is still a chance. Clomid just didn't produce two eggs for me. My body does the same thing without clomid essentially. I am thinking I would need a higher dose of clomid or injectables to get more eggs. I know it ONLY TAKES one egg but I'd like better odds at this point. We've been taking ivf instead of iui in July if this doesn't work. So much money so let's hope it doesn't come to that!.
I am about to take my trigger shot!

Maxim I don't know about timing etc. I plan on DTD tonight , tomorrow and next night as per my Dr recommendation. I'm totally in boy territory!
