Thanks dancing! OB wants me to try it, but he wasn't specific about this particular cycle or after this coming cycle (after the saline sono). I go in for bloodwork on Monday, so will ask. Honestly, I was leaning towards waiting, but think I'll go ahead and ask for it.

If your lining is thin, Femara would be a much better choice and sways pink too! You might want to ask about other options besides Clomid at your appointment.

This is what I *think is going on with me. Whilst my cycle length is 28-32 days the last few cycles ive had O pain throughout rather than just at O and my CM last cycle was all over the shop.

I also have EWCM and af just left the building has anyone else had this?

Yes. The only difference is it doesn't thin the lining and extremely low risk of multiples.

Just read about it xx...it sounds to me (through my 10 mins of research lol) that they first rx clomid, then femara. Do you think he can go straight to femara? I'll certainly be asking for this on Monday. Thanks for reminding me!!

I wouldn't go in asking for it- that can sometimes turn off a doctor. I would ask them regarding medicated cycles, what your options are. Then that will open the discussion up for you to then ask questions.

Grrrr! Keep trying to upload a photo of my very clear bfp this morning and it won't upload.
Funny thing was I took the test (12dpo) didn't even bother to check it put it on the window sill still half asleep and went back to bed. After about 3 minutes, I was like "it'll be negative but I'll just check it" - and right there (not even a squinter) plain as anything a second line :)

Boy sway - I'm hoping it's worked. I have changed everything from when I conceived DD. HE diet and always ate breakfast (never did before DD), snacked constantly (never did before DD), ate nuts, two eggs a day, coconut water, V8 juice, lemon water, pretty much everything. I tried to be a bit lazier with my job (I'm a dance teacher so that swayed heavily girl - tried to use verbal instruction more rather than physical), put on 2-2.5kgs as I've always been tall and thin, didn't use clomid like with DD as I have PCOS (which sways blue!), used pressed, hadmultiple attempts in window, on a lot more vitamins and supps then just a prenatal when I conceived DD. So yeah.... Fingers crossed :)

Iwant4kids I'm not sure I posted about your awesome news and if not a belated 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 woohoo is in order!!

I'm posting to tell you all about a horrible dream I had last night. Woke up feeling sick to my stomach and decided to Google about it tonight because it was bothering me so much!!

I dreamt a friends son died. He fell into the water (heaps of massive rocks around), they were on a school excursion or something and when someone asked where *insert boys name here* was the other kids said he fell through there *indicating water* I jumped straight in and the water was so cold I couldn't hold my breathe but could see him floating in the water (obviously deceased) about 20 metres away. I knew I couldn't swim to him, I could barely move enough to get back to air and I knew my own son had just watched me jump in. It was so so horrible and has bugged me all day BUT after reading through a whole crap load of dream interpretations it makes so much darn sense!!!! Just wish my mind didn't have to be so graphic and awful in conveying how it feels which is the following pic that I thought vest described it. So yes I do believe my mind has accepted this baby number 3 dream is over and that I was coming to some kind of peace with my 3 angel babies (or pregnancies, but I don't care if people don't think early miscarriages or even chemicals count, they are all babies to me :( ) So here is the explanation I liked best :) I'm just sharing this in case anyone has an awful dream and thinks doom and gloom (like I did 😂)35809

hmmm, online dream reading isn't very reliable. Although I certainly believe there's meaning to some dreams (not all), I also believe that it takes a qualified person who isn't biased or trying to make a buck to interpret the dream because oftentimes we interpret dreams the way our ego wants to see them, most dreams are from the self.

Your dream could mean a number of things. Taking an adult approach to things doesn't necessarily mean giving up on a dream or convincing yourself you don't want it. Acceptance should never mean giving up, acceptance means to embrace what is and to stop resisting what is happening. For example, let's take an obese girl who has always struggled with her weight. At some point she will be told to just accept herself as she is and embrace her body (implying she should give it up). YES, she should accept herself and embrace her journey, but that does not means she gives up on losing weight. It means she accepts herself as she is today and moves forward with her goals, however long they may take, without resisting or battling. I hope that makes sense.

In your case (assuming the online meaning you found has some validity), I'd be inclined to think it means that if you still have a smidgen of want for another child, just do what people have done all throughout history. Have sex and enjoy it. If fruit comes from it, fine, if not, at least you enjoyed the connection to your spouse :) No temps, no meds, no opk's. That, to me is taking an adult approach. Not forcing an issue and just letting thins run their course naturally.

Pbn, so sorry about those dreams. I've had similar before and I know how disturbing they can be! I do like cosmos's take on it...

AF started late last evening. Extremely painful and strong this time, wondering if I had a chemical given the faint line on the IC? Anyway, going in for blood work on Monday to the OB and we'll see what happens this cycle. Spoke with DH about trying again this time and while he's not thrilled, he also didn't oppose.

I am glad that he is letting you seemingly make this choice maxim even if he is not entirely on board. DH was not entirely for a 4th baby either but there is no denying how much he loves her now. He thought because i needed clomid to have DD3 that it would take a long time (years) or never happen at all if he gave in and had unprotected sex whenever i wanted...and then i was pregnant LOL (thanks HE!!)

Ahhhh, hitting another obstacle today. Called to confirm my blood work for Monday and their office will be closed for a holiday. I leave for our april vacation with my girls on Tuesday and won't be back until the following Monday, which means that I also miss my day 3-10 window for my saline sonogram. Unbelievable... :hair:

I've hit A LOT of obstacles in trying these past months (first cycle was anovulatory, delayed O timing, husband travels a lot so when I actually do O, our cutoffs have been long, etc.). I'm starting to wonder if these are signs that it just wasn't meant to be!

Pbn3 - you have me sitting at my desk crying. Good thing I work all alone on Fridays. What a horrible dream. Even if it means something else, that is NOT nice. I hate those dreams. When I was pg with DS3, I would dream about 1-2 times a week about him dying in various ways (mostly drowning) as a toddler. ((HUGS)) I hope that the meaning you get out of it is what you were trying to work through. Dreams are weird sometimes, but our whole body is crazy in how it works.

My take on the dream is you realizing that the dream of another child has affected your relationship with your son and that you are ready to accept what life has given you and spend time with your children. It does not mean letting go of the dream, but not chasing it so hard that you forget about everyone else. Just my take on it! :)

I had a birthday party for my son this week and he invited his cousins ...and my sister sends them without a gift or even a Happy Birthday card! :worry:



This is completely rubbing me the wrong way. She would never send her kids to a stranger's house for a birthday party (or any kind of party) without some kind of gift but she thinks its acceptable behaviour for her nephew.

Not only is my sister his aunt, she's his freakin' Godmother! I want to say something but DH thinks I should let t go bc its family.

Maxim- I fell on the 3rd clomid cycle with DD, however the first two I took for PCOS but unknowingly had really bad endo. I had surgery to remove all my endo and took clomid the next cycle and fell - so technically it was the first round after my surgery.

MrsGoodies i have the exact same problem with my family.

I have always got things for their birthdays until last year when I had enough. They are in their late teens now anyway.

One of my elder boys kept asking when he was going to get his present and that it wasn't fair (i ended up having to ask in the end) because my other son got something for his birthday the week before his.

Even a card with $5 or some cheap toy would suffice. Ive told my kids not to expect anything however its frustrating when one received something for his birthday a week earlier.

I just hope my boys are paying attention and they know who is there for them and caring.

Ash I was thinking about your situation with hubbys insistence of bd as much as possible and refusal to budge from that. Can you try j&d immediately after every bd except for the one the night of pos opk. Then do the opposite and elevate hips for a good half hour before getting up. I know that there will still be swimmers that get 'up there' regardless of the j&d but this would definitely lessen how many do. Just a thought :)

Oh no Iwant4kids, I hope it's just a tiny bit and has stopped. Could you ask your doctor for some.progesterone pessaries - maybe you have low progesterone and your lining is trying to break down hence the bleeding on/off and spotting but your actual pregnancy is fine because of the doubling numbers.

Just got home!!! Yay!!!!
Think all is fine! Only really one lot of spotting!!! So strange! Enough to make me panic. Think it was from doing too much while away. We also went 4 wheel driving yesterday and I started worrying as we were driving as it was so bumpy. @boywish - it could be lighter for a variety of reasons. Your urine could be more diluted, did you use fmu?
Also that test could have a different dye going on with it.
Hcg doubles every 2 days (roughly) so the next day's wouldn't be more different to your first positive hpt the day before. I'd do another one tomorrow as if your hcg doubled it should definitely be darker than your first test.

Of months or else We would have stared ttc before. On the other hand the trip could be a good distraction and then you can start fresh next cycle. We all will always be here for u. Pbn recently told me to not worry about the things you can't control. I would say the same to u and try to have a good time on your trip and keep trying anyway if possible. U never know.

AFM: Hope you all had a great Easter! We have soooooooooo much chocolate in the house it's crazy! Camping was a great distraction! I drove for an hour on Saturday and got another blood test LOL. I got the results today and they were 862 (up from 397), so a good increase. My progesterone was 29.1 on Saturday, is this low? I have no idea about it, but I know some of you have mentioned that if it's low it could cause bleeding. It was Sunday morning when I had some dark brown spotting. It eased up straight away and got much lighter. Camping forced me to stop temping, so I feel good about that.
My GP wants me to get a scan, but I go back to work tomorrow, so I have no idea when I'll fit it in. Being a public holiday today, there was no where open today.

So you're cycle day 14? If so, they that could be ovulation spotting. When the egg is released you can get some spotting.

Also in relation to temping while still getting up to my younger one, I still did it, when I woke and used the BBT adjuster (just google). It's not as accurate, but it's better than nothing.

Good morning ladies!

Pbn, my OB said that I had to do the ultrasound between days 3-10 after AF arrives to check my uterine lining, make sure that there are no blocked tubes, etc. Today is CD5, we leave town tomorrow at 7am for a trip for my girls April vacation off of school. We don't come back until CD12, so I totally miss the window that they will do the sonogram. My OB said that after the sonogram, he would rx clomid/femara depending on how it looked. So since I can't be here, I miss out on both the sono and medication. Really sucks... I'll call the hospital in the town and see if they might be able to perform the sono for me, although I highly doubt that they will do it. So I guess we'll try this cycle and see what happens...

Curious if anyone has had one of these saline sono's and seen a blocked tube or something similar. Wondering if that might be preventing me from getting pregnant? My neighbor told me that she had a blocked tube, tried 3 failed cycles of clomid, and is now on her second cycle of IVF. Amazing that I didn't know....

Yaya sky! I started with wondfo today! Skipping the digi this time since there were both in sync with each other last cycle and I def. get in plenty of attempts!
My BD plan for this cycle is to get hubby to leave and lift two nights before O then I'll try to stay up late another night to avoid contact lol then on O day I will have one attempt this time instead of two day of O and two day before O! I'm planning on keeping O on the dl from him because that's like asking for a million attempts if I tell him.... but he still keeps track in his head somehow he can remember 14 days from start of af! But if that doesn't work out I'll just J&D on all my attempts in fertile window. No big O for me until after I've Od. And sticking to my diet! Lots of Coke Zero and raspberry ice CL. Lunch is always elbow noodles with parm cheese and dinner I try to do white rice and a little chicken. Have ran last two days for nearly an hour and plan to tonight also. This is a lot of work we go through just to try for a girl [emoji13]
On another note when do y'all announce your pregnancy? Do you wait the 8 weeks or start calling the day you get bfp ? I always want to wait but I'm just so impatient! I think it'll be different this time though since we will be on number 5 I'm scared of getting negative comments.

Maybe you can get DH to wait by coming up with a creative way to tell your fam :) I have all these ideas for announcing such as dressing both of my boys in big brother shirts ("big brother again" and "big brother finally") at a fam gathering & waiting to see who notices first :) My coworker (expecting twins) announced close to Easter with peeps in a basket saying they're expecting "2 peeps in a pod"-thought that was cute. I just need to know gender first!!

AFM - had my blood test done today hcg =68. I'm worried this is low I'm 3 weeks and 4 days. My Hcg was in the 300s with DD around the same time so hence the concern.

My update is I haven't talked to dh about ntnp. I'm going to just go along with any bd he initiates and not 'try' to get a bd in around o time purposely. To me if I initiate it around o then it means I'm still trying (if that makes sense) and I'm not. I am done and am so happy about the thought of not being in a 2ww shortly!!!! Ash I wouldn't put too much emphasis on not having the big o. Atomic herself had the big o on her one attempt when she conceived dd, I personally know of at least another two ladies that also did as well. Just enjoy and if you o you o, if you don't you don't :) make it one less thing to worry about IMO :) if you definately want it as part of your sway then avoid having the big o when your opks start darkening...

Anyone else ever feel like it's just so far out of reach to have a girl? Like you'd be in a dream if it were to actually happen? Ash thats how i feel atm. To be honest i just feel like giving up and being happy with my lot.

I was researching what is causing my stranger tender crampy BBs as it feels like my previous pregnancy symptoms. Well i found caffeine and salty food can cause it as its a vasodilator. It tends to be on the outer breast (whereas it was all over, mainly at the nipple with pregnancy- but this is still off putting). Feel better in having some answers i thought i was going crazy 🤣

Okay....sorry for the delay! Got home right at dinner prep time, then baths, books etc etc

So good news is.....it's not an ectopic! Good news, there was a sac in my uterus, but that's it small so far. He said I'm too early to give a good indication of gestation, but it looks like 4-5 weeks. I should be 5weeks 6 days (from my dates). He said there MIGHT be a tiny yolk sac in the corner, but he said the only way to know how things are going is to keep looking at HCG progression and repeat scans. I'm seeing my ob tomorrow and he will give more more of an indication.

EDIT: Just checked and sac is measuring 4 weeks 6 days (so exactly 1 week behind)

The thing that is keeping me going is that my nausea is getting worse, heart burn, lines are getting darker, soooooo bloated and I am super tired.

I have analysed my FF chart with lots of details to share with my ob as I do not believe my dates could be out. My blood test on CD21 was positive for ovulation. I'll share it from my phone now and I would love to hear your thoughts.

Iwant4kids I think *maybe* two eggs were fertilised. Perhaps the first didn't implant properly but the second did (hence the bleeding, cramping and not quite doubling hcg that one occasion) possibly 2nd egg did implant properly but on the later side(hence the good doubling and more). Also scans this early cannot be relied on for dating purposes, it'll be closer to 7/8 week scan that will give you a better indication. Your betas are going great which is very promising. Sometimes things don't add up initially but make sense down the track 😊 I'm surprised he said it looks 4/5 weeks as if that was the case I honestly wouldn't think there'd be anything to pick up at all even via transvaginal scan??? Please keep us updated with your betas and great to hear your symptoms are increasing 😀

Iwant4kids this is great news! I had a scan at 4wsoemthing days and it showed only a sac and then I had a repeat in exactly a week and we got a hb at 5w6d!

Haha Ash-I'm not going to the extreme of selling everything, but keeping positive pink thoughts!! I'm not superstitious, but lately I'm feeling a little superstitious in my actions (if that makes sense). I'm holding on to all of my boy clothes b/c if I get rid of them, I afraid I'll have a boy. We moved to a new house recently and one of the bedrooms was pink. I felt like if I didn't paint it a neutral color, then I'd have a boy lol. I guess it's a way of feeling in control of things you can't control!
Skyblue-yes it's funny how we want what the other has...grass is always greener haha. Really I think hoping for another gender is related to the experiences we've had and also wanting to experience the joy of raising opposite genders (or all the same b/c of a unique bond).

Yes the digis say to use fmu but once you get flashy you can use them more often and I read the whole wondfo paper and it never said a thing about fmu in fact I used fmu last cycle and it wasn't any darker then use next urine like two hours later and it was positive so I never use fmu for my wondfo anymore

I used opk this morning and decided to test hpt. It was a good 6 hour + hold.

Technically i should be in the middle of my cycle ready to ovulate. No O pains as yet. Plenty of ewcm which i had after right after af.

Im thinking this may just be a shadow? The tests haven't expired. They are the diagnosis one step strip. AFM-I have been using wondfo OPKs and Iike last time, they are all pretty dark, but on CD 10 and no O cramps. Beginning to think something is wrong with me since my OPKs haven't started out light! I'll try to post a pic soon.
Ash-I'm going to try to wait until 10dpo to test as well. It's sooo easy to get tempted isn't it?!! Last cycle it seemed to lessen the blow when I started testing early & kept getting BFNs. However, feel like I wasted so many frer's & not good for my bank account lol. I do have my frer's restocked and ready though ;)

Sky with the flashing smileys I've had as little as one and as many as five. It won't always be the same cycle after cycle. If you wait to bd 3 x nights in a row at solid smiley then its possible you'll only have the one attempt 'technically' as you'll end up with a 1-o, day of o and day after o attempts. That's assuming you o the day after solid smiley of course. Day of o is not the best attempt wise and day after o is pointless. Unfortunately it really is a guessing game as opks can only tell us when our surge is at its peak but not when we'll actually o. Though generally its between 12-72 hours after FIRST pos opk. Your opk looks very close to pos so if it was me I'd start my 3 x night attempts tonight so you'll hopefully have a 2-o, 1-o and day of o attempts BUT it's entirely up to you. It's a gamble really on whether your opk will be completely pos tomorrow. Maybe for peace of mind do another digi opk now (or after a hold) to see whether its solid or flashing still and make a decision from there...

I did another wondfo and it was so light that I could hardly see. May be because I didn't hold for long.
Here is what I think I should do. I am going to test again after holding off before bed. If it's still flashey which I think it's going to be then I will wait for another day. Dh is going to be home for the next two days and I can ask him to be a little considerate incase the opks change. That means he will be home for next four days including weekend.

Hi ladies! Here are my OPKs-all dry and they look about the same. They were all done in the afternoon. I feel like there should be a light to dark progression. Last time, they were all about the same and then the test line got much darker when I had O pains. I'm just guessing that is what will happen again to help me determine a pos OPK. Last time someone mentioned PCOS or thyroid as the cause for the dark lines. Sure hope this isn't the reason I keep getting BFNs every cycle :(

Lola it was me that mentioned pcos I believe. I think they start with a blood test diagnosis wise then do further testing pending the results however I'm not sure that's how it goes, is there any way you can get in to ask your gp for bw? It won't mean you cant get pregnant, there are plenty of ladies here that have pcos and have fallen pregnant. Atomic even has an le diet for those with pcos. Not at all saying you have it but just might be worthwhile ruling out. In the meantime can you do e4d instead just to cover yourself and give yourself a chance attempt wise if opks follow last cycles trend?

Sky I would seriously consider eod as soon as next cycle which hopefully you wont get to because you'll be pregnant! Because you have an average cycle I would suggest eod from cd8 through to cd18 if possible. The thing is its not just down to no. of attempts or timing on its own, the diet and lifestyle is the main focus and all these other things just add a nudge. Unfortunately some people are just simply blessed with one or more of each gender no matter what they do 😕 just do your best because short of going HT that's all you can do. It's hard not to get wrapped up in anything and everything sway wise :( and unfortunately there is no gaurentee, I've seen the strongest sways fail. The best advice I can give right now is to remember you have to get pregnant to even have a 50/50 chance so maybe focus more on getting that bfp than swaying (as in timing and attempts) and it may be that it ultimately sways for you anyway xxoo

Netti I've used those pregnosis hpts before and they were always stark except for when I had a really good line on an frer then I had a *faint* line on the pregnosis one. They are no way near as sensitive as an frer but all this aside I actually feel I can see a shadow of a line on the second pic. Please can you get an frer to test with tomorrow morning 🙏

Lola - thank you. I have PCO (not the syndrome). Your body gears up to O many times, but doesn't always, hence multiple almost positive OPKs. I'm not saying this what is happening to you though. I don't have any signs other than varying cycle lengths.

AFM - Saw my ob, had a cry. He did an external scan and saw a small sac....didn't want to worry me with an internal again. Told him your theory Pbn3 and he said it could be a possibility. He's none the wiser, but was very lovely. I had a blood test tonight and I'll get the results tomorrow. Then another appointment and scan next Wed. Plus more bloods depending on tomorrow's results.

Open circles mean you either took your temp at a different time than you usually do, or you selected the sleep deprived finding.

Ash-that's interesting that some of your tests have been dark too, makes me feel better...maybe it's how wondfos work? I've never had O issues before.
Skyblue-I used digi's with DS1, maybe it was an earlier type, but mine never flashed-just got a solid smiley & BD that night, the next night and maybe the next morning. I'm tempted to start using the digis again b/c I'm curious how it would read my dark lines! Maybe I'll head to the store after work. I think your eod plan sounds good! Exciting that you are so close!

Lola Was your positive opk the day before or day of your temp spike? I think last cycle I got pos opk then temp spike the next morning! Exciting it's getting so close for everyone. I have found that even being off by 30min causes FF to give open circles. I wouldn't worry about it too much. You should have seen my charts with me waking up at different times, because I was still breastfeeding my DS3 [emoji38]!

Shann-very interesting thought! While that would be awesome, doesn't seem likely since I had BFNs around 15/16 dpo, then AF arrived. It was heavy, but only lasted 2 days which was strange. Maybe I'll try a frer though just to see :) I do love POAS haha.
Ash-love your attitude! Def want to enjoy the last pregnancy! It will be mine too, so it's bittersweet! Your OPKs are progressing the way I would expect mine to...looks completely normal!

Does you cd 11 looks darker than the rest or did they look like that before they dried? And with the digi it will always give you a blank circle the first time you use it so since we're going to get our bfps this cycle you should hold for a while and take another tonight

Lolla - The digi ones tells the day on the manual when u should start testing based on your cycle length. It says to keep
testing with fmu until flashing smiley and after flashing, u can test anytime. I like the pink one better since they just give you solid smiley and U can test anytime and are cheaper too. I think u should try to hold and test again at night just to see if u get a flashing one. I am glad that u got digis since those opks are really dark. Fx for bfp.

Ladies another reminder that you cannot use the dual hormone digi more than once a day until you get a flashing smiley. So Lola because you got the open circle this morning (which is always the first reading) you will need to wait and test tomorrow morning with fmu. Then if its flashing you'll be able to test again later that day. Sorry if I'm reading the comments wrong but to me you're being advised to hold and use the digi again tonight which you wont be able to do. Hope this makes sense.

Think this digi is going to be more helpful than wondfos.
We have a lot going for us this cycle...keeping calm, new moon, good BD plans...fx we will all get BFPs!!

@lola because it works on two hormones I think its like a calibration thing the first test which will always be open circle. You may skip the flashing smileys and go straight to solid tomorrow morning. The dual hormone digi's use your first test as a starting point, then a flashing smiley appears when it detects changes in estrogen and goes solid when it detects your lh surge. It is possible to go from open circle straight to solid smiley because you started testing with it later in your cycle :)

You'll see a temp rise after o. So if you got a solid smiley tomorrow morning you'll expect to see a rise in temp two mornings later. Your bd yesterday was protected right? And also even if you do get a solid smiley tonight there's a very good chance you still wont o until day after tomorrow.
