I wanted to answer the following question from the previous thread:

Hi, me again :) After Maxim's cervix question, I realized that I need guidance on how it's supposed to feel if you are pregnant and how soon can you tell? I'm new to checking & it's hard to tell!! I think mine is soft not sure about open/closed...

I think it will vary from person to person. Mine got very high right after I O'd then came down a bit and went back up. The firmness stayed either soft or medium soft and then I stopped checking. One of the bigger things I noticed was that I got some seriously sticky and thick CM during the 2WW. It reminded me of elmer's paste. I had it for a day and then that's it. I had a c-section before so I'm no help in the opening and closing part.

That is for that info Cosmo this is way gross but one day the day I actually seen some spotting it was 5dpo I had a huge glob of elmers glue real sticky cm and I noticed a very tiny long almost like piece of red string mixed in. Which was the "spotting" I noticed then I've noticed a couple there random days this also but never as thick and gooey as 5dpo.
I absolutely love the name of may [emoji7][emoji7] I sure hope we all get a bfp

Ash-11dpo is the earliest I've ever had a BFP, but I started at 10dpo...neg one day, pos the next!!!

I second Ash's question and would also like to know if anyone continues with their OPKs and have noticed them getting darker again. Perhaps to end in a BFP???

I didn't do any of this tracking stuff leading up to my previous pregnancies.

Ash can you change your poll question to include what type of hpt? That will for sure affect what dpo a bfp is seen :)

Mine was 8dpo with ds2 using frer. My last three pregnancies have been 9dpo using frers.

Dreaming I've used opks close to af being due and found I'd get a decent line (not positive). Some women experience an lh surge prior to af arriving. An opk would have to be positive to indicate pregnancy and that won't happen before you get a pos hpt :) unless of course you test soley with opks and yes it would darken to a pos opk

Lola its (early 😦) morning of 8dpo for me. I oed a day later than you, Ash and Sky but because of the time frame difference we are the same dpo :)

Maxim I nearly forgot... you asked in the other thread as to whether diluted urine can affect an opk reading and yes it absolutely can!!! You should try and limit fluids for 2-3 hours prior to testing as in just take sips here and there not drink whole cups etc. That's another reason I love the cb dual hormone opks as you use fmu for testing!! No holding, no limiting fluids 😀😀

Maxim boo at the temp drop :( but two possibilities come to mind. Could be a fallback rise or you haven't oed... we'll see what tomorrows temp does... can you try limiting fluids and hold for an opk today?

Yay pbn for kicking off the testing craze! B/c of my POAS addictive behavior last time, I'm trying to refrain...BUT you know being around others, I just might slip lol 🤣
So, my 1st BFP was at 11dpo on a frer...with that being said, I wasn't charting temps then, just looking at a calendar of suggested days and feeling my usual O cramps, so I could've been off a day or 2.
Pbn-I'm going to examine your hpt in better light, but as we always say...it IS still early [emoji4]

AF just arrived this morning - this means, we are officially in our 1st attempt cycle – so nervous and excited all at once!! ^^ (2nd cycle in a row I get over 12DPO and have AF start in the morning rather than at night) – hoping it’s a sign that my fertility has improved - if so, thanks HE :D

This is what I feel, I was having cramps on CD 10 and thought i ovulated that time, However my OPK was negative on 2.00 PM on CD-10 and cramps started on 5.00 PM. But ff took CD-9 as ovulation day.

Most of you will know I don't have any trust in pulled apart tests especially when looking at photos. This is my test from this morning. It was a stark bfn. This photo was taken about within 10 seconds of pulling apart and *without* the flash to show its completely colourless line *may* lead someone to believe they have a faint line as it looks slightly coloured against different surfaces :) Lecture over 😂😂😂 and sometimes a pulled apart test with a faint line can go on to be a bfp but usually it's an evap as this photo shows very very well. Again this was within 10 seconds of pulling apart the test. It makes a lot of sense Pbn. I can see what you are saying. There clearly is a line but no color in it.
Sumbal - I don't want to worry about Chinese calendar and moon phase because there won't be a perfect month. I would rather try to get good attempts in the fertile window. I didn't check the Chinese Calendar but it was wrong for a lot of friends. I want to follow the moon phase but it's hard to have ur O and BD days on the exact day so I m focusing on the things that I can control. [emoji4] And always picking Pbn's brain. For diet, I am not too strict but eat oats for breakfast or cereals and try to eat more meat than usual but not like everyday. Can't do it. I snack on nuts. Don't wait to get hungry and drinking coconut water almost everyday and Mucinex from cd12 to O. No coffee no drinking.
Taking one a day prenatals and folic acid.

I got my BFP officially at 9dpo and wasn't able to show anything on camera until 10dpo, however, I saw a shadow at 7dpo and I looked like a crazy woman trying to post those images :3 I used wondfo mainly and a couple of frer to verify.

Wondfo's are just as sensitive, if not more than frers. I got my 7,8 and 9dpo shadow lines on wondfo strips. The frer didn't pick it up clearly until 11dpo. I did get a squinter at 9dpo with frer but it was questionable and most people felt it was an evap, whereas, with wondfo it was a pretty clear shadow.

Ok last one I promise. I do feel more comfortable seeing a faint shadow on wondfo because last cycle even when my frer gave me an evap I have absolutely nothing on wondfo.

Finally I'm done with my meeting & couldn't wait to get back & see pics Ash!!! I see it yay!!! I can also tell the OPK is darker! Fx it gets darker, can't wait to see the progression! Wait until Thursday?!! Yeah right!! Does DH realize he's dealing with POAS addicts??!! lol.

I used a wondfo just now and saw nothing at all. I think I m out ladies. My sleep is screwed. I don't sleep for more than an hour at a stretch. May be hour n a half of I get lucky. So i guess my temps are all over the place due to that and I pee when ever I wake up throughout the night too. My diet has gone down the drain since I don't feel hungry at all. Dh and I are hardly eating ever since dd is unwell. I m waiting for af now so that I can get back on track when all this is over. I m not feeling too bad as I am literally not eating much which isn't good for my sway. Thankyou for letting me vent. [emoji12][emoji12]

I can also attest to Cosmosis assessment that Wondfo or Easy @Home HCG strips are more sensitive than FRER or digital. Plus they're cheaper so it's a win win. :)

I am on CD 23 and 6DPO. This is when I start to go insane! So I'm enjoying seeing you all test.

BTW, I never feel very confident in my temps because I have always had low temps to begin with. Also, sometimes if I wake up super early and get the resting temp then instead of my usual time, it's usually really low. Does anyone else have that experience? What are your temping best practices?

Sky you still have every chance!!! These early detect tests (frers etc) that say you can test up to 5 days before af is due is based on someone with an average lp of 14 days. So when you say your only 3 days away from af being due a person with an lp of 14 days would be 5/6 days from af. Your hpt result will only show after implantation takes place regardless of how long your lp is. Does that make sense?

Sumbal I meant to ask yesterday if you're temping orally or vaginally? I strongly recommend vaginally temping if you're not as open mouth breathing while you're asleep can lower your mouth temp prior to waking up and temping. And even if you wake with your mouth closed it may have been open only minutes prior to that. Make sense? Also I can't see your chart link through tapatalk?

Pbn3 - Yes, I am temping orally. Maybe if this isn't my month, I should move to vaginal. I have noticed that when I breath a certain way on the thermometer it registers as finished quickly. So that could be one of my problems.

Also if you wake up earlier than usual and temp then it will be lower. If that happened to me I'd lay as still as possible in bed (while playing on my phone) until I got a bit closer to usual temping time. There are bbt time adjusters online but I think they are pretty inaccurately high.

I'm trying to not read into the chart too much. A couple of months ago the same temp increase happened but on day 7 and 8, so I started reading about triphasic charts. Then out of nowhere, even with my temps still high, AF came. I was devastated.

It feels nice to have the encouragement though. Gosh guys, it was so easy to get prego with my first two little monkeys. I'm sure getting the whole experience now!

My FRERs were always darker than the Wondfo HCG tests, although not by much. I would say that Wondfo HCG tests are equal to or slightly more sensitive than FRERs.

I've been doing about 3-4 days a week but I don't feel like it's enough at all I used to run everyday and just before I started ttc I ran a half marathon. There is no way I could do that now and that was just in February. I'm ok though with letting every other day and elliptical or treadmill the off day. I've been doing an active maternity workout lol better to plan ahead right... and I love it

Pbn- Don't even say twins! 3 sets of my great grandparents are twins. That would be insanity and also genetic. Aaah!

I'll test again over the next couple days to see if it's getting darker. Then I'll call the doc and set up bloodwork to rule out ectopic. I really hope to not go through that again.

I think you should prepare yourself for twins 😂 as I won't even entertain the thought of ectopic. I have never seen a clear line like that at 6dpo on an frer or a wondfo!! I do and I'll use it in the morning. I will say though that my doc believes my natural hcg state is higher than 0; perhaps 4 she said based on the last round of bw I had when waiting for levels to go down during the ectopic. I've never tracked or taken a test this early with any of my pregnancies either. So it's possible that mine could show up early if you think about it from that perspective. Idk tho, I could be reaching! This is crazy!

Thanks so much for the welcome! ^^ hard to keep up with you – so many pages since I posted haha

@Ash- I have 2 daughters - one turning 4 at the end of July and another just turned 19 m.o (2 at the end of September) – both Clomid babies (I have mild PCOS and endometriosis so getting pregnant was a bit of a journey, needed laparoscopies and treatments prior to getting pregnant with them). Since starting HE, and weaning DD2, my cycles have seemingly gotten waaaay better (clear O, EWCM, and a decent luteal phase went from 8-10days to 12-14 days!!) so am hopeful we may conceive naturally, and without too much delay - the older I get, the less patient I am haha ^^

Will start OPKs from CD10-11ish – get ready to see pics from me :P and don’t get me started on my POAS addiction for preg tests – I am all stocked up - dozens of internet cheapies and a box of FRERs ready to draw as early as possible ^^ will have to work out how to get my FF chart into my signature too…any advice on how to do that?

@Dream – Omg there is something on that PT – are you going to test again soon ?! FX the line shows up even clearer so there can be no doubt – excited to see BFPs here! ^^

@Skyblue & Ash – from what I gather you are going to POAS today? FX :D

In order to keep my TTC and waiting for 1st attempt more bearable – have finally taking the plunge and booked in to get my 1st ever tattoo done – will see the tattooist on Friday to discuss design then will likely do the tattoo itself shortly after – exciiiiting but scary (I figure I had both my kids with no pain relief whatsoever, I can do this, right? Right?? Lol). Since you can’t be preggers or bfing when doing the tattoo, I am hoping this is my window of opportunity to get it done and then hopefully get knocked up shortly after :D

I didnt have idea about vaginal temping. this is my first TTC so You can say I am quite new in this area but I try to follow all of you. My first daughter was unplanned and I conceieved right after my marriage. But after a misscarriage I came on internet to find some help then found this site. After getting here, I learnt allot what is ovulation and how to track all. even on this cycle i am upset a bit because I first time knew that I ovulate so early and this can cause immature egg. lets see what ll happen.

Sumbal I highly recommend you switch to temping vaginally next cycle, it's far more accurate :) let me know if you have any questions about it. I'm sorry your temps are dropping :( but looking at the brighter side of things you may get more attempts in next cycle! If multiple attempts at pos opk is too much then eod (e2d) would be a fantastic option for you seeing as you o on the early side. Eod sways strongly blue 💙 Start bding when af finishes and continue to do so eod until you have a temp rise then do one more just in case (keeping to the eod pattern)

Speaking of oing on the early side it is very possible to conceive a healthy bean oing on cd10. I will attach a couple screenshots of forum posts I found and there are heaps more when you look :) Also this may have been a one off oing at cd10, if there's anything in the world that messes with your cycle its actively ttc 😂

I cant see yours or LMSM's chart links probably because I use tapatalk so I'll annoy you ladies for screenshots instead 😆 I'm interested to see what your lp will be because that's far more important than what cd you o :)
