Only one little baby bean! Heart was beating away but they double booked the ultrasound room and had to use the portable and it doesn't let you hear the beat. But we could see it so that's reassuring! Measuring one day ahead 8w5d due date kept on January 15th. I do have t start taking the p-17 shots again every week from week 16-36 [emoji37] but if it keeps baby inside and snug I'm ok with that. I don't get panorama so I will be finding out gender July 22nd as long as dh is not working that weekend.

I had my 12 week scan today and they dated me at 13+3, revised due date of 12th December, DH over the moon to avoid Christmas baby haha.

Sky - We haven't told anyone. I'm dying to tell my Sis/Parents, but thinking I'll hold out another week. I'd be amazed/surprised with myself if I make it til my scan though.

Y'all - I just bought sooooo many used/second hand maternity clothes [emoji85] I just got so excited!! My wondfo line is now officially as dark as control line - forgot to post picture. I actually went for a quick jog this AM. I know it's silly but I still get nervous every now and then bc I'm not feeling as nauseous as I did last time. But, the voice of reason kicks in and 1) only 5 weeks 2)every pregnancy is different [emoji854]

Kat-yay post the pic! Can you believe I didn't test today? May even make it to Monday without testing since we have family in our house!! Yay for maternity clothes!! Def early, so try not to let the worries get to you! Yep, every pregnancy is diff, so you may not even get bad MS at all! And 8/10 business days...eek that's just SO long to wait!!!!
So-is it bad that I haven't even had my 1st appt & staged my baby announcement pic today lol....which I won't be showing to fam/friends for a very long time haha.

Ok so we were in a museum when the dr office called (I wasn't expecting it so soon) to schedule my nuchal scan. I missed the call and they called after the phones were already off for the weekend [emoji52]. So I'll call back Monday to make the appointment. My question is when is the nub theory good? Like I want to go soon to have the appointment because I want to see baby again but I don't want to go to early I think my ob says between 11-13weeks

Ash - last pregnancy I got one at 12 weeks and they looked at the potty area and told me 85% girl. She obviously was. I think it depends on how friendly the technician is. Exciting though!

Kat I'm not usually so lucky to get an awesome tech at this place. My ob hospital doesn't do it so I have to drive a couple hours away. Last two times I asked for a potty shot I didn't know about nub theory but they were pretty snippy and wouldn't even humor me. I'll for sure be trying again

I am so close to everyone both dh and my side. I just don't know how they would react when I tell them in 8 weeks. [emoji12][emoji12][emoji12] But to be fair, it's just my way of protecting them. Kat-I know what you mean! For some reason, I feel more worried this time too. For DS2, I remember saying to my OB, "everything went so well with DS1, can everything be just as smooth with DS2?" My OB said "absolutely it can" and that's what I'm trying to tell myself this time!

Lolla - I have been doing ok too. Bloating has gone down and all other discomforts have subsided. Now I don't feel pregnant [emoji51][emoji51] n I can't stop worrying every now and then. I never had ms with dd. So I don't know what it feels like too. I realized that I get the sick feeling if I eat a lot at once so I m trying to eat healthy mostly [emoji12]and move around a lot and I m so busy these days anyway.
Kat - I loved the water with my last pregnancy and iced water was the best. Not yet this time so far.
My dh is also the same. He didn't have a good long conversation with his mom in a few weeks and I am feeling hopeful for the same for 3 more weeks. Long shot though. It's hard for him to keep it to him only with his mom. [emoji4]
Don't worry much. Just one day at a time. We r here to support each other. [emoji847][emoji847][emoji847]

My dd looks just like me but she is a daddy's girl n will anyway pick him over me and being the mom, I am always trying to teach her the right things and make sure she has enough classes to go to and just basically making sure that I make her a strong independent person and daddy only worries about spoiling her which kind of balances it all but I want a boy so bad because I have seen how boys are so clingy to their moms and just love mom's more than dad and I want to experience that. To have dh be his teacher and I be his love and spoil him. When I lay in bed every night, I can picture everyone's reaction if it's another girl since we have so many girls in the family. Dh says he will be more thrilled if it's a girl and I guess I will be a bit sad but may be will be fine later. But I will be more disturbed with the comments of the extended family. I think we all feel the same sky about finding out gender. It does worry me that dd would be more attached to dh which is why I'm ok with another boy but my extended family will also have smarty comments if it's another boy.
But I do agree boys are for sure mommy lovers they always run to you when they're hurt to sad not daddy. I do hope you get your ds so you can experience the closeness [emoji170]

Sky-I absolutely feel the same way and in no way shape or form do you sound like a horrible person for speaking your mind! Many of us are thinking the same thing!!! We do want our girlies so bad, but thanks for pointing out the positives. Boys def do Looooove their mommas!!! Both of mine are clingy, but especially DS2-he's a major "clingon" lol. DH says I spoil them too much, but I say there's nothing wrong with loving them too much!

Hi ladies!
How did everyone react to the monkey announcement ash? Love the idea!
I'm 12 weeks today with my nuchal scan in a week's time and we'll properly announce then (most friends and our parents know). My husband is a nerdy computer gamer so we're going to do a player 4 connecting Xmas 2017 photo announcement.

I must say I'm over this thrush! Never had it with DD but this pregnancy about 3 days after gettig my positive bam...thrush! Not bad and it will go away after 2-3 days but then a week or so later - it's back again. I've been eating so much yoghurt! Just got rid of the 10th round of thrush this pregnancy yesterday - this will.make it an annoying 9 months. However a friend had thrush her entire pregnancy with her boy and not her girl, so hoping it means blue vibes!

Sky-I have a weird taste in my mouth too. I had the hardest time waking up this morning! I think we've been going going going all weekend & have finally crashed today. We took our family all over yesterday site-seeing & it was a lot of fun, but running around in the hot weather with 5 kiddos is draining!! It sounds like you're at the typical early stages of pregnancy with craving sour & metallic tastes!!

As for me i am still a bit depressed. Had some fullness like feeling but was still able to keep everything down. But that's gone now so not sure what that was about. Feel exhausted but i think that's my depression more than the pregnancy.

I will wait till at least the dating scan to tell only the ppl that must know. I will avoid telling anyone that doesn't really need to know.

But I did feel so tired and I took a 3 hour nap yesterday afternoon and slept in today. Dh knows my crazy routine so he is happy that I could catch up on my rest. We announced to family and on Facebook this weekend! Family didn't have any rude boy girl comments which was relieving they're all super excited! We left the house Friday morning and still aren't home yet! I just needed a weekend away from home and cleaning and sewing just away from the daily stresses! Dad and the big boys went to an MLB game this afternoon while I spend some time with the little guys at the children's museum then we will hopefully be home by bed time! Fun but exhausting weekend with feeling so nauseous and trying to kept going like the energizer bunny. Along with some people's body odor 🤢🤢! Forgot to post the other day my next appointment is July 6th then I'll have one more in 4 weeks then I will start them weekly which is a big paint but o'well it'll hopefully help bring a big healthy baby to us.

Dh and my mom think i am being silly. All our family is out of states. I havent told snyone of my friends but i know what they will say " searching for a boy ? " "o my what if its your 4th girl?"
Every child is a blessing but the fact is I am not physically ready for a 4th. In fact for me even the 3rd was a stretch but after reading these forums i felt maybe i might get a son so gave it a try.
What makes me angry is its all my fault. I should have moved forward with permanent birth control. I just didnt except this.

@Bluebooties you need to see your gp or ob to discuss the possibility of going on antidepressants even just short term ❤ Do not wait for 'time to heal' as it wont. If you are already at the stage of 'I have lost all interest in life as if a switch just turned off' then now is the time to see someone. I have been where you are and waited way too long to get help. But I finally did and could have kicked myself a hundred ways to Friday for not going sooner. Please don't wait any longer. It's exhausting emotionally and physically being depressed and then you have to deal with the terrible guilt on top of it all for not being a 'normal' mother or wife (which is very exaggerated in a depressed mind). Within a week or so of being on antidepressants you will start feeling normal again and will cry happy tears instead of sad at how good it feels to be yourself again. It is not a sign of weakness to get help, it does not mean you are not a strong person. Sometimes strength comes from accepting what you'd rather ignore and then doing something about it. I have almost weaned off my antidepressants completely after taking them since October last year and I have felt no ill side affects mentally or physically. I have been weaning off very slowly because the thought of going back to where I was mentally last year was terrifying. But I am still me and I am feeling just like me and am so happy I appear to have come out the other end of depression perfectly fine. Which you will too!! You just need to take that first (and hardest) step. We are right here with you and please by all means pm me any questions or anything you like if that makes you feel more comfortable. Never forget that you are irreplaceable no matter what your head and heart are saying ❤ your head and heart and unwell but will be feeling so much better really soon. So again, please make the appointment now ❤

Kat-well after a marathon weekend, I've been pretty lazy. Made a trip to the pet store in efforts to entertain the boys & also grocery store. We all took a long nap lol. I ordered my weeks estimator off of eBay last cycle. I'm nervous to see what my last one says. None of us really need more tests, but just.can't.stop 🤣
Ash-I love that you told your fam & that they were all so supportive! You are supermom doing all of that while feeling nauseous & tired!! At least with weekly appts, you'll see to see/hear your sweet babe more!!
Sky-family has left. We had a blast, but relieved to have my time & space back to myself since I've been SO tired! Awesome that your DH helped you catch up on some rest. My DH went off to work, so I was up early & entertaining the boys after a whirlwind weekend & really just wanted some sleep! Thank goodness for naps!!!
Bluebooties-I'm so sorry for what you're going through, but please know that we're here for you! I have anxiety issues and take a small dose (25mg) of Zoloft which is also used for depression. My OB said that I didn't need to wean off of it if all is well. My gp always said meds help for the short term, but talking to someone (therapist) may help in the long term. I have never taken that step, but agree that talking to someone may help me cope with anxiety. I feel like it's something that runs in my dad's family & I've researched & developed my own ways to cope. All of that is beside the point, I agree with everything pbn said! It takes strength & courage to realize that you need to take care of yourself first and get yourself back to a happy place b/c your kiddos (and precious miracle growing in you) need you. I like to think of the flight attendant oxygen mask safety analogy. You know how they always say to put YOUR mask on before your children? You can't help them or anyone else until you've helped yourself [emoji173] You can come here & vent anytime!!

My sisters, and probably my mum once we know all is well, will definitely say they hope its a girl. On a happy note I've managed to lose 1kg in six days by counting calories and fat intake!!! I am doing the recommended 1800 and up to 60g fat and have gone over a couple times so not being strict or restrictive in any way :) I did have some chocolate last night though that will surely tack onto this week 😆 but it was worth it lol!

You look so cute! I've been doing the same as you and have only gained 13-15lbs so far at 24 weeks! I'm super happy about that!! From now until 34 weeks I'll probably only gain another 5-10lbs. I typically stop gaining weight around 34 weeks. My appetite goes south as I become so big!!

Oh, and to the ladies that have a funny taste in their mouth, I had that with DS1-3. It was like I had a mouthful of quarters [emoji13]!

Yes 9 weeks today Lola! I've always been more curvy all my genes are against me lol my dads prolly around 250/60 is and mom around 300 so it's a constant daily struggle to even be able to stay steady around 160 but I'm ok with it I know all the running/ working out is good for the heart and will help me live longer for the boys. And my bmi was ok to not have to do a glucose test with my first set of blood work I call that a win [emoji23]

Kat-there are no reported cases of Zika in my state on the data from 6/7/17. Didn't you say your boss wanted you to travel for work? Did you say that you talked to her about that? I think there are more concerns about traveling to infected areas or being around those who have recently traveled to those areas like Puerto Rico. I never got a nuchal scan last time and i think i won't get it this time either considering i am at the same practice. They did a dating scan at 8 to 10 weeks and then anomaly scan at 20 weeks.

I hardly dare to say it, but I haven't been sick in a couple of days.. I feel almost *whispers* normal. Eek. Of course, I immediately worry that something is wrong but all seems to be ok as far as I can tell.

I'm beginning to wonder if I may see a return of gender disappointment though, I didn't have it with my last pregnancy so I figured it was gone but I've noticed little things like a complete insistence on referring to the baby as a boy (just in case) and being completely unable to look at girl things. I'm entirely unsure where it's coming from and frankly I feel a bit rediculous and greedy. Sigh. Brains are so freaking weird.

My OB is at the University hospital where my dad works, so there are several different offices my OB goes to. Just scheduled my Panorama blood test for next Tuesday 6/20 but they said it can take 2 weeks or sometimes longer to get the results. Then another OB and u/s appointment on 6/27 which will put me at 10.5 - 11 weeks. I was surprised that they wanted another u/s but I'll take it.

I'll know more about timing after my appointment on the 28th. I thought I could get the blood test thing for free because I'm 35, but I've never talked to my DR about it so really just guessing. Srg I'm sorry you didn't hear boy :( but I wouldn't be 100% sure until your 20w scan. The nub theory is very accurate but I have seen it wrong a few times on this site so I would wait until a potty shot further along. Assume its a girl but don't paint the nursery just yet. Kat I worked with a lady whose husband found out gender but she didn't. Maybe something to consider? I've offered my dh the same but he is happy to wait (at this stage lol)

So ladies who will be posting their sway soon? I'm going to post a 'non sway' after tomorrows scan as I had quite a few unintentional pink friendly things going on when I conceived.

Here's the nub pic the tech gave me, but we looked at another one that was even longer and flatter. I'm pretty heartbroken to be honest, and DH just keeps telling me that he told me from the beginning he didn't want to have another if I was going to get upset with a fourth girl. I feel a little better than after my last failed away, but it still hurts.

Pbn - He totally offered that but is like the worst at keeping secrets, hence 5 people already know I'm pregnant so I doubt that would work. We've already given the baby the nickname Trey bc #3 in hopes our kiddos won't pick up on it [emoji23] I'm so ready for your appt tomorrow!! Hopefully I can stay awake.

Srg - I know nothing about nubs but I definitely wouldn't get your hopes up going off a nub. Last pregnancy the tech showed me the girl parts (3 lines) at 12 ish weeks so it was evident. Sounds like you are still in the running for [emoji170]

Super cute pic srg. I'm not up on nub theory either but I've been trying to study them and this is such a clear picture I'm curious what your 20week will say. Are you paying for an elective soon? I def. wouldn't give up on a boy for just a nub guess your not out yet.

Srg hugs, hope ur doing ok, don't give in just yet, nubs aren't all that accurate and this baby might still surprise you.

As i said i wont be finding out (at least that's my plan for now). Dh i am sure will want to know and he might as well. I won't get a nub shot/12 week scan as i didn't last year so there wont be any guessing at that either.

Thanks, ladies. No elective for me, so I'll wait for confirmation at 20 weeks. The nub was pretty clear, and the tech at this place was right with my last baby.
We're headed to Florida and Disney tomorrow for the next week, so hopefully that will be a good distraction for me. We went two years ago when I was 22 weeks pregnant with DD3, and I was sad about her gender then too. I was hoping to be buying a boy gift for this babe, but as my middle daughter said, "We're a girl family."

Kat-I have been feeling extra crazy today for some reason. I have all of these thoughts going through my head...scared I won't hear girl, then I feel guilty for not focusing on health...then switch back to thinking how disappointed I'll be if I don't get to experience a DD, then back to thinking health...then think about how I feel like no one will be excited if it's another boy ugh. I need to know gender now so that I can quit playing these scenario in my head and focus on the baby! Btw, Trey-cute nickname! :)

I have a silly question & wanted to hear thoughts. My family has invited me out on the boat this weekend & no one knows I'm preggo. It's a small motorboat...would it even be safe to go bouncing around through the waterways? It wouldn't be the deep ocean, but could get choppy. I'm thinking of declining anyway as I have to pee every 5 minutes & wondering if it would make me seasick. No major nausea yet, slightly queasy at times, but certainly don't want to trigger anything!

Lola I absolutely couldn't do it because of the peeing frequency either 😂 probably best to give it a miss if there's a chance of choppy water. That's alot of hard bum banging if there's no cushioned seats or even if there is 😜

Srg, do you have anymore side profile pics? This pic has the nub angled upward. It's not just being long and flat- it's also being parallel to the spine that means girl. My DS2 had a long and flat nub but was angled upward 30 degrees like the pic you posted. I don't want to give you false hope here, but if all other views showed a nub like this, I would suspend all judgement until 20weeks. Prepare to hear girl, but I'm not entirely sold on it either.

Thank you so much everyone ❤ xxforhubby I cried on and off for like an hour after my scan 😂😂 sorry I've taken so long but I had to go to the shop, drive home, make lunch for us all etc etc so here is my blob on the left and lovely size gest sac on the right. While she turning the heartbeat sound on she said 'oh look! Bub is moving!! Did you see?' I'm like crying talking, 'no, I just see a blob!' but then I seen the tiniest of movements which I think was an arm 😀

So now I'm booking in to get nipt done this time next week, the nuchal scan the week after (I'll only be 11 weeks but with getting nipt done it doesn't matter being that early, plus it'll be too early to see a girl or boy nub so super happy having it done so early!) Then I see my ob again in 3 weeks!

Sky & Kat-how are you two feeling? Any MS? I started having MS & terrible food aversions around 6 weeks with DS1 and only MS here & there with DS2, but not much. I know full & well that each pregnancy is different, but all of a sudden since I'm 5 1/2 weeks, I'm starting to freak out that I'm not feeling worse. As long as there's a healthy baby, I'm cool with that, but the worrying is taking over as usual!!!

I think I've said this before but holy beast! I am having the biggest issue with leg hair I shave and it's stubbly before I even get out of the shower and I've been having massive razor burn which is not good for summer time and swimming! Anyone else having this issue? It's a first for me never had a problem with any of the other four pregnancies! It hurts/ burns and is not pretty!
