Hmmm I thought it more accurate when it was allocated to cd18? You didn't have a pos opk entered but still had the neg opks in from cd18 on? I'd try and leave the pos opk entry or make a note on that day you've recorded it that it wasn't actually pos. Saves any confusion for down the track :)

I just finished my appointment with the RE. I was in her office for 45 minutes and she was incredible! Again, I cried out of nowhere (wtf is wrong with me lately?!) and she promised me that as her patient, it's not a matter if IF I have #3, it's WHEN I have #3. She also told me about her experience, which was so reassuring. She had 2 girls and had unexplained infertility for over 5 years when ttc #3 - ended up with IVF and identical twin boys, says it's absolute chaos and she wouldn't change it for the world...and she said that she wishes I have boys next because her girls are so much harder than her boys LOL. Anyway, the gist of it is that she thinks that nothing is wrong and it's just going to take me some more time to adjust for age. She told me she thinks I should stop temping, stop opk's, have sex every other day (which doesn't work for my swaying LOL, but I didn't even go there!) for the next several cycles and see what happens. She said (and I somewhat believe) that my type A personality coupled with all the testing, temping, etc. causes me so much stress and that can hinder pregnancy. That said, she is equally happy to have me start clomid this coming cycle if I don't get pregnant. It's my choice and I need to call her to follow up in the next week or two. A lot to chew on... What would you guys do??

I should also add that her advice about temping/opk's is identical to atomic's advice... Curious if that's the route to go down, do you just do e4d since you aren't doing opk's??

Personally I never charted or tempted ever with my other four. Just had intercourse every day during the month and got pregnant with them. I was much younger then though. Lol my body doesn't work like that anymore. I don't know how I ever got my one girl though. Can't figure that one out for the life of me. Have always lived a boy life.

Kat, atomic didn't say to stop and I don't think she recommends that...but she did say for me (in my case!) that the opk's aren't necessary since they cause more stress at times. I don't believe she used them, but I could be wrong?!

I'm such a stress case either way...I either stress because I know what's going on, or I stress because I don't know what's going on. Geez lol...

Max - There's something about letting that stuff go that works. I'll share that I forgot my thermometer for 4 straight days on a trip I took during the cycle I conceived and when I got home I had a positive OPK 2 days later. I let it go because there wasn't anything I could do about it and it totally mellowed me out that month. Maybe try to give up temping and just do OPK. Temping doesn't help pinpoint O really anyway until after the fact.

I will start OPK at cd10 instead. I think I have been all over the place, and never assume I O at the same tine every month when I totally don't ... I do have wondfo OPK sticks. My temp and opks were way off this cycle and I was out of my digi opks right when I was expecting the solid smiley that pm or am but I decided not to stress and luckily had one opk which I used and it was positive and we did our attempts. The reason I didn't care about temps and opks was because I thought I am not going to get a bfp this cycle because I didn't sleep for 10 nights straight as dd had undergone a medical procedure. But I was so wrong. My point is dropping temping won't be a bad thing after all.Opks will be good. I know u r going to get that bfp this cycle. 🤞🤞🤞[emoji4][emoji847][emoji847][emoji847]

Nacire- I think it's ok to switch to vaginal since I remember one of us did that mid cycle. We use alcohol wipes to clean the thermometer. I also washed with soap and water sometimes making sure the water doesn't go in the display. Just the top half. Hawaii sounds awesome. So glad to have u here.
Afm, I couldn't get any digi with weeks or days so will do the one frrr I have and another cheapie.

Max-what I was starting to say is that it sounds like you had a successful appt! I love her positivity & I agree 100% that you WILL get your precious #3! I conceived both DSs on the 1st try without ever temping & only used digi OPKs for DS1. I think it's the coolest science experiment watching temps, but it does stress me out a little wondering why it hasn't risen or wondering if it'll drop etc. So, I say whichever stresses you out least!! It's wonderful for you to know that Clomid is there as a back up

Kat-I'm not good at holding, so I'd say it was a 2 hr hold with limited liquids. It was around 5ish b/c it was not long before dinner. The cb digi still says pregnant today, so must last a day. Will check again when I get home out of curiosity. Our wondfo's look similar, so I'm sure it'll say pregnant! Did you tell DH yet? You were waiting right? If he sees it in words, he will believe it!!

Nacire yes I would make the switch next temp. You're still early enough that even if you o a week early we'll still have time for several vaginal temps and will be able to clearly see a shift.
So when you temp you only need insert the thermometer enough that the entire head is covered. Best guideline I used was to insert the approx distance from fingertip to middle knuckle. Give it a couple practice runs today. Insert the bbt alongside you middle or index finger so you can gauge where to stop :) As for cleaning I just used to use alcohol wipes (I got mine from our local pharmacy) Just give the head and neck of bbt a good wipe and put aside for the next day.

Press on the link shown and ff will open in your web browser. Copy the web address and then paste into a post in here. You can also copy the link to your signature as well through settings. Maxim I don't know what to say. I was in the same boat as you where my ob told me to ditch the temping and opks. I was to take clomid cd3-7 then dtd eod from cd8-18 (that was based on the fact I had average o of cd14). I could have never done eod like that because of dh's shiftwork, I didn't say that to her though. I kept using opks and temping because I wanted to get our best chances in when it counted. I've been pregnant twice doing charting, opks etc and pregnant twice now after giving up and having one random unprotected bd on what I worked out to be cd12 both times. So for me both ways worked. There was a couple times I would try and try not to temp or use opks then as soon as I seen fertile cm or felt twinges I'd be off to the shop to get opks and begin temping the next morning 😂😂 it definately comes down to whether you feel you can let go of knowing where you're at (I could only do this the two times I gave up ttc, had no desire at all to poa opk or temp)
Maybe compromise with yourself by saying you'll finish this cycle out doing temping and opks but next cycle (if there is one 👎)"you'll give it away?

Pbn3 ugh I know I know my charts look chaotic.. I always wonder if vaginal temping would help that out a bit. I'm positive I had the 3 days of dark OPK. CD18 was possibly the darkest of the 3 days (This is CD18-19 with 19 being slightly darker). I will start taking pics for future reference :)36432

Yep they are definitely positive! So good chance cd17 could have been your first positive.... I'm wondering too if you actually oed cd19/20 but had some open mouth breathing or something happening and didn't pick up the initial rise? In any case let's hope for a clearer result this cycle! You have a couple options here too. You can either go for one attempt at pos opk in the hopes you o within 48 hours of pos opk or you could do e4d until we see a sustained rise, still using opks so we can see what happens this cycle opk/temp wise?.....

Pbn3 - and on that cycle Fertility Friend had me scheduled to O a whole week before and it never came. The week it says I O'd claims it was delayed ovulation. I was having very bad O pains those weeks leading up and even after. Should I use OPK twice a day or only once? I did it last month only once a day in the afternoon time. I'm hoping it becomes clear this cycle, because I did want to start with the one attempt at OPK. I want to try that since it gets good results. I know e4d gets just as good too. I will start that after a couple tries at one attempt. My hubs is scheduled to leave for a week to Korea. He'll leave cd13 and return cd20. I hope I catch it before or when he returns.

If your getting a result like last cycles opks I'd just stick to the once a day. By afternoon do you mean between 1-2?

O pains are unreliable as they can happen before, during or after o. They are only really a back up sign that something is on its way, is happening or has happened and often all three 😂

I think you'll find a really big difference in your temping by doing it vaginally and think its great to give one attempt at pos opk a go! Just to check, your temping in bed when you wake right?

I would get an attempt in the night before or the morning your dh leaves if your opk isn't positive as at least if you o within a few days you have some chance.... he's gone for a week then, so there's no chance of multiple attempts 😉

PBN3 - any birthday presents yet? Great bump!

AFM: Had another temp rise today and thrush went away too. Seems it was hormonal thrush, indicating O (according to google). I'm not sure I'm in with a chance though as our attempt was so far away.
I'm super tried and legs hurt (but that could be from jogging). I get obvious early signs, so I'll keep you posted. I have no pregnancy tests though and won't get any until I have any certain signs.

Iwant4-I meant to add...how crazy about the sneezing! So I did end up telling my mom b/c I tell her just about everything & she's a retired nurse practitioner. I won't tell anyone else until after I know gender around 10 weeks. Anyway, I showed her my tests and she said "do you really need to take a test every day" lol. And my answer was with a laugh..." well of course, I need to see progression" haha. I knew I wanted 1 more and I knew if I got rid of all of my boy clothes that I'd have another boy, so I've kept everything!! ...but my youngest is only 2.

Kat, yes got rid of everything. Literally everything. I thought we were for sure done after DD2. But I'm fine with it, I would be so existed to start with some new gear. Looks like so many things have changed since I had my girls.

DH and I had a heart to heart last night. He realizes that I have my heart set on another baby and he's ok with it. We will keep trying until it happens (hopefully!). We are moving forward with clomid next cycle, if it doesn't happen this month. I feel so relieved not to have a dreaded timeline. My daughters had a dance recital yesterday and a friend brought her 6 month old baby. My girls were all over her and begged DH for a baby (they want a brother lol). It was good for DH to see them with a baby and honestly just confirmed what I've been wanting all along. Will upload a pic shortly of them all together.

Mommy2applea - I m so sorry that your sister is going through this. I pray a lot and I pray for everything [emoji4]because I think that the things we can't control, we always can hope for good by praying. I went to a holy place yesterday with offerings made by me and prayed for everyone. All of us who got a bfp and are trying
to get one and your sister too. This is my way of getting some peace of mind. I felt better after coming home.
I m glad she has u though. You can't do anything about her worrying about things like we all do but knowing that she has you by her side must be so comforting. Hugs.

Mummy2apples I have never heard of this syndrome and it breaks my heart your sister is going through this experience. I am not religious and would feel hypocritical/mocking almost by saying I will pray about something like this but I do believe in the power of positive thinking and am sending a constant ****** of positive thoughts your sisters way. She has a long way to go till birth and having such a wonderful sister as you be by her side and praying for her must be such a comfort for her. Big hugs to you both. I don't know if this is appropriate or not but my sister sent me this quote when I was struggling with everything last year and oddly enough it really helped me mentally get through the rougher days. Shinay I would be at a loss what to do in your shoes too.... on one hand I'd like to believe the idea that the egg doesn't start ageing until its released and would be so tempted to have a go but on the other hand I too would be worried about a potential loss...There just doesn't seem to be enough scientific proof either way.... I have found a forum though that had ladies who oed late and went on to have perfectly normal and healthy pregnancies. I'll post the screenshots I took but if it doesn't 'feel' right or if intuition is telling you to wait then listen to it :) I'm a big believer of listening to your sixth sense!

Pbn: you have put it so well. That is exactly how i feel. Very tempted to try but also very concerned. Thank you for the screenshot, i have searched on some forum as well. And i am not sure if it is just a coincedence, i have seen lots of girl pregnancies with delayed O. It seems like cons outweighs the pros now.

I think this cycle is not meant to be because we have originally planned to start ttc next cycle but since we lost our control so close to O day, so we decided to just ttc earlier. I guess this is a sign that we should stick to our original plan.

Hi ladies!! Back home after a busy day of birthday parties & baby showers!! Finishing up the movie "what to expect when you're expecting" and loving it haha.
Max-that is so wonderful that DH is not giving you a time limit!! I'm sure he didn't realize the pressure that put on you & now you can relax! I continued with temping & OPKs, but my OB essentially said the same thing. He said that he believed that I was just getting myself so worked up & I needed to enjoy the process haha. So sweet that your DDs want a baby bro...I know you want a DD & I believe you will with your girl friendly ways, but at least you are open to a healthy opposite so it will be win-win!

Skyblue - I’m so glad I switched. My cycles have been all over the place for the past 4 or 5 months. I don’t remember having crazy cycles in the past, but I also never ever did temping before to notice. I am still breastfeeding and wonder if that can be why its so wonky. I feel extremely lucky for Pbn3 to be so welcoming and super helpful!

LMSM definately don't skip this cycle!! You poor bugger you must be so exhausted!! It's so easy to feel defeated when your exhausted so just know in a day or two your dh will have recovered from his death bed aka man flu and you'll be able to rest abit and feel ready to go just in time for 3 attempts at pos opk! I'm laid up in bed in soooo much pain I'm actually considering a panadol 😢 I got home and went to get some shopping out of the car and a large tin of dog food has fallen through the bag and straight onto my big toe. Blood started immediately and from the middle so I'm assuming I've split the nail straight through. That would have to be one of it not the most painful injuries I've ever done. It still hurts like hell, but seriosly could've passed out when it happened

Men are worse than kids when they are sick. How long does the recovery take? Men like to change their mind a lot specially on the matter of ttc. I think he may not be feeling too good since he is still in recovery. He may come on board once he is back to his usual self. Hang in there. My dh wasn't on board for trying for the second baby. Can u believe that? He always knew I wanted atleast two. I got so mad that I also didn't say anything for a long time. But I was annoyed that the clock was ticking for the both of us. So one night, I asked him if he wants me to tell him why is it important to have another kid and he agreed. 1 hour of lecture and bam he was in. [emoji849][emoji849][emoji849][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Kat - No, not a good attempt....It was 4 days before O! I wasn't using OPKs though, so I didn't know I had until the temp rise. I was actually just waiting for AF as I had a D&C early in May, so if it happens it was totally unplanned and not swaying at all.

When I was pregnant with my DS3, I got my middle toe broken. I was walking behind my MIL, and she instinctively moved our kitchen chair in to make sure I had room to get behind her. Instead, she placed the chair right on my toe, and as I was in the process of trying to get my foot out of the way, she sat down (she is a rather large woman!!!). She felt SO bad!
