I like those gender wives tales! I got all girl except one boy! :) And I have seen conflicting things on the ring test. One site said back and forth is a girl. Another said boy. So which is it???
My ring always goes back and forth. But it kinda went in a circle then back and forth this time. Weird.
I can't do the pencil test over my wrist as I have had 9 pregnancies not counting chemicals...and I can't hold the pencil up that long. :D

Hi ladies, sorry I've been out of action. Husband's dear grandma passed away and we have been spending time with family. The day we were going to see her and tell her she had another great grandchild on the way she passed away peacefully, hubby was obviously devastated and he was very close to his Nanna.
How is everybody doing? Anyone know any genders yet? I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and still getting on/off thrush (so crappy!) and a very noticeable bump!

lola - I had the same feeling but with my aunt though. She's more like my mother in my eyes and her reply was congrats but I think your crazy! We may be but we wanted another. Our youngest now has a genetic disorder and can't walk alone so I guess to people we do look crazy to have another. Hopefully our brother comes around!

Kat-they said my dd is still Feb 12th! July 18th is for genetic testing at 10 weeks, then an ultrasound at 12 weeks. Is your next appt for genetic testing & is that the soonest they could get you in?

Lola - They do the blood work and ultrasound on the same day for our genetic testing and they want to do it at 12 weeks. Sounds like they let you do blood work sooner at where you go! Honestly July is a busy month so going on the 31st will work well.

And if I find out gender it will be at the 20 week ultrasound not through the early testing unless it's covered and I cave. I just know this is a girl. I just feel the success rate for boy sways haven't been good but girl sways have been great.

Lola I meant to say uuurggghhh!!!! for the comments starting already. I've been thinking for an announcement I'm going to ask both my boys (when I tell them) what they hope baby will be. I'll then get my ds1 to write on either blue or pink paper 'I'm hoping for' for himself and ds2 so it puts the focus on what the boys are hoping for and I can just type underneath 'let's hope mum and dad can deliver' or something like that anyway :) I have friends (that I also work for very casually) and the male friend who knows I lost 3 pregnancies last year still thought it was ok to say to me 'are you still trying because your trying to have a girl' 😐😐😐 ummm no I'm just trying to actually give birth to a baby now, hello 😦 I know he didn't mean it at all maliciously as he has a heart of gold but it was still an inappropriate thing to say! Aww how sweet. I was talking with dh last night about now nervous I am and he really took the pressure off saying he's really in different right now. He will be happy either way with a healthy baby. It just really feels like I would be in a dream if I heard girl at this point and I'm kind of nervous about that also! I'm not really sure where all the twin talk started, but my husband thought I was having twins and I wouldn't let him even joke about it and I think he was a tad disappointed to hear of only one [emoji849]

I really thought it might be an option for Sky bc she got a bfp so early. And Lola would genuinely like girl twins. I'm good with ONE and might not even be able to handle that somedays [emoji23]

I have a friend that is having triplets and took/did NOTHING. It's like a 1/600,000 chance of that and she hit the jackpot. I think that got me a tad concerned too. I know several people that have triplets but they were from fertility treatments/ivf, this friend though, nada!! She has a 2 year old too! That's God though and they will be blessings. But, I'd freak out [emoji854]

That is amazing Kat! My husband's two aunts and uncle are triplets! They were natural! His cousin had a set of boy girl twins the same year we had our four year old, there's a set of quads in there somewhere as well.

Wow Kat & Mommy-natural triplets, that's awesome, but that would scare me haha. Yes, twin girls would have been amazing, but I think DH is relieved there is only 1 lol. I wasn't really expecting twins other than my age on my side there, so I'm happy with a singleton. I will have to get an SUV with a 3rd row anyway so that 3 car seats will fit!! Yes Ash! Mommy2apples - I swear I love my Pilot! It's great on gas and all the kiddos are comfortable! I've had the two youngest home for the past 5 or so years. I'm so sad my little 5 yr old ds is starting kindergarten:sad:I seriously know I'm going to ball my eyes out:sad: I wanted to totally homeschool him, but my dh wants him to experience school (insert eye roll). Doesn't it feel like they just got out for the summer?!! My 5 yr old has orientation on July 31st, and half a day for the week school starts back. He will go all day after that. This process is new to us this school year for him entering Kinder.

It does seem that way, they just got out of school! Aww it's hard your baby is starting school! My four year is going to preschool. He's so shy or other wise I wouldn't even send him [emoji17] I just want him to get over the shyness and make friends! It's only two hours a day, four days a week in the evenings so won't be too bad for him I guess. I think it's crazy how they make the kindergarteners go all day now!! They do that here as well. My husband rolls his eyes if I suggest homeschooling ours also!
Did have nausea this morning, and a dull pain in my back all day. Hoping it isn't af sneaking in! That would be so disappointing! Also still have that yucky taste in my mouth. Had to force my workout tonight.

I guess I will be watching and not tasting:sad: We have a ton of other things planned but I was really looking forward to that.. My cycles temps before this one I conceived on looks different. It's not long, I was going to go private but with being so sick, time seems to have gone quickly!

Being on this site and doing a sway massively made me come to terms with any GD I had when I was pg wth DS.
It's weird I don't think my DH believes (yet!) me but I am happy with either (although I never thought I could think that).
Great you're not finding out, I was very tempted, but figure I can get sorted with all of DS's baby clothes and things as I feel December will be a busy month!
Btw my due date moved a week early which does not fit at all with Ovulation or dtd (I know when my one attempt was!) but U/S tech was adamant. I guess I will be a week late !

CountryMommy-I will have another c-section, but I know that the hospital I'll deliver at is one of the few in my area that will support VBACs. It's a big university/teaching hospital. If you're willing to switch OBs, I'd search around OBs/hospitals that support this.

Country - I talked with my doc about it last time, but due to circumstances at the end of my pregnancy I had a repeat csection. My doc was all for letting me try. I won't even try now that I've had 2 csections - I think that makes it more risky. My 2nd csection was amazing and I hope my third will be the same. First was just hard since it wasn't planned and I labored for 12 hours before.

Country - don't let me discourage you, it's definitely been done before. I think it's called a V2BAC. But, I think it's not as common as a regular VBAC. Since my last one was so good, I just haven't considered it. My doc doesn't recommend more than 3 csections, which we are done after this baby so that's fine. But, if you think you want more kids then definitely seek out a V2BAC!! And I know people that have had 4 csections so it can be done too depending on your situation. I asked my doc if she was nervous about doing a third on me and she flat out said no, not at all!

CountryMommy I wanted to try for a vbac with ds2 as ds1 was also an emergency c-section. As you and Kat mentioned they were chalk and cheese! I couldn't believe how good I felt after ds2 I was ready to go home after 48 hours 😂😂 ds1 though after enduring labour first, now that wasa whole different kettle of fish! My ob was willing to let me try but only if bub was measuring up to 8 pound'ish. Well he was measuring 41 weeks at 37 weeks and my c-section was moved forward because of his size (was 9p8.75ou when delivered) so I had zero chance of vbac. Funnily enough (not in the humurous way) I got bumped back on my morning if c-section due to a failed vbac. I dont think my ob would even entertain the idea at all this time! I know my husband wouldn't. He would get so angry and upset any time I mentioned it with ds2 and couldn't understand why I wanted to. I guess its because after going thru an emergency cs with ds1he never wants to again? But he has no idea the struggle it has been to not experience natural child birth and the emotions you go through when reading about someones successful vbac or v2bac. I did countless hours of research on it and just wanted to try but it wasn't to be 😢 and because the town I'm in isn't huge then you're not exactly spoilt for choice ob wise.... (but I do love my ob!)

I swear it's the comments I dread most!! Pbn you should totally say that. After talking with my DH today we will both find out gender at 20 weeks. He really really wants to know (and is insisting he wants another girl, but I know he's be excited about a boy) and I just feel weird him knowing and me not. We don't really keep secrets. Kat dh and I feel the same with the swaying. I wanted to give it a try because if I didn't I would have always wondered. Kat I think some people will have just one gender regardless of swaying or not. I've seen the 110% sways fail and half arsed ones succeed. I do believe it works for some but those that believe in shettles (that has been scientifically proven wrong on so many levels) could also say the same. There is absolutely nothing wrong with trying to up your chances by swaying and I can honestly say I was definitely in blue territory when I conceived my boys with both diet and attempts. However some of the smaller things eg alcohol, caffeine that I consumed in large quantities 😂 are supposed to sway pink so I'm not so sure the little things matter as much as overall diet. And as I said earlier though, I do think there are some people that swaying or diet/lifestyle will have no affect on 😕 That's exciting you've made the decision to find out 😀 whether through blood work or 20w scan! Cant wait to see your nub shot!!

Ash I think that's how a lot of people feel - the giving it a go because you'll always wonder otherwise. And as for the name, no way can you go with an ex's name no matter from how long ago and the suicide (how sad 😢) would be the nail (I'm NOT going to finish that saying because it will seem like a pun no matter how unintended!)

I have always like the name Lucas but that's an ex's name (who I was madly in love with 😂) from when I was a teenager and he is the only Lucas I have ever known so I automatically think of him whenever I hear or think that name! But funnily enough my ds2 is a Matthew and I have an ex by that name. The funny part is I didn't even remember until I was thinking of boy names I like for a possible 3rd boy when I realised 😂😂

On another note, I tried a curved frer not too long ago for reassurance and the test line was def darker than the control, but the control was still pretty dark. Well that was the dumbest idea I've had in a long time 😢 my test line is darker than control but not by much and my original bfps at 16 or 18dpo'ish were much darker I thought. Pbn3- I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks before my DS2 but didn't know until 12 weeks. I too tested at 12 weeks with my DS2 and panicked. Luckily I had an appointment that day. My OB was so sweet and had a Beta drawn. I can't remember what it was but it was higher than it needed to be despite the way the HPT looked.

I'm sure all is well with your sweet baby! I understand your worry and how it's hard to accept that things might work out afterall. Don't lose hope- because sometimes that is all we are left with, and your sweet baby needs to know that everything WILL be ok [emoji4](even if mama has to fake it until she makes it) [emoji8]❤️

I was talking to a close friend yesterday who did the MaterniT21 test at the same place I go to. She said she got the results back pretty fast yay! have you tried a post partum belly binder with any of yours bluebooties? i tried one for the first time last time with #6 as the afterpains with #5 were so so horrific (days and days of toe-curling agony) i was wiling to do ANYTHING to avoid a repeat!!

i didnt get one specifically for after birth i just got a much cheaper post-surgery abdominal binder and had basically no afterpains :D win!! and i honestly couldnt believe how much flatter my stomach was just from wearing this simple compression wrap, it really really helped with getting it to go down and it also helped me not get a bad back which i always get after delivery. i really feel it helped my "belly recovery" and also the afterpains issue!! xx

mine is called Talarmade, its grey with blue edges, one thing i will say is that the material is quite scratchy which isnt great when your wearing it 23 hours a day! i didnt know if it would be worth it so i didnt want to fork out the extra ££ on the standard bellybandit but seen as i had such good results especially with the dreaded afterpains i am going to get one this time.

from what i can gather for best results the sooner it goes on after delivery the better (i had to lay flat on my back on my bed and cinch it round myself that first time it really wasnt pretty!!) and then it stays on all the time including while you sleep, only comes off for when you bath/shower. they can be pricey but i really think they are worth it xx

Blue I got really into beachbody programs and was the fittest I've ever been and now.... [emoji53] I'm dreading doing it all over again but I've lost it 4 times I know I can do it again. And I'm in shock your talking dreams. I have had one dream it's a boy and just last night had a dream I had a baby girl but I couldn't see her. Like dreams when you want to scream but can't. She was in the nursery at the hospital and I just could get to the nursery to see her!

im not going to lie it is a real squeeze putting it on that first time! you normally cant get it on stood up so have to lie down to do it, i did but the next morning i took it off to shower and could get it back on fine while standing, my stomach had gone down that much in just over 12 hours i really couldnt believe it!
