Xxforhubby that's hilarious 😂😂
I'll save you the suspense and say I'm assuming bub is blue 💙 there's an u/s thread on here that had confusion over girl/boy and her nub was a bright long flat line which looks exactly like what I seen quite a few times in my scan (on a couple occasions the same bright line looked diagonal though) but her potty shot update was clearly boy!! So I'm leaning towards blue now because of this but who am I kidding it could easy go either way and maybe I was looking at cord, a leg bone I couldn't confidently say 😂😂😂
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!! Still hard to believe that I'm actually here and pregnant and past 12w with a healthy bub. Brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it ❤❤❤
Skyblue thank you my dear friend ❤ I am on cloud 9 😁😄
Lola thank you 💗 and cannot wait for your turn to hear results!! Will definately update how the boys react!

Ash-so you could find out for sure this coming up Sat?? Wow, can't wait!!! That would be awesome!!! I sooo know what you mean about all the thoughts going through your head...knowing it's the last chance! I was in a restaurant with my mom & boys today & my mom started a convo with a lady who had her 2 boys there with her (16 months apart). Apparently, my mom told her I was expecting #3. So when I passed by, the lady said "Are you expecting a girl this time?" Haha, I just said "not sure yet, but fingers crossed" 🤞🏻
Nacire-hope you had a wonderful trip! Yay for your upcoming appt! That's soon! Hope you have a great experience with dr #2!
Sky-sounds like the same type of appt I'll have July 18th with the genetic consult & bw! Don't think I'll get an U/S though :( Your appt booker must me a newbie who hasn't been trained how to talk with the pregnant population 🤣 We are already highly emotional. Instead of "if all is well," probably should've been more like "I'll schedule your next appt Friday after I know what your NP recommends." Everything is going to be great! [emoji173]

Pbn - I agree with xxforhubby though. You have no idea how badly I want to know the gender of your baby. [emoji51][emoji51]You are killing me here.[emoji12][emoji12] I am
just so thrilled for you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lolla - Fx that you get your girl. My appointment is on 14th. I m not trying to think a lot about it though like my last one. I love the pregnant population part [emoji23][emoji23]🤣🤣and couldn't agree more. I am glad to be feeling run down because of the nausea. It's kind of a peace that things will be ok. 🤞🤞🤞🤞
When I was standing there for booking the appointment, I couldn't help notice the pictures of her kids at her desk and I thought how can we forget that we were once at this spot. I would never do this to anyone who I know is pregnant. I have cooked food for my pregnant friends because I just feel a lot for anyone who is pregnant. It's not as easy as it looks. My first pregnancy went like a breeze but I know how much I am struggling with this one. Having no family around is not the best thing either at this point. I hate cooking and dh is ok so far but I am not sure how long is he going to be ok with all this. He is helping a lot right now and I hope it stays this way. I don't have any libido and I feel like it may all add up. He isn't saying anything but my mind keeps wondering. [emoji52][emoji52][emoji52][emoji52]

I'm feeling better throughout most of the day. My nausea and exhaustion appear mostly in the evenings now. So I feel like I'm pulling out of it for the most part.
So we told our youngest son first about the gender since he was the one who wanted a girl. He sobbed big flying tears and we had to talk about what the difference really would be regardless of gender. What it came down to for him is that he didn't want another brother to argue with. So obviously a girl wouldn't be any less arguing and after talking through it logically he came to grips. Then we talked about name again and I asked him if he still wanted this little boy to have his middle name as his first and that perked him up. Then we let him tell everyone else and that got him really excited. My oldest is already so thrilled and meeting all our friends at our community pool today was such a positive treat as all their reactions were pure elation at the prospect of our little team of beautiful guys. Makes me emotional just reminiscing.
Now for the extended family. Here's where the comments will come from.

For most people so far we have announced pregnancy along with gender and I do think it has helped a ton! Those I told early on before we knew gender were all in the all boys club or were some of our closest friends/family who we knew wouldn't care anyway.

Congrats Pbn on a healthy baby! I don't know if I could be team green. I'm too anxious!
I decided to check out the Chinese gender calendar, even though I don't believe in it, but I figured wth? First one I checked got 2 out of 3 right with my boys, then predicted boy for this one. [emoji53] I checked another site, wrong for all three (well at least it's telling me what I'm NOT having) so on to this baby, predicted girl. So NOT a girl. [emoji53] I couldn't handle checking another site. Now I'm trying to prepare myself for a 4th boy. I already kinda chose a name too, and I couldn't bring myself to look at girl names. I know this is my last chance to dream girl, but I really don't want to get my hopes up.

Thanks babypink!! And please pay no mind to the gender predictor/calendar things. They will always be 50/50 and complete rubbish xxoo
So I've announced to my some of me and dh family via text with a photo collage of bean and the boys holding paper that says 'I hope baby is a boy'. Already one of dh's family came straight back with 'congratulations. Hoping for a girl?' I replied with 'just happy baby is healthy'

Test is tomorrow, results will be around ten days I think? I never thought to ask but I don't see why they couldn't just not include gender. (Yes, we've been team green every time)
The doctor who gave me the results was talking as if it's a done deal, so I'm not sure this will do anything other than confirm but I'll know for sure I guess.

i think its worth asking them tomorrow 4blue1pink, i dont see why you should have to find out gender (if you dont want too) when it is completely irrelevant to any potential diagnosis.
doctors can be very black and white with these things cant they but nothing is 100% until its confirmed if that makes sense? i hope the wait for the nipt results isnt going to be too stressful or upsetting for you, we are all here for you if you need us xx

Dreaming-love that your oldest is excited now that he knows they'll share the name!! How exciting for him to share the news & wonderful that friends had a positive reaction. I really wanted to wait until I knew gender to share, but didn't happen! However, none of my coworker's know yet, so I'll share gender & pregnancy at the same time in August. I work with at 2 diff schools of wonderful coworker's & excited to share!
Pbn-yay for telling your boys!! You know they'll get excited when baby starts to kick & move!! I really want to know what you're having too, but I also so excited for you to have that exciting moment at birth finding out! That day will be extra amazing. Since you will be happy with either gender, I feel that this is an awesome plan for you to wait [emoji172]
Nacire-I know, it's always nice to sleep in your own bed! So, I was really sick, throwing up, terrible food aversions for 15 weeks with DS1 and barely sick with DS2, but not much of an appetite. So I believe that each pregnancy is different & not related to gender. With that being said, I do have an appetite this time around and even get "hangry." Lol. Salty foods, cookies & cakes sound the best! I would love for the appetite difference to mean something lol, we'll see.... excited for your upcoming appt, hope this week flies by!!
Ash-speaking of appts...can't wait for your appt tomorrow, hope you get a nice tech Fx!!! [emoji4]

Regarding appetite, I agree that it doesn't indicate gender but it's hard to not look into it. I know for me this is the first pregnancy I've had where I'm not raiding my fridge every hour. I hardly have an appetite and when I do eat, it's very little and I don't like the feeling of being full. I'm thinking it's mostly due to swaying before pregnancy and just getting used to the fewer calories, right? Anyone else feeling the same? As of today I'm only 5w5d so maybe there isn't much of an increase yet anyway.

Babypinkno3 - my last 2 pregnancies I was extremely sick and I always dropped weight in the beginning of my pregnancies. I had big food cravings, but couldn’t keep anything down. I couldn’t stomach certain smells like, detergent, soap, lotion, deodorant (only lavender or Tide scent I hated the most). This time around I don’t even feel pregnant. I have zero appetite, and if I do eat it’s only because I know I should. I went to the grocery store on Saturday thinking maybe if I saw things id want it. Well Nope I didn’t come home with anything besides strawberry lemonade, and popsicles. I do feel like swaying before this pregnancy has something to do with it for me. I also remember in my last pregnancy not feeling pregnant and one day the sickness just it me like a ton of bricks. Another thing I was crazy emotional with my boys. I cried at romantic movies, even watching Friends lol but this time I have zero emotion and I feel super relaxed.
Lolabelle - I totally don't think appetite has anything to do with gender either. Just curious sometimes. It's crazy how different pregnancy can be.
4blue1pink - Prayers and BIG (((HUGS))) everything turns out okay..

Babypink & Nacire-it is definitely interesting how different pregnancies can be!! This time, I am raiding the fridge lol, but not with my boys. Hard not to wonder! I was on the LE diet & reallllly limited what I ate, but wasn't ever hungry. Now, it's like I have a hole in my stomach that hurts wanting to be fed...but not everything in sight...particular cravings. And as you asked Sumbal-I've been wanting noodles and tomato sauce, cheesy rice, fresh strawberries, strawberry whole fruit popsicles, strawberry cake, choc chip cookies, pizza, chips & salsa...there is this tangy, green, mild dip (cilantro, citrus) at Moe's that tastes awesome!!! I'm trying to keep control...but I seem to have a thought of something new I want haha! I actually had lost a few lbs at my first appt on June 30th & was surprised! Lol

My first 2 pregnancies were similar lots of 1st trimester MS and food smell aversions.
My 3th pregnancy that ended as a missed miscarriage. I only had back pain and absolutely nothing otherwise. My 4th pregnancy (DD3) absokutely no symptoms and a huge appetite. I gained the most weight in this pregnancy bcoz of HE diet and then just bcoz good appetite in pregnancy.
This pregnancy i just have some odd taste in my mouth and lots of fatigue.

Hey ladies, I hope you're all well?
I'll try to read back and catch up. I'm useless at keeping up and carving out time to check in.
My blood test results have come back with high markers for Down's syndrome so we've booked an NIPT and should have the results in two weeks.
4blue1pink I accidentally hit thanks in this post then like while trying to fix it 😩 I'm sorry to hear your blood test came back with high markers. I hope you are doiig ok. My friend had the same happen and it was a long wait for the NIPT to come back with the all clear. Thinking of you xxoo

Oh Gosh those bloody comments! I know mine are coming but we haven't announced to dh family because we know they will be the ones to make them unfortunately,..all my friends and family are so accepting as long as we're happy. why can't people think before they speak? :p This will be our 5th boy (if it is a boy) and I know people will wish we were having a girl instead. I think there is so much social pressure to have a balanced family nowadays but honestly a happy, healthy baby is all anyone could wish for. Congratulations on your good news I'm glad everything is going well. Isn't it just the best news? So thrilled for you and don't listen if anyone does say anything, just focus on that and that your lovely family will be happy no matter what anyone else says. And how sweet about your boys :)
I also prepared my boys for the boy news, we havedecides to let them chose the name and they are thrilled now X

I'm sorry to hear this. If this was an NHS test result -well they can be wrong as they are non diagnostic. Lots of people go on to have normal results from the nipt tests so I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying all is well for you xxx

Pbn3- I have had about 5 ultrasounds already due to a larger sized subchorionic hematoma. But i havent had one for the 12 week scan. From what they said because the hematoma was getting a little bit smaller each week they are going to wait until 13 weeks I guess for another ultrasound. I hope by then the hematoma will be completely gone but it has been taking forever to heal it seems like. I was diagnosed at 6 weeks with it and it's still not gone according to last ultrasound last week which was at 11 weeks. This has definitely been different. I have never had a hematoma with any of my previous pregnancies. And it has been really scary because they won't even tell me that they think it will be fine they actually wouldn't answer me on if I would possibly lose this baby or not. They just told me we would have to wait and see. Between that and the severe sickness that made me lose about 20 pounds over the past 5-6 weeks it has been really hard to deal with. Although once i started to eat beans it has helped tremendously with the throwing up. I havent thrown up in over a week!☺

Thanks you MOFM!!! And you are so right! As soon as you have one gender people make you feel the very next baby has to be an opposite or you are told you have to be hoping for an opposite. Whether its true or not its just simply inappropriate to comment on but society is also heading towards having no filters 😂
I asked my boys whether they hope baby is a boy or a girl and they both chose boy 💙 The more time goes on the more I'm hoping I hear boy as a boy will fit so well into our family and I love the idea of brothers for life. Me and dh aren't young and I can only hope our children have a strong bond in life and be there for each other when we die. If I had a girl I sometimes wander and worry if she would feel alone being the youngest and the only girl when we pass on 😕 Gah crazy brain 😂😂😂 Here's the pic I sent through to family last night. Its very simple and straightforward 😂 I'll leave it up a couple hours then remove :)

Your heartbeat will be slower and the babies will sound like a galloping horse or a train because it's faster. You should be able to hear at 9-10 weeks depending on where your placenta is. With my last pregnancy I was able to hear it at 8 and a half weeks. This pregnancy was sbout 10 weeks because my placenta is towards the front. I have the same Doppler as ash does by the way. Ash- is this pregnancy different then your pregnancy with your boys? When I was pregnant with my daughter it could have been 90 degrees out and I was so cold I was wearing sweaters in July. People thought I was nuts. With my boys I was always hot all the time. I also had zits with my daughter and none with my boys. I was very sick and emotional with my daughter as well. I am sure every pregnancy is different but if you look back at the boy pregnancies are they different then this one? Also I can't wait to hear what baby might be. Hoping you hear girl or see a girly nub if they won't tell you either way. Hopefully you'll be able to get a picture or a CD. Every ultrasound I have had they have given me a CD, so I have 5 already and they don't seem to mind. I would just ask them for either a CD or a really nice clear picture of the whole baby so you can send it out as an announcement. Plus it's nice to ha 've them for the baby book later. ☺

Momoffourboyz this pregnancy has been night and day with my boys but I have not admitted that to anyone close since I still feel like it could mean nothing. I've been so much sicker. I thought the ms was easing up but the last three days (today being the worst) I have been so so nauseous. I've had zits but not horribly bad. My skin is just off. And the most noticeable difference is I've had such bad aversions to anything sweet. Cake, cookies, ice cream 🤢 blah so gross. But I've been thinking of these differences and remembering when I was ttc and having "symptoms" in the tww only to have af arrive

Hi ladies I thought I would touch base and check in!
Congrats to all those who have had recent bfps - it's been a while since I've been on and soo many pages I haven't had a chance to read through - will try do so tomorrow
Had a private gender scan today at 15+4 and we are having another girl... I'm so happy baby is ok but admit I've shed a few tears over not hearing boy and also guilt at feeling this way... we've been getting the gender comments since we announced ie no chance it will be a boy and I think part of me was hoping to prove them wrong but alas.. I think it's made worse by those who make the comments aim them at me as if it's my fault it's not a boy... anyway don't want to dampen this thread any more..
Looking forward to seeing some more baby scans and have my fingers crossed everyone else gets their dg [emoji4]

Boywish-congrats on another healthy girl! [emoji175]These are the same feelings I've been struggling with wondering if I'll have another boy. I know I'd feel the same way shedding some tears, then feeling guilty. It's completely natural! I also feel that strong need to prove the naysayers wrong! I've only told close family/friends, but have had many comments like "bet money on it it's another boy." Ughhh. Comments are the worst! A few years ago, one of my coworkers found out she was having her 3rd girl and was so upset. She now says that she wouldn't have it any other way, they are her girl team & have so much fun together! The important thing is, you have a healthy baby girl on the way who will LOVE her momma [emoji175]

Ah boywish. Your feelings are totally valid. I too wanted to prove 'em wrong. It does feel like failure when those comments come up. Just know that you have girls but some others have just boys and those who have just one of each may not have the same type of bond as our babies and some just may. It doesn't matter logically. Emotionally it's tough to reconcile. I hope you find that you can always come back here and be surrounded by those who understand you completely. We're in your boat!

love the teddy's so cute! have you seen the crochet octopuses they now give to preemies in some special care units? they have them in their plastic cots with them :) apparently newborns love the octopuses legs as they feel similar to their cord <3 so they can hold the legs and feel more secure. if this lady does custom orders im going to step outside the box and suggest an octopus :D (i know it sounds ridiculous and very un-babyish but they are sooo cute and the babies do really seem to be comforted by them) i will try and find a link or some pics to post to show you what i mean as im well aware how crazy this suggestion probably sounds!!

Oh. My. God 😍😍😍 love them!! Especially the bub holding a tentacle in each tiny hand ❤❤ I have to admit 'choking hazard' crossed my mind (not for premmie because their movements are so small but for term babies who do move alot ) but they obviously cant be! Just me and my paranoia in full swing 😆

yes the one with the orange octopus <3 no i dont think they can be a choke hazard as the little ones take their octopus home with them when they are discharged and ive seen articles where they are still very attached to it at several months old :) i dont think the idea would have even got off the ground if it was a danger

Scan went well baby did not cooperate (thank you OJ) so it took her a little bit longer hehe!! I was talking to her about gender and she was super nice wondering "who in the world could give an accurate guess at 14 weeks but she said well I'll look if you really want me to take a guess at it boys I can usually tell but girls can be late bloomers" and I said YES GUESS... she said if I were to take a stab at it I'd say GIRL!!!! Also, I loved the pics of your boys and the announcement. They are sooooo adorable. Tell me if I am wrong but I thought the little one looks more like you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

so exciting ash :D gorgeous baby too <3 how many weeks are you now?
i dont want to rain on the parade here but there is a thread on here with an 18 week confirmed boy that had very visable "3 white lines" at i believe 14/15 weeks. the nub that you saw will be a much better indicator than potty shot right now :) please dont pin your hopes on a potty shot this early.
im sorry if im coming off as mean ash i dont intend too, i am genuinely excited for you :D and as a mum of 4 boys who had a girl on #5 i know what its like to be in your current position and i so so want this to happen for you <3
ive just seen so many people on here get techs who've done potty shots as early as 11/12 weeks claiming they are 90+% sure and they have bin wrong causing lots of stress and in some cases absolute despair :( i hate seeing people get so hurt when the US techs shouldnt even be guessing off potty shots at that gestation.
it sounds like your tech was going off the nub though which is GOOD :D and my fingers are crossed so hard for you to hear girl on the 22nd xx

4blue2pink-I missed the octopus! How are adorable! I have a nautical theme in DS2's room now. If it's a boy-I'll move DS2 in with DS1 & keep it a nautical nursery with maybe a few new touches. If it's a girl, I'm thinking I may make it a girlie nautical room with adding touches of teal & pink to the navy that's already there! So anyway, my point is....that octopus is adorbs...I may have to find one haha!!
Sky-so glad to hear you had a good day! Hope you're about to turn the corner & start feeling more good than bad [emoji173]I've been feeling just blah-that hungover feeling like I've been out partying all hours of the night. No throwing up or nausea, just the occasional queasiness. I haven't had the energy to do anything really, but I'll get these bursts of energy where I'll get the household chores done. We went out to dinner with the boys yesterday & they behaved really well, food was great...watched Storks when we got home. Great day besides feeling blah! Thanks for asking [emoji173]

Ok so this is my story if you guys don't already know.
I'm currently 19 weeks and I had a nipt test done at 11 weeks sonographer said girl ( she would bet money on it) blood test said boy...to cut a long story short I made a complaint and after going back and fourth about getting a partial refund they agreed to to the blood test part of the test (only ) again.
Got the results today and they came back as girl! I'm wondering if they are just saying this to keep me happy as the original sonographer seemed so sure it was a girl by a nub or whatever she was looking at at the time. I've heard all nubs look the same. My issue is I completely believed that this baby was a girl up until I was told I was a boy - but did question it as the pregnancy was completely different but we have all just got really used to the idea of having another boy and not allowing social pressure bring us down with the whole " I hope you have a girl this time" rubbish. I live my boys to the moon and back and quite like the idea that when hubby and I have gone to the stars they will all be a really close team. Anyway my 20 wk untrasound is booked for next Monday so I will be able to get a clearer picture then. Just wanted to know has anyone had false results on a nipt test? Super confused right now! Tia x

Ash- Eek! Sounds super promising you have a girlie in there! I would be cautiously optimistic and try and keep an open mind until your gender scan. That's what we did. I ended up being offered an NIPT test and found out before my gender scan. That being said, the sonographer was super confident in her guess. My baby's nub was completely parallel to the spine. My scan was done at 12w5d and baby measured 13w2d.

Lola- that was such a wonderful article and so very true. Those are all the things I want to teach my daughter and my boys. The main thing is we need to treat our childrern like treasures because that is what they truly are, and not because of how they look or what they wear but because of who God made them to be on the inside, their character.
Ash- I think you have a pretty good shot at a girl. I still wouldn't buy anything until you get it confirmed in a couple weeks though because it will be way more accurate then. Fx that it stays looking like a girl!

I bought girl stuff from my second pregnancy on hoping for a girl at some point. Eventually I stopped because I was starting to lose hope but I am glad I had all those clothes because they did come in handy and I always bought them on clearance so my hubby never complained. And he was actually happy that the cost of clothing wasn't so much when we finally had our daughter. I know what you mean though it's so hard not to buy this adorable stuff. And honestly I really think you are having a girl this time anyway. I have guessed for a lot of people in the past and was almost always correct. My husband's sister was certain she was having a boy again for her last child asnd I just kept telling her nope this one is your girl and it was her girl.

Thank you for your response :)
It is the verifi nipt test. I was 18 weeks when I had it most recently and just assumed it would come back as boy again. All the chromosomal part of the test came back as normal (same as first test) so I'm delighted about that. I've now heard they are reliable for chromosomal markers ect but not so much for the gender but that's only if it's done too early or there is a vanishing twin not picked up. Because I was so far is anyone's guess if there was a vanishing twin or not this was mentioned along with the fact that my miscarriage was a month before this pregnancy but should have been clear of this by 11wks when I had the first test. Surely they would have checked for any sign of a vanishing twin on the first test as I had an ultrasound?? Fingers crossed all is normal and ok next week..just really hoping for a healthy baby as there has been endless problems with this pregnancy...doctor couldn't find a heart beat at 16 weeks so gave me a quick scan to check..all was ok but even looking at that pic it looks like a boy

And I have bought all my girly stuff of sale at a friends boutique, it's all final sale which stinks lol but someone will want it or I'll just slowly pass it out at showers.
Mofm I'm sorry I have no experience here [emoji53] but that would be super frustrating.
4blue2pink I ever had a potty shot this early with my boys only earliest was 14w4d and it was clearly boys both times. Yes pbn 11 days time. I actually feel calmer now knowing if I'd pushed dh to get me a scan this weekend it'd not be as accurate as if I waited till next. And since she looked and took her best guess I wouldn't think much would change in 4 days time but in 11days it should be clear to see.

So Ash just to clarify, we confirm gender next weekend? So 10/11 days time?? I have butterflies just thinking about it 😮 I cannot imagine how you must be feeling!!
MOFM how on earth does that happen?😠😠 I hope Monday comes around very quickly so you have your proper solid answer. The u/s place should be doing your next scan for free! I don't feel there's anything you can do now but wait, all they're going to do is offer useless scenarios as to how it 'could' happen and excuses for their mistakes (whichever one/s is the mistake)

Tia x
I am so happy that the baby is healthy. ❤️❤️❤️
However I can only imagine your frustration about the test results. I have heard about techs being wrong early on in the pregnancy but never thought that the tests could be wrong at this point. I hope Monday comes soon and you know for sure. This is my biggest fear that's why I want to stay team green because I know I won't completely believe them until the baby will be in my arms and I see it myself. Counting down
to your scan. Really hope u hear what you want. 🤞🤞

Glad you had a nice dinner with boys being so nice. And We love watching Storks too.[emoji4]
Sorry you are feeling low on energy. I was the same over the weekend and slept a lot. I havebn catching up on my cleaning since felt better yesterday. Today isn't too bad either so far. 🤞🤞
Hope it stays this way now. Is your test on July 18th? Hope we all start feeling better soon. [emoji4]❤️

Ash, how exciting to hear possibly girl! I really hope you get your girl, but I too would be cautiously optimistic with their guess. I had a girl guess at 13 weeks with DS2 where the tech took time to look and said "I don't see any boy parts". Then that same exact day I booked an elective scan where we clearly saw boy parts! I think the tech really has to know what they're searching for. That being said, I do believe you're getting your girl too. Are you SURE you don't want to scan again in 4 days???

MOFM I can't believe this has happened to you. It's rare but I have heard stories. Especially if the blood test came back boy first. Usually if it's a false reading it will come back girl because there has to be a Y chromosome floating around in there for it even to show up boy. Unless you had a vanishing twin which is also quite rare and now fairly easily to detect with early ultrasounds.
That said, what brand Nipt was it? I had the Panorama by Natera that is supposed to be 99.9% accurate. I've heard plenty of others aren't as accurate. Just curious and so sorry for this back and forth. That's got to be frustrating.

I've never tried any gender tests and I wish I had too in order to compare. The only one I did was the Intelligender test with DS3 and it was right. I actually did 2 of those tests because I had doubts about the first test so Intelligender sent me a free one to test again but got the same (boy) result. I'm tempted to try it again this time but I'm not sure I want to give up my ignorant bliss.

Lolabelle - I actually just came across the ring hair test a day or so ago. I watch so many YouTube videos and couldn't help but give it a try. I swear I did it at least 50 times since I found out, and every time it says Boy, Boy, Boy, Girl, and nothing after. The ring literally stops ( My husband said it better stop after this one ). I even made a video just so I have it as proof for when I find out. I also did the ring over my belly at least 50 times and it says Girl. It's crazy how the ring is completely still and somehow picks up momentum on it's own. Freaky much! I don't want to get my hopes high, but I can't help but be hopeful:fx:

Ash - everything crossed this is your girl.
MOFM - how frustrating! I can't believe they're leaving you with such an unknown since they've gone both ways now.
Lolabelle - the blood draw went well. Unfortunately I couldn't insist about no gender results because it was my doctor not theirs so he had no sway but he did include a note saying that I'd prefer not to know.
I'm not going to lie, I can't help but wonder if this is somehow karma for wishing for gender rather than just wishing for a healthy baby. But overall I'm actually okay with the idea of baby having down's. I'm more concerned with potential heart issues.
They're going to look hard for any soft markers of downs during my scan and I should have the results in a couple of weeks.
It's funny really, I haven't had any dreams of gender at all but now all my dreams include the baby having Down's syndrome.
Ack, I'm waffling. Sorry. I'm trying not to talk about it elsewhere after a friend told me I was over reacting and that a 1-5 chance wasn't a big deal. (I'd simply said that I was feeling stunned and shell shocked!) needless to say, she's no longer a friend. easy to say when it's not *your* baby and your odds isn't it? Sigh.

I don't think you are over reacting by being worried for your baby. I also don't think that you wanting a certain gender in any way has caused you karma that way. Sometimes things just happen and there is no real reason that we can figure out why it happened. So please dont blame yourself. I am praying for you and your baby that all turns out well for you.

4blue1pink- I second everything MOFBs said. We all have desires for a gender but at the same time we keep praying for the baby to be healthy irrespective of the fact that we say it a or not. Please don't blame yourself at all. It's natural to be worried about your baby.I cried before my anatomy scan with my first because I was so worried. The emotions were so strong that I couldn't help and was a total mess. I m sorry about your friend being so rude. People just don't know when to quit being ruthless.
We are here for you and praying so so hard for the baby. Don't stress much. My friend gave birth recently and she was in the same situation but further tests came bk negative for any disorder. Hang in there my friend. U can always share your feelings here. Hugs.

It's a very big life changing deal. So you have had the draw for NIPT today and your scan is on Monday? Hope they are quicker with the results than a couple weeks. Blood draw was yesterday afternoon, scan is Saturday afternoon.
I don't feel like I'm overreacting. I'm not devastated or acting like its the worst thing ever, because it's not. I'm just.. stunned. I didn't expect it so I feel a bit blindsided.
In fairness, said 'friend' has always been very narcissistic and dismissive of any issues that aren't her own, but it's always been easy to ignore it until now. She has very few friends (for obvious reasons) so I always felt a bit sorry for her, I expect she'll feel the loss of the friendship more than I.
Anyway, as if to ease my mind, baby is fluttering around in there like crazy which puts everything into perspective.

Please don't feel bad for wanting a certain gender. Everyone does to some extent whether they admit it or not. And of course we all want a healthy baby at the end but we are only human right? I believe it's completely unrelated and what ever is meant to be will be reagardless of our wishes and desires in life. I think try and wait for the results to come back first, then see how they may or may not impact your life. Just know that whatever the situation you will always have support and can come on here and talk about it as often as you need until it's clear enough to you xxx

If anyone is interested and shops on amazon they have diapers on sale. If you subscribe and save you get up to 20% off plus they have a $2 coupon. They end up being like $13.50 for the gigantic pack of luvs which has 242 diapers in size 1. They are only 5 cents per diaper that way. Then after you receive the first pack you can cancel the rest because the coupon only applies to the first delivery. Don't know if anyone else is into coupons and getting the best deals but that's what I always try to do. They a lso hasve huggies on sale to but wasnt as good of a deal. Anyway hopefully that's helpful to someone.☺
And Kat I agree that the constipation thing is really irritating, I tried all those things I mentioned above and they seemed to help.☺

There seems to be quite a few stories of inaccuracy with that one. I'm so sorry you have to experience this uncertainty.

Momoffour i am very savy too and DH even more so ... have u tried the parents choice line of diapers. They r walmart specific line. I have used them for my last 2 and last time by my calculation they were a tad cheaper than luvs.
But i will give this amazon deal a try

Haha dreaming-well guess it's really just an old wives tale then!! Wishful thinking on my part!! The Chinese calendar has always been wrong for me.
Ash-here's hoping the ring test is right for us, even if it is just a coincidence! [emoji175][emoji12]
Kat-lol! Being preggo messes up my intestines too haha, but I have the opposite issue-isn't that weird? Have you ever heard of FiberCon-you can get it over the counter at CVS or I'm sure many other pharmacy's. I went to a gastro when I was having issues when pregnant with DS2 & that's what she recommended along with fiber rich foods. It's not harsh like laxatives and even though I wasn't constipated, it helped me! It's bulk forming... just an idea worth checking out.

The ring test was right for 2 of my kids. I haven't tried it yet for this one because it's been 50/50. I did try the baking soda test this time and said girl. Guess time will tell! Found this fun site too. Said girl as well for both ultrasounds (7 weeks and 11 weeks)

Ash and Lolabelle - I have 3 boys and was swaying for a girl this time around. I have noticed there are many variations of this test with some similarities and many differences. The one I did a zillion and one times has been accurate for me. The one I did I watched a million videos of before doing it, because I found it very hard to believe, and I was very skeptical over it..
This is the one I did......Hair And Ring Baby Test
Supposedly, the test would tell them how many kids they'd have, what genders they would be, and the order they would have them in. For the test, they took a strand of their own hair and tied one of rings you wear to it. Then, outlined each one of their fingers on their left hand( Left to right, and right to left). and then held it directly above the top of their hand. If the ring moved around in a circular motion, that meant they were having a boy. It if moved in a back and forth motion, that meant they would have a girl. You would repeat the same routine until the ring completely stopped moving. When it stopped moving, that meant you were done with having kids.

We usually use parents choice and sometimes the hyvee brand when they have a good deal plus a great cents off per gallon deal with them to. I try to be savy when we have 5 kids with our 6th on the way. I know my husband sure appreciates it. Anyway if you can fiind internet coupons for luvs diapers you can combine those to with the subscribe and save deal to and save on each size. I did this with baby food and puffs and other foods and things with my last baby it saved alot of money. In the store those pouches of baby food are like $1 or more for the organic kind but on Amazon I could get Earths best abd some other jarred baby food brands for as little as 50 cents each or sometimes less with the deals they have.and if you buy formula in bulk on amazon and use coupons that is a lot cheaper than the store as well.

Amazon is a great place to shop most of the time. It's very rare that I find anyone else beat their prices. I got some good deals yesterday as well. They are always cheaper than walmart on nintendo 3ds gasmes which my kids think they have to have as new one every week. They wanted the steam game at walmart it was $40. I checked amazon $8.94! Way cheaper!!
