Mommy you think we should attempt today, on the 2nd day of flashing smiley? I'm still trying to do just one attempt at +opk this cycle since we're still only on cycle #2.... But before we started trying it seemed like I always ovulated around day 12/13/14, but last cycle threw me for a loop when I got a +opk on day 10, followed by multiple - opks for several days after, and no real temp shift until day 13 (I think). Our attempt was on CD11 but I think we may have missed the egg by that point. AF came a day earlier than normal - which is rare and whenever it happens always freaks me out a bit since my cycles are already so short to begin with (24 days)!! So I'm feeling more insecure this cycle about when I'll actually ovulate and I don't want to miss it again!

Yes I do! Then if you get a stay put smiley finally and it's on the third day have another attempt. Atomic usually says the attempt should cover for the first two days!

Mommy2apples - Which ever way you go I will be cheering you on. I don’t know if you remember my chart, but my temp drop 2 days in a row before I got my BFP. I did get a couple super faint squinters those days it dropped, but I didn’t share those.. Maybe Friday will surprise you and you will be pleasantly surprised after all :) I miss you too Mommy!! Thank you for always asking about my pregnancy:bigsmile:Pregnancy for me is going pretty good. For the most part I feel normal. I have my moments I get nauseous after eating. My blood work is coming up in a few weeks, and the reality is hitting hard:nails: My kids start school this coming week, and hubs leaves back to Korea for the last 3 weeks of August. Mommy2apples - I think people in the group more so kept telling me sorry and it wasn't my month. I was super hopeful, because my body started changing after ovulation. I just had orientation for my Ds2 for kindergarten, and it said Aloha Class of 2030:sad: I think that's what made all this real. He's been my best friend for 5 yrs, and now I have to let him go. He was the smallest one in the whole group of kiddos. He is also extremely shy, but once you get him going he will talk your ear off lol.. I bet your son will love getting out the house, and making friends. Here in Hawaii they don't offer free PreK unless your child is special needs. My son didn't get that year of preparing for kindergarten. My hubs will be gone for the last 3 weeks of August.

Aww that is sad Naci! It's hard when your babies are growing up! Logan is going to be an 8th grader and ash is a 3rd grader. I just wish they were all babies again! They'll always be my babies, but would love them being little again!!

For a FS he would need a referral from either hospital Dr or his gp which will take forever as well. Gosh that is a while away babybeaublue [emoji46] but hopefully there will be an easy fix...

Happylea there's plenty of sways on here that involve just one attempt so have faith that it can happen! It may take a few cycles but you have every chance. You're not doing j&d or using non sperm friendly lube are you? Now that would really lower your odds [emoji4] What hpts are you using? And yes it's way early for testing but we've all jumped the gun before! 8dpo (which your likely to tomorrow) is still really early for a bfp, they do happen but more often than not 9dpo onwards is when the real testing starts. Implantation generally takes place between 6-10dpo (sometimes even later) then it takes a further 2-3 to create enough hcg to register on a hpt.

Pbn just read a few things online and apparently there are a some guys saying you can't get hcg on the nhs:( It's what is supposed to be used along with TRT to keep the man fertile. We can't afford to go private it's about £200 for a consultation alone! Will have to find another way :wink:

I'm actually going to not do opks this cycle and see how it goes. I may do one more month of temping. If and when god wants it to happen he will. Going to do the e3d and work on getting my weight steadied.
Yes this was a clomid cycle. Have had three cycles of clomid so far. Two cycles of 50 and one cycle of 100.
I go back to the ob the 15th so will explain to her that clomid is causing me not to even be able to get positives now, but that I know I am, because it's showing me on my temping chart I am when the opks will get as dark as they are going to get or have the flashing smiley that never switches to stay put smiley. Then I'll see where she wants to go from there. My af always comes on time so I guess that means I'm still ovulating? I'm 32.

Hmmmm that's a tough one mommy [emoji848] maybe if you plan on keeping it simple and easy next cycle (as in no opks and sticking to e3d) then it would be a chance to have a non medicated cycle? I'd maybe even consider ditching temping as well but understand it can act as a comfort to know where you're at [emoji53] Guess I'm thinking about my bfp cycle, first cycle after three clomid cycles, not trying so not using opks or temping.... worked for me miraculously (still dont know how) so maybe its a chance to try a not try not prevent cycle. I'd even consider just bding when you feel like it too and ditch e3d if it starts feeling to forced? Cant hurt to try a super laid back cycle? You have some time to think it over in any case [emoji173]

Yes my anxiety is already building [emoji50][emoji50] til the first u/s, then the 12 wk scan then anatomy scan... then waiting for birth [emoji23] and this is our last one so its all bittersweet. Plus me and my best friend get to have our last babies together so thats pretty cool.

I had a gender ultrasound with ds5. I was so sure he was our girl but im so glad he is not. I won't be having one this time just waiting til anatomy scan to find out i think. Unless i have 2 cooking then id likely get the blood test.

DH officially knows even though he predicted it [emoji23] im holding off telling everyone else including our boys til we know the gender.

i now need to sit down and work out times to get to ultrasounds and drs appmnt. The process in hopefully getting the new car is underway and will be much better for my boys as they will all be tall so i need all the leg room i can get.

Sorry, Mommy! :( I think you have a good plan though to have a more relaxed attempt next cycle. I may join you on that if this isn't my cycle! :) I can already tell I'm much more stressed out about getting pg this time around - w/ the one attempt, OPKs, temping - than I was with my two boys. I didn't do OPKs with them, did temping to confirm O but wasn't stressed about it, just had our relaxed attempts & we got pregnant w/ both on the first shot! Definitely think there's something to the idea that being more relaxed and "letting it happen" is more effective in actually getting pregnant!!

Ok so after getting third straight day of flashing smiley on the dual opk's this morning I tried another regular opk at 1 pm today & got this. I know this is technically a negative but given there's a line I'm hoping O is coming soon. Last cycle I never got a super dark line and after it appeared my LH surge was over & I was still testing, I was getting NO line at all. We went ahead and BD-ed right away after this test (DH works from home so he took a little late lunch break haha!! I'm sure he preferred the BD over food anyways!!) Speaking of elavated hips I've put my legs up against the wall so I was almost vertical then would swap to shoulders and knees (like hands and knees only I'd be faceplanting the bed so I was on as much a lean as possible) [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] elevating with a couple pillows is far more comfortable!!! The flipping over was to make sure all the water went down the drain so to speak [emoji6][emoji23]

Well I did a test this morning again and got a bfn...no surprise really. I have decided I hate the IC that I have though as they have little dints on some of the strips and sometimes I think I see a squinter but it's not it's a stupid dint. I did start with a sore left boob yesterday but that's not uncommon for me as when af is due I always get a sore left boob...i think my leftie is alot sensative than rightie as it my right boob hardly ever gets sore...lol!

I would have an attempt tonight. If you want to compromise, have one tomorrow morning if you can swing it. Remember, ovulation happens 12-48 hours and is usually 24-36 hours from positive opk. Thursday's attempt is not very likely to be viable.

Alright, I don't normally drink either. Just on occasion. More so since I've started swaying. I drink the days of our attempts usually. Since I'm going to be doing the e3d that'll be a lot of drinking so may only still make it twice a week... was wondering if it would be okay at bedtime as we are always busy even after dinner.

Mommy - I have decided I hate the tests I have as I can't tell if they are squinters or not...think I have line eyes atm!!!

Well last night I couldn't get through the night without going for a pee, so at 3.30am I decided it would be a great idea to poas. I was still half asleep so couldn't see it properly so left it on bedside table with my others anyway I must have flapped my covers through the night and knocked them all off so don't know which one was last night (just a normal day in the life of me) :rofl:

Anyway the one we think it was we can see a line in it but we now think it's the dinted line and not a light positive :(

I couldn't find the other test I thought I had so a trip to the shops is required but we have been busy building a park for the boys so haven't been out. Today will be another day finishing the park and waiting in for a quote from a builder.

I spent £30 on Boots own brand and never got a positive once! After reading some reviews it seems I'm not the only one either.

Babybeablue - hope you find a good OPK that works for you, I had IC ones and was thinking I was never going to get a +version but I did. They did stress me out a little tho abit like the IC pregnancy tests that seem to have lines and then don't...lol! It's gutting when you spend lots of money and they don't seem to work :(

Im 10dpo today I think and I got bpf with DS4 at 10dpo so not getting my hopes up for this month. But yes still early, it's a weird one for me also it's first month since coil removal so thinking if I have a normal lp my after should be due around the 9th or 10th.

Also, with opks, holding your pee for 4 hours?!?? I mean after 5 kids I'm lucky I can wait an hour! I have to basically dehydrate myself alllll morning to get to 2pm test time. It's awful esp as I workout in the mornings. I have like 2 sips of water all day and pee at about 10am to get me to 2. I hate it. I'm due to test at the end of this week but cd14 is my anniversary so I think not! I'm not spending the day choking on food cos I can't drink and then looking for a toilet to test in!!!
I'm going to skip ttc this month anyway. No point with Dh on the trt. I doubt it would work. :(

Babybeaublue 2-3 hour hold is ample and only restrict fluids for that long before you test. But agree it's an absolute pain. Another reason I loved the cb dual hormone digi, using fmu!!

Babybeablue - you literally made me lol, I totally agree tho after 5 kids holding your pee is an absolute pain in the bum. I must admit when I was close to Ov I admit I was out for the day when I was due to test so took a pot and a test with me...anyone would think I was crazy if they saw me in restaurant toilets :oops::bigsmile:

Pbn - those clear blue sound much easier with fmu, I like idea of that...i have only ever used IC ones and find them annoying so may look into the CB one.

Currently filling the park area with chip bark, seems to be taking forever and still waiting for the builder to turn up...hoping to get to shop at some point before they close to hopefully get a frer :worry:

Honestly I only need to look at a drink and I need to pee! We go to the beach and an hour later it's " lets go mummy needs a wee" :( I do drink a lot tho so I try to limit it if I know we are going somewhere.
Pbn- I'm always worried a 4 hour hold will lead to a uti so 2- 3 hrs would be a lot better!
Happy- shops don't close til about 5pm tho right? Surely he will have been by then? I hate waiting in on anyone. Drives me mad!

Babybeaublue - I don’t usually hold for 4 hours. I usually do 2 hours & just try not to drink during that 2 hours. That said, I'm having a hard time getting clearly positive OPKs so who knows!! I don't think that's why though cuz the pee usually looks pretty concentrated when I test! But I just don't think it's great on the urinary system to not drink & hold pee for 4 hours at a time - especially if testing more than once a day!

We got another attempt in late last night. Didn't see a temp shift this morning so looks like no O yesterday. Hoping it's today. If I ovulate today I'll feel better about having 2 attempts at O-3 and O-1, since the O-3 probably wouldn't have much if any viable sperm left.

And today is our anniversary and we BD-ed after midnight so maybe it's our lucky day haha!!

My normal pre-O temps are usually around 97.3. It was 97.32 this morning - although I took it a little bit earlier than normal (about 45 min-1 hour) b/c my son woke me up! I got my solid smiley on the advanced OPK on Saturday morning. Last cycle I didn't see a real shift until the 4th day after my +OPK. So confused!!! :(

ABC- I'm thinking you're body is like mine and ovulates 48-60 hours after the first positive opk. I would continue to BD either E3D or E4D to make sure you are within a viable attempt. I would have an attempt the earliest tomorrow morning or night. If you want to be more pink friendly, then the morning after.

Taking your temp 45min earlier or later is a tad less than ideal but not to the extent that it would not show a temp rise.

Only this time. With my other 3 kids, I noticed a temp shift 36-48 hours after my first positive opk. I think this time breastfeeding such a little one caused my ovulation to be delayed. Plus, I also had elevated prolactin levels. Once that was resolved, my ovulation was restored to normal.

Hmm. Do you think it's something I should be worried about, or get checked if it keeps happening? I'm definitely not breastfeeding so that's not the cause. Last cycle my temp shift occurred on day 14, so O maybe on day 13, which is pretty consistent with when I was O-ing when I get PG with my 2 boys. I didn't really use OPKs with them though (was just temping). My cycle length hasn't changed much either from my 1st two pregnancies - maybe a day or two shorter but that's all.

No. It could just be a one off thing. One thing is for certain though, and that's swaying does cause changes to our cycle. This is why it is important/crucial to keep BDing well past when we believe we may have ovulated (i.e. E3D or E4D).

Yes I think some can deffo get your hopes up and and then your hopes just get shattered when AF arrives. I used an acutest early sign test the other morning and the control panel on that was shocking. I ripped it open and though there was a squinter but then I read reviews on those tests and they weren't very good at all.

I think I will just wait and see if AF arrives which I'm going off positive opk and a normal lp phase should be in around 2-3 days but this is 1st cycle since coil removed so who knows???!!!

What are your thoughts on getting a very dark Wondfo OPK line (left) 7 dpo? Is that any correlation to getting a BFP in a few days or no??? I've been TTC for a year and don't want to get my hopes up! But when I've randomly taken a LH test is is usually super light at this point... On a side not I got a very faint line on an HCG with a babydust method strip.. however I have gotten false positives with these before so I'm not really relying on that! I would post pics but they are on my phone not sure how to get them on here

I can see the test. That is quite dark opk for 7dpo. The HPT looks to be a faulty test. The line does not look right. FXd for you that this is your month!!! Do you have a chart? Are you positive on dpo?

yes i agree.. I hate faulty tests!! I don't chart temps.. However by tests and feel i am pretty sure I ovulated last Tuesday night.. started last Sunday with a blinking then positive smiley Monday thru Wed morning.. My boobs are sore which I never have prior to AF so I'm not sure if I'm just over feeling everything or what :think:

I can see them, I'm on Tapatalk. Agree with Shann that's a dark opk for 7dpo but opks are not good at using for hpts as you will get a pos hpt before you see a pos opk from being pregnant. I'd definately go and buy anither brand hpt to use with fmu tomorrow :)

Abc yay for temp rise!!! And a 2-o attempt is excellant timing [emoji3] don't forget sperm need 6-12 hours to capacitate in order to be able to penetrate the egg. Oing 2nd day after pos opk is normal. The guideline is between 12-48 hours after sometimes longer. Most on average o day after but many do 2 days after :) Does not mean you'll o two days after next cycle though so I'd still be getting an attempt in at pos opk rahter than holding off to the following day but up to you :) Anyway you won't have to worry about it after getting your bfp this cycle [emoji6]

Mummy2boys good to hear from you! Sure hope dh gets lazy with the pull out or maybe you can change it around to be on top and see if that stops him from pulling out?

Mommy2apples how are you going! Will you be marking bds on your chart or are you going into this cycle completely blind? Was going to suggest taking the odd temp here and there just for clarification that you've reached post o temps when you get there?

Aww and it worked great for you! Was kind of going to do the ntnp route this month and see where that lands me! Also going to see what the ob says about my never positive opks next Tuesday.
Thought I was completely mucking up the protein and fat on le diet but since I've been recording it the last few days I've been doing pretty good. Staying away from meat if I can help it!
So need to stop stressing about that now that I know I was doing good with it anyways.
