Ash-wouldn't they be real contractions if you're getting shots for them? I thought BH weren't anything but "fake contractions."
XXforhubby-I didn't have BH with my 2nd and they started in my last month with my first so I didn't have many. I was induced overdue both times so this is definitely new for me. I get them randomly so there's no pattern for it for me. At least once or twice a week for the past few weeks. I get them at home, at work, doing nothing but sitting, after sex, walking, just because.
kat1234-same here I didn't even get any with my 2nd kid and was induced with both kids so I'm at a loss as to why my body would be "practicing" for something I'll need medical intervention for in the end. It seems rather pointless and annoying lol.
Pbn-I also enjoy my belly and am constantly poking it lol. I'm waiting for a poke back!
Maxibella-google is not your friend lol. I miscarried my previous pregnancy so I kept googling "odds of miscarrying at __ weeks pregnant" and I got some scary stories. I'm sure bedrest doesn't help with nothing to do but you're doing your best to bake baby.

Oh I always thought they were practice contractions and nothing to be concerned about, that was what my doctor at the time told me. But then again I only ever had BH with my oldest who is going to be 10 soon so it's been a while.

I get BH contractions all the time and from early on too. Last night was the first time I have had ones that hurt though.
Praying for all of you in the hurricane path! We are surrounded by fires here. :( Our air quality is so bad the kids can't play outside. The US seems to be getting hit hard all around. ((HUGS))

Shan I just talked to my brother in Estes park Colorado and he said the smoke from the fires has made its way to them.
Mommaxo3 they aren't anything to worry about and are just practice contractions. My shots just strengthen my uterus basically so I'm thinking they have something to do with the fact I haven't had as many bh as I used to.

Shann-that's awful about the fires! Prayers!
Ash-schools are canceled Fri-Tues. It sounds like there may be mandatory evacuations starting Saturday here. They'll do lane reversals opening up all of the lanes going in the same direction to get people out! As of right now, we're planning to head to our family's house at the lake really early Sat AM. It's a 2 1/2 hour drive...hoping we can beat the traffic and not have to sit in chaotic traffic! Many places are out of water & long lines at gas stations. Lots of possibilities right now...not sure where it will make landfall!!!

Happy Bub is good but admittedly had to fight back tears...so disappointed, I was so sure this was my boy. No wa hubby would ever ever do HT and gender selection, and not even sure he will ever agree to a fourth. Just shattered. :(
I l ow I will love her but the thought of another girl just kills me..I know it's Terri Le terrible to say that, but I just don't think I can cope.

Īm a terrible mum, I want her to Be someone different than what she is...when she was clearly meant to be. I know I will love her and it's selfish to be so greedy, when she is healthy. I know how many are desperate for a girl and I am /will be blessed with three healthy lively girls..I think the fact is more letting go of ever having a little boy that looks like my hubby that is hard. Why I even thought I could be so lucky to have a healthy Bub, fall pregnant quickly AnD my dreamed gender...how foolish.
For now I need to cry , it will get bette after but the thought of announcing gender and getting comments kills me already..
Take care ladies :HH:

Oh LMSM - Big hugs my dear. You are a wonderful mom who dreamt of having a boy and worked hard for it. It's ok to feel sad. Doesn't mean that you will love your little girl any less. You are grieving for a different reason and you are allowed to feel the way you are feeling. Isn't that the reason we all are here. Trying to make our dream come true. I m so so sorry that you didn't hear boy. My heart breaks for you. Its only natural to be sad. I must say all you ladies are so brave. I still don't feel ready to find out the gender. As if that's going to magically make the baby what I want to hear. You are a smart, brave and loving mom. Cry if you need to and then we will take one day at a time. We are here sweet. Pls share. We all are in this together and can't do it without each other. I wish I could come and give you a big hug.

You are grieving the baby you dreamt up not one growing in your womb. You will be a good mum to her just as you are your other girls and the love and bond is always amazing for sure! Right now grieve and get it out and maybe once bub is here and you still want to try again maybe dh will want to as well by then. So many hugs!

Everyone that is where the weather is crappy. Stay safe and dry!
I guess I'm just surprised the BH started so early seeing as though I'm on #3 and never had this before. They don't hurt and aren't uncomfortable so I'm not concerned at all, I know I'll go overdue regardless. I'm shooting for a valentines baby this go around (i'm due the 5th) lol.

Lola, glad you hear you are taking safety measures anyway! Praying for everyone!
So I just have to put this out there because all of you ladies will understand. My SIL just gave birth to a little girl last weekend. So for days I have been bombarded with pics of her. I am very happy for her and DHs family (especially since she had a bad miscarriage before this and was in labor for 40 hours), but it is cutting like a knife. She has a little 3yo boy and now a little girl. I was quite jealous when they found out. But the worst of it was today when my MIL put up a pic of her with the baby. She made a comment that was innocent, but stung quite a bit. She said "after 5 grandsons, it is nice to have a little girl, I am ready for pink and frills." I just started crying after reading that FB comment. It feels like our boys aren't enough. :( Sorry. Just had to put it out there to people who understand how hurtful those comments can be.
It does not help that EVERYONE comments that they bet this one is our girl. Even after I assure them that we are most likely having a boy, they are adamant that, nope, this will be a girl. UGH. Some people.

Oh got it!!! I know that brand ash, will look it up!!
Shan, I have something similar but on DH's side there are 9 granddaughters and no grandsons. Several years ago my father in law said to me (jokingly but probably also partly seriously) "all these granddaughters and none of you could give me a grandson"? I thought that was so strange...all healthy, wonderful kids, what more could you ask for? This time around I know they will be praying for a boy and I can only imagine the comments coming my way also. Hang in there and try to ignore....

Max and Ash- Belly Bandit Mother Tucker corset is the way to go! I've used it for 2 of my 3 pregnancies so far and just got a new one. It totally helps with the back pain postpartum and helps with relieving pain as your organs move back to where they belong! I can't do the leggings- I just wear regular ones. They make my sciatic nerve pain worse because they compress too much.

LSMS - (hugs) - I'm surprised for you!! I really think you'll get excited in time. It's not that you want to change the baby you are carrying, it's that you lost a dream.
Shann- I totally get it. On MY side there's 1 grandson and he is definitely the favorite. Like my Dad gets him extra gifts at Christmas bc he's the only boy - what the he((? As mad as it makes me, it makes me sister upset too bc her daughter, his sister doesn't get why he gets more. At least my kids are oblivious! My husband and I laugh about (even though sometimes it make my blood boil) bc he's such a girlie boy, doesn't like to be outside and is SO fussy. But, somehow still favored. I've come to terms with it knowing it's the grandparents loss. If they don't see the amazing grandchildren due to gender then again that's their loss.
Max- soo that girdle, like how does that flap work for peeing and (sorry this is gross) but bleeding?? I saw that, but my belly comes back pretty fast, I guess bc I'm tall it never gets that big. I just always carry 10 pounds in my face/arms/legs/butt until I quit nursing and work my butt off.

LMSM how are you feeling after a nights sleep? Gentle hugs xxoo
Lola glad to hear you're preparing and hope the drive out isn't too long.
Shann big hugs xxoo and I feel for you so much. Like you said, sounds like it was an innocent comment but people forget how powerful words can be [emoji853] and to deal with people saying you're carrying a girl when they have absolutely no idea is so frustrating! Hang in there! Not long now until bub is in your arms xxoo
Kat that would make me so mad!!! My mum has always made sure her grandchildren are treated equally. If the gender ratio was the other way do you think your dad would favour the girl though? Do you think his favoritism is gender based or more the fact he's an only?
Max I wont get to use anything like that post c-section but would if I could!
Speaking of which my dh cousin was induced on Thursday and her mum brought her grand daughter over and passed some time at our house. She was getting messages as the labour progressed about contractions etc and I'm like 'ask her how dilated?!' [emoji23][emoji23] It brought back all the feelings of missing out on labour all over again and never getting to experience a natural birth. I keep replaying ds1's labour through my head and wondering if I'd done things differently could I have birthed him after all? I was so scared at the time and feel as though my body just stopped responding. He was in distress but maybe if I'd have a different mindframe he wouldn't have gotten so stressed. The cord was wrapped around his neck twice which the doctor said was pulling him back up after a contraction but that doesn't make sense to me because babies are born with cords around the neck all the time right? I wish I'd spent less time watching reality birth story shows and more times exploring things like hypnobirthing. Sorry for the vent, I will always do what's best for bub (there's zero chance my ob will allow me to try for a v2bac anyway) but the whole labour thing rears it head here and there and I find it hard to come to terms with [emoji53] oh and its yet another thing I have to endure comments on, like I'm choosing an easy way out (like I have a choice), sometimes those comments cut worse then the gender ones [emoji22]

Pbn - I think it's bc he's a boy. My Dad had 2 daughters and think this is just his first experience with a boy. He's always been favored. It bothers me less and less though. His comment about I hope it's a boy did sting this weekend though.

Haha Pbn! I've always joked when my doc has asked if I'm feeling any progress that I don't even know what real contractions are like! At this point, I understand how c sections work for me, and it's not a big deal anymore. My oldest was an emergency one because she was in distress. She was born with her cord in her hand. Basically she was squeezing her own cord until she passed out, and her heart rate would drop. She's still a drama queen. Haha

srg - that is really funny about your dd! Crazy kids. ;) Sorry you girls feel that way about your births. :( I am so scared of a c-section. To me that is surgery and really scary. I was so scared when I was pg with the triplets because they would not even consider a vag delivery. Then atfer loosing the girls, I was relaxed about the birth (mostly) because I knew I could do it vag. It was still scary for me because I knew I would also birth what was left of the girls...so scary for very different reasons. But anyway, we are all so strong and can en-dour so much! HUGS to everyone!!!

Shann I was terrified for my 2nd csection! I'm pretty sure I ended up hypertensive? because the anaesthetist gave me something through my drip and I called right down (heart rate that is and feeling sick/faint) The emergency one was just a blur as I was terrified for bub. This time I'll be nervous but I don't think I'll be scared at all, just laying there thinking 'hurry up already' [emoji23]

Omg kat! My belly seems to be fine shortly like a week or two after labor (even though I'm already chunky lol it's just chunky flat) but my face is another story! It's scary! Looking good also, I'd love to experience a pregnancy without a crap ton of weight gain!
Pbn I've never had to experience a c section but my sil has had to twice and I do not think it's the easy way out by any means I couldn't imagine the pain for days afterwards on top of a massive cut AND taking care of baby and other children I honk your a hero! My sil also labored her first (without an epidural) pushed for 3 hours, got massive hemorrhoids and baby just wouldn't come out s she ended up with emergency c section under general Sedation because she has scoliosis. It is for sure not the easy way out.
Kat I love that wall paper I need some behind my bathtub [emoji177] that is totally my happy place.
Srg [emoji23] what a drama queen.... love it! Ds2 had his cord around his neck when he came out and it was in a knot definitely scary and he was purple but luckily I got him pushed out fast enough.

Thanks Ash and yes going thru labour and then a c-section is the worst as everything is sooooo sore. My recovery for my 2nd scheduled one was so much better in that sense. I think I feel moreso that I'm missing out on a fundamental part of being a women (being able to give birth) this in no way means I feel this way about anyone else, its my own personal grief. My sister made an offhand comment once about us girls (her, me and older sister) being made to have babies as though she'd forgotten that while they fell pregnant by just looking at their husbands I struggled and had to work at it, then the obvious difference in being able to deliver. She didnt mean anything by it I know but it still rubbed me the wrong way [emoji23]

Sorry hit send too soon.
Pbn - I was in labor with dd for 21 hrs and was only 6cm dilated. And then no progress. The OB then advised to go for C section because the contractions were very strong ( I took epidural since they induced me a day after my due date after I had a little leak of water). She said that we waited long enough. I knew it was the right call though I cried my eyes out. I was actually quite freaked out about pushing the baby out from vagina. I was worried sick about the pain afterwards. So, I thought as sucky as the recovery with c section, it was better for a person like me. [emoji52] I m such a chicken[emoji51]

So I'm having dramas with trying to get the fb group info out. Been googling away as the links aren't working, apparently you need to be friends on facebook to add someone [emoji848] I've changed the privacy from secret to closed so it can at least be looked up and you can request to join that way. Just waiting on confirmation that it works then I'll pm the screenshot of the group. I also sent a test link now the privacy is changed :)

Sooo, the governor of SC held a press conference last night & did NOT issue a mandatory evacuation for us. We made a last minute decision to stay as it the current track appears to spare us for the most part. I'm all packed up though, so we can always hop in the car if it changes. Still expecting heavy rain, flooding etc. I'm expecting to lose electricity too, so supplies are stocked up!! Today is the calm before the storm with a lovely breezy day! As crazy as this sounds, we may go to check out the beach & waves (just look), then go to the beach playground! I'm thinking my anatomy scan will still be ON for 9/15 yayyy! So excited & nervous, praying all is well!

I know. He looks pretty determined to find out n I told him that we didn't have any success with blue sways so far n he said he will be as happy with two girls too.
You know I was sad when I found about my first being a girl at anatomy scan. Horrible person I was [emoji849]. We had all girls in my family between my two sisters and brother and they are all amazing. But then there were a lot of hopes on me is what I felt and mine being a girl made me sad for them. But today, when I look at my daughter I feel the guilt of ever feeling that way. There is nothing that I would change about her and having two of her will be a blessing. I m so proud of feeling this way but now my in laws are hoping for a boy because between dh and his brother, we have two girls and this will be our last baby and they won't have more either so in laws would love if this one will be a boy. I hate to carry the burden of anyone's hopes. I love them a lot and they are great and they mean well but I don't want to be disappointed knowing the gender of my baby. When I found out with my first, I thought I felt the way I did because I didn't have her in front of me to realize how perfect she was hence I decided to not find out this time. My dh knows all this that's why he doesn't even give me a hint of what the gender is when he found out at 12 weeks.
I honestly don't have much hope of hearing a boy since everyone else's sway was way better than mine and I was shocked when they heard opposite. I keep telling dh to not be disappointed if he hears a girl because there is most certainly a big possibility that he will. May be that's my way of telling that to myself.
Oh and you know what the funny thing is that I told my sister about the Shettles method for conceiving a boy and guided her every step of the way while I was pregnant with dd. She tried it and she had a boy after two girls. [emoji4][emoji4] My daughter and him are 9 months apart.

Ur not alone sky. I was overjoyed with DD1 as i wanted a girl to dress up and have as a friend. Plus i came from a boy heavy family so didn't have any sisters or girl cousins of my age group to hang out with. With DD2 i was sad not that she was a girl but that she was my last child and that i will never get to have a boy to complete our family. With dd3 it was the sway that hurt the most and the fact that i went out of my comfort limits to have a third child when life was going so perfect with my 2 girls.
This time at least i didn't sway do i know that disappointment won't be there but the 4th kid part is really still killing me. I had never imagined in my wildest dreams to have 4 kids. I am dying trying to raise the 3 i already have but o well what's done is done and what's written in my destiny will come to me whether i like it not.

Sky - you still have a 50/50 chance at hearing boy, don't let us drag you down [emoji12] It is strange to me that our girl sways have been 100% and boy sways 0%! But, I don't care enough to ponder too long.

Bluebooties- Hugs. You are so strong and I really pray you hear what you want. I always wanted a big family but it's not easy now I know. I must say that I feel awful to even care about the gender since it's only my second baby and I am working so hard on everything to be good because of gestational diabetes. I should consider myself lucky to even hear all is good and baby is healthy. I honestly get my strength from everyone here who have 1,2,3 and even 4 of same gender and are still so positive and always cheering others. That's what I tell my dh. I am so thankful to be a part of this amazing group. It really changed the way I think. I will be bummed to hear girl if I do find out but it would have been way worse had I not met you all. I know it would be challenging raising four and I wish that you get all the strength and positivity you need to keep going strong.
Kat - I love the prints. It's so much fun when you start shopping. It's a new level of excitement. ❤️
That's what I feel about the sways. When I read everyone's sways here in ttc blue group and how we got our boys thread, I actually felt that it's easier to sway for a boy than for a girl. I feel otherwise now. My sister only BDed once after pos opk and she got her boy and when I did my research before ttc myself, I thought wow how big of a risk she took as BDing once sways pink. Every body is different I guess.

Bluebooties- You know what I am the last kid in our family of four kids. 2 girls then my brother was born and then my mom accidentally got pregnant with me. She wanted to not go through with the pregnancy because she had some complications with my brother but my dad didn't want to so I was born[emoji12]. My dad always said that having me was like finding the missing link of our family even after they have had a boy. I am the one who is closely bonded to all my siblings. And always a mediator whenever they fought or still do. I bet your fourth will be the last piece of the puzzle to complete your beautiful family. ❤️❤️

Sky surely someone here will HAVE to have a successful boy sway. May as well be you! I for sure wouldn't count it as your last until someone is perm. Fixed because we were completely finished at 2 and 3 was a surprise 4 was planned so he could have a "buddy" close in age and 5 was planned because I finally sold dh on I just knew it would be a girl if we had another and he went with it only because (I think) he got all his boys. He was scared to death at our first u/s that we'd hear girl!

Sorry I mean wanted a boy with or without sway after their girls. You know I secretly pray that by some magical power, those who swayed for boy and heard girl or the other way around would find out that the test was wrong and they indeed are having a boy or a girl that they wanted. I don't want to upset anyone but I am a dreamer. This is what I did to myself with dd even after anatomy scan that's why I want to stay team green because I will not believe either way until I see myself. I m nuts.

Sorry just saw I got you worried! s..I'm ok, we told the girls about Bub Friday night and DD1 was just sooooo excited and she wants a sister! We told her we knew what the gender was and could tell her if she wanted but for now she wants to keep the secret..she has been uber cute. DD2 is oblivious haha
Hubby was happy and at first couldn't understand my disappointment. After bawling my eyes out all night Friday and no sleep, in the am, DH was a lot more understanding and tried to understand why I was so upset, the loss of a little boy looking like him, and reassured me heaps, saying I was a wonderful mum (he Is one that never compliments so warmed my heart massively) and he said he hasn't closed the door to a #4 ("but, though, when will we sleeeeep?!") , that he loved me beyond words and was here for me and us... it soothes my heart though I know I will be upset and feels like I won't believe she is a she until she is here and my irrational mind will hang to the hope that 0.01% that the test wasn't accurate. And I am now on the hunt of a uber cute first outfit for our newest daughter :awe: wouldn't say I am excited as yet, as still too raw, but know I will love her like crazy.
Lola, since I would like her name to start with an S she may be a Sophia (or other we still have plenty of time ) but like the fact it means wisdom...hopefully she will bring me just that, and peace of mind about my GD.
Crazy how bad the success rate has been on here for blue swayers...so the next go find out are bound to be all blue blue blue ;) to finally bring those stats up!
All up for the FB group but will have to get back to you later, have to go wash the car with DD1 now lol

I am over the moon with joy that it worked out for me, but I know I would have been crushed otherwise (at first). I felt so terrible for feeling that way, but I know it's normal & I absolutely understand what some of you are feeling!!

Some kids see their poo as part of them so they fear loosing it hence "hanging" on to it, rather than flush it away...Google it, it's a real thing! ;)

No he doesn't seem afraid as such? He'll get on any toilet anywhere, won't even use the ladder seat my oldest still uses.... my oldest was freaked out by the toilet but once be finally went he was ok (I resorted to holding him on there kicking and screaming as nothing else worked and I feel I tried everything). Once he went that once it was never an issue again. I hated doing it that way though so it was awesome when ds2 had no worries getting on the loo..... but then he'd only wee [emoji23] so really hopinhlg the chocolate cake works [emoji23][emoji23]

For me sticker rewards, tiny scented kiddy stamps and such have worked. DD1 would get a sucker after 5 stickers on her potty chart so she was always so excited for that. DD2 was a bit more stubborn and challenging.

The potty was of no interest lol
I hope you can lure him into using the loo pbn, it does make life so much easier when no nappies are needed..especially since we'll be knee deep in nappies with our newborns soon lok

I am Loving the potty training talks. [emoji4] I totally bribed dd before 3 because wanted her to join a particular preschool which was really good and they needed her to be potty trained. [emoji12]I would give her stickers and kisses chocolate when she would pee in the bathroom. She never did no.2 in diaper. We had a potty seat like a chair and she always used that right from 7 months. She was a super chunky baby and was never comfortable doing in the diaper.[emoji4] I thought I did hit a jackpot there.

Blue – definitely would recommend getting one of those seats with a step/handles (DD2 can get herself up now) – one of the best investments we’ve made – plus the bonus is no yucky potty to clean up afterwards!
Also, I think they feel like they are doing it like mum and dad so they feel grown up and it encourages them too!

LMSM - So cool that you felt her and found her on the doppler. I find my miss on the doppler, but not sure I've felt movement yet....sometimes I think yes, but not sure.
Glad you're coming to terms with DD#3 - gorgeous how excited DD1 is!
Pbn3 - Same training seat for us here too....at the old house, we had one in each toilet and a step to wash their hands.
Toilet Training - I also recommend switching to pull ups before going to undies, because they start to feel the wet sensation. They're all so different....as they are with everything! I've never taught a prep not toilet trained...they all get there! I'm all for bribery too! Those about to start, I recommend the 3 day potty training guide (just google it)....worked for both my boys.
Kat - super cute outfits!
Sky & Blue Booties - Hoping so much you get your boys!!!
AFM - Booked in for my csection...15th March 8am :) Makes it real. I also made my first girl purchases. The dress is one of my fave Aussie designers, 'Fred Bare' and the other outfits, my DH and I chose together when we had a date night on Saturday - made it super real!!!

Shann-I feel your pain. My family is mostly girls and I have 2 so when I got pregnant EVERYONE said "I hope its a boy," it's a girl. I feel like the girls don't get as much attention because there's only 2 boys and 5 girls and this one makes 6 for the kids. My sister is also the only one who has a girl and a boy. She got the golden pen!s. It really makes me made because my nephew is a little jerk and cries all the time (he's almost 10). The girls are so easy. My niece is in all advanced classes but no one bats an eye to that but me.
Lola-facebook does spy. I get ads for stuff I googled at work all the time. Stay safe!
Pbn-FB would definitely be easier for me to keep up. You girls are busy in here some days lol. And no labor is the easy way out. Each way has it's own issues. I've never had a csection and hope to never have one because I hate not being able to do anything for myself but in the end its always what's best for baby.
Mommy2apples-I get the facebook thing being annoying when TTC. It seemed like every other week one of my friends were getting pregnant or having a baby.
Ash-I'm chubby and have only gained 2 pounds so far but my belly is so big already.
LMSM- Your hubby sounds wonderful!

Well just lovely...got a tornado warning alert on my phone saying to take shelter until 1:30...it's 1:07 now. Sitting in the bathroom with the boys hoping this is nothing & not headed our way. I don't do storms well! Power is still on=silver lining!

Super cute Iwant4kids I haven't bought anything for a while now trying to save up for bunks which is a killer because of the ones dh is set on [emoji849]. I was telling him yesterday we don't have that long! I want everything done before thanksgiving so I can relax and Christmas shop and enjoy the holiday and that time limit is only 10 weeks away [emoji33] not happening I don't think!

Share the pic of the bunk if you have it? What's your review on bunks? We are still debating. [emoji52]

Ash - Hope ds1 feels better soon. I know it's so hard when kids get sick one after the other. It's like the sickness runs it's course on everyone. I m going to avoid preschool until 4 yrs this time. Dd hardly went to school between 3-4. We paid for the private school for no reason. 4-5 was amazing though.

So scary Lola! I just got an alert on my phone for your town (I'm not stalking I just turned all Irma related alerts on I have a cousin in Orlando) hope you don't go under [emoji853]
Sky we're going with this one since they're both still young and it's not so high. If one falls off it won't be a big one. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170911/2aa6e0b9e0f6241a5ef8dcc58f562818.png

Looks beautiful Ash. Hope it's not too dumb to ask. Does the bottom
One has enough space for the baby to sit up? I really like it.

Ash ... hope the illness gets done with. Stomach bugs are never fun.
Our bunks should be on there way. Were supposed to take 3 weeks so any day now. Can't wait to redo the girls room. I hear you on the expensive part. But we r hoping it will last us a while, right now for the eldest 2 and in a few years for the youngest 2.
Lola .. stay safe dear, lots of prayers coming ur way

I think we're in the clear at the moment tornado wise. Apparently there were several spotted in various locations, one not too far from here. Ash-how is your cousin in Orlando???
