Dancingdiva- I feel like dh and dd make a team and do the opposite of everything I want them to do. I get so upset with dh these days. [emoji52] Last night, we decided that I won't say no to anything dd asks and will just direct her to dad. God! Biggest mistake. She is living the dream now. [emoji12]And I am going nuts. OMG! It was the worst with both my DS1’s and this pregnancy! I threw a remote at him super hard, because he kept pushing MY buttons and getting a kick out of it! This pregnancy I’ve really had to regulate myself because of the kids. I’ve said to him numerous times, “Please stop! I’m having trouble controlling myself!” If that doesn’t work I say, “You need to stop because I will hurt you!” [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]!

Anyone ever had back Labor before? So this may be tmi but I've mentioned it before dh sperm send me into labor, I have always had strong and consistent contractions after a deposit [emoji23] so I am and did with last pregnancy take shots. Last pregnancy I still managed to go into labor before they were out of my system and had contractions when he would release inside. So new pregnancy he just "has" to test it out to see if I still react the same (I guess he is hopeful) I haven't been having any contractions the last few times so he just keeps going. But today I am not having contractions but like pressure down the backs of my legs unless I am setting. Anyone ever experience this? I'm hoping this is not an indication that I'll have a back labor this time because I've been spared the last 4

Back Labor is felt right in your lower back and butt, down to your tail bone. It sucks major ass! It’s just like contractions but felt in the locations I mentioned. What you are mentioning sounds to me like sciatic nerve pain, which radiates down the backs of you legs. This typically flares up due to baby’s position or from your uterus causing your pelvis to expand.

Hope you find relief soon!

Something tells me your DH may not go for that, Ash [emoji23][emoji23]! I think it’s just the luck of the draw and it’s baby’s position. I hope it goes away!

I’m feeling crampy but that’s about it. If she does come, it will have to be sometime overnight. My appointment tomorrow is 9:45am central time. I’m sure we will be talking a lot about the next steps. I keep thinking we may just have to coax her a bit like with my DS1. Time will tell! She may surprise us yet!

Ash, if your Dh’s semen gets you reacting so strongly, def wear a condom???
But does sound like sciatic nerve pain – having said that if it’s only annoying could just be ligament pain which can be annoying (or downright painful) because a sciatica hurts like a b*tch lol – I get it all the time, and it doesn’t take much for it to start! Positioning & Physio helps if that is the issue ;)

Dancing – OMG I feel like that often – and not just when preggers lol

Sky – can’t wait for your sway and knowing its’ outcome!
Hope hubby has been good at helping getting the packing done!

XX – FX missy makes her appearance tonight then ! :D

OMG – BH are back – I could literally feel the hard ball of my uterus all weekend on an off, so easy to find the fundus – it actually woke me a few times during the night …sigh
Ok, since bub measured ahead last week, we are now starting week 14 meaning hello 2nd trimester if I am not mistaken! :D
Dh and I had a lovely anniversary lunch on Saturday – the girls were good and had fun at their godparents’ – here’s to hoping we might be able to let them be watched here and then by them hehe
Oh and our aircon is getting installed today – sooooo friggin’ excited!!
Downside is budget – we are looking at me going back full time (am 4 days/week atm – not that it changes my workload sigh) until I start mat leave to accrue more mat leave/ leave/pay over the next few months - …so I guess hope I can get a spot a daycare for each of the girls now! Not looking forward to the extra day/week of public transport whilst pregger – ah well, will have to expose that belly so there is no denying I have an inhabitant and people will have to be courteous

Trying to catch up! Just got back from the best family vacation, but y'all if I didn't see so many 2 older girl, 1 baby boy families - ugh!! I just have to chant comparison is the thief of joy over and over. Really hate I feel this way. Our girls are so excited about the baby girl though. I went paddle boarding in the ocean and they were cheering for her, it was hilarious! We have a name, I'll post on FB page.
Ash - you need to tell DH to chill! Can you do other things besides sex? I just don't want you to go into labor too soon. I'm surprised your OB doesn't tell you to refrain. And my votes for baby girls names are either Eloise or Naomi [emoji175] I'm totally obsessed with Twilight too but does Esme really go with your boys name?? I thought they were more traditional for some reason.
Sooo after vacation I'm up 15 pounds at 20 weeks, my norm. I'll be up 30 by the time she's born - blah. And this is with me trying. I'm still exercising [emoji23]

Thanks Kat. I am already a bit stressed about the health so didn't want to add another gender stress on top. We didnt tell our families yet either even though they r on to us when we say we havent had the scan yet.
Will wait for the MFM appointment this friday and hopefully if its not as bad as my OB sounded as then i will muster strength to give it a look.
The thing is my OB read the sonogram and not a radiologist which is giving me hope that it might just be a angle/view based error and that when we go for the 3D it will turn out to be nothing🤞. Either way i just hope and pray the findings dont have an associated chromosomal anomaly.

My epidural was also put in crooked so that could be why it was just one side. I had sciatica with her pretty bad though too.

Oh blue - ok. Please update us Friday. I'll be praying until then. Do you have any factors for increased risk of downs, age, family history? I'm 35 so I got all the blood work done that gave positive/negative versus the %s like in my past pregnancies. Hopefully you'll have the blood work back by Friday too.

No i don't have any personal or family risks and that's why i wasn't offered NIPT just the routine antenatal screening which i opted out of as its not as accurate. I didn't event get an NT scan.

Kat did I miss the name you've picked on the fb page? That's awesome you had a fantastic vacation! Love that your girls were cheering for their baby sister [emoji179] I really like that saying 'comparison is the thief of joy' and will remember it next time I'm feeling jealous/envious of things out of my control [emoji3]

Bluebooties- I know the wait is the worse. I am praying for you and the baby. I hope you are right and the OB just misread it. Hang in there. Hugs.

Kat - Glad that you had a great vacation. How cute of your girls to be so excited. I am sorry about that feeling of comparison. I used to feel when we were ttc and whenever I would see anyone pregnant. And then I would imagine that I am going to freak out once I do get pregnant because then I would start worrying
about the gender. So many hugs. It's only natural to feel this way. So let yourself feel it. Can't wait to hear the name. ❤️And I too loved that saying too. So many feelings in just one sentence.

Blue – I will be thinking of you and hope that you get reassurance on Friday – the wait is a killer – FX a specialist tech will be able to rule out issues : as you’re right, your OB is probably not the expert eyes you need in case of doubt and may well have misinterpreted images.

Kat – how great you had a lovely break (you are so petite and fit, don’t worry too much about the weight gain hon you look fab!), and how cute are your girls cheering on their baby sister! I know so so so so much how you feel, and try to remind myself just what you said – not to spoil things by being jealous – but darn it’s hard! And as happy as you can be for others, when you long for that son, it cuts really deep when others get what you so wish you had, too. :hugs: my SIL’s 2nd bub is looking very much like it could be a 2nd boy and GD is coming back when I thought I was being so positive etc
Didn’t see the name for DD3 on FB – will have to go stalk now! :D

Ash – like Kat am biaised for the name Eloise hehe – I do like Esme though!!

Sky – how are you feeling? Like Kat am so convinced you have a boy in there ;) I wish you’d just go and ask your hubby now

PBN – how are you? It’s been a while since we’ve seen your bump :D

My little E is 2 today – she was just the cutest this morning when she walked into our room and I wished her a happy birthday, she was just so excited – love her to bits that kid!
The electrician was still working on the installation last night (woohoo we have aircon!) so no power so had to go out for dinner - and only got to bake her daycare Bday cake super late – so had to decorate it etc. in a rush this am – not the best or prettiest but meh, 2 year olds probs don’t care as long as they get to eat cake haha

Oh and likely will go back to 5d/w at work – have a spot for the girls on Fridays at daycare and frankly, as much as it breaks my heart, financially would put us in a better position as will be able to earn some more before mat leave, accrue more annual leave and get paid more on mat leave too as they determine your pay based on how much you’ve worked the past 12 months….
M, my eldest is not keen, but I think we don’t have much of a choice – and did tell her that Mummy would be much more available next year as Mummy will be on leave for some months while baby sister is still tiny….
Sigh – can’t ever win eh? I need to win the lotto, methinks!

Ladies, I’ve really been struggling since we got the news on Friday that baby is a boy. I feel so awful feeling this way about my baby that I don’t even know yet, but I can’t help but feel like he should be my daughter instead. I try to rationalize during the day how wonderful it will be for my husband and that I’ll eventually know that it was the right thing for our family, but for right now, it stings. We told the girls the news over the weekend and while DD1 was excited, DD2 said “mommy, I wish it was a girl so I could have another sister”. I don’t think I’ll forget that, ever. I’m just kind of at a loss as to how we got the boy after such a strong girl sway, and Kat and LMSM you got girls after wanting a boy so badly. It just doesn’t seem fair. I’m having a hard time sleeping at night…I’m up all hours thinking about the dynamic of how a boy 6 and 8 years younger will fit in with the girls, and pray that they’ll form the bond that I was hoping another daughter would. Anyway, just have to get this off my chest. Never thought I’d be dealing with gender disappointment, but I think I unfortunately officially have it….

I don’t see it Pbn3?!? Strange! Anyway, my appointment was very productive. While I’m not dilated anymore, my cervix is super squishy, haha! She said that dilating decreases when the cervix ripens but not to worry. She said she would take a squishy cervix over being partially dilated and effaced any day. Those can happen without the cervix softening and is the biggest reason for many inductions to start labor.

Baby girl is in the prime position but not engaged. Again not to worry- often babies engage at the start of Labor or right before. That was the case with my DS2-3.

I got the most amazing nights’ sleep last night! I feel SO rested! I bet she will come this week. If not, I have a scan and a non-stress test scheduled for Monday to determine how long past my due date I can go.

Aww max! So many hugs sweetie! I had gender disappointment with my fourth baby bad. I just thought I'd always have two of each and be done, but after that news that she was indeed a he I just couldn't get it out of my head that our family wasn't complete yet, I felt bad because even while pregnant with him all I could think was I need one more girl. Even made the dr check to make sure I was able to have another baby after my fourth csection.
Once I held him in my arms though and especially now that he is two my bond grows stronger for him each and every day. I could never imagine a girl to replace him. I tell him I love you more than I could ever love you as a two year old girl. I mean it, because I couldn't imagine a life without him. He's brought so much light to our lives and he was just what I needed to help me ease the pain of losing my dad, and in ways he reminds me of my dad. Only thing I miss about being pregnant with him and I tell people this when I'm asked is my dad. While I was pregnant with him I still had my dad and then after I had him then I didn't anymore. Anyways the lord knows the perfect baby for your family, just it'll take time to adjust to it.

Maxim I'm with Ash about the having to deal with all the comments about how thrilled you must be having a boy from everyone assuming..... I hope knowing the comments are coming will help prepare you in some way. Plus having dh so excited is really tough as he likely would not understand your feelings. So vent away here anytime and don't bottle it up as xx said. Xx- Such an exciting time. Can't wait for your little sunshine. Pls keep us updated. [emoji175][emoji177]
Mommy2apples- Hugs and I hope you get a bfp soon. Are you going to test tomorrow?🤞🤞 I am so glad that you shared with us. It was the same with us when my older sister had her second daughter. She was born a day after my dad passed away and even though everyone was hoping for a boy, she brought so much love to our lives since we all were so close to my dad that we would have been lost had we not have a little baby in our arms.
❤️
Pbn - You have such a cute bump. I too feel it's a little girly.[emoji175]🤞
Such a cute cat. I got your pm but even that didn't work. I will try to login using my laptop. That might help. Now will need to wait until the move.
Ash - So exciting. You will be 28 weeks in just 4 more weeks. [emoji4][emoji4]Awesome. I sometimes feel the time is crawling. Part of it is because I am too focused on eating. I don't want to go on Insulin. So every week that goes without it brings relief. [emoji52]I wish to make it to the finish line on my own diet controlled. Gd took a lot of fun out of my pregnancy. [emoji53][emoji53]
I love those headbands. I can't wait wait to see your baby's pictures with the pretty outfits and headbands. She is going to be such a stylish baby. [emoji175][emoji175]
Lolla - How are you dear?
Bluebooties- Glad that the work is distracting you. Will be thinking about you. What time is your appointment on Friday?

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been MIA, I had a very frustrating weekend & week so far. We have been renting our current house & planned to possibly buy it when our lease ended Jan 1st. Our landlord was aware of this & wasn't going to show the house. Well, she is expecting a baby in October & changed her mind. She let her realtor friend show the house & the family put in an offer ugh!!! We decided to go ahead & put in an offer as well for slightly higher. They counter offered with a significantly higher price & we're not getting into a bidding war, so now we've lost our house [emoji22]I want to nest & set up my girlie nursery soooo bad!! My plan was to find a new place ASAP, but the new buyers don't want to move in until Jan & we're bound to our contract to pay rent until then ugh! We were hoping they'd want to move in early & let us out of our lease. Now I can't set up my baby girl's room until Jan, a month before I'm due. Sooooo annoyed! I've been busy with work & trying to figure out our next plan...
So I need to take time to fully catch up, but a few things I noticed:
Pbn-your bump is SO cute! Looking great! Your kitty in the background is precious too :)
Max-I'm so sorry you're having these feelings! I'm sure it's tough running your sway through your head & wondering why you didn't get your desired gender & you have every right to feel disappointed. I just know this little guy will be the perfect addition to your family when he arrives though [emoji170] Like Pbn's idea of shopping for him & maybe you can think of the perfect name that excites you! I can see how it would be hard to share your feelings with DH, but hope his excitement helps ease the GD with time! HUGS ❤️
XX-OMG! Getting so close!
Ash-LOVE those headbands!
Speaking of cute girlie stuff-my "sprinkle" is this coming Sunday with my family/friends! Excited!

https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/6513f2Sky we r in the same boat haven't gained a pound just fluctuating about the same point based on whether i am constipated/bloated or not [emoji1].

My appointment is at 7:45 am CST till 10 am on Friday. Its a 3d ultrasound followed by doc visit. I am scheduled to work that day too so i will have to go in at like 6 am to make up for time lost in my appointment and then rush back to work right after. It will be a stressful day all around. But over time i am finding comfort in the fact that "the ob must have had her calipers a bit off and there isn't any thing much to worry about" but we will see ...

He let me use our medicare refund from my obs bill to buy it and I'm over the moon!! I had one for a few years until my boys decided to pour water into it about a year ago and fry the circuit board. I really really felt its loss as I used it on a daily basis and I'm thrilled to bits I can do so again!!!! Pbn-I was so hoping there was a way around this, but talked with our realtor & sounds like we're stuck ughhh! The sad part is that we really loved this house...perfect size & location and situated on a cul-de-sac. We were waiting to sell our condo before buying. Just sold the condo which put us in a good position to buy & then these people come along & mess this up for us [emoji22] Guess everything happens for a reason, but wanted to stay. DH says we'll rent for a year, then buy an even better house. I just want to be settled NOW! Pregnant momma is not a happy camper lol.

Sky so exciting about moving!
Will Test Thursday if af hasn't arrived by then.
It's so crazy how death and babies being born go hand and hand. My dad kept asking when you having him? I'd tell him and he would say oh that's to late. Mom would be like are you dying? He'd say I'm not dying. He knew he was though. Just hope he got to see and hold my little baby like he wanted.
Sky that's the perfect baby you all needed in your lives to help ease your pain as best as can be!

Ash-so our landlord made an effort to be fair. She told us that the family put in an offer and then gave us the option since she told us we would have the first option to buy. We asked their asking price/details and went a little above it. They must have really wanted the house b/c I was never expecting a counter offer outbidding us & essentially becoming our new landlords in Oct. We thought it may be mutually beneficial to move out early, but noooo they are renting & have a lease until Jan...so our rent pretty much helps pay their rent or new mortgage grrrr. I'm pretty livid!!! I think something shady is going on...maybe since the realtor is her friend, they're sharing some type of commission. Not fair!!

Blueblooties-I was totally hoping that playing the "pregnant card" would help, but since my landlord is also pregnant & due next month...she wants to sell this house ASAP b/c it's holding them back from buying another house. She acted like she understood the need to nest and said she would talk with the new owner's realtor. BUT pretty much sounds like we're stuck b/c the owners need to pay their other rent. I was so upset & cranky about this over the weekend!! :(

Can't wait to see the pics of your sprinkle. You have the cutest, prettiest body. I agree with Pbn that I would have to know you to figure out that you are pregnant. Pbn - Yay. Congratulations on your Roomba Robovac. I can totally understand the excitement. Nothing brings more joy than not having to bend to clean and see the work done. [emoji4]Enjoy your new helper. So nice of dh. [emoji1303]
Mommy2apples- Well said. She has been such a blessing. I was very close to my dad. He was my best friend. He passed away before my wedding but I feel comfort in knowing that he met dh and loved him and gave his blessings for our wedding. He was out of the hospital for a brief time and planned our engagement party. It was a beautiful ceremony. I wish he could have met my daughter. He would have loved her and I want to have a boy because I always imagined that he will come bk in my life. I guess we don't reason when it comes to love. My daughter was talking to me about my dad at dinner tonight and asked me if I am sad because we are talking about him. I told her that talking about him with her brings me joy because I want her to know how wonderful he was and because we both are daddy's girls. [emoji24][emoji24] It never gets easier.
Bluebooties- We will be moving on Friday but I will be checking my phone for an update from you. I have faith that all will be ok. I will be thinking about you.
Pbn - I will try to do it tomorrow if I could or else will have to wait until after we move. I have been packing slowly. I feel like I have done quite a bit. Will do the rest on Thursday and then will move on Friday. We are just renting a bigger house in the same community so just 20-30 steps distance max. [emoji4]The movers will set the furniture and then we will slowly unpack over the weekend. It's a bigger house which means more space which is good. It will be bitter sweet because I love where we are right now but need more room. [emoji4]
LMSM - How are you?
Kat - Hi. How is it going?
Shann- How are you feeling? Has the stone passed. Hope you aren't in pain anymore.

Don't apologise Netti!! You are always welcome here [emoji173] oh boy that's gotta be really hard having your best friend possibly/likely having a girl after two boys.... when is your scan? Does your ultrasound place go along with the nub theory? I hope you dont have long to wait and maybe try schedule it for 13 weeks so its more accurate. From memory weren't you quite ill around conception? Really hoping it will help sway against your strong blue odds [emoji53] is there anything else you did different? You only had one attempt this time right? I remember with ds5 you had 2 or 3 attempt?

Thanks pbn. I was sick with a flu on and off. Not eating breakfast and drinking coffee. DH did FR however we had 1 attempt possibly a 2nd depending exactly when i ovulated, it was 3 days apart though. I think i missed my surge as i didn't get a strong positive but I did ovulate.

Im booked in next week ill be 12wk 3 days. I had a heamatoma and im eager to see baby again and DH will be able to go with me. Im not sure if they know the nub theory but I doubt they will give me any insight. After that I was waiting for anatomy scan in November. Thats why i thought try having him release most days leading up to O with 1 attempt and im surprised it worked, though i think my dh has an overload of sperm [emoji23]. I may have gotten carried away with a possible 2nd attempt as I was worried he would change his mind if it didn't happen that month as he was still on and off, but it may well be that it didn't help anyway.

Ash - sperm has made me have contractions twice this pregnancy but never did for my other ones.

Pbn - the other cat just recently figured out how to open the kitchen cabinets and goes in there to lay. I go in the cabinet to get a snack or something and see glowing yellow eyes or she touches my hand with her paw, the little booger.

Max-I'm not sure which is worse everyone assuming you're happy to have the opposite gender or everyone assuming you're disappointed for having another of the same gender.

Xx-You're so close! I'd be freaking out at this point if that were me lol.

Lola-that sounds so frustrating. I get the landlord let you know someone put in an offer but they should have let you have first dibs since you're already there. You don't even look pregnant! You'll bounce back pretty quick I bet. This was never a gift I was blessed with. I've gained 5lbs so far (21weeks) but I'm a thicker kind of girl and always was but I'm enjoying my last bump.

Mommaxo3 I love it, way to give you a heart attack [emoji23][emoji23]!! Sounds like something my Loopy would do! (She cant resist open cupboards nor appealing for a pat when she sees a hand [emoji23]) My other cat Sebastian worked out how to open my bedroom door which did my head in no end. He'd jump up and use his paws to pull down the handle and make an absolute racquet! I had been closing the door when ds2 was sleeping in the cot in my room. So I'm hoping when this bub comes along he's forgotten how to do it [emoji23]

Sky hope the move is still going well! I would love a bigger house!!! But financially we are going nowhere for a long time. The housing market has dropped to the lowest I've ever seen it here. People who built or bought when the boom was on and have now lost their job are unable to afford them so the market is just flooded with all these beautiful homes for a pittance. Its a buyers dream at the moment. Keep hoping I'll will the lottery [emoji23][emoji23] Cant wait to read your sway once you've done it!

Mommy2apples eeeeeeeeekk!!! Hopefully everything coming together like this (femara and u/s) will be exactly what's needed to seal this deal!

Hi everyone, just a quick hello. I will update later. O am feeling better so far. No more pain since Sunday, so we are praying the stone passed. I will post a pic so you all can see a real bump ;) (Lola - what bump are you talking about, ha ha ha) You all look wonderful. GL with all the moves. I am still trying to slowly get boxes unpacked from our move in May. Yikes! We have our Baby BBQ on Sat and then my boss is throwing us a shower again on the 12th. He really is a great man, I promise.

Hi! I have a playdate for the boys on their way over so will keep this brief. Appt went well but she wants to see me in 3 weeks not 4 so not sure what that's about. She did say baby looks great so I'm trying not to be concerned! Might be because I have blood and glucose tests in 2 weeks? Also she started calling baby 'she' and I asked her if that's how she refers to gender or is she accidentally telling what bub is? She said I referred to baby as she when I first came in and talked about kicking so she just followed my lead [emoji23][emoji23] had no idea I'd said 'she'!!!! And plus she didn't even remember that I'd gotten gender included in nipt and has no idea what I'm having which I believe :) She mentioned I looked big for 24 weeks [emoji23] will come back on in a few hours!

Pbn - Cats are so fun but big furry pains in the butt lol. I'm glad the apt went well but I wouldn't be too concerned about a 3 week apt instead of 4 unless they give you a reason to worry. Maybe someone is going on Vacation? Or it could be the Glucose test. I'm sure mine should be coming up sometime next month or the month after depending on the doctor.

Shann - thats so nice of your boss to throw a BBQ. The only thing I'm sure to get is a "when are you coming back" text when I leave to go have baby. Especially because when my grandfather passed she texted me to let me know I only get one bereavement day for grandparents.

Mommy, I love that! So special!

Shan, sorry you weren't feeling well. That's very nice of your boss to have the BBQ.

Kat, I tried messaging you directly. Did you see it? I don't know why no one (except mommy woohoo!) can see my messages! Anyone know?

Augh ladies I cannot deal with these ups and downs emotionally. I'm so surprised that I'm feeling so strongly about having a boy. Pbn, I took your advice and went to buy him a few outfits. The first thing I found was a sweet blue zip up with little bears on it (we call DD1 Ella bear so it seemed fitting) and then some ridiculously cute and overpriced kissy kissy onesies. If I'm having a boy, he's going to be one heck of a cute preppy dressed like my DH. I'm praying that time will help me not feel like crying every time I tell someone we are having a son. And I HATE that I feel this way so very much!!

Thanks Ash! It'll happen when it's supposed to for sure! All in the lords timing. Although this time I am either going to do eod, or smep as I never conceived my two middle babies until, with ash we gave in to everyday and I think Kolton may had been eod. Figure whichever gender we end up with will be the best fit for our family as the lord knows better than me.

Thanks max!
Boys clothes are way too cute huh! It'll fade as soon as he's here max if not as soon as he's here then definitely when his personality starts to shine and you will be so overwhelmed like wow that little man owns my heart!

((HUGS Max)) I truly know how you are feeling. As much as I love my boys, I still get lots of pangs in my heart when I tell people we are having another boy. I know in my mind and heart that this is our very last child, so I will not get that experience of having a daughter. Time has made it a bit better, but I am still not really connected to this baby or this pregnancy at all yet. I am praying that once he is in my arms, I will feel better, because I HATE that I feel this way. Just know you are not alone and we all understand and do not judge at all. Hang in there. Glad you bought some cute cloths for him!

Thanks everyone. I will try to update more tomorrow. It has been a crazy week. I am looking forward to the BBQ Saturday as we always like to have a Celebration BBQ for all of our babies. We throw it ourselves and all our friends are invited. It has become a tradition because we feel all babies need to be celebrated. :) The men really enjoy being part of a "baby shower" too because they never get to participate. :) I have always felt that DH should be included since he helped make the baby in the first place.

True! I have a friend at my mops group who envies her sister because of her relaxed attitude. She told a story of her church group getting ready to come over and she had asked her sister if she was going to clean and she said her sister looked at her puzzled and said why would I clean we all have kids and we're all friends. I sometimes wish I could have a not caring attitude but I'm to anal and clean from sun up till sun down. But I also don't work and have high respect for women who work and have to clean.

Maxim that's great you bought a couple things! The only other thing I can suggest is to not try and force yourself to come to terms with this in a certain timeline. Just let it happen on its own accord. Don't hate on yourself for feeling this way (and Shann, Kat and LMSM this is for you too [emoji173]) you're only human and we all struggle when we don't get something we want, especially when someone we know does, we all came to this site for the very reason of trying to get what we want. I have read many stories on here of GD but they all end the same, whether its prior to or after birth, mum and bub always bond and often so strongly that it takes mum by surprise xxoo

Maxim there's two message areas in tapatalk, chat and pm. I'm attaching screenshots so you can tell the difference just in case you aren't aware. I only ever see messages in chat by chance however I receive notification of pm's. The first screenshot shows the envelope icon in the middle of the screen and its how you access chat. The second screenshot shows the envelope to the right and that how you access pm's. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170928/f60f43c84194d38e42e4f348ba8c7df1.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170928/ea7c5d284321cfb7417be8301c28b64d.jpg

Mommy2apples you are gorgoues [emoji8] and your dh is one lucky man!! As for finding somewhere to hide it, hmmmm is there something he does routinely at home? Like a daily habit? Maybe you could stash it where he goes regularly but its out of sight. Will think on it some more....

Yes DH came with this time. Its so hard getting off days from work and then apparently doc was leaving for some trip/conference so we decided to go ahead with it today. Now back at work trying to catch up missed time. It's going to be a looong day. But thank you for the prayers ladies.
The thing is the amnio and tests can possibly tell me what baby has but i guess no one can tell me how gifted/special baby might be and i don't know if i am ready to cope with those needs. I am already so overwhelmed as is. The only good would be if tests come back as all negative but based on my knowledge and the findings i am highly suspecting Down's.

Oh blue, that really is not nice :( praying it works out for you. I understand what you mean about the extent of special needs etc. Tests just say yay or nay, not how mild or severe they could be.
My friend had to make a decision at 17 weeks pregnant when they saw the spine to abort because baby had severe spina bifida and may not even survive birth let alone ever walk or control its bowels etc. She said it was the hardest decision she ever made. Talk openly and honestly with your DH, don't let any person's opinions sway your thoughts or feeling.
Praying the amnio test brings back good news.

Bluebooties- What Pbn said. 🤞You stay strong my friend. I can't stop thinking about you. Know that I am
praying for you. Hugs.
Momma - Is there anyone who could help so that you can spend sometime with the baby? This may be a silly question because I am sure you would have tried everything. I can only imagine how hard it must be. How much time off will you have after delivery? Hugs. I wish and pray that something works out for you.

We are done with the move n it was so exhausting more for dh. But he took a nap and I couldn't. Now we r unpacking slowly.
Blue - I will be checking in whenever I get a chance.
Hope everyone is doing ok.

Nope. Still pregnant. Looks like my DD will have come and gone! I just hope she comes on her own. I won’t have the help should I need a C-section, and with 4 kids to care for...I try not to worry but it’s hard not to as each day passes without any sign. I’m walking, doing Yoga, acupressure, sex, ugh! Nothing is working! I really didn’t think I’d be late, since my last 2 were 8 and 12 days early. I guess I shouldn’t worry yet, Monday after my scan I’ll know just how long they will let me go.

See the thing that concerns me the most is she isn’t even in my pelvis. Like at all. She’s still floating above. If she doesn’t engage at all, I don’t think they will induce me. I mean what would be the point? I get regular contractions all the time and they stop because she doesn’t engage. I worry she will get too big and won’t be able to engage. Then I worry about autism. I know it’s silly, but there is a correlation to babies not engaging on their own and autism. Sigh.

There's a correlation between autism and babies who don't engage?? Never heard that before and I'm a teacher where they go through all the symptoms/signs/factors etc of autism.

Also don't a litnof babies only engage once labour actually starts?

Sky excited for ur scan in the 6th. Our board needs some happy news.

The MIL's are driving us crazy with their "but why" "how" "and what does it means". Also they both r convinced it must be a girl and that i am making up an excuse when i say i will look at sex when this uncertanity about baby's health r settled one way or another.

Bluebooties- You are such a gem! Here you are going through a massive amount of uncertainty with your sweet baby, and you are helping to ease my ridiculous, overdue mind! Thank you [emoji8]! Thank you to everyone!

My DH reminded me last night of our scare with DS2. We had to have a follow up scan to get better measurements at our NT scan. He came back with an abnormal nasal bone and a really thick Nuchal fold. Based on the bloodwork they did (Quad screen) we were told he had an 80% chance of having Downs Syndrome. We prepared ourselves. Well once we had wrapped our minds around that, at my anatomy scan, he was completely normal. I don’t think I could bring myself to believe it until I held him in my arms!

I’m hoping the same holds true for you and your baby! I’m praying that the genetic tests all come back normal.

So minor freak out. I don't want to tell dh because then he'll never touch me when I AM ready for this baby to come BUT I've been feeling pressure/cramping today and I thought I'd just "feel" my cervix since I remember doing this when ttc and it feels somewhat open and very mushy [emoji47] and I don't even know if I should tell the dr. Sounds crazy I know but they will make a huge deal about it and make me start coming weekly and put me on all kinds of more medicine and bed rest I'm sure but what do you all think? What would you do? Have the dr check you, just make sure dh knows not to release inside (only reason I've not said it yet is because I don't feel contractions like usual when he done it in past pregnancies), or third option uhh not sure what that is yet lol but maybe tell the dr and dh and not take more meds if prescribed just take it "easy"..... I have been seeing Weighted blankets like crazy. Or maybe I'm just freaking out for no reason

Ash I'd ring tell your dr and get checked out if he believes it necessary. Tell you doc if it is an issue that you'd prefer not to take too many meds and perhaps try bedrest first. Personally I would do whatever is recommended. If they say to take meds then take them. If something happens and you go into early labour it may be too late to do anything then, not worth the risk in my mind. Also can dh not use condoms?? Even with not releasing inside there will still be some 'leakage'. Maybe cut back on your workload too?

Pbn this is exactly what I'm afraid the dr will say. I will more than likely wait to say anything until I go back on the 9th but I really think that this cramping will pass like always I don't feel contractions though. And I'm sure I know what is causing this and it's not the little escapers it's the whole lot [emoji52] and it will not happen again. I'm just curious and this may be a stupid question but if/once your cervix softens/opens can it go back? And it's still high. When your in labor is it low?

Ash I don't know sorry [emoji853] I think you really are best off asking your dr. From the little I've read its more about how long/short cervix is on the inside as to how soft cervix feels on the outside. If he thinks it necessary I'm sure he'll send you for a scan for measuring before he goes ahead with a diagnosis and treatment plan as such.

Ash i remember u telling you live some distance away from the hospital. So here is what i think but rest is up to you. If this is infact early labor causing cervical dilation you would want to be checked out b4 full blown labor catches u off guard or ur water breaks or something. Plus you already have a history of early onset labor so better be prepared it wont hurt. U can always chose not to follow all of the docs recommendations but as a physician i would still encourage you to follow the docs orders [emoji4]

Also, wanted to add
I feel terrible for writing this but …right now I. just. can’t. I thought I was good – but am not – I get waves of wanting to cry ….GD was there both times before, and I got sort of past it (but then again, not really or I wouldn’t have invested myself so heavily in a sway etc.) but this time it feels so final that I may probably, almost certainly, never have a son, it stings so bad. I was soooo geared up for it to be a boy – I probably jinxed myself, bought some boy clothes, basically was in the mindset it could NOT not be a boy with all I had done.
It doesn’t help people’s comments are in the way – as much as I try to shrug it off – when I mentioned to my FIL that I was willing to be bet my SIL’s baby to be was a second boy – to which he straight away responded “oh no, I hope not, same gender siblings suck” – erm, how am I meant to take it, with 2 soon 3 girls?! I spent my evening sobbing….
I know this little lady will be a true sunshine and we’ll be crazy about her – but can’t help but feel somewhat helpless with my feelings, that I never will get to experience what having both a son and daughter is like. I guess that what we all want so bad, get the opportunity to have a bond with each gender & I know you get it - man, I never thought I would be sobbing over the gender of a healthy baby growing in me. I mean, what more could I ask for, right?! I feel so darn guilty and shallow and just can’t shake that but nor can I shake the sadness, either.

Bottom line – I will read you from afar until I feel a bit better and will keep myself in the lop of what is happening with you ^^
!

LMSM you sound like me but im wanting a girl. Theres nothing shallow about the way you feel, the guilt certainly makes it worse. Id always thought id have a mix of genders in my family...... 5 boys in and here i sit [emoji854] anticipating upcoming scans to see if finally we have broke the drought. I want a daughter for many reasons. But what ive been telling myself lately is if this is another sweet boy (i am so done after this) then i want to make sure that none of my lingering feelings of not having a dd get in the way of raising my sons. I want to make sure they are strong and independent. Which means ill need to work on myself a little and take some time somewhere for me. I recently picked up a book and started, i haven't done that in months. From experience with GD all i can say is it takes time. It certainly helps when your babe is born. I just picked out a boys name the other day as im already so convinced, and i did feel a little better like i was bonding already.

And other people's comments are the worst hence why only my bf and inlaws know. I have told my older boys and they are doing a good job of keeping it secret. We won't be telling anyone until we know the gender and are ready. We've faced far too many nosey, inconsiderate questions before.

LMSM-I just want to give you a great big hug! People just don’t realize that what they say can hurt someone so badly! I see how those comments would hurt terribly! You are not being selfish at all! The heart want what the heart wants! Give yourself all the time that you need, and please be kind to yourself. You are a great mom, and I know that no matter how you feel you will continue to do so! GD is a powerful thing and no one can say how you will feel in the future. I do know that those feelings will be separate from how you feel about your new little one when you meet her. Give yourself some time and your DH some time. Who knows what the future may hold that you cannot see or know right now. Just take each moment as it comes. Please know we all will be here waiting for you, should you need to process things or to vent.

(((Huge Hugs)))

Oh LMSM - Big hugs sweets. Anyone in your place will feel the same. You are a wonderful person. Imagine how horrible it was on my part to be disappointed with my first. I still feel the guilt so so so bad. But I felt it because dd was the 6th girl in my family between my two sisters and one brother and people won't stop with their comments. Once dh's brother in law who we visited for the first time said - Wow, all girls in your family no boy and he repeated it 4-5 times like we made a world record with girls. I felt shattered. And when I heard dd was a girl, I actually cried a lot. Dh got so mad because he loved that he was getting a girl. He said he was sad because I was disappointed at a time when we should be celebrating. And after she was born, there were people in my family who actually called to congratulate and said, how they wished god would have given us a son. Imagine the ruthlessness of people. So, I totally understand what you are feeling. I read this site day and night for months before actually starting ttc. My dh thought that I had lost my sanity reading so much. We fought because he wasn't as serious as I was about the sway. He would justify by saying that he doesn't care even if we have another daughter because daughters are the best. So, how could I have argued with that? I still did the best I could. And the most frustrating part of it all was when I actually got a bfp, each and everyone in his family mentioned how they pray it's a boy. He then realized that his family wants a boy so bad and they would be sad if it's a girl. And my family was all chilled out about it. They didn't even care about me not wanting to find the gender.
What I am trying to say is that I am so thankful for you all because I couldn't have shared it with anyone in the world. And finding out that one is having an opposite gender after swaying is twice as hard. Pls keep sharing with us. I know this journey would have been so scary and full of worries without you all. Being here is a blessing.
I am sorry for going on and on about me but gd is so real to me. After finding out dd's gender, People spoke to me like I was a poor woman who is so sad since she has so many girls in her family. Trust me those words hurt so bad. Just because I expressed my wish of having a boy in front of them sometime. These were my so called very close friends. That's why this time I made a promise to myself for not letting people throw a pity party for me and I decided to be team green even if I did find out the gender. I have a friend/neighbor who looked at one of my u/s picture with no nub just the upper part and said that she thinks it's a girl for me. People hit where it hurts. I didn't want them to have that kind of control and power over my life hence we are staying team green for them until this baby comes. I will only share it here after seeing with my own eyes.
The sad part of it all is that these people have no idea that their words could upset someone so so bad.
I wish I could give you a hug in person. The fact is that people won't even care after the baby is born but until they know the gender, they won't leave you alone.
Let yourself feel what you are feeling my friend and don't be so hard on yourself. Gd is real and is hard.
Lots of love.
