So I took a test today (11dpo) and got the faintest of faint lines. Is it my eyes playing tricks on me? Does this mean anything this early? I have a slightly irregular cycle and am not expecting AF for 3 to 5 more days.
I tried adding the picture to this post but it keeps saying upload failed ... ugh..

Oh I also have symptoms of a looming cold (headaches, muscle soreness, and congestion). Could a cold cause a false positive?
Greydore
October 16th, 2017, 07:14 AM
Sciencegirl I got my BFP with my second son at 11 dpo, and many others have as well. So it's definitely possible. A cold wouldn't cause a false positive. Test again tomorrow and hopefully it will be darker!

Best of luck! We are praying for a girl but of course are mainly hoping for healthy and happy. Unfortunately, I found this site a little late and based our sway off of mainly timing. Although I had coincidently lost a little weight leading up to DTD so maybe that helped.
Will this be your 1st child?

Yes, this would be our first child :o
Hope this is your girl.
Is cm a reliable indicator. I mean is there any difference between cm just before periods and in early pregnancy. This 2ww is killing me.

Was tiredness an early symptom for anyone here? Like truly exhausted. Because I could fall asleep right now at my desk. I got plenty of sleep last night so this just feels very odd.

I had lower back pain and cramping my whole 2ww. I am not sure if that was because of pregnancy or not though. I am about 12 dpo now and the exhaustion hit me like a brick wall today.
Sciencegirl- i wish you could post that picture! I would love to squint at it for you! Is similar to any of the other ones i posted?

With my first I texted him right away with the digital test ha, the second I waited a few days so my first could surprise him by wearing a big brother shirt, a couple months ago I told him same day with a little joke/poem and the test, but that ended in chemical pregnancy at 5.5 weeks. So I’m tempted to wait whenever I get the next positive to make sure it sticks. It could be hard though haha.

So my BBT is all over the place, I have no idea if I O'ed or not (I thought I did due to watery CM and feeling extra frisky). So we'll see if we timed things right or not. I was hoping for a BFP this month because of the due date (early July) I really don't want to be in the third trimester in August and September :/ way too hot and humid!

My period is due around October 28, so I'll test around then since I'm not sure when and if O happened. I had my copper IUD removed on 10/2, I didn't think it would affect my cycle since it's non hormonal but maybe it does? Idk.

Urgh longest 2WW ever. Feeling extremely anxious. Didn't even mean to try this month and also probably we missed the eggy anyway, but somehow I'm keeping myself awake at night wondering.
I can't do a test because I don't want to know something DH doesn't as he has no idea it's even a maybe.
AF was due today according to my app tracking but I don't really trust that as my cycles are irregular anyway. Who knows.
I want to be preggy so much but I am actually terrified if I am because it wasn't meant to happen yet.
I'm probably worrying for nothing anyway. Oh the rollercoaster!! [emoji33]
Off on holiday tomorrow , will delete Tapatalk to give myself a break from here.
Will report if AF crashes the party when we're back from hols. Good luck to all waiting !

Frankie - enjoy your holiday and try not to stress!!
BBB - I'm sorry about the limbo you're going through :( Please update us on what doctor says!!
Greydore - I know what you mean about the timing of a summer baby! I've always said I didn't want to have a baby in the summer b/c I didn't want to be in the 3rd tri during the HOT summer (although where I am it's hot and dry - so not quite as bad as hot and humid). Well, if we get pregnant soon it will be a summer baby - oh well I guess :) :) My first two are winter and spring babies so I guess at least it will be nice to have a baby in a different season!
Day 2 of Clomid WOO HOO!!! I don't know if I'm feeling any side effects or not - I can't remember what the doc even told me my side effects might be. I'm only on 50 mg so hopefully I wont have too much.
My temp was really high today on CD4! 97.7 which is a normal post-O temp for me. Would Clomid taken last night affect my temp? Or maybe it just hasn't dropped yet since AF started? The cycle in August that we got pregnant in (and m/c), I noticed temp didn't drop until like CD5 or 6. Is it normal to have a higher temp through AF?
Pbn3
October 18th, 2017, 12:01 AM
Abc totally normal for temp to remain on the higher side through af and also clomid *can keep your temps up as well.

Pbn and Greydore - Ok good to know!!! I'll see where it goes the next few days - My cycles are SO consistent (temps, time of O, etc.) that it will be interesting to see how Clomid affects them now!!
Pbn3
October 18th, 2017, 12:33 AM
Abc I found clomid didn't affect my cycles much at all! Still oed between cd13/14 right on time! It did seem to give me an extra day lp wise though from memory [emoji848] What opks are you using? I tried digis and would start cd9 and never had an issue. The dip tests I'd start cd10 though as I think its more common for clomid to cause a false positive with those. They say wait four days after last clomid pill to use opks which may be an idea seeing as you're taking yours at night. I used to take mine very early morning so I'd only wait three days and start opks on the 4th if not using digis :)

Pbn oh interesting! I forgot that you were on Clomid too! Doctor told me to start OPKs on day 8 since I have such short cycles - you think I may get a false positive? I'll be clomid through day 7. I've become more skeptical about OPKs anyways since I seem to O from 48-72+ hours after positive. I have the clear blue dual hormone and the regular clear blue digitals and am planning to use both. Do you think that will work? I don't like the cheapies/ non-digital ones as I can never get a test line as dark as the control line on those, so never know whether it's really positive or not.

October 18th, 2017, 12:59 AM
Well the cb dual hormone digis worked perfectly fine for me and the cycles I did take clomid I too from cd3-7 and started opks (digis) cd9. I never used cheapie opks either, the dip tests I used were an Ovuplan brand and they were great too! I'm hoping the clomid gives you a clear surge followed by ovulation within 48 hours after this time!!! I'd stick with the dual hormone ones as hopefully by testing both lh and estrogen you'll get a clearer result. By all means use the regular digis as back up to especially for the day following solid smiley on the dual ones as you won't be able to use the tester again until the smiley goes off screen after 48 hours :)

Question we are wanting to try for another boy as we lost our last one. Is it just enough by doing eod after and then at O to do once and then morning and night the next day and then back to eod. Eod sways blue in itself so any additional attempts at pos opk should just strengthen that. It's alot to ask though which is why alot of people hold off/lessen attempts until pos opk in order to get two hopefully three in when it counts. What bd pattern did you have last time? If you can, try and mimic it as best as possible maybe? So you feel you did your best to conceive blue again?

I wasn't temping before I think I O'ed, we were on vacation and I didn't want to stress about it. So there's not really a way to compare temps at all. I'm guessing when O happened due to CM and the negative OPK I got. I'm trying not to worry too much about my chart, I got pregnant the first time without knowing charting existed at all, haha.

Either you did o as per what's been allocated or alternatively perhaps you would have gotten a pos opk the day before the negative one and you are only 3dpo. When (what cd) did you notice a change to cm?

That's possible. I got the CM change on CD 15. I also forgot to add that the low temp on CD 18 was after working a night shift, so I'm not sure how that affects temp. If I am only 3 dpo, it looks like we missed the window this month.

If you had less sleep than usual and after being physical too (working a night shift) you'd expect your temp to be falsely higher not lower [emoji848] So cm changed cd15? Was it ewcm or watery cd15 and changed to creamy/sticky by cd16? Cant see entries for it on your chart and not overly familiar with kindara... sorry for all the questions!

Has anyone ever had round ligament pain during your TWW? I know it sounds crazy, but I've been having it on and off, especially rolling over in bed. I had it quite a bit with both of my boys so I know what it feels like. I'm 9 dpo(?) today got a Bfn on a frer. I've heard of some women getting a positive this early, but I never have.

Greydore - what are frer? Is that just a diff brand of preg test strips?
I have a pack of digital clear blue but I was wanting to save those since they're pricier, even though they claim you can get a positive up to 5 days before missed period which is what I'm at right now... I have a whole stack of about 20 of the wondfo strips because they came with the OPKs, so this morning I figured I could use one, but now I'm bummed that there wasn't even a faint line

Pinkfever frer is first response early result (pink box). They're by far the most popular early test but I think they give the worst evap lines, get you excited for no reason. I don't think the blue dye tests are quite as sensitive. I really like the cheap dollar tree tests for the price...when you're testing a ton you can can spend a lot to money!

11 dpo and another bfn this morning. I tested because of how bad my breasts hurt and the cramping. I got a BFP with my youngest at 11 dpo so I'm thinking I'm out. It wasn't even my Dr, Somehow I ended up booked in with another Dr. He said - we usually give it a year, I said yes but it's my age, I'm 38 now. No response. I really think once they find out you have 5 kids they don't care.

My DH's semen analysis results came back and he has a count of 99 million! Anyone know if this is considered higher than average? I read 15-300 million is "normal", but that's a huge range!! Trying to decide if we will have DH release shortly before our 1 attempt. With our m/c in August, we got pregnant with an O-2 attempt with him releasing on his own 14 hours before attempt. So I'm thinking we need to do that again maybe with even less time in between. Thoughts?

Hey all, hope I can still jump in here! I'm on CD36 of my very first cycle after my coil and it's been a weird one. FF has finally given me solid crosshairs and decided I ovulated on CD28 putting me at 8dpo today. I'm already going crazy with symptom spotting!
I had a massive temp drop yesterday on 7dpo and a tiny (tiny tiny tiny) bit of spotting and cramping, and now that my temp has risen back above the coverline I can't stop wondering if it meant implantation! Problem is I don't know what's normal for me as this is all uncharted territory (pun intended!) as I've never tracked anything before. I half believe that my body is just trolling me and I didn't even ovulate at all (it's DEFINITELY not a clear chart).
I've spent hours googling (honestly I got so little work done yesterday) and I know that temp dips can happen around this time whether you are pregnant or not, but sheesh... taking so much willpower not to start testing already!

Plasticserenity a dip like that below coverline IS something to get excited about from what I've seen over the past few years..... especially combined with some minor spotting/tinged cm. You could start testing tomorrow if you're not opposed to potentially wasting a test. If this is indeed a sign that implantation has happened you'd see a faint line by 2-3 days later, sometimes the following day, everyone's body/pregnancy is different. I will look forward to watching how this plays out over the next few days....

Oooo Pbn3 you're fueling my excitement! I have a whole bunch of internet cheapies so I'm not opposed to wasting tests at all. My aim was to try and hold out until the weekend to test but not sure I will make it that far.
When I told my OH that little eggy might have nestled in yesterday (he's way less of a nerd about TTC than I am, he's happy for me to play with graphs while he does his part of BDing on command :D) he just said "so shouldn't you take a test then, doesn't it tell you straight away now?". I wish it was that simple haha!

That's interesting Greydore!
I've been reading around the 'implantation dip' and the facts I'm clinging to most are what I read on the FF study (https://www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/Implantation-dip-study.html) - they looked at over 100,000 charts. Out of those that showed a dip around 7ish dpo (only 34% of all charts), about two thirds of them resulted in pregnancy, and one third didn't.
So until I learn otherwise, I'm telling myself I have a 67% chance to be pregnant!

Plasticserenity - welcome! I had a miscarriage in August but with that pregnancy, I had a very clear implantation dip at 9 dpo. At 7 dpo I would def say it's a great sign for you!!!!
M2A - YAAAY for the word "Pregnant"! Definitely confirmed now :) :)
BBB - I've had lighter, shorter periods swaying pink, but I also feel like I've just gotten lighter periods as I've gotten older (they were pretty heavy when I was younger!) And I've always had very short cycles even before swaying - as short as 21 days!! Maybe this was just a random thing for you this cycle.
Frankie welcome back!! Sorry AF found you but glad you have more time to work on sway!
So I'm on day 3 of "high fertility" on dual OPK. Bleh. I'm also testing w/ regular Clear Blue OPKs too. On day 12 of my cycle so surge should come soon but I'm getting impatient. Maybe the Clomid will push things back a little. Also - my stomach really is messed up right now. I had a bout of very random (sorry TMI) diarrhea yesterday morning and a few loose stools and stomach pain since then. Not sure if it's a stomach bug or my IBS flaring up. It's likely the latter - I'm prone to IBS and I've been trying to do more fiber & Miralax lately which has probably thrown things out of wack. Ugh.
Anyone have any thoughts on my post yesterday about DH's sperm count and if we should have him release before attempt? I don't know what to do! I feel like 99 million sperm count is pretty high and could hurt our girl sway!

Hey all!! I didn't I realize there was a 2ww board and have been posting on the TTC GIRL on by accidents!! Whoops! Congrats on all who got their BFPS and baby dust to everyone still working on it!!!
This is my second month TTC. Last month we had one attempt at a digital positive which I actually think was a false negative. I ended up having a 30 day cycle that month and a 27 day cycle the month prior. I have been totally inconsistent since doing the LE diet and don't know my body anymore.
This month I used regular opks. I had two that I saw positive. One on cycle day 17 and one on cycle day 19. 18 was negative. Cycle day 17 I only t eyed with fmu because I ran out and had to wait for my new pack to arrive in the mail. Cycle day 19 was fmu and all I could take because I was traveling that day. The day in between on cd 18 was negative with FMU afternoon and night urine all with proper holds. I also couldn't test until cd 20 at night because I was out of town and that was very Strong almost positive and then the next morning was positive.
Very confusing I'm sorry.
After that they went negative and all signs went away. I had good attempts around all possible ovulstion days.
On CD 27 I had some cramping and I was confused. I took an OPK and got a blazing positive like I've never seen. The test line was beyond darker than the control almost black. I've tested three times a day for the last 3 days and they've all stayed that dark each and every time.
If that were a premenstrual surge would t have gone away yet? I am getting BFNs on FRERS. One did have a faint line 24 hours later...but it was out of the time frame.
I'm now CD 30, which is when I got my period last month and I've been cramping since last night. Still no sign of AF. Wondering if you ladies have any insight or if this has happened to you before. I do not temp...yet lol. Thanks!!

Greydore do.you temp? How long is your lp usually?
Hi blushingbaby! If AF doesn't come maybe test tomorrow??
ABC.2606
October 25th, 2017, 03:31 PM
BBB I don't know if doc said total or per ml but he did say "Normal is above 20 million and your husband's is 99 million", so, I'm thinking that meant per ml. M2A I asked Atomic on another thread but she hasn't responded yet. She and I have both said that I'm being really "control freaky" about the sperm count thing and that stressing is terrible for my sway - it's just the one element I'm really hung up on. Not worried right now about my diet, exercise, I'm not bothering w/ antihistamines or gels, etc. But I think this all stems from the fact that DH and I are just clearly very fertile - we got pregnant on the first try w/ our 2 boys and second try w/ our m/c in August. My tests last month all came back as normal and now DH maybe has a "higher than average" sperm count - so clearly, we're still very fertile! Also b/c of my vaginal prolapse, I have a lower sitting cervix (ie shorter path for the sperm to travel!), I make lots of EWCM, and my cycles are so super consistent and have not changed much at all in all my months of swaying. So I feel like we have to do a last minute reducing of his sperm count for our attempt to up our chances of a girl. Ugh I don't know - I am stressing about this. I know getting Clomid this cycle was a big win, but I feel like it might be more effective if I'm on it for a few months first so I also think that if we do take the approach of DH releasing shortly before our attempt this cycle and it doesn't work, I wouldn't be too disappointed b/c I will get Clomid again next month and that will be the 2nd month on it, which may be better for my sway. On the other hand, I'm sick of waiting, sick of the sway diet & so much exercise, and just want to be pregnant. I also feel like the past few weeks my diet and exercise have been really strong and maybe this, w/ being on Clomid, is really my month to get my baby girl!
Yup - I'm over-stressing right now :)
As far as DH doing a quick release though before our attempt, there is this study that was done that shows doing that may actually up our chances of conception: Having sex twice within an hour TRIPLES men's fertility | Daily Mail Online (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-3340440/Having-sex-twice-hour-make-men-fertile.html) So that makes me think we should try a hurry up release this month. I know - from personal experience w/ DH :) - that it will reduce the amount of semen he releases & thus likely the number of sperm, but according to this small study that was done, even if it reduces sperm count it may actually up the chances of conceiving b/c the sperm will be fresher/more mobile.

Abc hang in there! I've had between 2-5 days with flashing smiley so don't be concerned and just think of it as your egg preparing for release for that much longer and clomid is giving your body a really good o!!! I clearly remember my first cycle on clomid and the difference at o time. I got to a point I was very uncomfortable like I was going to literally burst [emoji23] it lasted a whole day from memory and defiantely peaked. The following cycles weren't near as bad so I think the response settled down once it (clomid) was in my system. Not saying you'll experience the same as everyone is different but may be a sign if you start feeling a tightness. As for you dh sperm count, from memory he'd released the same day as you bded your bfp cycle? Have I got that right? If you were wanting to do the same could you have him release the morning you get a solid smiley and have your attempt that night? Or have him start releasing daily now until go time? I didn't read that study you linked sorry but from every study I've read it takes 48 for swimmers to reach maximum health again which is why eod during fertile window is the go to for couples ttc instead of every day which lessens your odds as hubbys supply doesn't have time to renew to max load/health.
Blushingbaby almost all opks bar the Clearblue dual hormone digis cannot be used with fmu as they can result in a false positive. Did your opks come with instructions? Usually the recommendation is to test between 11am (at the earliest) to 3/4pm. Most test between 1-2pm. The fact you had an opk with test line darker than control line is a good sign. Maybe try and do a 1pm test next to get an idea. Opks will stay positive if they are picking up hcg rather than lh however you would have a decent line on a hpt by the time an opk would be doing this.
Going back to have a propee read as I just skimmed before...

Pbn - thanks for your encouragement and advice :) Yes - you're right... With our BFP cycle in August, DH released on the morning I got a solid smiley, and then 14 hours later we had our attempt. So I know it's possible for us to get pregnant w/ him releasing less than 24 hours before our attempt. Maybe we'll just do that again. I asked him today if he thought he could release & then attempt in less than a 6 hour period and he's not sure he can - he actually doesn't have that high of a libido which is why I'm kind of surprised at how good his sperm count is!! He's definitely not a high libido, high testosterone guy.
BBB I know the internet can be such a terrible thing for one's mental sanity sometimes!!! :) :) :)

Greydore I know you said cm changed cd16 but maybe you geared up to o but didn't release until cd19 making you only 9dpo? Both scenarios are possible I guess and its more waiting now to see... how long is your lp usually or cycle length if your unsure of lp?
Abc I def wouldn't push for a release so close to an attempt as you run the true risk of dh not being able to perform/release in you right when it counts and it would be devastating to have this happen your fiest cycle on clomid. I wouldn't ask him to release any earlier than morning of solid smiley. By that evening you'd have alot more chance of a successful attempt especially considering his low libido. If he feels pressured about releasing and dtd it may even affect his libido even more negatively....

Ugh. So.
Took my temp this morning and it's down. When I put it into FF, it completely reassessed the interpretation for the month. So now it thinks I'm not 8 dpo, I'm 15 dpo. But it's such an unclear chart, honestly doesn't even look like I ovulated.
My Ovulation Chart (https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/6a5a33/)
Anyway, with more spotting and cramping this morning, it feels like AF is coming so I'm inclined to believe it - might be CD1 today. So, obviously it wasn't an implantation dip, it was AF and I'm out for this month. Not only am I not pregnant this month, but I now I get to deal with my first AF in 15 years, and from what I remember from before BC they were hellish.
I'm really annoyed with myself. Feel like such an idiot for letting myself get excited. It takes normal healthy couples up to 12 months to conceive and I've had tears in cycle 1! Ladies who do this month after month are absolute warriors, so much respect for you all.
Time to knuckle down with my sway and I will see you ladies in the November thread. Fingers crossed for a normal cycle next month xx

Thank you all for the kind words. I'm still in a very grumpy mood today but I'm embracing it and eating all the chocolate, and will just pull my socks up tomorrow :)
Yes Pbn3 it was my first cycle off the coil. I know it can make your cycle do some crazy things so fingers crossed it's out of my system now! I do plan on using OPKs next month. I actually started using them this cycle, but stopped when FF first thought I'd ovulated (seemed right too, I'd had a bit of EWCM and a bit of a temp shift) even though I never actually got a positive result. But then FF changed its mind about 5 times throughout my cycle! I was gonna do E4D for the first month anyway so just went along with that.

Greydore the digital ones work best for me, but they're more expensive. I use Clear Blue - both the regular and advanced (dual hormone) ones. I can never get a line as dark as the control on the cheapies and so I can't interpret it. Digital takes out the guesswork :)

Is that really low for 4 weeks for a beta level? 49?

M2A - Gotcha. Your number seems fine but as others said the one number itself doesn't say much. My HCG @ 4 weeks in August was lower-ish but my progesterone number was terrible and my HCG increased less than 60% in 48 hours - so from all 3 numbers it was pretty clear things weren't going right. Hoping your next HCG and your progesterone number gives you more reassurance!

Robin hi!! It's great to see you back! Great news that you have 1-2 eggs at the ready [emoji3] everything crossed that one or both become your rainbow baby/s this cycle!
Greydore sorry to hear af arrived xxoo Give yourself a day of treats and relaxation then chin up and onwards and upwards tomorrow. I used to like both the clearblue dual hormone digis because they use fmu and there was no need to hold, worry about urine concentration etc but I also liked a dip brand called Ovuplan. You used a float to hold the test stick in the urine sample (collection containers, 10 tests and floats all for $20 in Australia). They were really easy to read, the dye was nice and dark and I always got a clear positive with them doing just a 2 hour hold and restricting fluids for 3ish hours. You may be able to order them online. Are you interested in using fertility friend for charting at all? It may just be because I'm used to it but it's so much clearer and easier to read than any other charting app I've come across. Something to consider anyway [emoji4]

Girlsway I got a BFP at 11 dpo. It was faint so I doubt it probably would've been negative at 10 dpo. I've seen some women get bfps as early as 8, but that seems like you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

Girlsway - creamy, white CM was a very distinct, very early first symptom of pregnancy w/ my two boys. Interestingly - when I had my m/c in August, I don't remember having it and thought at the time that it was odd I didn't. My earliest BFPs were 10 dpo. 10 days on a FRER/early detection test is pretty common. Some seem to get one at 9 dpo too. Good luck!!!!

October 27th, 2017, 03:43 PM
Greydore my temps would only drop down to normal pre o range after af finished so its pretty normal. Also you may be possibly be 3 days less dpo than what you thinking. What cd is it today? Frim memory I think you said your cycles are usually 29-31 days?
Girlswaylondon creamy cm and what seemed alot of it got me excited for nothing several cycles so please don't get your hopes up on it as a proper symptom. I really hope in your case it is but just don't bank on it is all [emoji173] As for testing, as Greydore said some people have gotten bfps at 8dpo but it is super early. If you want to avoid the heartache of seeing a bfn then hold off until at least 10dpo. If you can handle seeing bfns then you could start at 8dpo. I never got a faint line until 9/10dpo except for ds2 who was 8dpo. That was using frers though. It's definitely better to wait so you dont obsess over a ?maybe? line but I was never able to myself and found myself in the same situation of obsessing cycle after cycle after cycle [emoji23] but I was a self proclaimed poas and knew full well what I was letting myself in for my testing so early....
Oh and to answer if lp has anything to do with when you should test the answer is no. It's when implantation occurs that determines when you'll get a bfp (usually 2 days after implantation you'd get a faint line on a sensitive test and implantation *generally* takes place 6-10dpo)

Pbn I'm thinking you were right and that I'm only 11 dpo. If I was 14, I should've definitely had my period by now and my cycles usually err on the longer side of normal. I'm just assuming I'm out because our BD husband was possibly 5 days(!) before O. So I'm kind of just preparing for af to come.
