Hugs ladies. So sorry you all are getting the gender comments too. I had a rough day with it at church and they have no idea how much it made me cry. It started with a pregnant woman wearing a shirt that said "It's a girl". Ugh.

TTCblue – CVS requires a sample taken from your tummy/cervix, not your own blood via the usual arm blood sample so it couldn’t have been cvs they did for you??
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chorionic_villus_sampling
Keeping our FX for you and your little man!

Bluebooties – I would take that as a compliment too – I am huge, people reckon I am ready to pop! lol
Hope you feel better soon – working, young kids to mind plus a pregnancy does take it out of ya!

Kat – big hugs my dear :hugs: I can so, so so understand….
:hugs: to all of you that also have gotten the stupid comments, once again.
Gosh how insensitive people are – before I even had kids myself, never would it have crossed my mind to make such a comment to a person about their family composition –it makes my blood boil soooo bad! I am at the point where I think I will become really nasty to anyone that dares make any more comments like that to us – especially with my girls there…so rude, so stupid, so insensitive. They clearly don’t realise the hurt or damage they can cause…

I got a couple comments from people at church today I’m sure they mean well but it still irritates me he says to ds1 your world is about to change BIG time with a girl in the house... even one girl will change the entire dynamic of your house and your world is about to be flipped upside down.. [emoji19] really? That’s a wonderful thing to say to my eldest. And someone else asks how she will even survive in a house full of boys. Well pretty sure our house will be just fine the boys know there is a girl coming. I’ve come to accept the fact she will more than likely fit in just fine with her brothers (aka Tom boy) and be able to hold her own just fine. People just don’t tthink before they talk

sorry everyone's getting these stupid comments :( when i just had the boys and used to get all the "dont you wish you had a girl" type comments 24/7 i was never shy of pulling out the "we have a girl but she passed away" line, that soon shut them up but maybe it was a bit harsh of me!!

Ash when i was pregnant with #5 (my living DD1) i had a midwife say "how is a girl going to fit into this house?!" (4 boys) i did reply with something along the lines of "well we've been waiting for over 4 years for her since our first baby girl passed away" and safe to say she didnt comment again but it shouldn't have to come to that really, people should just be happy for you or keep their mouths shut!! girls are different to boys, its a very different experience just dressing a girl for example but your world isnt going to implode because your having a daughter you guys will be fine and she will fit right in perfectly :)

I had a rough night. Out of the blue the though of me with possibly 4 kids and likely 4 girls came into my head. I so deeply regretted ever having come across this site and getting the hope for even the third. How happy was i with 2 kids. Now i am at the verge of having 4 potential girls there upbringing education marriage all the stress and expenses ! I though of all our friends who stopped at 2 and of how smart a choice they made. I know kids r a blessing but then like they say "u must cut ur dress according to your cloth". 3 was a stretch for me and 4 is just too much !
Sorry for the vent but i had a very difficult night with all these thoughts and had to let them out.

srg oh wow!! so so close!! we have no names picked out either!! im sure you will find the perfect one but it is a stressful thing especially when the clock is ticking and you cant find ones that fit, we had that with our youngest and im not keen to repeat it!!

Hugs Bluebooties, I'm sorry you are feeling so down. I hope something happens in your day today to brighten things [emoji274]

Srg omg less than 2 weeks [emoji50][emoji50][emoji50] I would be freaking out to lol!! I plan on writing a list with when at 4 weeks to go with what I want to get done each week. Eg, clean car seat and install, clean pram, clean and make up bassinet, clean cot and get ready, wash ring sling, wash cot mosquito (cat [emoji192]) cover, write list for hospital bag and pack, you get the gist. Then I can put it on the fridge and cross things off as they're done. Maybe you can do the same but allocate to daily goals (just a couple a day)?

I should have the playroom finally finished mid next week!! It's all painted ready to move back in but giving the paint a week to set before I add my wall stickers. They boys nanna is getting them bean bags for Christmas which will be a perfect addition!! Cant wait to post some pics! I've also done a little mini makeover in my ensuite. Will post pics when I get home from town this morning :)

Bluebooties – the ups and downs are so normal – and you have been through a lot of emotional moments with a rollercoaster pregnancy, how normal to feel the way you do.
I think we all have bouts of panic at the thought of adding another… doesn’t mean we won’t cope once bub is here. Hope you feel better soon- remmeber to be kind to yourself!

SRG – woohoo, so close!!! I’m sure you’ll get everything that is essential sorted soon my dear!

PBN – exciting about things falling into place – well done you! Looking forward to the pics ^^
Oh and when you get to that point in your checklist, fyi - to wash the ring sling make sure you only use liquid detergent an nothing with optic brighteners – Earth’s choice is ok I think but most other brands won’t be, so double check…otherwise it will make the fabric way too slippery ;) You can cover the rings with a sock so it doesn’t bang in the machine ;)

22 weeks now, and I had a moment of countdown yesterday – 18 weeks to term, but she could arrive at 37 weeks and be ok, so really, only 15 weeks to go before it would be ok for her to come (and it is likely she wouldn’t go to 40+ weeks, DD was 40+6, DD2 38+6). So just over 3 and a bit months – and I have noooothing ready – we don’t even have a tradie sorted to fix up the new room, which is THE big ticket items so the rest can be done (walls need to go up to create a new room in which M will move into so E can move into hers and I can claim the nursery for DD3). And with Xmas around the corner, I have a feeling it just won’t be done before the new year – which was my initial timeframe so I don’t have to deal with this, dust and mess in my last trimester… sigh luxury problem, I suppose lol
Oh and we won’t buy a new car after all – hubby is just too unsure with his role (he works in not for profit and it is a challenging time to get funds in so he worries the company may need to close in the next year if plans don’t pay off) – so will have to make do with ours (DH has a company car that is the same as mine). Will hence need 3 super narrow carseats that could fit at the back….one fun challenge too lol we will have to go shopping for that soon as well. I can’t remember when the big franchises usually have sales on things such as carseats now ^^ I was looking forward to a new car but I guess the prospect of driving a monster of a people mover dampened it anyways – might have to be a bit later :P

Thanks for the washing tips LMSM!! I can get a liquid earth choice from woolies so I'll be sure to use it! I hear you on squishing in three car seats in the back seat too [emoji23] Luckily ds1 is in a booster now and by putting him in the middle we can get our same car seats for 0-4/8 eother side. I am NOT looking forward to my boys sitting that close together as even though they should be out of arm reach now they somehow engage their inner go go gadget arms to hit each other, or look at each other which apparently is another reason to fight [emoji30][emoji23]

Kat - I usually throw out some snarky comment when someone says something about my 3 girls. I'll say "Oh yea I know it's terrible I'm having a heathly baby after a miscarriage." Or "We tried for a baby and we got just what we wanted." I'm already trying to come up with some good ones for after the baby is born.

Bluebooties - Take it as a compliment. I had someone (when I was about half way) say "Any day now right?" I'm due in Feb so no. I struggle with the thought of adding a 3rd baby into the mix, not so much on the gender subject but more because we have a nice routine of running around like headless chickens right now and a baby is going to throw a wrench in the routine. Now I guess we'll run around like a headless-one footed chicken.

Ash - I probably would have said any gender baby changes the dynamic of a home but I have no "nice" filter only a sarcastic one haha.

SRG - Thats so exciting that you're almost there. A name will come to you soon, I'm sure. I'm just starting my every other week appointments and trying not to countdown.

PBN and LMSM - I'm also dreading putting all 3 kids in the car. My 2 also hit each other or touch each other when the're too close. But my oldest isn't in a carseat any longer so I won't have to worry about squeezing 3 car seats but my youngest is in a booster.

I'm waiting on my glucose results from yesterday but boy oh boy are my shoulders sore from the tdap and flu shot. I also threw up this morning and I'm not sure if my morning sickness is coming back or if it's a reaction to the shots. I'm also very tired, I could nap at my desk.

Momma - the soreness from the tdap is no joke!! My arm was killing me!
So I passed the glucose (barely - 131 and 135 and under is passing) but I’m anemic which doesn’t surprise me. With my low blood pressure and now anemia y’all can imagine how tired I am [emoji24] Anyone have anemia and take a supplement they like? I’ve read good things about floradix, thought I’d try that. I’m already scared about the constipation but this stuff is supposed to be not as bad.

kat yay for passing :D but im sorry your not feeling great, ive taken iron tablets with all mine from about 33(ish) weeks on wards because with having homebirths i dont want to risk being anaemic before the birth and then not coping with the blood loss after and also with having a lot of kids to look after i cant afford to feel awful for weeks after delivery due to low iron if i can possibly help it!! i find them ok, they arent my favourite things in the world but i can live with the side effects for a few weeks, i hope you find one that works for you it sounds like you really need it xx

Mommaxo3 my arm was so sore when I had my flu shot and I feel so bad I’m making all my boys get one tomorrow!
Kat I was slightly anemic and just take a cheap iron sup. I also have low bp seems every visit it’s 110/60 and I’m so tired all the time! And my ob nurse told me to take one colace per day and if I had issues do two or even 3/day.
Had one of my best visits today. I’ve lost 3lbs which is perfectly fine because I’m overweight anyway. My last shot is indeed December 12th [emoji53] which is scary but glad I don’t have to pay for anymore. And belly is measuring a tad under rather than 2 weeks over like i was. So maybe I will in fact have a little gal like my Boys. For some reason I’m terrified she’s going to be a beast lol. And I had my platelets rechecked last week and they’re back up so no worries about that anymore. Eeekkk... 32w1d today!

I had a hard fall yesterday but am fine and bub has been moving so I'm not concerned. Cant believe how unco I am [emoji23] I was talking with another mum at school pick up and we had walked to the bottom of a cement ramp leading out of the school while our combined 5 kids were running around playing chasies (in the school grounds near us, we could see them) Anyway we called for the kids and as I looked at ds2 he suddenly starting screaming and I knew straight away he was being bitten by something (I suspected the large green ants I've seen in the garden beds as that is near where he was) but also had the panicked thought 'what if its a spider'. So carrying my handbag, a bag with recipe books AND ds1's school bag I've sprinted up the ramp and turned into the open gate and went down like a sack of potatoes at full (pregnant) speed [emoji23] you know when you KNOW you're going but cant do anything about it [emoji23] Luckily my palms and knees bore the brunt before I fell forward onto my tummy/side and half face planted into the grass. Anyway I've jumped up and wobbled to ds2 who another lady was helping by that stage, ripped off his shirt looking for ants but he only had one left stuck to his neck thankfully. The other lady had already brushed some off him. Then came the 'omg are you ok??!! Are you hurt? Did you land on your stomach? Do you need to sit down' from a couple mums. It was an absolute debacle [emoji23][emoji23] My legs were abit wobbly but I think it was more from adrenaline worrying about ds2 than the fall lol. Amazing how mothers instinct overrides common sense!!! And at the moment I'm flat out walking at a moderate pace, how on earth was I able to run like that [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Momma bear to protect her cub would run like Bolt if needed, I reckon ;) is DS2 ok? Gotta love living in Oz and all the wonderful fauna :P

Ash – you are so not overwight hon, hope you don’t lose too much weight either eh? Make sure you don’t starve yourself!!!

Kat – great for the glucose results but no fun having such low BP, makes one soooo tired!!! Anything to do to get it up a bit??

Mommaxo3 – just laughed out loud with your one-legged headless chook comment – ain’t that the truth?? Lol

Oki doki – DD1 got into school – I will have a Preppie starting January! She is so excited – and I am going to ball my eyes out lol

And I will start thinking about the GTT – blah – probably will aim for before Xmas festivities to be safe lol

How exciting your dd is starting prep Lmsm!!! It really is a bittersweet moment. I cant believe how much my first baby has grown this year in all ways! You will notice a big difference! I said to dh on his first day that they should have a room connected to the classroom with a two way glass so us parents can sit and watch them and be there if they need us [emoji23][emoji23] I know I nearly tripped over my bottom lip on the way back to the car that first day [emoji23]

So I'm in the middle of a nesting frenzy [emoji38] have just gone through all our medicine/first aid boxes and places (yes there were several) and have thrown out a whole bag of expired crap! I now have a basic first aid box, a container for commonly used panandol and hubbys sinus/antihistamines and a cold/flu/other meds all in the one cupboard. My paper plates, plastic cups, 10000 napkins, and 20000 plastic knives and forks and other misc are all in three containers instead of all jammed together in my top pantry shelf (where I couldn't see properly so would keep adding to things I already had [emoji23]). Now I've got gkassware all over the bench as I thought why not start wiping out all the cupboards and doors while I'm at it! All this began because I went looking for something that bugger me if I can remember now what it was [emoji23][emoji23] HELP!!!!! Nest away – it’ll be that much less stuff to worry about once Bub arrives, plus it’s just soooo much easier to keep on top of things once they are well organised...
I need to do a massive cull and reorganise – I have my 1st clinic appointment mid morning on the 14th of December, hence not worth going back to work that day.. I am going to do some Kmart boxes and organisers shopping just for the purpose of being an OCD organiser as will have a few hours all to myself, for once lol

Oh yes I will cry so bad when M starts (I’ve told hubby that he will need to be there for moral support after we drop her off so he doesn’t just rush to work after) – I mean they look so little in their uniforms, and they are too in certain ways – and M is far from the smallest in the kids I’ve seen though she probably will be the absolute youngest at Prep lol
Can’t wait to see class compositions early December to see if her little friend is with her or not ^^

Edit: did you find said nail clippers?? lol

Hi ladies, sorry I haven't checked in for a while. Work has been busy! 2 and a half weeks left, bub will then be a week and half after that. Nothing is set up (thanks to my husband when I need him to help!) I'm actually feeling quite stressed, angry and disorganised. My bag isn't packed and the last 4-5 days I've had terrible consistent braxton hicks but I just don't have time to pack anything (our weekends are full all the way until the baby is born!!)
I'm still down on myself if I get a failed sway - and I may have a successful one but I just don't feel I'd be that lucky.

Uuuggh. Enough of my rant! How is everybody doing? Have I missed any big announcements or anything interesting?

Ash whats considered normal blood pressure? mine is almost always either 100/60 or 110/60 when im pregnant and its always been put down as normal? i dont think she will be a beast haha if she stays in till 37+ weeks i reckon she'll be in the 6lbs range :)

Kat - Glad you passed! The arm i got the flu shot in hurts worse today than the tdap but i'm still not feeling well and overly tired. Work is killing me this week.

Ash - my kids got their flu shots 2 weeks ago and now I feel so bad that I made them get it lol. I'm glad things are calming down for you health wise since you're getting so close. You're also not overweight. And I'm nervous my baby is going to be huge too as my 2nd was 8lb 5 oz and she seemed so large and heavy when they handed her to me. I hear babies get heavier the more you have but this isn't true for everyone. I'm going to have a 10 pounder.

Pbn - Your sense of humor over your fall is great. I'm relieved that the baby is moving and ok though. Uncooridnation is a staple of pregnancy and I'm not too coordinated on a normal day lol. I jealous of your energy. Everyone mentions nesting and I've never experienced this unless my nesting comes in the form of the way a dog turns a few times in bed before laying down.

LMSM - You will cry when she goes off to the school the first day or so and it doesn't get easier as the next kid gets to that point. You get better at faking its ok lol. With my 2nd I cried after I started walking away from school!

My doctor mentioned Monday that they would consider an induction at 39 weeks. I said in the beginning of my pregnancy I didn't want an induction as I've already had 2 and would like to go naturally for once but I also don't want to go overdue again. I don't think I can have both. I'm even considering the induction because the sciatica is so bad lately. I even asked about the red raspberry leaf tea and my doctor said no. I've read so many health benefits for it and still no. I'm definitely disappointed.

Dancing we all can just hope and pray we get our desired genders.

PBN – sounds like you will have the house revamped in no time :D
If it can make you feel any better, I have been looking for a document for the last few days (to claim my scan on Medicare) and for the life of me cannot find it – it’s driving me mad! Lol My forgetfulness is enraging, can’t stand myself for it :P

Bluebooties – oh yes, my OCD makes me go berserk when I see the house – I need to cull, cull, cull – and reorganise, it’s weird but I love it :D

Dancing – sounds like hubby needs to pull his finger out and get going – I mean, that’s the least he can do, right?!
Is there ANY way you could decline some of these outings on the WEs that you have planned? To allow at least you some time at home to get things done?
I have a feeling you will be lucky, - all the last blue sways results have been successful ones, so don’t see why you wouldn’t be. We’ve had enough failed ones that I think stats should work in your favour ;)

Ash- it’s miss E taking up space from your stomach, you probably aren’t as hungry – I reckon she will be a small lady anyways, you tend to have smaller bubs, and born early so there is no reason to think you will have a whopper/beast baby ^^ (I, however, think I can expect a chubby “beast” haha)

4b2p – blood pressure when pregnant is a different range from non-pregnant normal range – sounds like yours is perfect ;)
Normal Blood Pressure During Pregnancy - New Kids Center (http://www.newkidscenter.com/Normal-Blood-Pressure-During-Pregnancy.html)

mommaxo3 – haha each person nests differently (and like you, I turn in bed several times before settling in haha).
Oh yes, will cry so bad when she starts school – will do my best at being brave in front of her though! I will be taking that first day off work ,so that I can go get her at pick-up time, and will be counting the hours until that – you betcha I will be doing lots of cleaning/organising to keep me busy :P
- You will cry when she goes off to the school the first day or so and it doesn't get easier as the next kid gets to that point. You get better at faking its ok lol. With my 2nd I cried after I started walking away from school!
Is your Dr not willing to let you try to go into labour naturally? RRL, especially if you have a history of going past your DD may not be bad, actually – it will help get your body in optimum shape – and it seems eating 6 dates a day from about 32-33 weeks is great at getting labour going by itself ;) just sayin’ ^^

When your kids finished up at kindy – what presents did you give educators?
M has been at daycare for close to 4 years, so wanted to give a gift that can be shared between all of them – but also, a specific gift for the teachers she had this year :) any ideas?
I know they get heaps of mugs, edible stuff and whatnot – would love for it to be enviro-friendly, useful, thoughtful….

Ok, we are off for a couple of days – since we won’t be going away over the summer – we are taking a few days on the coast as of tomorrow, back Sunday – not sure I’ll have Wifi ^^
So take care of yourselves, and hope to have news of babies arriving ^^

mommaxo3 why have they said no red raspberry leaf? i wasnt sure about it so i wasnt going to take it this time (ive never taken it before) till i saw my midwife and she was like i 100% want you on it from 34 weeks, so im on the tablets, though its not to try and make baby come sooner its just to try and do everything i can to minimise blood loss due to the whole "had SO many babies" thing!!

LMSM thanks for the link :) i was just confused why they had said 110/60 was low to Ash

4blue2pink I consider mine “low” I guess because both of my parents are on bp medicine and so are a ton of other in my family so when they all pass around the blood pressure cuff (because we’re weird like that) at Sunday dinner [emoji23][emoji23] I always have the lowest.

Bluebooties-I'm on the fence about it. I really wanted to go myself this time around but I know how miserable I'm going to be as I pass my due date. I still have a lot of time to make my decision.

LMSM - The doctor will let me go naturally if I want to I just don't want another vacuum birth end up being induced regardless after 41 weeks because my body doesn't go to go on its own. Plus the induction would make scheduling time off of work easier. My maternity leave doesn't kick in until a few weeks AFTER the baby is born so any time I take before the baby comes is either unpaid or vacation time and we don't get a lot, I have 6 of 8 days left to use. My kids usually made the teacher some type of ornament (especially since it's Christmas time here) or a pencil holder (with pencils in it).

4blue2pink - RRL tea seems to be more widely accepted amongst midwives than doctors. I assume because they can't charge you for it. No herbal tea but yes to Pitocin!

Honestly I think I'm going to get the tea anyway and still take it behind everyone's back. I'm just going to get the capsules since it'll be easier to hide lol. I was surprised she said no to it since it appears to be a 50/50 shot it'll help.

mommaxo3 i was nervous taking the tablets because ive never taken them before and im not a huge fan of any type of meds especially in pregnancy but i can honestly say they arent giving me any symptoms at all which my midwife said was right, she said if they caused cramping/contractions then id have to stop taking them. im on 2 tablets a day and its the Nature's Aid ones im taking, who knows if they will do anything at all for me but i guess they are worth a shot!!

its crazy isnt it, Dr's are all yes yes yes to all these strong medications but its no no no to herbal tea/tablets :-/ at the end of the day it is your decision and you do what is right for you :) im sorry you had to go through a vacuum birth :( the thought of assisted deliveries either vacuum or forceps terrify me, fingers crossed you get a really easy quick delivery this time

I took the RRL tea last time and nothing happened.
I guess it doesn't hurt to take alternative medicines but you need to understand that these have not been studied and researched so if side effects happen then they r on you. I guess no physician will willing say go for it they will say we do not recommend since we dont have much data on them but if you want to take then take at your own risk. At least thats what i say to my patient.

But i took it myself last pregnancy and felt nothing at all.

I'm flat out as I only have 2 weeks left of work left and SO MUCH to do!!! Plus I have about 25 Christmas doll orders to complete.... on the sidelines I'm trying to get Xmas shopping done too. Enough about me...
After Xmas I can be an active member again.

Honestly, I’m super nervous about everything, but I know it will be fine. I’ve had four csections before, but I’m still a little apprehensive about the surgery. I’m really feeling the idea that I only have five days left of being pregnant EVER since I’m getting a tubal too. It’s the finality of no more babies, no more chances to have a boy, etc. it’s a lot of feelings.

SRG – can’t wait for you to announce the birth of bubba- though I know it is daunting and you have a zillion things to do before, you will totally ace it! :D
I can understand that mix of feelings, and the finite feeling with pregnancy, babies and kids… :hugs: I can’t quite give up hope on a last child, though I know hubby isn’t 100% sold, so this may still be my last and I dread ever having to admit that it is it. I think I would honestly have way more kids if finances allowed but being so far from any support and a husband that is already feeling stretched with 2 soon to be 3, I think 5 or 6 may not work alas.
Some women say they do get that feeling of being “complete’ once that last bub is born – I hope you feel at peace and complete, too, once she is there :awe:

Bluebooties – I think RRL doesn’t have a visible effect per se – it does tend to make labour more effective, by toning the uterus, but if you have an effective uterus to start with, it probably won’t really show… iykwim?
Like 4b2p, due to fast labours, am considering it in order to help with the post-delivery contractions – but last time, it was back in place a few hours post labour, under fundus height – so low the middie struggled to find it lol so probably won’t go down that route, maybe after birth though, to help tone the lot? :D

My littlest girl has been unwell over the WE :( – intermittent fever and feeling off, waking up lots (I’ve been up for good since 4 am after multiple wakings) sigh lol I wonder if her last 4 teeth (molars) could finally be on their way – she had similar symptoms teething previously but won’t let us look in her mouth…so who knows! Lol
I do truly admire solo mums (all the more whilst preggers!) that do this alone day in day out – at least was able to call hubby to get the Panadol ready for her in the middle of the night while I held her…

Blue - I drank a couple of cups so far and have had no contractions or anything at all. I would've stopped if I contracted but nothing so far.

PBN - I hope your delivery goes as smooth as a csection can. I'm having my last as well but I'm not ready to tie my tubes. We are using the pull and pray method since I've yet to find a birth control that doesn't react abnormally to my body.

LMSM - I hope your little one feels better. This is such a sickly season. It definitely takes a strong woman to do things alone. I left my ex when my girls were 5 and 1 but was single parenting years beforehand while we still lived together anyway because he was drunk all the time and highly unreliable. I'm in awe of my current DH with the way he is with my girls and they aren't even his. He's an amazing man.

I have to share a funny thing my DH asked the other day. This really put things in perspective the other day with how unfamiliar with newborns my DH truly is. We were talking about the umbilical cut out on the diaper for a baby and he asked how long it takes to fall off and then said "when it falls off the baby isn't going to pick it up and eat it...is she?"

Had a terrible dream. I was back in my childhood home and i hear my parents talking and saying "the baby is here and its a girl" i look down at my bump and its gone so I assume its my baby that has been born and then it hits me that it is in fact my 4th daughter but i am in disbelief i go over looking for the baby and i find it and i try to confirm myself the sex and i see a girl indeed. My heart sinks. Then i hear my MIL's voice saying my DH's name and sarcastically remarking "o he now has 4 girls" i get even sad.
I woke up in terror. I am scared. I don't want this baby ! I want to love it but i can't bring myself to. I hope having baby and looking at it will help. And i hope and pray this dream wasn't a reflection of things to come.

(((Huge Hugs))) Dreams like these suck ass! It’s totally hormones at work! Your subconscious minds circulates things we have thought about, and they randomly come up in our dreams. For example, I thought frequently that my pregnancy would end in a miscarriage. I kept having dreams I would miscarry throughout my pregnancy. It sucked! I kept fearing something would go wrong, but nothing ever did!

I’m hoping and praying that everything is and stays ok for you! You have a great chance of this being your sweet baby boy!

I developed a random rash on my belly this morning. I had an appointment this afternoon, and my doc seemed a little concerned. He sent me for blood work before my steroid shot to help with baby’s lungs since my delivery on Friday will be exactly 37 weeks. The rash isn’t especially itchy, but it’s only in my belly and a little on my chest. I’ve never had this before!

Mommaxo3 – it’s almost summer over here so can’t even blame the winter germs haha I think it might be roseola, she’s ok now – but her sister (who’s had it before as a small baby), seems to exhibit symptoms (it stars with fever and she had fever last night but was fine this am).
Sounds like you and your girls have had a tough beginning with your ex but are now in the best place, with a wonderful father/husband looking after his girls :awe:
(and how blissfully unaware of what a newborn entails he is – that is actually really funny/cute ^^ am sure he will be in awe of his baby girl!).

Blue – like 4p2b, I really don’t think your dream is a reflection of reality – but just a projection of your fears - of course you want and will love this baby – no doubt about it.
Sometimes, it is the comments that even close ones make that hurt the most, and you know that with another girl you’d get more comments – that is the bit that makes me sad, not having my baby girl, but truly how much people can’t see past gender, especially when they are not even in the said kids’ lives…
You have had an emotional pregnancy, no wonder the birth drawing nearer your fears and concerns culminate. Be kind to yourself, allow yourself to feel what you feel – and to vent here! :hugs:
I keep thinking/dreaming I will deliver bub very prematurely in our bathroom, on my own – it freaks me out so bad – am not even at viability stage yet so I guess we all express our worst fears via our subconscious in our dreams (well, nightmares mostly!).

Kat – happy to read you here sweetie!
How are you feeling??
Did you say you have Max on Instagram? Maybe you have news?

4b2p- I’ll also ask about the RRL to my midwife on the 14th when I see her next – very curious to hear her stance and see if her view adds up to that of your middie ^^ (are tablets better than the tea?)
Like you I wondered if it was worth taking after birth, but my lochia were so bad that I worry it might make the whole area so much more tense and hurt worse lol so will see if the midwife is ok with me taking them in pregnancy and then will assess the post birth (but note your comment on not taking them post birth until lochia and main spotting is over, XXfor Hubby ;))
One thing I will start drinking though is nettle tea which apparently is super replenishing so that won’t hurt ;)
Oh will try to get to the chemist soon to get some magnesium to help with the irritable uterus – PBN, was it 300mg/day you said was recommended ?

PBN – still nesting away? :D
Recovered from your fall last week?
Baby moving well? ;)

SRG – oh I hadn’t realised that your section would be at such an early term – the itch could be nothing but your doc is right to check as an itch could be your liver getting tired too (cholestatis I think it is called) – hope you just fall into the first category and it’s just a simple rash! (which if it isn’t spreading and driving you nuts with the itchiness, likely just is)
Keep us posted :hugs:

TTCblue – did you get results back after your blood test or is it soon (I think it was by end of month)? FX for you still!

Dancing – did you manage to maybe drop a few of the engagements you had so you can have some time for you and prep for baby?

Lola – I just quickly saw on FB about your diagnosis with GD – goodness, being so fit, healthy and petite never would have thought you would develop that! Hope it all works out ok and can be controlled by diet alone ;)

Skyblue – am sure you could give some insight to Lola on GD ;)
How are you? All settled in the house now? :D

Mommy4monkeys – hope all is well with new bubba – how are the older siblings reacting to his arrival?

Sorry I wanted to write for all, but now have to stop, next meeting calls!
Hope you are all well anyhow! ^^

Aww blue that’s so much standing! Can’t wait to hear how your u/s goes today. My ds2 was small and at 36w they did an u/s showing he’d not grown for 3 weeks so they induced me like within 10m of the ultrasound i was up in labor and delivery and dh was still working... it was insane but he was a perfectly healthy little boy and he to this day is still small so I don’t think there was anything wrong with him at all it’s just who he is. I couldn’t imagine the long work days but hopefully it just passes time faster for you to meet little one!

Yes Ash i am hoping for same. My eldest is petite but otherwise perfectly healthy so I am hoping this baby is also just small. Will update u on sonogram.

Yes once a year in December we have to work 10 days of 12 hours instead of our regular 7 days of 12 hours to accommodate ppl taking leaves on Christmas etc. They thing is ppl don't realize i am pregnant esp under my white coat and expect me to be fast and up and around so that makes it hard too. But on a positive note all the walking and standing i do i am hoping will prepare my body for labor.

Hi ladies!!! So sorry it's been a while! We closed on a new home about a month ago and I've been crazy with minor renovations and getting the home decorated - we hosted my entire family and my in-laws for Thanksgiving and the last visitor left late yesterday. I am beyond exhausted! We are letting the girls finish the school year in their NYC schools and will make the formal move this summer, we thought it was too much to make a big move and have a new baby all at one time. Saving it for the summer once he's here and things settle a bit, but my goodness it's been crazy!

How is everyone? I'm going to try to get caught up here. All pretty good on my end. My stomach popped big time and I feel like I look 8 months already! Will post a belly pic shortly. My sister came up to visit and brought me a bunch of sweet baby boy clothing and I think between my shopping and her supply, I am all set for his first year. The girls helped me put all the clothes away and we are working on his nursery together. They're being so sweet and loving about everything, and they're looking so forward to meeting him - they ask daily when he's coming, how they can help, etc. Hope that holds true once he's actually here! :) I've been feeling pretty good overall, but man I hit a little low over Thanksgiving....one of our new neighbors has three girls (ages 15, 13, and 10) and my goodness they are so incredibly sweet together. LMSM, Kat, and you ladies with all same gender - I know I've said it before, but I really do believe having the same gender creates this amazing bond between siblings. It was so neat to watch them interact and it reminded me so much of my sisters. It just makes me kind of sad to see it, although I know the girls are excited for their baby brother, it's just so different than what I had ever envisioned or hoped to sway for and I pray that they will share the same connection with him despite gender and the age gap. My husband wants to get a vasectomy after baby is born, and I told him that I'm fine with it as long as we freeze some sperm. I'm already starting to think that we should go for #4 and go high tech so that I can ensure it's a girl....which is SO crazy because I could barely even get him onboard for a 3rd baby. I don't know, just thinking out loud and venting.

How is everyone??

Blue, I hope that all is okay!!

TTC, did you get your bloodwork back? Sorry if I missed it.

XX, how is sweet Olivian?

PBN, LMSM, Kat, Ash, Lola, SRG, SKY, everyone else that I missed...how are you?

Bluebooties - I hear ya on the work thing. I'm trying not to count down until January but I can barely walk by end of shift.

LMSM - I know he'll be head over heels for this new little girl. He picks out outfits and stuff like that and that wasn't something I experienced with my other 2. I know he's inexperienced with newborns but he'll have a good advisor lol.

SRG - Wow I can't believe how close you are! Good luck!

LMSM im only on the tablets because i dont like any type of hot drink, if you like the taste of the tea then drink that instead whichever you prefer :) and yes im taking it purely in the hope that it can help reduce bloodloss/risk of haemorrhage but at the end of the day i do understand that herbal tablets arent going to work miracles just hopefully help things along a bit :) ive never had excessive bloodloss with any of my babies and would like to keep it that way!! let me know what your midwife says about it

XX thankyou  i dont think i will resume the tablets after the birth i just wasnt sure if i needed to take them to help with the initial days, but i wont touch them once baby is here!!

Kat we dont have a number but i really dont want to stop on an odd number for various reasons, big one being bedrooms!! even number means kids pair up, odd number means one room of 3, another thing is my age i dont want to upset anyone here because i truly believe you know when the right time is for you to have your children but for me i dont want to be having babies past my early 30's (27 now) i had my first at 19/20 and have basically filled my 20's with having babies!! i also worry that i wouldnt be around for as long if i had them much later in life, my mum had me at 32 (my dad was 53) and they still didnt live to see me grow up so i guess a lot of that fear for me comes from that experience, i have nothing against older parents i just always knew i wanted my children young, another baby after this one would put me at 28, another from there and i would be 30 and then obviously 30+ which i know isnt old!! but it would still be something that i personally would have to think about. how are you doing? how many weeks are you now?

Max great to hear from you :) so glad to hear that you are feeling better about baby boy  and Congratulations on your new house!! how is the haematoma? i hope its continuing to shrink

Hi there Max ! Wow that is exciting, congratulations on the closing. I must agree with you the bond between my 3 girls is simply heart warming [emoji177].

So i had my follow up and now the head is still small but the rest of the body esp tummy has also stayed behind. So overall baby is proportinate but diagnosed with IUGR as growth is < 10th percentile. MFM Doc has now recommended weekly growth scans and biophysical profile and if baby continues at <10th percentile she will recommend induction as early as 37 weeks.

So now this month i not only have to manage my crazy work schedule but also make time for twice weekly appointments (one for sonogram and one for bio profile) [emoji26]. I can do this ... i can do this .... deep breaths !!

Lmsm yes approx 300mg a day is what I've read and it was actually harder to find a lower dose bottle than a high one! That's one area Aus is good at supersizing - vitamins/supplements [emoji23] I'll post a pic if the brand I found that is just the 300mg :) I took mine for 'restless legs' or aching/cramping which I still get but I have been pushing myself too far which could be why.

Bluebooties wow sounds like you're pushing yourself too with those terribly long shifts on your feet! When will you get a rest??!!! So glad to hear bubs measurements are levelling out.

Maxim its great to hear from you and congratulations on your new home [emoji322][emoji322] cant wait to see your bump pic!! I'm good thanks just in a bit of nesting frenzy [emoji52] and wearing myself out. It's hard to remember I'm no spring chicken anymore and just because my mind thinks I can do it, doesn't mean my body can keep up [emoji23]

Srg when will you get results back from bw for the rash?

I've had my mum for a few days and she's cleaned up a bunch of my baby stuff for me while I've been trying to finish the playroom and working/training whichhas been such a huge help. I go into work again for a couple hours this morning then I'm coming home to finish this darn playroom!!!! I'll post some pics on facebook later. It probably wont look it but it has been a really big job!! Going to be so relieved to have one job finished. Forcing myself to have a couple days break then I'll finish my kitchen (pantry and one other cupboard),start on the laundry and linen closet then the study..... I haven't been sleeping well between the soreness, constant during the night toilet trips (like 4-5 times regardless of whether I limit evening fluids or not) and the not being able to fall asleep for ages when first going to bed. But I'll be more prepared lack of sleep wise when bub arrives so maybe that's a good thing [emoji23][emoji23]

Lola I didn't see your post about GD! I'll have to jump back on later and recheck for recent posts. My notifications have been playing silly buggers for some reason I think since the last app update [emoji848]

Hope everyone else is well!! Dancing we haven't heard from you for awhile. Are you still following?

Max!! It really cracks me up how much alike we are. I think about #4 too and then I laugh, hello I’m 36 and hubby 40 and this pregnancy is turning difficult, nothing serious, but definitely not as easy as my first. AND I begged for a 3rd what would it take to convince hubby for a 4th 🤪 Thanks for the sweet comment about 3 girls, I feel like all I see is 2 girl/1 boy families and I just feel there’s more of a balance there.
4b2p - You are so young!! I’m jealous, age definitely is a factor! So do you have 6 living children now or 5? I’m sorry I can’t remember. This pregnancy will be an odd or even number living? I do believe you’ve lost a baby girl before? My husband and I say all the time we wish age/money wasn’t a factor and we’d have more kiddos. It used to make me sad so I’m glad we at least let those go to have a 3rd. And we aren’t poor by any means, but college stresses me out for some reason.
Anyone just feel like pain in their lady parts when they do too much [emoji85] I just get scared she’s gonna fall out or something! All of you with so many kiddos are my hero, I feel like each pregnancy gets harder.

Hey ladies!

Wow only 2 shots left ash! That's crazy!!
I'm 3 weeks tomorrow from having bub. Getting induced on the 20th December as my ob is away over xmas. Only 3 days early (due date is 23rd) so I'm not overly worried as I was induced with DD because she was overdue.
Slowly getting organise. I've got 7 days left of work and then I'm done for like 13+ months! Wooohoo!
Made hubby start perineum massage last night. I made him do it with DD and thought well it can't hurt to give it a try. I had no tearing with her and I swear by it now. He's rather unimpressed doing it though!

I was working out and trying to stay fit in the beginning but once I started getting larger it just hurts to bad [emoji853] even going on short walks I get back pain. So this would have been my last regardless gender.
Dancing wow that’s a big break from work. I’d never want to go back! [emoji23][emoji23] I’ll have to look into that massage! I had tearing with ds4 because he came out sideways but the rest have been fine. I’ve always said that’s the WORST part of labor is the dr. Stretching my bits so i don’t tear.

4blue2pink- I also didn't want any kids passed 30 for similar reasons. I had my oldest at 19 and I just turned 29 this year. This baby took a lot longer to make than anticipated. I'd like to be done but DH has been hinting at another. I'm not sure if he's joking or serious and it's not a conversation I want to have at 30+ weeks pregnant lol. Oldest I'm willing to go is 32 and even that would be pushing it.

Bluebooties- just remember it's all the best for baby even if it is hectic.

Xx-that one with your DS is so sweet!

LMSM - you can't catch a break with everyone getting sick. I hope she feels better soon!

Max - congrats on the house!

Kat - My pelvis is always sore but I think it's because that's where babes like to sit and kick. I'd have a ton of kids if it wasn't for money and the whole being pregnant for 40 weeks thing. lol

Dancing - I wish I got 13 months off. I'm not going on leave until mid/late January and I'm hoping to quit afterwards. $600 a month for childcare is no joke.

Ash - I hated the doctor stretching my bits during labor with my 2nd lol

Ash my spd has kicked in full force now its complete agony trying to turn over in bed or get up for a wee in the night!! its not so bad during the day i think it all seizes up when im asleep :(

kat yes you are right we lost our 2nd child/1st daughter, we currently have 6 living children at home with us 4 boys and 2 girls so (all being well) this one will make 7  though its my 8th baby if that makes sense?

dancing so exciting!! :D i swear by the massage, i hate doing it!! but force myself too because ive done it with all of them from 34 weeks and never torn so now ive got it in my head that if i dont do it i'll tear and i really dont want stitches after 6 super easy tear free recoveries!!

mommaxo3 your so similar to me :) my first was born just a few weeks after my 20th birthday and 32 feels about the limit for me too, my mum had me at 32 and ive always wanted to be done by (if not before) then, i think a lot of that is to do with the fact that she passed away when i was young though so ive always felt the need to have my kids young.

US mama's why does the doctor have to stretch you? baby will do that anyway and it just sounds like they're causing you more pain :( do they do it as you deliver or earlier in labour?

Ash it sounds completely unnecessary, i get that doing the massage from about 34 weeks does help but thats because its done for weeks in advance, i dont see how stretching you one time on the day will really do anything other than cause you pain :( and feeling it with the epidural that must have been so rough!! do you usually feel pain during the delivery part with an epidural? sorry to seem really ignorant but ive never had one and always wondered what you actually feel, are you not 100% numb?
my boobs arent too bad but they are a bit sore again, one thing that does seem to have returned is the sickness!! argh!! though its nothing like it was at the start thankfully.

srg do you still find the whole milk coming in part to be bad without breastfeeding? im still weighing up my feeding options for this one and have never fully bottle fed (ive always at least done the first few feeds myself then switched) so still gone through the whole engorgement thing around day 2/3 (ouch :( ) i thought if you didnt breastfeed at all it may be less extreme? or is that just wishful thinking on my part?! massive good luck for tomorrow  im so excited for you to meet your baby girl, everything crossed for a really lovely c-section experience for you :)

4blue2pink I think the epidural is different for everyone. I usually only feel pressure not much pain but the last two times I’ve had an epidural my body takes it to well or something because with ds4 I had one numb leg for nearly a whole day after birth and needed help by the nurses to even get up to go to the bathroom. So I’ve debated this Time on not getting one at all or at least waiting until I’m much further dilated.

4blue2pink - my mom is still living but she made some poor life choices when I was young so a lot of my younger years I credit my grandparents with. I'm thankful my grandmother is still alive but my grandfather passed earlier this year and it's depressing he'll never meet this little one because I'm having her so late in life. I found out I was pregnant a month after his passing. Also I only had 1 doctor stretch while I was pushing. I'm hoping my current doctor doesnt do it. Also I had a spinal block with my first and it worked amazingly. I barely felt anything but twinges as contractions. My 2nd I had an epidural that was put in wrong so I was only numb on one side and felt everything on the other side and then had back problems for the following year. I'd love to go natural but I'm usually induced and can only handle the first 8 hours of forced contractions before I give in.

Ash - My boobs hurt on and off. This is new for me as I had milk issues with the first 2. My first I wasn't producing enough so I stopped around 8 weeks and my 2nd I never even had a let down or engorgement but didn't try bf her at all. My boobs also didn't really change size with my 2nd either. I'd like to breastfeed this baby because my partner is much more supportive this time around but it really depends on how much time off I'm going to have realistically. My ex hasn't paid his child support in 3 months so I'm probably going to need to work at least part time.

SRG - Good luck tomorrow!

Best of luck Srg ! Cant wait to hear an update from you

Well i guess i better get my hospital bag ready too bcoz if any of the tests are borderline they can ask me to deliver early. I am at a loss can't seem to find premie sized outfits most retailers have newborn as there smallest. The baby is only weighing 3 lbs at 31 week 4 days. Although sonogram weights are not always 100 % accurate but i am still preparing for a small baby. My direct administrator/ scheduler is a lady and very accommodating. She is willing to work with me in getting my time off shuffled around incase i have to be induced early. This is just so stressful

Ash that sounds frustrating still being numb the next day, just see how you feel on the day this time your hospital does epidurals so its always there as an option and you dont have to commit yourself to anything ahead of time, if you feel that your managing during labour then hold off on it :) if your allowed to be mobile that will help loads!!

Mommaxo3 im really sorry your grandad wont meet this baby  my grandad is the only relative i have left out of parents and grandparents and im so so glad that he has met all my kids, my parents and the other 3 grandparents all died before any of the kids were born.
the one-sided epidural with back problems after sounds like hell :( if you need the meds can you opt for the spinal instead again this time?

just seen my midwife and shes confirmed that the bad spd pain im having is from babys head being very low down so dont think it'll be easing any until after he/she is out!!

4 blue 2 pink i had terrible SPD pain last pregnancy but this time thank fully its under control. Hot water bottle over pubic area at nights helps.

Ash i have a curved spine so each time my one leg gets more numb than the other but luckily after 10 to 12 hours i am up and about without any residual symptoms from it. I love epidural. It makes birthing so enjoyable.

Funny now that u guys mention it but my boobs arent full sore or tender at all this pregnancy .. hmm .. wonder what thats all about ?

Ash - all your milk, I’m jealous [emoji23] I always struggle to keep up. Mine are hard/full yet, but I have little like scab things on my nipples like wear the milk comes out. Did this last pregnancy too. Anyone have that - made for bloody nipples last time so wondering if there’s something I should do.
Srg/Blue - keep us updated!!
Y’all I feel so much better taking the iron? It could be placebo or coincidence since I’ve only been taking it a week but I don’t care!

Trying to get caught up here!

XX – Olivian is just so cute! And those cheeks!!!

Kat – I agree, we are so similar! I’m also 36 and hubby is 41! Do you think you’ll end up trying or no? I honestly don’t know if I could handle 4, but love the idea of having one little guy and 3 girls…the thought is really growing on me! You would have the same set up!

LMSM – What about you? I know you’ve talked about potentially having #4 as well… Hope DD feels better.

4blue – I’m in awe of you! How do you manage the kids? My biggest hesitation with going from 2+ kids is being outnumbered. I can barely manage my two girls emotionally! And I’m so jealous that you’re so young. I feel like I’m almost too old to be having a newborn.

Blue – thinking of you!!

Dancing – oh my goodness, 3 more weeks!! Very excited for you!

Ash – loving your nursery! And you’re so close also….eek!! What kind of massage do you ladies do? I don’t think I know about this! And I’m also so jealous of the milk. My boobs are getting enormous already, I hope that’s a sign (praying!) that I’ll have a better supply and baby will be a great nurser (please let one of them be!!!!).

Srg – how are you feeling??

Pbn - can't wait to see pics of your playroom. I'm also "nesting" and I'm taking on so many crazy projects and things that are wearing me out, but I feel like I have to do it all in one day lol.

Kat dont stop the iron!! if its making you feel better then you need it :) i felt much less tired after i started it this time, i get scab type things there too im not sure what it is?! but ive always had a complete nightmare breastfeeding, lots of damage and pain but i do think the posterior tongue tie that our babies have is to blame for that.

Periodically, take a soft washcloth, wet it with warm water while in the shower, and gently rub it off. It isn’t a scab, it’s dried milk that has leaked out and crusted over. It may make your nipples a little tender afterward so you can put some oil on them or any nipple cream/Balm. I did this every so often before I gave birth, and my nipples never cracked or got bloody. I asked my lactation consultants about this when I was pregnant with my DS2.

Blue I’ve always had a hard time finding preemie. Carters carries them in sleepers only but I’ve always had the best luck at Walmart. For a little as they’re worn they have a good selection of sleepers and usually a few outfits.
4blue2pink I got a call today from l&d to pre register with all the questions they ask when you come in and one was how do I plan to manage pain. I told her my thoughts and past issues and she said if i do get one just to mention that I stay numb for a long time after and they’ll give me a lesser dosage. So that’s my plan. Hold off as long as I can and just see how things go.
Blue maybe it’s a boy sign [emoji7] because this is the first time I’ve noticed them so solid and sore and this is my first girly!
Kat I always have those first agonizing weeks with bloody nipples [emoji37] hurts so bad!!
Srg good luck!! Can’t wait to hear how t goes and see pictures.

Anyone having headaches?? I had them a lot in the beginning but the last two days I’ve had one that hasn’t let up even with Tylenol! I’ve not had high bp I’ve been going to the dr every week and they always check it.. what could this be caused from? I’m miserable with the head ache on top of the boys always bickering

It might be Ash !

Headaches could just be stress or lack of sleep plus our hormonal changes also affect them as progesterone causes migraines. Try getting some extra shut eye if u can.

So i went and got a few girl and a few boy outfits. Just couldn't resist any longer. I will figure out the returning part later. Maybe i can do store credit if its past return time frame. I got just the basics so not a whole lot but somethings to get me through the first month or 2 basically.

I have my NST tomorrow. Hope it goes well. Baby is quite active and they could not see any problems with placental flow so not sure what's causing the IUGR.

Blue my ds issue was placental flow. And once he was delivered there was a tight knot in the cord it was crazy to see it and they couldn’t get enough blood out for cord blood banking. I can tell you one thing. Small babies just slip right out [emoji12] much easier than a big one.

Blue-I hope they can let baby bake as long as possible but it's nice that your job is working with you. Can you order preemie stuff online?

4blue2pink-I would have to ask what hospital policy is since the one I had the spinal in closed their maternity unit 9 years ago. And I'm sorry to hear none of your parents got to meet your babies. Its rough dealing with all of that especially while you're hormonal. Do you have long left? My pelvis is sore but I don't think spd is what it is since baby is breech still. Do you have a support belt?

I had a 3d u/s last week and I'm attempting to upload the image so bear with me lol.

Mommaxo3 i think its worth asking them since the spinal worked so well for you compared to the epidural, explain your situation and it may be that they agree to give you a spinal instead due to your personal circumstances even if its not the standard there, and how cute is your baby girl  i only have about 4 weeks left now, it still doesnt seem real!! midwife confirmed yesterday that babys head is wedged right down in my pelvis so thats the main cause of the bad spd

srg i hope you and baby girl are ok  thinking of you today!!

Ohhh this is so exciting babies!! 4b2p - that’s so soon!
Srg - let us know when you can!!
Ash - I’m not having headaches yet, but I would bet they are hormonal.
I’m pretty much just uncomfortable but I’m 30 weeks so feel close. I applied for short term disability/FMLA yesterday which made it feel real. We are trying to decide what to do for permanent birth control too. I WAS going to get my tubes tied since it’s my 3rd csection but I’ve heard bad side effects mainly being heavy periods/bad cramping and I have easy/great periods so I’m scared to mess with that. I’m trying to convince Hubby to get a V, he’s said he would before so it’s not off the table, but we’ll see.

[emoji170] and the hematoma is totally gone!!!

Kat, is baby #4 off the table then? I’m starting to think that I am going to need to have one more. Ahhhhh!!! [emoji51]

I do hope once this lil one is here, I feel our family is complete. Charlotte is doing really well, and we may both go home tomorrow!
The best guess for the fluid in her lungs is that she was surprised at being born and took in a bunch of fluid. Her lungs are strong, and she’s off all assistance now. We’re just waiting for lab work to confirm that there’s no infection. I just have pics from the live feed at the children’s hospital. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171202/779404ca706ecf28cfa3b1c88eee05f9.jpg

Congrats srg! Glad you'll be able to go home soon and start life with your new bundle of joy. So in getting induced on the night of the 19th and will deliver on the 20th. I'm due 23rd but because my ob is going on leave over Xmas we've decided to go three days early...which is nothing and I had an induction with my DD so I'm not worried.
I had a dream last night this one was a girl because I opened an envelope in the last few weeks of my pregnancy. I've dreamt my entire pregnancy this one is a girl, so I'm hoping it means a boy because I dreamt my DD was a boy the entire pregnancy. Guess we'll see in just over 2 weeks, if not before!! I'm going to pack my hospital bag today!!

I’m ok. This was my fifth csection (and the last) so my doctor spent about an hour removing my old scar and sewing a new scar back together. I also had my tubes tied, which my doctor does a removal of a pice of the tubes instead of “tying” them. Anyway, it’s more incisional bleeding than normal, but I’m up and walking around now. Thanks, ladies!

Ash - I’m reeeaally hoping that done feeling kicks in after this baby. I don’t think mines gender related either, just think I’ll know when I know. Again, you are amazing though. I just can’t see being pregnant again, this 3rd time everything hurts.

OMG will I ever catch up on reading you all?? Lol

In no particular order:

Dancing – so exciting to be so close to meeting bub, can’t believe how fast your pregnancy has gone! And woohoo for 13 months off – that is the best :D
Hope the next few weeks go as smoothly as possible for you! We need a belly pic from you :D

Won’t be long for 4b2p either – or Ash – gosh so many little babies to arrive so soon …so excitiiiiiing! :D

SRG – omg Charlotte is just adorable!!! Hope you made it home?
What a trooper you both are for bouncing back so quickly – can’t wait to hear more and more pics… and hear how her big sisters took to her arrival! :awe:

XXfor hubby – Olivian is a cutie pie – love her outfits, and chubby cheeks – she is just edible! (and am sure she is smooched all day long by all family members hehe)

Blue – hope work goes ok for you, it is long days you work and assume you are mostly on your feet too – I know it’s easier said than done but if you have any family nearby, seriously take up any offer for help so you can rest just a tad!

TTCblue – no news – I hope all is well for you and Oliver as think you were due to get the results from you testing - :hugs:

Mommy2apples – how is everything going? When is your next appointment? Has the bump started to show itself? :D

Kat – ah that feeling of “being done” or not – I think getting any permanent thing done is likely best to hold off from if you are not 200% sure – if hubby is not fully closed to the idea, adopting a boy could indeed also be a wonderful way of completing your family!!
I wonder if I ever will feel complete as such – I guess, you know when you know and if you are asking yourself the question you likely aren’t…. if money wasn’t an issue, I think I could totally have way more kids (DH, not so much unless we had like a live-in maid/sitter haha), a bit addicted to the thrill of finding out you’re pregnant, carrying a treasure and the newborn stages that fly by way too fast… and this is regardless of having physically challenging pregnancies (a bit masochist, really when you think that I “like” to self-inflict that with my weird, sore body lol).

PBN – you’ll be in countdown very very soon too – just over a month to go now – how crazy is that?? :D it’s funny how “vibes” act up with regards to gender, eh? If we ever have a 4th, I think I will go team green – it sounds so wonderful an experience :D
Did the playroom get its finishing touches?

4b2p – little newborn clothes is so tiny and precious, I find it amazing to think that they ever were that tiny – the excitement sure builds once you get to that stage :D
Your older kids haven’t clued in on the impending arrival, have they? :D

Iwant4 – how are you going? I can’t remember if you already had a name for your little girl? :D

Max – glad to hear from you – woohoo for the new house, so exciting!!! If you can afford having two places at the same time, definitely sounds like the best option for you to wait until the summer to move, so it is smoother, less rushed/stressful for everybody – having a new baby will be enough of an adventure to keep you busy before worrying about moving ;)

Sky – hope you’ve recovered from your cold – no fun at all especially when pregnant – hope that is the last bit of illness you see for a long, long time! ;)
Is your daughter excited about the arrival of her brother?

That’s about as much as my foggy brain can remember right now! lol

AFM – we booked flights on Friday to go back to France for a month in June. Oh my gosh, so expensive when your kids are paying almost full fare! (baby will only pay about $100 but can’t book her yet) needless to say the CC was maxed out – but looking forward to have the family meet our newest addition and have the grandparents see all our tribe (my husband even has his maternal grand parents left – may be the last chance to see them – they are in they mid-late 80’s now). The idea of flight 27+ hours with 3 young kids freaks me out slightly (oh the jetlag on the way back especially!) but I know it will be worth it – so many memories to share for them! It’ll have bene 2 years by then that my husband’s mum & hubby /sister & cousins have seen our kids so it’ll be nice to catch up! In the interim, we’ll live erm, frugally..pasta pasta and more pasta? lol
24 weeks today – I think that means I am starting my 6th month? Eeeek – time is going to fly by ….
Murphy’s law, hubby is away on work down in Sydney since yesterday arvo, and I have started developing a sore throat etc – praying it doesn’t develop to a full blown illness (edit, shivering at my desk now – yay!) – though I barely slept last night between that and the sciatica/symphosis (those two like to play up at the same time) :( . Fortunately the girls slept through without waking me up more though my utero daughter thought it was hilarious to kick up a storm each time I moved in bed lol
Discussed my leave with my boss – will likely start the week of the 5th of March – I have a feeling this young lady might arrive a bit early so hope that will give me a few days to switch off the work mode, and rest /next a bit ;) I cannot wait to start on her nursery – like CAN.NOT.WAIT lol and to organise the older girls to make their room(s) as cosy and girly as possible…might as well embrace the girliness, eh? Lol

Will post a pic on FB – also, need your advice on names lol
xx

Wow a 27+ hour flight [emoji50][emoji50][emoji50] I couldn't even imagine. But as you said totally worth it for the memories and photo ops you'll have while you're there! !

Lmsm yes its an up an about kind of a job making rounds up and down stairs if the elevator isn't close and then the office chairs don't help any either with their weird backs [emoji17]

Looks like we r in the same boat. We also booked flights last month for June for a 24 + hour flight to visit the extended family. It will be 4 kids including an infant and a toddler ! And talk about expensive !!

I had another one of my mini scary dreams the other night. Heard someone saying the baby is paralyzed waist down. Again it felt as if they were talking about my baby. I just want this to be over with now its dragging on for so long ! 7 more weeks to go unless they induce earlier than 39 weeks.

Ttcblue thinking of you. Hope u heard good reassuring news about baby's health.

I know, so crazy – we can share war stories after – IF we survive to tell the tale lol… the two eldest pay almost full fare as they are over two – I’m actually not worried toooo much about #3 as she will be so little – just use the carrier and the boob will likely sort out most things lol (I did the trip alone with DD1 when she was 7 weeks old so have tried with a tiny infant and they can’t wriggle/crawl/run away – at least ) and my eldest will be almost 5 and content to watch some kiddie movies (only time where she will get free reign to binge watch anything – yep, whatever it takes to get us there lol) ..it’s my toddler that I worry the most about – she is not one that sits quietly, and definitely – at this stage at least – will not watch a movie to keep her entertained to buy us a bit of quiet (dare I say I am thinking what drugs can we get?? Lol) - might deal with DD1 and 3 and let hubs deal with DD2 lol

Oh those nightmares – they’re the worst :( hope you can be freed of them asap, and just enjoy a healthy bundle in your arms!! You sure must be keeping fit with all those ups and downs - sigh – exhausting too – the end is nearing, look at that way – and hang in there – until then, vent away here! ;)

ive bin sneaking bits into the house (like nappies etc) when the kids are in bed and setting them up in one of their bedrooms with a film on the laptop when the midwife comes to see me so they still dont know!! :D

yes yes yes to girly bedrooms :D have you got any names for baby girl yet? i cant remember if you said you had.

Kat - I also don't want my tubes tied for that reason. I already have heavy irregular cycles and I don't want to make them worse. We are going to use the pull and pray method for the time being haha. (I think DH secretly does want 1 more as he is 1 of 6 so I wouldn't be surprised if he asks for another in a few years).

4blue2pink - How exciting, just a few weeks! I just cleaned the one corner out where we put our Christmas tree and I thought "when we take the tree down, we'll put the baby's stuff there."

Skyblue - Sorry to hear you had a cold. I get nosebleeds during pregnancy randomly so it catches me off guard every time. Feel better!

Max - How cute is he!? And congrats that your hematoma is finally gone!

PBN - I'm surprised even as a catholic church they don't tie tubes but it is "against the religion" type thing.

SRG - thinking of your baby girl! And what an adorable name, I love charlotte! She is so cute! And I'm glad you're doing well.

Dancing - Thats great you're getting an early Christmas gift!

LMSM - you sound so prepared, getting leave in order and trips taken care of. I'm due in just about 2 months and I haven't even discussed leave with my job or gotten the room ready or anything. I'm such a procrastinator when there's no deadline. And baby brain turns into Mommy brain and it multiplied 10x with each addition kid.

the older 2 will be ok and they help with my 3rd who will be exactly 2 ( we travel on her birthday ). Dd3 is a breeze for now but i worry about the "terrible two's" stage she will be in by then. Will take a stroller for DD3 and my tula for baby. Planning in lots of snacks colors crafts etc to keep them entertained and my pediatrician recommended (when i asked about jet lag) to try melatonin 1 mg OTC to help regulate the older 2's (both will be above 6 yrs old then ) sleep on flight. She said we adults can use the same. Call me a bad mom but i am willing to try anything to avoid the jet lag We had a terrible jet lag last time and it kind of ruins ur vacation and u don't want that after paying a fortune for it !

4b2p- sneaky mummy hihihi glad that the kids don’t know, so close to delivering a grand surprise !!! :D
I did a post on FB re names ;) dont really want to divulge my kids full names here ;)

Mommaxo3- Oh you know I gave approx dates I’d like to on leave for, but haven’t lodged the parental leave request, nor do we have a replacement option for me..not sure how my boss wants to manage it lol m6 role is not one you can just get anyone to do, so it’s a bit tricky...ah well, their problem just hope they get a solution that means the person won’t have messed up my work while I am gone :P

Srg, welcome back home with your tiny precious girl!! Hope all is well :awe:
I’m sorry you didn’t get your boy to hold, I totally understand how that must feel and hope you will feel complete as time goes on, with your beautiful girl tribe..:hugs:

Blue, oh then we both are “bad” mothers, I was researching MElatonin for kids especially to manage the jet lag, just last night as was looking at travel hacks lol ( though seems the kids one you can take from 3 y.o. at least the one I saw)
The good thing is it is easier on the body going West and we leave at night and arrive late arvo so won’t have to stay awake too long after arriving before we can head to bed. Last time kids settled to the new time zone pretty quickly but travelling back East is an absolute killer and we arrive very early in the am, so will have to stay awake as much as possible to get back into our Timezone...will definitely make use of the melatonin to ease it because dealing with 3 massively jetlaged kids for a week isn’t my idea of fun lol

Soooo am at home today after passing out briefly sitting waiting for my train..thank god I was sitting not standing or am loathe to think what could have happened with the rails just meters away...I think sleepless nights, plus low blood sugars (didn’t really eat yesterday) plus this cold (the pain sits in throat/ears= just plain exhausted.
Go5 home, ate, and to just rest as not risking collapsing on my way to work!

SRG - So glad you're home! I don't have tiny babies but enjoy it, they grow way too fast!

4blue2pink - I'm not sure about a 4th yet. It depends on money and other things. This one took well over a year to make and I'm not sure I'd want to use OPKS and temp for so long again lol.

PBN - My job really isn't accommodating at all. I'm trying to wait to talk to the doctor more to see where I'm at. I'd like to take a week before the baby comes but the only way to do that is to have an induction date set. I'm probably just going to drop it on them a week/days before. I keep changing the date in my mind because I'm pretty excited to see my kids for more than 2 hours a day and I know things will change when baby arrives. We're implementing a new system and it's going to lighten my work load so I'm hoping my position gets eliminated so I can go to another department when I come back because I don't want to come back to this one. My boss lacks compassion and human understanding (its a woman) and I can't deal with that in this small of a work environment. When my grandfather passed she texted me to tell me I only get 1 paid day off (I took 3 days and they were not happy about it).

LMSM - You should make sure you take good care of yourself so you can keep yourself and baby healthy! Do you have an ear infection/strep throat? It sounds like you might. My little one currently has it now and I hope she feels better before her birthday on Friday. She was excited to take a treat into school to share.

LMSM that sounds awful :( i hope your feeling ok now!! and thank god you were already sat down  yes the big surprise :D i cant wait for their reactions!! ultimate christmas present

Mommaxo3 i did opk's with my last sway and hated them too!! found them annoying and stressful, this time i switched to e4d without opk's and found it so much easier and more laid back, if you go for #4 would you sway pink again? sorry to be blunt but your boss sounds like a bitch.. i hope you get to transfer away from her!!

its just dawned on me that im 37 weeks this week!! is this ever going to feel real?! i just cant picture a tiny new baby for some reason, there is nothing negative going on i just cant seem to see it this time, maybe its because im team green?

Oh my gosh ladies, I can't keep up here! I haven't been able to check in lately, mainly because I think I have a psycho case of nesting LOL! Is that a thing?! I've been trying to plan out a nursery here, and then running back and forth to the house to plan a nursery, the girls rooms, finishing out decor, etc. And I have this weird need to reorganize everything in NYC, even though we'll be moving in a few months. I went to Container Store the other day and bought all sorts of unnecessary containers and bins to organize. What is happening to me lol? Anyone else??

I'm glad to hear that TTCblue is okay!

Kat I have 5 weeks today until csection [emoji50][emoji50] I cant believe how quick it's all gone especially after reaching the single digit countdown and like 4blue2pink said, it's all abit surreal and hard to fathom that I'm so close to having an actual baby again!!

Maxim I have gone completely nuts in the nesting dept but unfortunately it didn't kick in until a few weeks ago so I'm getting done what I can and trying to set realistic goals. I was even laying on the floor of my kitchen using disinfectant wipes to clean the cupboard skirting boards and the area where they meet the tiles.. I have reorganised my kitchen cupboards (after pulling out every single thing to wipe them out) including new containers/tupperware. Yesterday I started on the study. Have gone through and transferred papers to be kept to our new filing cabinet and threw out 3 bags of rubbish that my hoarder husband had kept in there [emoji23] my goal is to cull or reorganise the two bookcases we have in there so they can be sold (too bulky) and I can turn the study into a guestroom for when required (will be putting a sofa lounge in there) I have things I want to get done in the laundry too... I'm just taking it a day at a time though as I got knocked around finishing the playroom/kitchen so making sure I rest up in between...

Mommaxo3 wow your boss sounds terrible [emoji17] she must be a very unhappy person with an unhappy life to be so thoughtless and have such little compassion. I couldn't imagine working for or with someone like that. I hope it all works out best for you x

4blue2pink - We didn't sway because trying in general took so long. The OPKs were something my doctor asked me to do along with charting. And I'm super jealous you're so far along. I'm ready for this to be over with lol.

PBN - My boss shouldn't be a boss. She doesn't know how to manage other people and its frustrating (there's only 3 of us). She openly favors the one lady who has been here 7 years and in this department but myself and the girl have placed several complaints about her not working and such and nothing gets done about it. Last winter I had a double ear infection and lost most of my hearing (part of my job is answering the phone) so I told her I couldn't hear and she didn't take me off the phone or help out and when I openly asked for phone help the following day she just said "I didn't realize you couldn't hear on the phone either." And still gave me no help until my hearing came back. I'm definitely over this department. I'm starting to get sick again and my back is killing me from sitting for so long but I'm afraid to ask for any type of accommodations since I know nothing will come of it. I really need to walk around more often but I just deal with it.

Also side note - I failed my glucose test I took 2 weeks ago. It was nice of the doctor's to not call and tell me (even after I called them and left a message for the lab last week).

Momma – grrr so infuriating to see how your “manager” just isn’t behaving like a decent human being – you’re right, some people just shouldn’t manage others, it’s not something everyone will be good at!!
Hope the 3-hour test is ok – thanks Doctor indeed for not telling you about the short one failing (is that the non fasting one??) – here we automatically do the GTT (so 3-h fasting one) which I hate as I pass out lol

Yep, I had a throat infection (with pain radiating to the ears) but seems with a lot of natural remedies, I have been able to at least stop it from getting worse – not feeling 100% but at least can semi-function….
On the boss note, she didn’t acknowledge my email on Tuesday saying why I wouldn’t be in, nor did she ask about me (and we had a meeting for a hour so the opportunity was there!) when I came back in yesterday – I know she has loads on, but feeling the love..not lol

Kat – can’t help, sorry? Any reason you wanna track every feed/nappy for S?
I was anal about tracking everything with my first for a while, as we had trouble establishing BFing – second time around, no clock, no note pad, nothing – so much better, so much more relaxed – and intend to do just that this time if all goes well. I honestly think that unless there is a clear issue (weight loss/lack of weight gain / clear discomfort or illnesses), it’s just a recipe for putting pressure on oneself and the baby – if you can get past that need to control and know how much bub seems to be getting etc (which I know is hard lol, I am a control freak but motherhood has taught me to let go…. a LOT lol).

Ash – yep, time to not take any more orders and focus on you and your daughter’s imminent arrival! ;)
I know it’s tempting to juuuust do a biiiit more work as = more $$ etc, but if you can afford not to, be kind to yourself and enjoy this last bit of fusion between you and your baby girl, preparing for her and resting where you can before the baby tsunami :D

Glad to see that TTCblue and bub are ok – please come and see us TTCblue and tell us how you are!!

4b2p – it’s about to get real very soon :D I think even with subsequent babies, it remains a bit of an image and until you actually have a baby in your arms, it’s hard to comprehend it ACTUALLY happened lol
Every day when I look at my kids I can’t quite believe they are MY KIDS and I am a MOTHER – like, a Mum, hello!!?? It’s so surreal still ;) I am 24 weeks only granted but I still can’t fathom I have a new baby girl in me growing and soon to extend our family – I struggle picturing us as a family of 5 still – but know we’ll adjust :P

PBN – 5 weeks – my oh my - tic-toc, tic-toc – just a BIIIIT excited to hear about the next babies – hehe :D
For those due between now and mid-end of Jan – are you ready(ish)?

Max – nesting is totally normal, I have hit the stage where if I could would take days and days off to just focus on culling, organising and then prepping the house to make a true homey nest :D
So if you feel like it, I say, go for it! :D

I have soooo much to do, especially to prep for bubba that I feel like throwing a tantie lol
On the plus side, last night we made some progress on the name front..I think! Lol
Discussing between the Zoe and Sophia conundrum – DH did admit that “Sophia was not not his favourite he was just concerned it sounded a bit harder in French than in English” – to which I responded it was the case for M and E too – it’s just the way the French language is – English is a tonal language so intonation differs and often softens…. (which he conceded) – sooooo, I feel like it’s a step closer - not a “yes let’s definitely call her that” but not pushing for me to let it go either :D
Oh and DD1 got to try on her school uniform – her momma shed a tear – she was so proud – and class lists go up this arvo so will go check – hoping she has the one and only friend that goes to the same school in her class! :D

I know where you’re coming from, ;)
I’d say best thing to get supply up is skin to skin as muuuuuuch as possible, and Bub on boob as much as she wants too without any restriction ...the early days demand feeds are intense but they are what gets supply established best ;) there will be time later to fall into a routine :)
The more they are on the breast the more the body’s reacts by producing, and things will adjust pretty quickly by following baby’s cues ;)
And in the end, if using a means to monitor feeds etc helps you, no harm, of croise..happy mum = happy baby, whatever works for you ;)

I second LMSM Kay and if you try not to stress/worry about it that’d probably help also! I bought a baby scale off amazon to just make sure ds3 was gaining so we didn’t have to go back into the hospital so maybe that’s an option.

LMSM it will be real very soon :) i think not knowing the gender is making imagining this baby even more difficult because its not "him" or "her" i am still loving team green though and so so glad i did it this time :D i caved at 37 weeks last time but wont be doing that this week!!

Kat do whats right for you :) tracking every feed and nappy sounds like it could be quite stressful especially through the nights but if you loved it last time and it worked well for you then do it!! your baby-your way

bluebooties - I hoping to have it done tomorrow morning but the doctor said the results take a few days so I'm just going to wait until my next appt on the 18th unless they call beforehand (which I doubt hah).

LMSM - yes it was non fasting 1 hr test but I only had eggs and water that morning since my apt was early afternoon. The 3 hr test I can't eat so I'm going in the morning. I'm also having trouble wrapping my head around a 3rd baby (that I thought I'd never have).
I do hope your throat feels better soon, its terrible being sick AND pregnant! And you still have plenty of time to pick a name. We aren't even set on one completely and I'm due in 9 weeks

names are an issue here too especially if baby is a girl, there's only 1 boys name i like and dh liked it in the past so that should be easy :) but girls names are so difficult for us :-/ there's 4 i like but im not dead set on any of them and knowing dh he will reject them all.. we haven't discussed names at all so all that will have to start after baby's born.

4b2p – definitely would make it harder to project yourself not knowing gender! Do you mind sharing your boy and girl names :D (yes, being snoopy haha)
I think once you see baby’s face it is easier too – as you can get the vibe of “she definitely isn’t a …” etc ;)

Momma – good luck for the GTT! Hope the Dr actually gives you results as they come this time!
It sucks being pregnant and fasting AND getting blood drawn all whilst still not eating after for a while – I dread mine which is due at Xmas time – with my middie’s blessing may postpone a few days so it’s after the New year and I can have all the Xmas food out of my system lol
Oooh do you want to share your name ideas ? :D haha I know we still have plenty of time, but would love to help DH feel more of a connection with baby- and naming her would make it a tad more real for him (plus I like the idea of knowing her name, it would make it more tangible for me too – though we won’t share it with the girls to avoid them spilling the beans ^^). I’m not pressuring him anyways, I know that now I will leave him to brew on it for a month or so, and we can raise it again in the new year – maybe by then the name will come naturally to him (that’s what happened last time lol).
As for the illness, thanks hon – am much better – the fresh lemons from the garden must have perked me up with all that vit C :D

SRG – haha, well you did choose a very nice middle name for Charlotte – so you did well! ;)
How is everything going for you at home? Settling in? big sisters super excited?

Anyone here having swayed (or rather pre-swayed) blue whilst pregnant? I’m crazy I know, but is it worth trying to keep blue friendly for a long period of time when swaying blue – or should I just drop it for now and really focus on it later? We may never TTC again (sigh, I hope we do!), and only if we won the lotto do I think I could ever maybe convince hubby of HT, but the control freak personality I have just wants me to plan plan plan – “just in case”.
I will do up a post for Atomic but keen to hear of blue swayers thoughts – if any of you ladies have been in that situation, that is! ;)

LMSM i was hoping that once we saw DD2 we would find a name easily but no!! still took 5 weeks!! the boys name is Wade just have to hope dh hasnt gone off it since we last discussed boys names in 2014..
and the ones im liking for a girl are Alva, Alisa (pronounced A-lee-sa), Sierra and Serafina, i quite like Saskia too but dont see dh saying yes to that, ive not put any of them to him yet i'll only start all that if baby is in fact a girl, there are loads of other girls names i love but i dont want the list getting longer and longer and then just finding it impossible to narrow it down in my own mind which was partly an issue with DD2 along with dh saying no to EVERYTHING!! argh!! haha

open to any input/comments on names :)

there have been people sway blue during pregnancy :) i know Throwaway Panther did and im pretty sure ELP did too

December 7th, 2017, 08:16 PM
Haha – it’s a tough gig getting that name just right isn’t it! ;) it’s funny there are a few on your girls list that were on mine i.e. Serafina I find uber cute (not hubby alas) and Saskia, hubby didn’t mind but still asked me to take it off the list as not sure (funny as he really liked when looked for DD2). I like all of them so not much help but if I had to pick a preference, it’d be Serafina :awe: it’s a truly angelic (no pun intended :P) name ^^ you can still shorten it with Sera as a nickname too.
Oh for your boy name, really like Wade, I picture a cheeky sweet boy with that name!

My below list was my initial one for DD3 ^^ it's narrowed down a bit since though:
Anna / Zoé / Sofia/Sophia /Kiara / Siena /Leila /Serafina / Serena / Saskia
Abigaelle / Anaelle/ Maelle /Maeva/e/Romane /Adeline/Adaline
Callie / Margaux / Maja /Syrin/Erine

Hi ladies, well I made it! 38 weeks and I finished work today as school finished up for the year! 10 days away from heading into.hospital for my induction. Soooo much for DH and I to do but we'll just smash it out over the next week.

LMSM - I let my blue sway run out this pregnancy as I didn't want to keep up constant snacking and put on more weight than I had to. The blue diet already makes you put it on before you even get pregnant! I intend to start it back up once baby is here and I'm breastfeeding to ready my body long term to go again. DH is very open to a 3rd to get his boy but is still apprehensive about gender selection.

I’m hoping for Sophia/fia ( still undecided..might go with -Fia as it’s less common and the name is very popular as it is already...) but need to have hubs 100% onboard. Will drop the convo for a few weeks before I bring it up again :)

Well ladies I had quite a day. Woke up at 1am with feeling of wetness. Had "peed" my pants apparently. Couldn't decide if it was so vaginal discharge or leaking amniotic fluid. Had no pain or cramps. Put a pad on and headed to work thought i would discuss it over my NST. It did turn out to be BV so i am now on antibiotics but failed NST as baby wouldn't move ever after using the buzzer/vibration stimulator. Then had to go to biophysical profile. Thankfully baby cooperated and got a 8/10 score. But between all this and beinh on call with my pager going off every 2 mins i had a stressful day.

Dancing lucky u ! Dont stress about things they will get done such relax and enjoy. Excited for you to meet baby soon !

pbn its funny id never even thought Alisa could be mistaken as A-liss-a just because ive always seen it as the name Lisa with an A on the front :) its a very popular Russian name and ive only ever heard it be pronounced A-lee-sa
here the A-liss-a pronunciation would be spelled either Alyssa or Alissa though i get what you mean!!
i know 2 girls both called Alicia one is A-lee-sha and the other is A-liss-ee-a, i think all the Alisa, Alissa, Alicia, Alessia style names have inter-changeable pronunciations, i know everytime i see the name Alicia im like ok.. is she A-lee-sha, A-liss-ee-a or something else!!

Missed your post 4b2p, mustnt have scrolled down enough lol
That is the only reason I didn’t put Alisa as my fav of your list of names, as see the variations of the name running into different pronunciation issues.
My best friend is called Alizah, and she gets the full suite, which even at 35, bothers her :P
Though I do think if you love it, you’ll make sure it is super clear how to say her name and that is it :)

The only difference I've noticed in this pregnancy from my boys is that I don't have the pregnancy line (linea nigra) I did with them. It was really quite dark during my boys pregnancies from 25-28 weeks onwards from memory yet I've only just noticed the faintest line appear over the last few days and I'm on week 34, it's so light I only 'see' it because I know where it should be.... Anyone else experience this? Pretty sure it doesn't mean anything gender wise [emoji23][emoji23] but its an interesting difference!!

I’m not sure if it’s acid or what the deal is I just have this constant burning aching pain in my left side right around/below my rib cage. It’s been like this most of my pregnancy but wayyyy worse at night so bad I can’t lay on that side. Dr said it’s probably just the baby at this point taking up so much space but I didn’t argue and say well... it’s been like this the whole time. I had it with my last two also and it went away after pregnancy so I’ll just deal a few more weeks. I’ll be 37 on Christmas Day! The goal (according to my dr.) is get to 36 which I think won’t be an issue at all since that’ll be next Monday. Ds4 was 36w6d and we were still in for a week due to jaundice so this is why I’d really like to make it past Christmas because more than likely this baby will have it also since my other 4 had to be admitted back under lights.

My biggest worry is and (always has been while pregnant and at work) is what if i run into a code/cpr situation (god forbid) and am the only one around to start chest compressions !

Ash they say the more acid reflux the more hair the baby will have. Speaking of which the sonogram tech pointed out this last biophysical profile that baby already appears to have a ton of long hair so boy or girl i believe i need to get my baby brush and comb out and to the ready [emoji4]
