Will it be ok to start when my period ends? I’m on CD2 and AF usually lasts 6 days so I’m hoping the thermometer will be here once it’s over! I usually don’t ovuLate till CD18-20

I think it will be really interesting to know if my “ovulation pains” are actually when I think I ovulate!
I’ll try it out for a month, tbh if it doesn’t help in conceiving and just helps to keep an eye on cycles then there’s nothing to stress about! [emoji3]

That’s exactly the one I use. Really good. It beeps twice once it’s done taking the temp. Only thing is it has no in built lights so just have your phone light on to read the temp right after taking temp. Oh and it does have memory. Click the button twice/press for couple seconds...can’t remember which?!

Girlsway I usually don't start temping until 4 or 5 days into my cycle. Oddly my temps sometimes don't even fall back down until several days into AF. Kinda weird.

Thanks all - my emotions have been all over the place the past few days and now I think the shock is setting in!

Girlsway technically 2 attempts but since it's not clear which day I ovulated the first may not have had anything left. The first attempt was either O-3, O-4 or O-5. The second was either O-day, O-1 or O-2. So who knows! :) The attempts were about 72 hours apart though so if I o'ed after the 2nd attempt I think the 1st attempt probably didn't have much left, if anything.

Congratuations ABC and all ladies who got bfps recently! I was reading all the posts in ttc threads starting from August, but didn't post much. But I won't survive another 2ww without such a great support group as this one :)
I sway pink, this is my 5th month of ttc, 4th cycle of trying (missed one cycle due to absence of DH), got positive opks yesterday and today, BD yesterday (this month as a part of E4D) so I guess I'm just starting 2ww.

Okay. Looking for advice on getting this next bean to stick without going too far from my girl sway. I’ve had 2 consecutive early miscarriages. I am back to negative pregnancy tests so I think we’ll start tracking ovulation this round. I’m thinking of adding baby aspirin and progesterone after ovulation. Am I killing my girl away with adding these? Looking to ovulate in the next week if my patterns haven’t been effected.

hannah - I'm so sorry about your miscarriages :( Baby aspirin and progesterone after O will not hurt your girl sway. Baby aspirin used to be used as a girl sway tactic, but atomic no longer recommends it given some of the risks/side effects (like easy bruising). Did your doctor recommend it? I would ask your doc if given the m/c if he/she would recommend adding the aspirin. My doctor has talked to me about taking baby aspirin, which I haven't done but I know he feels like it's safe and might be useful. So I would try to get your docs opinion, but no, it shouldn't hurt your sway :)

Hannah I will come back abit later when I'm able but I too would err on the side of caution and only take baby aspirin of your ob recommends it. Have you been tested for clotting issues? I was put on both aspirin and vit d & cal after consecutive mc's but I had weaned off it by the time I fell pregnant with this sticky bean (no longer ttc)

Hannah firstly I'm sorry for your losses. Are you holding up ok? To get back to my earlier post, consuming pineapple core during early dpo is said to help with implantation as it contains a natural blood thinner called bromelain. You can eat both flesh and core, approx a cup a day for 5 days. So for example 2-6dpo, 3-7dpo, 4-8dpo or 5-9dpo. If you don't fancy pineapple you could blend it into a drink and chug it down that way or with other fruit. The core is the important part so be sure to include it. I'm with Atomic on not taking aspirin unless of course it's to treat a medical condition and is prescribed by your doc/ob. I personally think there's as much chance of it causing a mc as there is of it possibly helping implantation..... it seems to be the go to remedy after unexplained early losses as we want to believe we can do something to help stop an early loss when in reality there is nothing. If its going to happen there is usually a genetic/chromosomal reason. I had three losses prior to this one sticking and it took a long time accept I was simply unlucky, there was a reason behind it. But I am older too that increased my chances to begin with [emoji53]

Thank you pbn3. I also have age in my court so that’s been interesting. I should’ve immediately started progesterone with this last one. Now I’m thinking I was not as aggressive as I should’ve been. But I do know that if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be. I’ll definitely look at the pineapple core. My last healthy bean is now 14 months old so I know there’s bound to be another good one in their somewhere. [emoji23][emoji23]

I am 9dpo and trigger shot was out of my system by 7. So far bfn. So im sure i am out yet again!
I met my new RE in the USA. All my testing came back Normal. My ovarian reserve is normal to slightly high. There is physically NO reason why we should not be pregnant by now. I am to start birth control when AF arrives this Sunday to start the ivf egg retrieval cycle in Jan. Unfortunately we couldn't do the transfer back in until early March. I was hoping sooner!
I've had lower right pain since 6dpo and I'm tired and moody.. but other than that no symptoms this cycle.

Thanks for kind words ladies! I don't temp or track anything, unfortunately, and I use cheap tests, so makes no sense testing before 12-13 dpo. Ahh, long way to go, since I'm not sure when or if I have ovulated already (I estimate either yesterday or today was o day).

Mummy2boys not that it matters but I think it more likely your a day dpo less then what ff is saying simply because it seems more plausible you'd o on day 2 of a pos opk rather than day 1 and still be showing a pos the day after o if that rambling all makes sense? [emoji12]

Filzma don't stress out about your temp dipping. Could just be a fallback rise which is super common. I've noticed the last 4 temps are open circles which normally means your temps are taken (or input) at more than a half hour time difference than each other. Would this be right?

Robin I'm so sorry as well! Have you tried to test with second morning urine? The line yesterday was so faint. It could be normal fluctuation because of slightly more diluted urine this morning than yesterday that would make the line disappear today. But the line could come back as soon as the urine gets a bit more concentrated... Really crossing my fingers for you for a happy end!

Hey ladies, just realised I haven't checked into this thread yet since I posted in the November thread. So wonderful to see some BFPs appearing this month, massive congratulations to you guys!

I hope that those of you still in limbo get some lovely positives too, the waiting and uncertainty is just so awful xxx

I am on CD14 today. My temps are all over the place this cycle but I'm fairly sure I ovulated on CD12 (had +ve OPKs on CD11 & early on CD12, then felt really crampy and ovulatey all day on CD12). Just waiting to see if FF will give me my crosshairs before I start my crazy obsessing. Had an attempt on CD11 so hopefully I've got the days right. Just a bit nervous that I missed it - last month I ovulated CD14 so I didn't even bother OPK testing until CD11 this month and got a positive first time. Haven't really had any CM at all except for 1 blob of obvious EWCM on CD9 so really hope I haven't worked it out a day late.

Some people have a temp dip around O (I didn’t the cycle I conceived). Temp should rise after O has happened, but I’ve learned it’s not extremely reliable for everyone. Some take longer to get a temp rise. So temping can only confirm O rather than predict it.

With my last pregnancy i never got an implantation dip yet. This cycle has been the same temp ever since ovulation everyday except when I drink the night before. Then it's higher.

Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit TapatalkVerena I would test at 6 & 7dpo knowing full well that was far too early and I was paying money to wee on an expensive stick [emoji23] it was like an itch that just had to be scratched though. 8dpo is possible but still super early, 9dpo is early but fairly common for a faint is it or isn't it line, 10dpo is usually a good day to start as a faint line then is usually a really good sign. Waiting until 11 and 12dpo will likely give you a good line and save you a whole lotta money. I only ever ONCE held out till 10dpo in nearly two years of testing [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Oh wow does timing actually matter? Some days I wake up at 5:30/6:30/7:30. Once I wake up can’t go back to bed. Also funny thing my opk were negative then lightly positive yesterday and now dark...🧐You should try and temp within a half hour time frame each morning as your temp can be lower/higher when over a hours difference. Generally the later you sleep and temp the higher the temp will so you may have falsely high temps especially with a two hour difference.. there are bbt/temp adjusters online that calculate an estimate on what temp should have been at any time but I personally found them to be a waste of time and would just go with what I had :) Can you post a pic of your darkening opks? Lh levels will vary during your cycles but will mostly only peak the once.

Filzma as long as your not testing prior to 11am its all good. What time are your pm ones done though? Optimal time for most people is between 1-3pm (this is different for some but not something you'd pick up for a few cycles)

My son has a school Christmas concert on this morning which we're about to leave for but once I'm home later I'll pm you with some adjusted temps to change ONLY to see how it looks then we'll put the original ones back in, so can record the cd, time and temp down to reinput after we temporarily change it :) Better check though, what time is it where you are? It's only almost 8am for me :)

Try and not read too much into cramps at this stage, we tend to notice all kinds of things when we start looking for it that probably actually happen every cycle but we only notice it now because we're fixated on it.....In saying that, I've never used progesterone cream so not sure if its a side effect? Mummy2boys cant wait for the next few days of testing! Because of that unreliable temp cd15 you may only be 6dpo which I mentioned previously I'd think more likely seeing as your opk was still positive. But it may have taken a couple days for the surge to leave your body so 7dpo is certainly possible, I would simply be leaning more towards 6dpo that's all.

I went in for 2nd beta yesterday - at 14/15 dpo. My hcg went from 13 (on 12/13dpo) to 26 in 48 hours - still incredibly low, but it doubled, and my progesterone was the same. Doctor wants me to do progesterone capsules inserted vaginally and then I'll go back next week for another hcg. So - guess we'll continue to wait and see what happens. Thanks all for your support!

That was my dilemma thanksgiving weekend. I drank, because I didn’t want to give up fun stuff every 2ww. I drank a decent amount of win and pumpkin liquor. Some beer isn’t going to hurt the baby. If you’re worried maybe take a test with you and test again tomorrow? Either way enjoy!!

I don't how this will turn out. Doc just said we should try the progesterone and cross our fingers. He said the HCG number went in the right direction so that's a good thing.

On a lighter note - I put my first progesterone capsule in this morning (vaginal) and a few hours later when I went to the bathroom there was this pink/orange all over my underwear. Obviously I immediately panicked thinking it was blood!! Then I realized it was the exact color of the progesterone capsules and as it melted some must have leaked out. So now I want to know what genius decided to make those capsules a color that could be misconstrued as blood! Especially as they are given to women who are at risk of a miscarriage!! Good grief.

Oh they are expensive! (Just had a look) I known it would be worth it but I'm thinking if dh's sperm count is rubbish then Id be skipping next cycle anyway. When he went for the SA he said he NEVER wants to do it again. I didnt want to tell him he may need to. I wouldn't make him, but I know if the Dr gives him any meds to boost count, that's the only way to know if they are working :/

I guess maybe wait and see what happens with dh's results on the 20th. If they are ok then you should still have time to get the digis for next cycle. Or maybe just order them and have them ready for just in case. If he does end up meds and you need to hold of then they'll be there for when you're ready to try again. It's going to be Christmas and if his results are good enough to try this cycle coming then splurge on the digis. Being able to relax and enjoy your Christmas can only help! In saying all this I'll be watching your chart with alot of interest in these coming days. You noted spotting at cd11 last cycle so if you are cd10 today then you'd expect to possibly see spotting tomorrow. Or if you're 7dpo then the spotting will be a few days away. I just hope there's zero spotting and your temps maintain in this level range and you wont have to worry about anything...

GirlswayHGmama the most important sway factors are the diet and time on it, the exercise if you can manage it (1 hour cardio 5-6-7 times/week) and one attempt whether at pos opk or by doing e4d (so eg. Bd cd8, 12, 16 etc) Anything else you add is pretty much personal choice from my understanding and are the things that can be dropped first to increase odds of conception as time goes on. By that I mean using things like j&d, hot showers etc. I also thought PH has been debunked BUT again its your choice if you want to use it as part of you sway. Have you read through the essays in the ttc a girl library? Alternatively, you could outline your sway plan in a thread under the ttc a girl forum and let atomic advise what to keep and what to drop. The other option of course is to purchase a sway plan which also gives you access to private coaching from Atomic. Well worth it if it's something you're considering :)

Hi All, when is everyone AF due and when will you be testing?

Can anyone help with my dilemma? Husband and I BD’ed on Friday. According my chart, I should ovulate Wednesday (which means my accidental attempt was 5+ days before predicted OPK). I took an ovulation test today (Sunday) and the line was very, very faint. Would you personally BD again when I get a positive OPK next week, or hold off until next month? I’m aiming to start off with one attempt. I just didn’t know the first “attempt” was so far out from ovulation if it could technically even count and I should try again, or hold off until next month to prevent two attempts right off the bat (this is our first attempt since starting all of this)

I thought I am 10 dpo today and that I am out as no bfn so far. But I rethought about my opks. I had an almost positive opk at 1 pm and a very positive opk at 8 pm. I counted the next day as ovulation day but is it possible that I ovulated one day later? Then I would be only 9 dpo today and some hope would be left...

Well I've had to come home early from work as my little boy has a high temperature (again!!) so I stopped at a shop and got a frer and it is completely stark white so I'm feeling pretty down. I'm also feeling crampy and (this may be tmi) but my cervix is open so I'm guessing af is imminent. Grrr I had been feeling so positive about this cycle [emoji17]

Sorry mommy. I’m 10/11 and tested this morning and bfn. Definitely had higher hopes this cycle and with christmas it would have been nice to see a positive. This was month 5 trying after mc month 1. Didn’t take this long with my other two.

Mummy i didn't realise it was so long for you. This is my 10th cycle ttc and like both of you it only ever took me 1 or 2 for that bfp (although I now know it's because of dhs trt)
I'm only tempted to test day b4 or day of AF because it's too expensive lol I bought some frers so I'll see how tomorrows temp looks and then decide.

I wish I had it to give! I feel if you don’t see a positive by 11 dpo it’s not happening. I didn’t get a positive last time until day of missed period and that ended in mc, so I really want an early positive. With my first I didn’t test until after missed bc I didn’t even think about it. With my second I got positive at 11. And I’m crazy and keep checking like the line will all of a sudden appear :sad:

So after getting getting my mirena removed on Wednesday (cd 17), i got my period on Saturday. That gave me a 19 day cycle after a 22 day cycle last month. I think it was the hormone shift. Ugh for screwing up my Xmas fertility but I guess I should be fertile around the 20th. I've been tempting. Surprisingly my highest temp was at menstruation. Strange.... any insight? I'm really sad because hubby also got afraid I could have gotten pregnant and already said he wants to use condoms in the critical phase in the next months. And he still doesn't want to determine a date when we really start trying. [emoji17] I'm really afraid of staying on the diet and exercising for the next 6 months without him giving his go...

And BBB when will you test?! If you did o on cd14 wouldn't af be here or spotting or a temp dip? If you are 10dpo instead though then a spike like that could be a great sign! At that high in temp too!

I'll start asking for help on that soon. I'm only cd4 now. The left is from Dec 2 and right Dec 1 a full 24 hours apart at like 11 ish am.
I'm feeling like I want to still use timing (although probably debunked) to sway girl. My LE diet is not strict enough so I'd like to go old school with timing. So thinking I might plan BD as the line gets close to dark. Idk...
I got pregnant third cycle last time, but first time using a opks.

Mummy2boys my opks would start getting dark just before af was due so. Your lh levels will vary after o. Plus your temps show a very clear shift into post o temps. The only thing questionable is whether cd19 is a possibility for o day....

GirlswayHGmama that first opk looks pos and the second one just a shade off so I would say your peak surge was number one opk and the second was as the surge was passing. I'd dtd at pos opk still as the one attempt is more important than the timing. BUT if your heart is set on trying to a 2-o attempt then I'd recommend testing twice a day - first between 1-3pm and then again between 7-9pm. If you get a near pos as in as close as your second opk above then I'd aim to dtd then because you would expect it to be a proper pos the next day and o day after that.
