Do any of you use fertility friend? I'm 8 DPO and it has this "early pregnancy symptoms" calculator that is really offing with my mind. I thought that I wouldn't really have any at this point? Am I wrong?

The problem is, the rise in progesterone that happens during the 2WW can cause symptoms that mess with people's heads because they're very much like pregnancy symptoms. So while it is possible to start getting some pregnancy symptoms at some point, the earlier out you are, the less likely they are to be legit, and then it really gets upsetting for people becasue they get their hopes up for no reason.

Thank you Atomic! That's what I thought. I have like 4 points which dropped from six points, and I know I could easily NOT be pregnant, but it confused me a little bit, especially since I am only 8 DPO.

Am I wrong?Kikurose early symptoms are so unreliable and it's amazing how many non symptom cycles become bfp ones when they've already been written off for lack of symptoms. Hang in there you are really close to knowing one way or another. Can you share your chart?! [emoji3] what hpts are you testing with and when?

Thanks for opening another thread/month, pbn! and for still being with us with your advises, thoughts and care :)
I wish all of us good luck, ladies, and lots of good news. The spring is coming!!!
I'm around 4dpo. I did e4d plus 1 attempt at pos opk-1... My opks really never were darker than test line, and when they were close enough I would BD, since waiting for the line to get darker, made me miss it. Anyway I had BD on cd10 in the morning, then BD 38 hours later at night on cd11 when I thought I got pos opk, and then I got really pos opk the next afternoon (cd12), and another BD next night (cd13) to continue my e4d. So, from one hand I worry I had lots of attempts in a short amount of time, and then worry none of it was quite timely.

Hello girls!! I'm switching over from the Feb board to march today! I'm on CD27 today and looking forward to my doc appt today. I got my progesterone levels back from my cd21 test and they were 3.34 so my doc believes I didn't ovulate. My appt for a RE isn't until April so I'm hoping he has some other options for me since I've had 3 anovulatory cycles in a row while on Clomid. I'm currently at 100mg but I'm going to ask about an increase with trigger shot.
I was also looking up my TSH levels back in August and they were on the low side of normal (.66) ... I'm going to ask for another thyroid test along with testing my T3 and T4 of the thyroid. I really feel that there's something else than my PCOS going on to throw my levels off so much.
Anything else I should be asking? I'm being treated by my obgyn right now, and I really don't want to have to wait till April when I see my RE to get things going again.

Star sounds like you have covered pretty much everything. I didn't realise your obgyn would do a trigger shot! That's fantastic! But that also means you'll need to get an ultrasound and I didn't think she could or would do that?? They'll need to do a folli check surely before giving the trigger? Can everyone (and anyone new) write what the plan is this cycle? Swaying pink or blue, doing e4d or one attempt at pos opk or both, doing multiple attempts at pos opk, eod etc etc When you expect to o approx (strawberrybella I'll remember yours as above [emoji6])
Also if you are charting can you post a link to your chart? If your happy to share the link here is how to do it:
In the app press on the menu icon top rh corner, select share chart and data, create/preview homepage. Press on the web address/link and it will open a page inyour phone browser. I am CD3 & start my first cycle ttc this month , start clomid tonight, so not sure when to expect ovulation. Normally it’s between CD18-20. I’ve attached a pic of last cycle, but think FF is a bit off on ov day as I only got +ve opk on clear blue that morning & had the ov pressure pain the next day.
Will be doing one attempt at +ve opk this month. Just hope the opk testing goes smoothly

Ff definately has your crosshairs in the wrong place [emoji52] we may need to change the mode depending what it does this cycle (I'll explain that down the track if we have to go there, it's really simple) I'd think it quite likely you oed 2nd day after pos? Day after pos is definately a possibility too though [emoji4] Clomid may bring your o forward too, 'generally' you should o by ten days after last pill so will be interesting to see when you do [emoji3]

Sent from my SM-G930V using TapatalkAny thermometer will do if you cant find a bbt one (that measures to two decimal points) One with a skinny neck are great. I'll post a pic of what I mean, not brand wise just style wise.
For yourself and anyone else considering temping I cant recommend vaginally temping enough. I know it may sound daunting but seriously after two or three goes it's as simple as brushing your teeth [emoji6] It can be far more accurate then orally temping which can result in unreliable temps due to open mouth breathing, the last thing you need at o time is the stress of wondering whether your temps are accurate or not. Vaginally temping involves inserting the thermometer high enough the tip is fully covered, for practice I usually recommend inserting alongside an index or middle finger and going in as far as the middle knuckle as that will ensure coverage without poking the cervix [emoji12][emoji23] Do this a few times and then you'll know by feel how far to go. Simply wipe it with an alcohol wipe to clean and put out of reach during the day so no little hands get a hold of it lol.

Well, my obgyn is referring me to the RE 2 cycles earlier than expected. He told me there was nothing more he could do for me. Onto my 5th round of Clomid (2nd round of 100mg). Still awaiting arrival of AF (due any day now). Currently CD27.
Swaying girl, DTD E4D (72 hour version) with additional attempt at positive OPK.
I chart, use opks, check CM, and timed intercourse. Drinking 3 cups of coffee daily (1 caffeinated, 2 decaf), folic acid 1600mg daily, skipping breakfast, watching red meats.

Ladies I 'm freaking out a little bit. I think I see a shadow on my pregnancy tests. I made one of my usual ones with fmu and was not sure if I see something. So I made one of another brand with smu and there the line is a bit better visable. I'm not sure if you can see the lines on the photo though. I don't know what to make of this. The line is wayyyy too faint for 11 dpo compared to my other pregnancies. Has anyone ever had this and it turned out to be a viable pregnancy??

Sent from my SM-G900I using TapatalkHeres what all went on yesterday: My doc (obgyn) immediately came into my exam room saw down and said, "well, based on your progesterone levels, I don't believe you ovulated this month... and since we are doing everything we possibly can here, I'm going to go ahead and refer you out to a reproductive endocrinologist for further testing to determine what's going on here". I prepared myself with all my charts and a list of things I wanted to bring up about hashimotos and testing my thyroid. So I said responded to his statement with, "well, let's take a look at my charts. 1st round was perfect- I ovulated, and it was a "normal" cycle. Onto the 2nd round- 17 days long and progesterone dominance during estrogen stage which would say I have low estrogen, onto 3rd round--20 days long again with progesterone dominance during estrogen stage, now this 4th cycle-- I have no idea what is going on- although with my progesterone test it came back very low so we know that progesterone isn't dominating anymore". And he nodded his head the entire time. I then asked if he could do a complete thyroid panel on me to test my T3 and T4 levels with my TSH again.... and he told me that my TSH was. 66 back in August and that it was all within normal range. THEN I said, likely those have changed bc levels change monthly, and when I was researching thyroid facts, doctors like to see it at a 2.5 or more! Mine is at .66!!! I told him how I really feel that something else is the underlining cause and that's why the Clomid isn't working. I told him that I'm always tired, cold, I have irregular periods, thinning hair, foggy brain, a range of emotions, and that something else is surely going on. He told me that he's still going to refer me bc although he can check all of that, that it's out of his offices realm... and that they don't have the equipment to check what they need to-- like follicular checks, and people to do trigger shots, but that the RE will be able to do all of that... He said he doesn't want to continue doing something that isn't working. So I'm glad he recognized my concerns and was honest about what his practice cannot do or check. He wasn't going to give me anymore Clomid but I almost started crying... My eyes teared up and I said can you please consider giving me another round of Clomid until I can get into Magees in April bc I don't want to waste any more time. And he agreed. Thank God! Yesterday was rough... I'm still adjusting to the fact that I have to go to the next step. I'm terrified of getting in the position of only having IVF as our only and last option bc insurance doesn't cover it.... it's sooooo expensive. My husband is trying to convince me that this next step is really good, and that we will get more answers but I just feel so broken!
I had called a RE last month when I was having anovulatory cycles and I set up a new consult appt and they were already booking in April... My appt is set for April 12th, but my doc office is going to call them today (yesterday my appt ran late and the office they needed to call was already closed) so hopefully they'll be able to get me in sooner. 🤞🤞 I would like them to keep trying Clomid and a trigger shot to see if that'll help. I can't help but get a little excited about the possibility of twins on Clomid, so femara would be my last choice (if I was given one).

My beta-hcg is at 4,5. I think this is way too low for 11 dpo?? With DS2 it was 325 at 15 dpo, so there seems to be something wrong? Has anybody had experience with low values that resulted in a viable pregnancy??

I have been taking Milk,Folic supplements and cranberry and husband coffee. Trying to follow the LE diet but not very strict on it.
I have been tracking my ovulation and My ovulation is mostly on 5th March. I am not quite sure about cutoff should we do or not but We had BD on 27th Feb night and I used Rephresh and we had shallow penetration.hubby did release himself on 27th morning and 28th morning. Should we continue to do BD until 2-3 days before O ? or just ask husband to do FR few more days and then have BD 2 days before ovulation ? Please let me know if this will have any possibility in Pink . Thank you so much.

My beta-hcg is at 4,5. I think this is way too low for 11 dpo?? With DS2 it was 325 at 15 dpo, so there seems to be something wrong? Has anybody had experience with low values that resulted in a viable pregnancy??

Verena it all depends when implantation occurs. The key is that it should double every 2-3 days (I think that's the range)- are they doing a follow-up blood draw?

Star I truly hope your appt with RE can be moved forward but so happy your obgyn is continuing with the clomid until then. Do you think it's worth trying clomid days 2-6 next cycle? It's not a big change but may just be a little push that helps? Maybe give him a call and check? I only thought of that just now sorry.... It's great he listened to you (a lot of dr's wont), when will the thyroid checks go ahead?

Pbn do u have some experience with myoinositol? I already tried it in the past and it helped me ovulate sooner. My doctor told me it helps with egg quality. Now i dont use it so i dont know if i should give it try...maybe it could help me get pregnant sooner...Sorry Noemi I don't have any experience with it but I've heard of it. Maybe check with Atomic? Open a thread in the ttc girl section. In saying that I cant help but feel your situation is more poor timing and the one unprotected attempt so I'd be inclined to try a couple cycles of e4d (72 hour version) before introducing anything else. The addition exposure to sperm and the gaurantee of an attempt that counts will go a long way in upping your conception odds.

Hi and welcome pinkwaymommy!
Maybe copy and paste your post and create a new thread in the ttc a girl forums for atomic to respond as these threads are more of a support thread and Atomic only occassions reads and chimes in. She always answers peoples questions via threads created though [emoji3]
In saying I'm happy to give you some input until you hear back from atomic! So firstly the diet is the most important sway tactic so I'd start concentrating more on it than anything else. The diet, one attempt and cardio for minimum one hour 4+ times a week (preferably 6-7) has gotten the best results for pink. Milk (calcium) isn't considered a pink tactic here, it's perfectly fine to have though but keep it to within the LE diet limits. Coffee 2-3 daily and alcohol (one drink daily or less, whatever you're comfortable with). Cutoff and represh will just drop your conception odds. For your first couple cycles trying I'd recommend one attempt at pos opk (I'm assuming you're using opks and temping to track your o) any other bd's should be protected. If that doesn't result in a bfp then move onto an e4d pattern for dtd unprotected.
If you don't use opks then for the remainder of this cycle I'd go to e4d (96 hour version) so if you bded 27th February you'd bd again 3rd March, 7th etc. Good luck and please keep us updated! Ask away any questions because if we cant answer we'll let you know to post it in a thread for atomic [emoji4]

I asked about that to the nurse when I asked if I could do any bloodwork before hand to get the ball rolling and she told me that I cannot get bloodwork done until my appt... And that likely, they will do a complete detail panel on everything. She said it's mostly always done the same day as the appt, so I'm guessing we will do everything on Friday. Or if I'm close enough to starting Clomid, they may do a follicule scan and go from there... Who knows. I'm on CD28 today and AF is no where in site, although my temps are the lowest they've been in months!! I haven't had this long of a cycle for a long while as well. And no, I'm not opposed to switching days! I love the 2-6 days bc more eggs means more chance of multiples lol but I guess I need to ovulate for that to happen as well haha hopefully AF will hold off until after my appt so this cycle can be carefully planned out. <3

Verena post a pic of your new test as I'm usually quite good at squinters! Also don't read anything into your hcg quant. at the moment as its so early and you literally may have just implanted the two days prior to testing and first bw. I can see your hpts say a sensitivity of 10mIU which is super sensitive and could explain why you're seeing something so early.
Good to know your doc said under 3, as far as I've always been told it was 5 [emoji848] so that's a good sign! Oh and that progesterone result sounds fine!
Looking forward to some more pics!!!

I had two miscarriages, one in October and the other one at Christmas. Before our four boys, I had a miscarriage as well. Had some testing done and they all came back normal. My doctor put me on Femara this cycle and they want to check to make sure I ovulated. I was doing opk strips and ovulated on Monday, which is over a week earlier than normal!

I'm loving this experience and savouring it as much as possible [emoji173][emoji173] My long story short, started le diet early 2015, began ttc mid 2015, stopped swaying (and coincidently fell pregnant) december 2016, found out I had low ovarian reserve after first emc Jan 2016 hence the clomid. Lost another pregnancy both June and December 2016. Had my last cycle (and 5th clomid one all up I think it was) March 2017 that was bfn, gave up ttc and fell pregnant from a random (drunken) bd in April as in it was the only time we dtd that month [emoji23] So she is pretty much a miracle on every sense!!

Heres what all went on yesterday: My doc (obgyn) immediately came into my exam room saw down and said, "well, based on your progesterone levels, I don't believe you ovulated this month... and since we are doing everything we possibly can here, I'm going to go ahead and refer you out to a reproductive endocrinologist for further testing to determine what's going on here".

Swaying pink. One attempt at positive opk, for now with a little lubricant. Walking on elliptical about an hour 6 to 7 days a week. Folic acid, coffee, wine or beer. Modified diet, to regulate any potential blood sugar issues and keep healthy ovulation (one miscarriage in November 2017) and because I had a sway opposite a few years ago. Started this way January 1st, February first attempt. Positive wondfo opk day 15 first cycle and day 17 second cycle. Will try to start temping this cycle.

Yesterday I felt quite positive, my doc called in the evening and told me my beta had increased from 4.5 to 9.6 in 23 hours. Today my fmu test didn't get darker compared to yesterday and the smu test even is lighter. I know this can happen once in a while without meaning something but if I see the total, the super low beta values for 11/12 dpo and the line not getting darker, I really don't have a good feeling :-(
Glad you saw my lines though pbn. I was seriously thinking there was something wrong with the internet between Germany and Australia ;-)

I am temping but it's never really reliable as it's taken at different times as I'm a shift worker and my DD has been unwell this last week. Fingers crossed for our BFP's this month ladies, can't wait to follow and see.
Good luck! Not long to wait...

Weird results today.... top is clinical guard opks and bottom is wondfos. I also took a wondfos test this am and at first there wasn't a line... now (5 mins later) there's a line. Thinking a possible dye run bc my temps are just too low still. Thoughts? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180303/d251e69be736c9134066890b8580180a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180303/5e56792ebb42aa94a2f62e33bb79f1fe.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180303/41b23e4f1fe42d9ed0b0a6fa9821ed45.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180303/9e9e6f2fdbada431165ca7819bc9d02b.jpg

Star did the tests touch at all? I've seen before a false positive on a hpt dip test caused by a dye transfer from another dip test touching? I'd do another test though for sure as that is a decent line so if it's a true bfp it'll show from just a hold.

[emoji170] 08/2014 [emoji170] 04/2016Congratulations Verena!!! You really can only judge progression every 48 hours on your hpts at this early stage and low hcg. Try and not dwell on the number at a certain dpo as you don't know when implantation occured so this pregnancy could be perfectly normal. It sounds very positive seeing as your numbers doubled in just 24 hours. Just keep poas and watch the line darken over the next week. Dip tests aren't always the best for progression this early either and test sensitivity will still vary but by a few more days (3-4) your hcg should have increased significantly enough for a noticeable change from yesterdays bfp and the line should continue to darken from there. Will be watching and have everything crossed that things work out xo

Sent from my SM-G900I using TapatalkI will test later today. The hpt was done with FMU... I'm not even getting my hopes up bc my temps don't correspond with a pregnancy. I should have continued to use opks and I thought about that yesterday... so that's why I started again.

Hi ladies! Well, it would seem that my cycle has me bamboozled this month! Typically, I have a significant temp raise after ovulation. Typically a one degree shift. This month, Clomid on CD3-7 and MAJOR signs of ovulation (ewcm, positive OPKs, increased sex drive) and then a very very small increase in temp. Any insight? Should I follow up with OB for progesterone check to make sure I’m good there? Or should I start progesterone(still have plenty of refills) this cycle?

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI think atomic would suggest you doing 1 attempt at pos OPK bc that is what she suggested to me... and then after that first round, if you don't get pregnant go to every 4 days (72 hour version). I liked that version better just bc I felt like we had a chance each month since it was frequent enough to have at least 1 attempt during the fertile window... there's really no way to miss your chance. Go with your gut girl!

Thank you pbn! It's just that I used the same brand of tests with ds1 and 2 and in those pregnancies you could see the tests darken really fast, even the pm test of a day was darker than the am test. Now I don't see any progression at all... Today my fmu test looks even lighter than the tests from yesterday. I think this can't be normal. I'm thinking about asking for another beta tomorrow. If I still see a line on my test tomorrow. I have the feeling they are fading :-(

Star what weird results! Have you tested again? Your pregnancy test looks darker than mine, I can't imagine it is a fake line. I think you mentioned that you take your temp with a bracelet and that there is some algorithm choosing what temperatures to display. Have you used it for a longer time in the past and has it been reliable? That's tje only explanation that comes into my mind, that there is something wrong with the temperatures.
Good luck anyway, having everything crossed for you that this turns out to be real!

Dtd e4d after first pos opk is a good idea just in case of either false pos or delayed o. So the cb digis will be fine to start whatever day the instructions recommend as per you cycle. I wouldn't bother with the one step ones until you're on the flashing smileys. If you get what looks like a pos with a one step you can retest with the digi that evening (providing its a flashing smiley which it would have to be if your surge is string enough to look pos on a dio test)to see if its solid but unless you have a short surge I'm not convinced its worth retesting as you'll very likely end up with a 2-o attempt instead of 1-o attempt which is still really good and perfectly fine but I know a 1-o is most peoples ideal attempt.

You'll almost always have some kind of line on your opks as lh is always in your system its just the levels that vary, we are looking for the peak level which indicates o is immenent [emoji4] (is that what you mean about happening during the 5 days?) Clomid can cause false pos opks which is why you need to wait 3 days after last pill to use (the digis you have don't appear to be affected though, I used them with clomid cycles from the usual cd8 as per my cycle length and they didn't miss a beat)

I couldn’t agree more with this! We just started TTC last month after a recent miscarriage. I started having sore breasts, hot flashes, felt emotional, etc. I started thinking I may be pregnant, but nope they were just hormones fluctuations before ugly Aunt Flo showed up! You’d think after 4 kids I’d know, but I’ve only had a few periods total in between kids over the last 6 years!

Good luck star and emshe! Kikurose I'm sorry af arrived and on top of this you have to skip a month. That must be so frustrating...
My test are still very faint and not getting darker. I bought a "reputable" test yesterday, I think it's very similar to a frer. It was negative, only after an hour or so there was a very faint line. So unfortunately it's not my internet cheapies that are the problem. At the moment I think, there is no point in taking more betas as I'm so sure this is not meant to be. So I guess I'm just waiting until I maybe start to bleed? Or is there any point in seeing my doc before that? Physically I feel fine, no cramps or pain at all.

You can have ewcm during anytime of your cycle.

So far I haven't taken clomid, but I wanted to ask my doc for it last week when I turned out to be pregnant. I have another appointment on friday and I will ask him then. I'm not sure if I should take it this cycle already though (and I don't trust my doc's recommendations as he is no expert for fertility treatments). I'm actually bleeding less than during normal af so not sure what to count as CD1 and when to start the clomid. So maybe I will do the same as you did and just skip this month.

A line will usually always appear, but its not a positive unless its as dark as or darker than the control line. I just used to like to watch the line come in (darken) to a pos and although you're not supposed to I looked at the digi test cartridges too. They may not be the same for everyone though which is why you always go by the reading (solid smiley)
Should be close to o now then onto the 2ww!!!
Oh and don't use your dip tests until probably Friday??

Thanks! It went well. They did a physical on me and that was it... I have a TON of bloodwork to get done. I have to get 2 different ultrasounds done- one is a HSG and a SHG... for the blood work I have to wait until my cycle starts-- call in on cd1 and have bloodwork done on either cycle day 2, 3 or 4 ... then after bleeding ends, I have to have both ultrasounds done before I ovulate so roughly between CD6 and CD13. My hubby has to do another semen analysis. He's not very happy about that. Lol. But that's where we are at with things. He mentioned about ordering me a blood test to check for pregnancy but must have forgotten... when I called back in to ask about that since my temps are high and I haven't gotten a period yet, they said if i don't start my pd in 10 days then they'll order me a test and if I'm not pregnant, they'll prescribe me provera to induce a period.... 🤞🤞 fingers crossed that I'm already pregnant and don't have to go through all that testing. I've heard it's painful!!
