Ladies, ill be cheering you all on for those BFP's. Dont think Ill join in ttc this month, so Ill probably be sad and lonely in June ttc thread because you're all going to get lucky before then I know it!

LOL emshe you won't be lonely in the June thread as I will still be here! Been on the TTC boards since last July and seem destined to never move on. Not that I want to - I've "met" so many beautiful ladies on this board and love following your journeys as much as my own. But it would be nice to be pregnant with a rainbow baby. :) But regardless, I will still be around :) So have you decided to hold off in May and try in June w/Clomid?
Kitten - I know, I'm on CD30 and I've never had this long a cycle in my life! Seriously. My cycles are normally 24-25 days with a 10 day LP. However I ovulated late and I've been taking progesterone at night. Going to stop that tomorrow and hopefully AF arrives soon for both of us.
Gafan - really really hope this is your month!!!

Hope af shows up soon ABC. I'm used to the long cycles mine can be 35 days long but my lp is always 9days- even before ds2 but I'm not used to af being late.. all tests are negative and having some serious cramping this afternoon so I have no idea what's going on with me- just want to know one way or another!

It's gonna be MAY! (couldn't help myself with the NSYNC reference)
Still waiting for AF, but I think she will be here tomorrow. Temp dropped to today and these cramps and weepiness makes me think tomorrow is the day.
Hoping hoping hoping for so many BFPs this month!

Hey ladies! I’m hoping to see some familiar ladies in here. It’s my last month ttc and my OPKs and temps are throwing me for a loop. Here’s my latest OPK today. So there is a chance that my body is gearing up to ovulate. Although my chart wants to believe it was 6 days ago. Agghhhhhh.
Any insight? I want to believe I’ll have a chance this month. I’m currently cd19, non medicated cycle after 2 months of Clomid. Antibiotics in the early days of this cycle with strep. I haven’t been paying much attention to cm but now is looking more like ewcm.

Hannah - very odd. Your temps def make it look like you ovulated. Did you get a "close to positive OPK" before CD13? I know I've had cycles before where I ovulated but OPK never got very dark.
Well I didn't use a progesterone capsule last night and apparently as a result, AF came crashing down this morning. Have an ultrasound on Thursday morning to see if the cyst is gone & if I'm ok to start Clomid. If I'm cleared for Clomid we're going to try this cycle. :worry: I'm still on the fence about it but we'll see what happens.

Hannah just looked at your chart again - I wasn't looking at the temps before and just noticed that even with the jump, they are still really low (below 95 degrees). What is your normal post-O temp range? Maybe you haven't O'd yet. Hmm.

ABC, thanks for responding. Hopefully you’ll get good news at your appt on Thursday.
My pre-o temps are a lot lower than normal. Much lower. So that threw me for a loop too. They just kept going down. I had an almost there OPK when I first started testing, around cd 10/12, I think. But the rest were all barely visible. I kept testing just in case ovulation was delayed this cycle due to being odd clomid and having antibiotics too. So we’ll see. Maybe this chart will be that one chart that is unexplained and still ends in a bfp! Hahaha

Hannah hmmm I have no idea what's going on but I'd say just keep BD-ing often to make sure you're covered if O comes late!!!
Emshe - I have no advice either on that as I tried vaginal temping one cycle and hated it :) Pbn and others should have some tips though!
So you know you've been on the LE diet a looooooonnng time when you are eating the dinner you made for the family and your 5 year old asks, "Mommy why are you eating the same dinner as us?". I normally eat a different meal and I guess he's gotten used to it!!

Hannah I think I mentioned in April's thread I'm not convinced you've oed either judging by your temps. I'd stick to bding e4d (72 hour version) for now and continue with your opks. It is possible to get ewcm in the 2ww (although I never did) but chances are you're still gearing up to o. Not sure if antibiotics can affect your temps making them lower than usual [emoji848] but as previously discussed they can delay o [emoji4] Fx you have some answers within the next few days! It's incredibly frustrating when things go haywire but try and not dwell on it if you can help it. Try your best to accept that this cycle isn't straightforward but you are covered attempt wise if you have oed and you'll be covered by e4d for now if you haven't and don't get a fully pos opk. If/when you do get a pos opk you can add some attempts in then to achieve smep. Also if you can help it, try and put the 'last cycle trying' out of mind. Stress can do incredible things to our body, I believe there is some truth behind this, that the more stressed we are about ttc the more the body rejects the idea (maybe because of how wound up it feels)? I don't know of course and it could be a whole lot of hogwash but just in case.....

Emshe vaginal temping is definately the way to go. Have a few practice goes to get the idea and trust me, within a few days it'll be like you've always done it [emoji4] For the first couple practice goes, try inserting the thermometer alongside your index finger to get an idea of how far to insert. You only need to go as far as the middle knuckle. The head of the thermometer needs to be fully covered but you don't want it poking your cervix [emoji12] Once you remove it, wipe over with an alcohol swab/wipe and Bob's your uncle!

Sounds easy enough. So does the waking and getting up to go to the loo and stuff effect the vag temp?
And yeah to the alcohol wipes. Guarantee Ill accidently through habit put it in my mouth the next go!!!!

Yes movement will affect your temp, especially getting up out of bed, but temping vaginally removes the inaccuracy of open mouth breathing. Maybe try and limit your fluids a couple hours before bed? Or if you consistently get up to wee during the night and around the same time and usually after a similar amount of sleep, do you temping before getting up to pee. So if your consistently getting about 4+ hours of sleep and wake at say 3am to pee, take your temp then, especially if your remainder sleep is erratic/unsettled. Bbt's are best taken after a solid sleep.

No the doc thinks my cyst developed around the time of my last miscarriage in March. She found it on an ultrasound last month and wants to recheck it before prescribing Clomid this cycle. It was pretty big, and I think if it hasn't gotten any smaller she'll tell me I need to hold off on Clomid until it does, but I'm not sure.

Mummy, this is the reason my DH just wants to be done. He says ttc feels like we are all in a holding pattern instead of just living life and focusing on our kids. But wouldn’t it be nice to just get a bfp while not trying?! That’s the dream. Hahahaha.
Side topic: is anyone else sore from ttc? I feel like the mix of supplemental cocktail plus having sex more frequently than we usually do. Hahaha. And now I officially sound like an old, married person. But seriously, body aches and soreness in my lady bits has me all discombobulated over here. And we’re SMEP! So that means for the next few days, I’m gonna need to suck it up.

Hannah that looks pretty close... do you normally get a proper pos? If so, *maybe* just continue with eod or e4d until it is pos especially if things are getting a little sore. Mummy - I understand, and I think a lot of us on here have had those same feelings as well... It's tough. I was just thinking today that maybe we should just give it 3 more cycles of trying with Clomid and if it doesn't happen (or if I miscarry again), then maybe we should call it quits. I want to have a life again that doesn't revolve around trying/swaying/waiting all the time. I don't know - it's really hard to know when it's "enough" and time to move on when you want something so much...

Guess who found her thermometer?!?! Lol... its been two months since ive temped. I just tucked in my 2 year old for the last time...tomorrow is his 3rd birthday. Nothing says baby fever more than your baby being another year older.
Mentally preparing for the "whens the next one???" questions this weekend when family is here for his party.
So... my "period" lasted about 6 hours and was only brown. I know i didnt expect a normal period 36 days post d&c, but to not have anything today seeemed strange to me. I guess its just a wait and see kind of thing. My wondfo hpt was stark white.
Dang tapatalk is really driving me nuts. Ive been trying to reply.. for like forever.

Yea it's official, HG. We are twins separated by birth. My 2 year old turns 3 on Sunday. This is getting kinda weird LOL!
That is weird about your bleeding... I'd say just keep doing OPKs and see what happens. This last cycle of mine was really weird - I'm sure it's b/c of the m/c - so very possible that's what's going on with you. And atomic just confirmed to me the other day (or was it today? I can't keep track) on another post that wonky cycles tend to sway pink!
Oh and happy birthday to your DS!! :)

My Ovulation Chart (https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/6e6d7d/)Your temps look great. Did you log all your BDs? There's something about healthy sperm regenerate at a certain rate, so thats why i chose every 4 days and that still gives me one attempt in the fertile period. Atomic would have to help out on that answer. I guessing your swaying girl. Is your meds femara? What type of hpt are you using? If not a FRER, then can you get your hands on one for tomorrow?

Well I have to wait until later today to find out if we're good to go on Clomid or not. The cyst was still there this morning, but it's small now and the nurse just wants the doc to look over the ultrasound results & decide. Nurse thinks it will be ok to start it this cycle but she couldn't give me the go ahead herself. Sigh.

Noemi - No my doctor and my RE have me on Clomid to improve progesterone/LP. I mainly want to be on it for swaying purposes :) But I do think it is helping to sort out some hormone issues with my cycles. Do you think your doctor would consider putting you on something since you've been trying for awhile now? I think Femara is supposed to help with egg quality.

So here’s an interesting fact: I’ve been wearing the Ava bracelet. Some of my findings I have really questioned. Especially the amount of sleep. So I thought, “what if my temps are really off too?” Woke up and took my bbt this morning and it was in my post O temps. Hmmm. Interesting. Now I wish I wouldn’t have relied on this dumb bracelet

Just looked back at my chart. I had three days of heavy wet discharge with minor spotting before AF finally started. I never ever have spotting before and I never have wet cm then either. I was kind of freaking out about it tbh, but it hasn't happened since. I reached out to atomic when it was happening and she said the same happened to her the cycle before she conceived her DD!

Hey there, how's everyone feeling?
I'm on CD6 today. DH and I have picked up our boys' latest colds and the pollen levels here right now are really high so my head feels like it's going to explode with sinus headaches. Had to pop a Zyrtec today - which I don't really want to include with my "sway" (since it doesn't seem to really work anyways and I already have Clomid to dry up my CM) but I can't be miserable all week! Bleck. It's making me really grumpy :(

Morning Ladies! At least its morning for me. I'm CD7 and think ill start opk-ing at CD10. This is all assuming that my brown spotting was CD1... which of course I could have been wrong. Only time will tell.
DH and I are also being affected by the allergies. DH is taking ALOT of allergy medicine so I wonder how that affects semen and sperm quality.
I've got a job advancement interview this afternoon. Same job but trying to get on a specialized team. If I got the job, it would require going to night shift (3x12 hrs / week). I got pregnant on nights with my son so i know it wont mess with me too much but i was unable to temp and opk consistently. Also, Im super worried that starting a new position and possibly being disabled from being so sick from hyperemesis will be horrible.
Well thats what is going on here...
Everyone- what frequency of one attempt are you going to try? I was just reading about SMEP and that sounds horribly stressful. I totally cant dtd that often. Neither can DH.

So i basically did this for fun and to get a baseline on where I am. Expected a very light LH strip. WTH??? This time it definitely isnt hcg affecting the LH strip. It was FMU, but not super concentrated at all. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180508/3ef6f10da253dd4be47a2bbf544a6243.jpg

HG - Whoa that looks positive!! Maybe that brown spotting wasn't AF then and you're just now ovulating after the m/c? CD8 would seem like too early to get a +OPK... Is that possible? Are you guys going to to get an attempt in then just in case?

Is anyone else doing E4D/E5D? Is it recommended for a girl sway to do E5D like Monday and Saturday, or is it Monday/Friday and E4D would be like Monday/Thursday.
I just can't keep up with work, my toddler, and TTC with the OPKS be so I'm hoping to still sway girl as much as possible with the one attempt, but trying the ED method. I'm just not sure which is more pink friendly.

Eighme I think a Monday/Saturday pattern would be very low odds of conception if you ovulated later in the week before the Saturday attempt. From what I've read most sperm only live up to 72 hours which is why I think a Monday/Thursday pattern has better odds of conception. Monday/Friday would be a little "pinker" maybe but again, lower odds of conception depending on the day you O. I think lately most of the ladies on here are doing the Mon/Thurs (every 72 hours or so) pattern.

So I had a little EWCM this morning (it's more wet now) and got this line on a Wondfo opk. Obviously not positive yet but darker than I'm used to seeing on CD9! Atomic says Clomid can cause false positive OPKs for 3 days after finishing it so maybe that's why. Wondering though if I'll O earlier this cycle....
I have a follicle ultrasound on Friday so that will tell us more I guess! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180509/55afbe3a37d28b5a10f6c27cfbd2b851.jpg

Yea I think it's that too. I also did another one this afternoon and it was way lighter... The pee was more diluted, but still, kinda weird. Just going to keep watching and see what it does the next couple of days, but I'm guessing the Friday ultrasound will tell me if I'm getting close.

ABC, if you do a quick google search you can verify this as fact or just read this thread here for a sample Does taking Clomid affect ovulation predictor test results? | Amazing Pregnancy (http://amazingpregnancy.com/pregnancy-articles/509-html.html). You're not even supposed to do OPK with Clomid prior to that point because it's impossible for your body to ovulate that quickly after stopping the Clomid. You literally can't stop Clomid CD 7 and then have surged and Oed by CD 9/10 because Clomid stops that process.

Oh ok - gotcha. I totally believed you on the false positive thing too, just thought it was weird to have that dark of a line already, combined with the odd amount of EWCM I had this morning. My cycles have always been RIDICULOUSLY consistent - even with Clomid, swaying, miscarriages, etc., so it would be very unlikely for me to ovulate that much earlier than normal anyways. Maybe I'm just more on edge this cycle since last cycle I ovulated late and my cycle was longer than normal - which is I'm pretty sure the first time in years that that's happened! I guess that was the effect of the last miscarriage though. It takes A LOT to throw my cycles off!!

That's only two days away, ABC.
I had an above coverline temp this am and an equally dark line again today. I'm just baffled at where i am in my so called cycle. The only thing i can possibly consider is fact that I've had a history of short cycles. When i was twelve I had 18-21 days cycles and went on birth control to control cycle length since it was disruptive to my preteen life. I had times before marriage and in between relationships where i went off birth control and reverted back to a short cycle, if i remember right it was 20-25 days.
But I'll be honest, I haven't been swaying hardly at all so if I get pregnant we'll really being putting the one attempt theory to a test.

Sure!
Conceived on 2nd month TTC in January. BFP on 2/4. Found out at 10&4 that our baby's heart stopped at 8&6 ish, and had a d&c on 3/26 (11&0 gestation). Genetics came back XO (turner syndrome). Bled on day 0, day 6, and day 10 post of surgery. Hpt still positive, so hcg levels were drawn. 105 on 4/11 and 33 on 4/18. No more levels drawn. Got ok'd to resume TTC. Had brown spotting to light bleeding on 5/1 for about 6 hours. Was optimistically hoping that was CD1 for me. Yesterday CD8, took a hpt and opk for fun and looked like this. Equally dark opk today. Having some lower quadrant pain, right yesterday and today left. Temp climbing but dont have a long history of tracking lately. Hardly any CM. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180510/a627cb43aca8676c24f0a25cb396edae.jpg

HG so sorry for your loss.
I would have you on e4d in this situation. I would definitely have attempt now but from here on in, until things normalize, I suspect you'd be best off doing e4d (and if this feels too nervewracking, you can extend it a day and do it in the Monday/Friday pattern or even longer and do like one attempt a week. Your odds of conception would not be sky high but it would for sure be one attempt.
We just can't know where you are in the cycle based on any of this because it's just not possible without more info. The only other option would be to get in for bloodwork, although I suspect you've probably had quite enough of that.

Hannah, I have the same proboelm. I thought I was pregnant last month due to MAJOR hormonal issues, pinching in my ovary (never had before), and awful breast pain. I got one positive pregnancy test, and then all negatives after that so I'm not sure what happened there because AF came as usual. Last cycle was a really wonky cycle for me and now I am hyper aware of any minor change in my body due to this.

Noemi looking forward to this cycle and o in a week or so! Fx the small changes you do make a big difference [emoji173]
Emshe are you still following along here? Do you think you're 4dpo or 1dpo? We had a perfectly time PROTECTED attempt [emoji23] I almost said hell let’s just go for it but couldn’t bring myself to... we did have attempts at end of April when opks were looking almost positive. Think my body tried but just didn’t get there. Shame. As I didn’t want to ttc in May- it’s just me being weird about the whole Chinese calendar thing (forehead slap)
June and July ov dates I’ll likely be back, with clomid hoping upon hope we get lucky because it’s really taken a toll. Hubby asked last night we’re done now aren’t we, even though we discussed the June July attempts whilst we were away. Guess I’ll be forced to cross the path when July is over.
I am so keen to see where everyone’s at. I hope it’s all free sailing towards bfp’s!!!!!????

Good idea to stick to e4d as you may not have oed yet. I know of two ladies in the last year that got multiple pos opks (real proper pos's too) at two to three different stages on their cycle and from several days to over a week apart (negative tests in between).... cd8 would be really really early to o. So you only had one day of light bleeding and one day medium bleeding the af prior?? Could be that you're not even cd8 but cd 40 something in which case would make more sense if o did happen. What are your other signs like? Did you have fertile cm that dried up? O pains?

Pbn,
Yes, I had a spike CD16 last cycle.
Opks have faint second line but not near positive yet. Been testing afternoon and evening for a few days. Yesterday's afternoon reading was later than usual, at 3pm I think. Few fluids for 4hrs before that. Got a fade in like this last time with clear positive on CD18. If not clear positive today (CD17) would you suggest attempt tonight or tomorrow night? This will be attempt month 4.
Plan is for E4D moving forward but this cycle I prefer to wait for positive OPK to start.
Is it possible that am opk could be negative at 7 or 9pm one day and positive at 1pm the next day but that by 10pm that positive night the attempt is too late?

I honestly am the unluckiest person for getting false positives!! I’m only 8dpo but a pee on a stick addict so did one earlier and a dark pink line came up instantly! I was so excited! I did another to check and completely white. How can that be??? Not even a cheap test either. Grrrrrrr. Hi! I've been out with a nasty tummy bug, which elevated my temps, which was the least worst part of it. I think I'm on the other side of it now though.
We are doing kinda SMEP. My stomach bug didn't help (we missed CD 10) and I'm worried he's going to get it right when it's time. I'm on CD 11 today and expect my LH surge over the weekend if not Monday.
Now to go catch up with all the posts I missed!

Thanks atomic. We've doing between every 72-96 hours depending on mood. We dtd on that first positive opk on CD8 because it had been 5 days due to mood and not thinking i could possibly be ovulating soon. Its a possibility I ovulated today because my opk was just slightly lighter. I guess we'll see with temps and time.... I looked back and I had a past cycle that I ovulated this early according to temps and fertility friend.
Oh and nothing scares a girl into buying some LE foods than a possibility of already ruining a sway. So chugging the iced coffee and picked up some pork. I'm usually a very red meat girl.

You can't tell if you've ovulated based on your OPK getting lighter - that's not how it works. You can have your OPK go negative and not have ovulated yet, or you can have it stay positive for a day or more after ovulation. I had actually just written a pretty thorough explanation in another thread, I'll copy it below:
An analogy I like to use to help people explain what surging/OPK really is....
The LH surge is NOT ovulation, it doesn't make you ovulate, it's just like this signal your body sends to itself to say "ok everything is in place, let's ovulate at some point pretty soon here". It's as if your boss came to your office and stuck a post-it on your door that said "Call Cleveland by Friday". The Post It doesn't make you call Cleveland, and it isn't instantaneous. It's just a signal. (the post it note signifies the positive OPK)
You could see that note, come in, and call Cleveland right away. (this would be akin to having a surge and Oing all right in a row very quickly)
Or you could ignore the note for a couple days, leave it on your door, but still call Cleveland right away (this would be akin to having a positive OPK for a couple days even tho you already ovulated)
Or, you could take down the note right away but not call Cleveland and just remember to do it later (your OPK goes negative, but you haven't ovulated yet)
Or, you could leave the note up for many days and then not call Cleveland until the very last minute (having many days of positive OPK that culminates in ovulation)
Or you could take down the note, throw it in the trash, and never call Cleveland (so your ovulation is delayed or stopped)
You could even have your boss mean to put up the post it note but forget, or maybe you don't see it or it falls off or whatever (you never get a positive OPK because the strips are defective or your urine is diluted or you miss a day of testing)
The point is, the act of ovulation and the surge are connected but aren't cause and effect. The OPK surge doesn't make you ovulate, it signals to this other body part (your ovary aka the worker in question) that ovulation is desired and so the worker/ovary needs to do its job and call Cleveland/pop out that egg but it does that on its own timeline to a very great extent. All the pos OPK is, is a post it note from on high that tells you do perform a task but leaves the when, up to you or your ovary to decide. So you can have a pos opk that goes negative but still have not ovulated, you can have a pos OPK that goes on for many days and have already ovulated, you can have days and days of positive OPK and have Oed at the very start of them or not till the very end of them or smack dab in the middle, you can have even false positives (you get pos OPK but never O) or false negatives (you O without ever getting a pos OPK)

Pbn,
Yes, I had a spike CD16 last cycle.
Is it possible that am opk could be negative at 7 or 9pm one day and positive at 1pm the next day but that by 10pm that positive night the attempt is too late?
https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/6e5253
It's possible but the vast majority of the time that would be perfect timing.

Hi
I have 2 beautiful boys and wasn’t on planning on having anymore kids. I’m almost6 weeks pregnant. I’m not handling this news really well since I’m not sure if I can handle having a 3rd baby. I think the only thing that would make it better is if the baby was a girl. Besides having my doctor order a gender/genetic test is there any other reliable companies out there that do it at 9 weeks or before? I think my doctor likes to do it no sooner than 10 weeks.

Hi healthy girl! I remember you from a loooong time ago! I'm pretty sure 10 weeks is the most accurate time for blood draw for gender (they take the sample from between 9-11 weeks from memory but if its too early you may need to get a repeat draw) and unfortunately any test that claims it can tell you earlier is false advertising. Hope you hear pink x

I'm sorry mummy2boys and that pink line you talk about is the dye moving across the test strip as far as I know. It will 'stick' to the test line area and become a line if hcg is detected. It's still early and you still have every chance xo
