So I have been wondering and can't find much online... Does the moms life style play a role in gender?
A. Do moms who color their hair, have there nails done, exercise to stay thin, overly clean their homes, and so on... have more girls?
B. Do moms who don't care about hair and nails, take their time cleaning the house, or enjoy sitting around... have more boys?
... Forgot the add "have girls" and "have boys" to the poll so...
Are you A or B?

If that's the case it's no wonder I have so many boys!!

I'm more type B....but I'm not messy when it comes to my looks, I just don't have that hi-tech appearance kwim.
I WAS thin ( before boy sway ) but never excersised, never polish my nails. I def enjoy more to sit around with friends for a cup of coffee then to clean my house LOL but that's only natural right?
I voted 3rd option: High Main. when going somewhere Low Main. most of the time and my house cleaned but not everyday
2 girls so far....

I don't really get this q's? What do you mean by #3? high main. but when going somewhere low main?
And the clean the house 1-2 times a week you mean the whole house everything or just some cleaning?
And is this about us or the house?

High maintenance is a term for a women who has to have the perfect look like... coloring hair all the time, have nails perfect, makeup, nice clothing.
I put house cleaning because some women use chemicals to clean the house... somewhere I saw that being around chemicals lowers fertility in both men and women. I myself only use vinager for all house cleaning so I wondered if girl moms use the bad smelling stuff.
The poll really sucks and I can't change it.

Well, I'm a type B in my house...but type A/perfectionist when it comes to my crafts etc. I clean every so often, but it's mainly tidying I do. I'm an all or nothing kinda person- I start doing a deep clean and feel the need to keep going, through the whole house until I collapse into a pile on my bed at 10 o'clock at night. Once the house has been cleaned like above, I tend to let it go again. Piles of laundry, unvaccumed, etc... And then the process starts again. I do not use chemicals AT ALL and haven't for over 5 years now. I get my hair done(colored)about 3x a year. My nails are TERRIBLE and I reallydont care;) I wear makeup about 5x a year. I really don't go overboard with my looks at all. I do like to get fancied up every once in awhile, but for the most part I'm comfy in my sweats at home:)

I don't fit into the categories you have but, I exercise for health and to stay thin, I don't do my nails or wear make up but stared dying my hair at home. Don't care about my house too much, would rather hang with my kids and friends. A lot would say I was a perfectionist but I think I have changed a lot over the last 10 years. I have 2 boys!

My house is messy even though i want it tidy but hello six boys and a husband lol At home i just wear pajamas and pull my hair back in a hair tie but when i go in public even just to walmart i HAVE to have my makeup done and perfume on or i feel naked.I love clothes but my kids come first so I usually just wear someothing casual and cute.I have above 5 boxes of hair color laying around but i never seem to get a chance to do it lol and i always paint my toenails but my fingernails i usually dont do since im usually up to my elbows in dishes, laundry and such and it would be pointless.

I´m a lot like Doulamama,in cleaning the house I do the minimum necessary daily and then when things are starting to pile up I start to clean like a freak untill everything is clean and/or I´m exhausted. About my sewing projects I´m a lot more determined. I don´t really care a lot about how I look on normal days, but when I go out I wear (some) makeup and dress up. I don´t do my nails or dye my hair.
I have been wondering about this too and all the high maintenance, really beautiful mommies I know, have only girls.

None of those things have ever been important to me.
I've never been to the hair dresser.
I do sometimes colour my hair myself, I've never had my nails done. I've done them a few times myself.
I used to exercise but then I fell pregnant with bub#3 and we had to move and moved away from my gym.
My home is neat but I'd much rather have fun with my kids then clean all day every day.

Well, I think I'm kind of high maintenance in some ways (exercise a lot, and try to dress semi-nice, wear makeup daily). But I'm definitely not a neat freak. Funny though that this poll made me realize I'm really type A except when it comes to my house :P

I picked option 3 but I'm not sure if thats totally correct.
I do my makeup daily (not heavy) I color my hair regularly (at home, sometimes salon) I always paint my toes, sometimes fingers. I dress real nice occasionally but usually just "cute" somewhat trendy and comfortable i guess. I love clothes and love to shop.
My house is usually neat and clean but thats because I make everyone pick up after themselves. I really clean just about 1x week sometimes 2. I do use chemicals.

I don't wear much make up, just mascara. I don't exercise much, walks to the park etc. I dress nicely each day but comfortably. I don't do my nails or colour my hair. I use smelly cleaning products. My house is always clean but I'm not a clean freak.

This is cool to see the diferences and the gender of children...
I mostly wondered because my SIL (my bros wife) colored and highlighted her hair every 1-2mths, had her nails done every month, and cleaned her house with so many chems that you would smell a mile away. When her 1st was born and nursing for 11mths she never did any of that and she got pregnant right away with her 2nd baby who was a boy. She didn't nurse her son for very long and started back to her hair, nails, and house cleaning and got pregnant with a girl.
Because of this I actually started coloring my hair of course it is the same color as my natural color ;) (only for the last 2mths and I will not do it with this next cycle, I have painted my nails daily (clear), but I just can't use chemical cleaners in my house because of my asthma.

It's funny b/c although I was never "high-maintenance”, before kids, I was kind of a perfectionist keeping things clean and organized. I was careful about my appearance b/c I worked at a large corporation and was in charge of Org Development so I had to look professional. Having said that, I’ve never worn eye shadow in my life and seldom wear mascara (I’ve always called it “mas-scary” b/c it makes me look scary…). I looked clean and put together. I think the organization sways blue in my case. After kids, I do the minimal amount of housework, wear yoga pants (as I have since resigned and am now a SAHM). I’m really a bad housewife! I still like to look put together when I leave the house but my house no longer looks the way it did and I’m not bothered enough to clean it all the time.

I'm not high-maintenance but I think most would agree that I fit the "boy-mom" persona pretty dang well! I have a long string of obsessions and life-passions...none of em happen to be toilet-scrubbing unfortunately.

I wasn't sure how to vote. I am lazy, and I hate cleaning. I do clean every day, but not much--basically just dishes and a load of laundry. I dread doing anything more than that, and my house is usually a disaster. And I don't wear make up or do nails, etc. I don't do much to get ready in the morning besides put on moisturizer and put some stuff in my hair.
I have GBG.

I am like DoulaMom, I will let the crap built up in my house until I have had enough and then I'll go on a maddenning clean spree, promise myself I won't let it get that bad again, and well, it gets that bad again ;P
I try to keep laundry going and dishes clean, but that's about it. All bets are off besides those, haha!
I used to dream of dressing really nice and wearing makeup every day for my job, but I rarely wear makeup these days and I do dress decently, but nothing uncomfortable or too showy. Just standard slacks and blouses that are nice but nothing crazy. I do not get my nails done much, I do dye my hair some.

I saw about hair dye and cancer too.... but I only did it 2x's and the last one was about 6wks ago. I cut my hair short and started wearing it down again and the side were light but the top was almost black so I evened it out. I don't dye my hair normally but maybe 3x's in my life. I may do it more in the future when the boys give me more gray hair.
