Hello ladies!
I am new to this site and swaying as well. I have 2 boys and love them very much, but I desperately want a baby girl this time around. Planning TTC in Feb or March. I think I'm ok as the diet is concerned, supps, and ions etc. I have been dieting for 2 weeks now and taking Calcium, Mag, cran, B-complex, vit C., Folate. I need MAJOR help in deciding to do cut-off. I am thinking about 0+12, but what if I miss my chance and can't conceive that way?. Cut-off seems easier, but I don't know how to determine cut-off!! I know this question sounds really dumb, but when do you start to DTD and when do you stop BDing (cut-off). can you tell with OPKs? (I have read all the FAQs about ovulation...still need explanation )how??
with both my DS's we DTD without OPKs..just when I felt most fertile...O pains, Sex drive, EWCM (I USED to have all those LOL) every other day, after a week of abstaining.
Please help! Thank you..and good luck to all of you!!

you could always stop BDing (or BD when) you see a pos OPK - that would give you a small cut off
here on GD we don't put much stock into timing because all of the studies conflict so much and if it genuinely swayed they would agree more. Some studies even found more girls conceived on OV day! diet is one of the things that has the most evidence behind it for swaying, so it's good that you've got that sorted :)
unless you have regular cycles or know your body intimately having monitored CM/Cervix/temped for a few cycles it is very hard to time the traditional cut off anyway, and your chances of conceiving a pregnancy even if you do are slim
it seems that frequency is more important than timing - either FR or abstaining

I got pregnant with my girl DTD once on O day :D
Anyhow, this is a great thread which you should find helpful:

As Rainbow says, the important thing to do with regards to timing is something which will lower sperm count - either abstain or frequent release.
You may want to re-think some of your supplements, particularly the B Vitamins and Vitamin C as evidence suggests that more nutrients are good for conceiving a boy.

If ou DTD every other can't it raise PH? I can usually feel OV pains, so I believe I have a general time frame of when I O. I would also like to try everyother day till I see the +OPK, but worry I could raise ph during this time, will it???

yes, it can and in fact it's good for keeping sperm count high too which doesn't sway pink... but if swaying you can also lower pH with douching and release on the days between to do FR and keep pH lower

Ok- thanks! I want to try this route, and am planning on buying rephresh, since a lot of women seem to have great results. How often before BD and after??

Zanacal, I'm taking Folate (800mcg), and it's recommended that I take a B12. Should I take it? what about a separate B6?...this makes me question my Calcium pills as well. They have Vit D3... what do you think of this?

you don't need the B12 as well.
do you have a short luteal phase? if not, I wouldn't take the B6

My cycles are between 27-29 days (depending on stress level that month). Most months, my LP is 14... So, I had some spotting on Dec. 13 and blood flow on Dec. 14. Expecting AF, Jan 12-14...
what do you think about Vitamin D3 with my calcium?

I was taking a calc supplement including vit D this cycle, so if you want to take the calc I think the vit D would be OK to help it be absorbed
however, I've decided to drop it next cycle because calcium raises pH

Well, we don't always do things the same way on this site as on the "other" site.
I am not convinced calcium sways pink and you can read why here: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-conceive-girl/610-calcium-conundrum-controversial.html (there are three parts, links to the other two are at the end of the first)
I personally believe lower nutrients sway pink and I feel that you're taking TOO MANY vitamins. I would have you drop the B-compex, Vit. C, and the D you mention in your calcium supplement IMMEDIATELY.
When you say you read the FAQs, do you mean on this site or on IG? How to do O+12 info is found here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-girl-best-practices/1292-o-12-part-2-how-do-o-12-a.html and Shettles/cutoff found here:http://genderdreaming.com/forum/showthread.php?1380-Shettles-method-of-timing I need to know specifically what you are wondering about. You may also find this essay helpful Tracking the three primary fertility signs (BBT, cervical position, and CM) (http://genderdreaming.com/forum/showthread.php?1642-Tracking-the-three-primary-fertility-signs-(BBT-cervical-position-and-CM)
Personally, I do not believe in timing and so I think it's easiest to simply BD at a pos OPK.

It can and it can also cause sperm count to go up. I don't think BD every other day is optimal for a girl (even tho it worked for Cinss!!)
Zana already posted this but I'll repost just to make sure you see it. frequency of BD for pink and blue (http://genderdreaming.com/forum/showthread.php?5636-frequency-of-BD-for-pink-and-blue)

We don't really even know that we WANT calcium to be absorbed. We may want it to be floating around unabsorbed and being excreted thru CM. I don't want anyone to take a Vit. D while swaying pink because it raises testosterone.

You should NOT take anything other than the folic acid. Your body stores YEARS of B12. I also do not think you should take the B6. I conceived a boy taking 100 mg B6 as have others and the A-Gender company even dropped it from their list of supps because they thought it was contributing to opposites.
