KD, sorry the nurse didn't call - how frustrating! I think you O CD14 or even CD15. My fingers are crossed for you. And I agree, not at all too old. Although some days we probably feel it!

Nurse just called and my progesterone is 26.5. I am disappointed because it is lower than the last two months which were 38 and 28. I am just discouraged. It's again not my month! My temps are in the high range though, so who knows. They do 21-day progesterone to be a week after O right? so maybe my O was off and my progesterone was actually higher 7 days after? I know 26.5 is good and shows I Oed, but I just wanted it to be so much higher. Anyways your thoughts on progesterone are much appreciated.

Oh and which temp would you use 98.63 at 3am or 98.33 at 6am? I had to get up to go to the potty, so I took two temps. Normally I always use the first temp, but normally it is lower than the 2nd one, but in this case the 2nd is lower? So not sure which one to use.

Kraisy- I think your progesterone is ok. You still can be preggo don't count yourself out yet. Nuthinbutpink told me that I wanted above 20 this past bfp. Either temp would work its not really much of a difference.

Lala- glad you added an attempt.

I think I'm skipping April and I have been tearing my hair out over the decision. My doctor wanted me to skip for my lining. He had prescription for clomid for me but it's meant for may. My thought is how do I attempt when I have a great tool to sway and not use it? I was afraid that I used it against his advice and get a bfn and need it for may. Then what.
I've literally made myself sick. I'm also worried about cheating in the two week wait. I hate skipping the prime month but there's no way to no which way is better. Now I am cd 6 and I guess it's too late anyway. I'm not attempting without the clomid that doesn't make sense. I just don't know. My attempt will be 5 weeks from now I should just focus on other stuff eat nothing and relax! Sorry for the rambling I'm soooooo upset

KraizyDaizy
April 13th, 2012, 09:25 AM
Hope,
Thanks for the encouragement. I can see how hard it is that you don't want to waste the Clomid on April, but remember it will stay in your system for 6 weeks, so I would also keep that in mind. I see the pros and cons to skipping or going for it in April and I so understand. praying for you...

Kraisy-I wouldn't count yourself out just yet..

Hope- I pray that a decision comes easily to you.

Lala- Good Luck!!

Amari- hope you are feeling well.

As for me...holding out to POAS...

April 13th, 2012, 02:03 PM
My dream-when will you do it? Tomorrow?

Kd- I don't know anything about progesterone. Fx crossed for you...

Hope- tough call. Would you o on your own? When I had to take a month of I was planning in attempting w/o Clomid I'd I o'd ont own. I tracked and never o'd, so I had no option. Could you take opks, have dh release then make a decision if you get a +opk?

God, I am so pacey today and ready to leave work.....I am going to leave early anyway because the library is so slow and we don't hardly have any students, then the idea of leaving even earlier yet crept in my head but I dont want to get in trouble...sigh....just wannt to start my weekend already!

this week has been nothing but trouble cuz father in law had a stroke on tues. he is doing much better now and got released today so I am hoping that things go back to normal now and i can have a decent weekend. (God I know that sounds so selifsh and terrible, but it's been just a crazy week....I will say sorry in advance!)

on the other hand, i really want to repaint our railing to our front door before DS2 's bday party (April 28th, his bady is the next day, the 29th) but DH is prob gonna not want to do any projects this weekend since he's been livin at the hopsital almost. Anyone else ever taken off a project like sanding then priming and repainting their railing while preggo? LOL

Peony, Yes same for me 6-8 weeks was just horrible i think it was actually worse then with ds tho i had it until 13 weeks with him.. If i was still as bad as i was i think i would need something for it

HopeandDreamG
April 15th, 2012, 09:20 AM
Auroara~ sounds stressful. My dh wouldn't want to do the railing either after spending all his time in a hopital. Just remember no one is going to even notice the railing like you will!

Amari~ Loving the ticker..jealous!

Mydream~ So did you test this am???

I have come to terms with my decision to wait until May. My attempt will be five weeks from yesterday. I just couldn't get over the idea that I had several cheats in the 2ww (i just knew I was preg) and to not use clomid when I have it in my arsenal just doesn't make sense to me. I did all this work, and to not wait 3 more weeks (from aprils attempt if I made one) just doesn't make sense. Also this way I will have the support of my doctor (ultrasound), an injection (so no doubt when O is, no stress), exactly when to start progesterone support etc. I figured all this 5 more weeks on diet, clomid, injection, ultrasound etc. outweighed the possible sway factor of a chemical. Maybe it even sways the next cycle too. Who knows!

Kraisy~ How are you?

Temp is down this am, so I am feeling like I am out again. AF is due in a couple of days, so I won't even think about testing until I am late. So depressing and heart broken, I just hate it!

did you use the same test? was your urine really concentrated? be optimistic, you at least got a positive yesterday and it could still be early. I am praying and thinking of you today.

April 16th, 2012, 12:32 PM
ok so I just retested with FRER (same test- new box though).held my pee till noon and didn't drink anything...its still a faint positive like I got yesterday..
I don't know what to think..I think I am going to call dr. and get blood done tomorrow.

Thanks so much mydream. It means so much to me.

Two years and no baby. Millions of HPTs, OPKs, jellies, CB monitor, cups, ferning scope, memberships, diets, you name it, it seems I have done it all and still I cannot get this right. Maybe it is my DH's counts, but even then I don't know what they will do about it. My mind has been afraid of the testing (I picked up the kit at my 21-day blood work), cause if it is low, then they will try to help him up it, and if it is upped then we have more chance of a boy right? I am just so confused and disappointed all at the same time.

I just wish everyones bodies would start co-operating and do exactly as you want! I am on the other side of the world and so frustrated for you KD and Hope. The way I see it KD is that even if DHs count was low and needed to be improved, at least you would know one way or the other. After all, you would have at least a 50% shot at a girl even if no swaying was involved. But we need you pg first! For me, not knowing things is like torture.

Hope, I was reading your posts a couple of pages back and thinking the best thing to do would be to wait til May. So good on you, it sounds perfect to me.

Mydream, that has to be a BFP. Hope you get a nice dark line soon to reassure you.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate room to vent and scream.

This evening I had a little brownish discharge, and a few lower abdominal pains after I got off work, so more than likely AF is on her way. Maybe even earlier.

April 17th, 2012, 10:20 AM
Ah KD :hug2: I feel so much for you!!!

mydream, did you test this am...is it darker or you gonna wait till tomororw? Prob best to wait 2-3 days to give time for hcg to go up so the test can get darker. Did you call your DR?

Hope, I agree with Peony, I think May does sound like a fab month to TTC.

Sorry if I forgot any one else's news or posts, I read yesterday but didn't post and now I've forgotten what I've read!

I have my ultrasound scheduled on Friday so fingers crossed they're going to say "it's a girl!"

Thank you peony! I'm glad I'm waiting. My belly has been hurting a bit and I am praying my crohns stays away. April 17th, 2012, 11:17 AM
Oh thanks KD!

Yeah I dont know why, but right now I am feeling certain that I will hear girl on Friday, and I have this little voice in my warning me to not be so sure of that outcome, but I can't help it. I do feel very strongly it's a girl. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but I can't fight this deep gut feeling, and I'm not even going to try anymore. These are my last few days of not knowing and I'm going to try to enjoy them with positive thoughts :)

KraizyDaizy
April 17th, 2012, 11:21 AM
I think it is great that you have feeling about your pink dream coming true Friday. I would suggest have a big Mountain Dew beforehand LOL!! Want to make sure she shows her three lines perfectly. I have had one of my friends who is just devastated that the baby would not cooperate and she still does not know if it is a girl or not which is what she is wanting.

auroara78
April 17th, 2012, 11:35 AM
I'm actually somewhat caffiene intolerant...it would give me the jitters and make me really sick! Anything else that could get the baby moving and excited? Chocolate, juice you think? Mtn dew or any coke products or coffee are too much for me.

Hi everyone...I would love to join you...We are ttc a girl after 4 boys...DH needed some convincing but we are a go. I am eating acidic foods, but not a specific diet as I love food..I am currently losing weight on Atkins and have added Organic milk and yogurt to the mix along with calcium and magnesium. Doing Zumba for cardio, no green tea (which I love), no potatos, tomatos or red meat..all of which I survive on, no wonder I have all boys. Doing a lime douche 30 minutes before with a pH of 3 and then finger tips of straight lime afterwards to keep pH down. Cut off of 3 days and O+ 12. This sure has taken some figuring.

auroara - I just made sure to eat a big breakfast with juice before my scan. I also drank copious amounts of water in the days leading up to the scan because I heard that helps you get a good one. I'm soooooo stalking you!

KraizyDaizy
April 18th, 2012, 06:53 AM
So my temp went up a little this morning, so it gave me hope and I tested BFN. AF is not here yet and with my temp going up, I am guessing that it the only reason I am keeping it together this morning, thinking maybe it's just too early, but in the back of my head FRER are so sensitive it really should be showing by now, so that is my start to the morning, how about yours?

Bless you all throughout your day, my the Lord watch over you and yours through all that you do, AMEN!

Kraisy~ did you test this am?

No out of tests. That was my last FRER yesterday. I am just waiting for AF to get here. I am sure I am just late or that taking the Clomid days 3-7 instead of 5-9 has changed my cycle a bit. I have spent so much on HPTs only to be disappointed, I am to the point of just finding out if I am ever really late. If my longest cycle on FF is 33, then I would have a ways to go, if it's average of 29, then I guess tomorrow I would be officially late?

KD- so praying for you hun

Just an update- I had a chemical. AF is here in fullllll force :(
I am doing ok..for the moment. Thanks for all you support. I am having immune testing done, in fact just had the bloods drawn. Although my HT and this chemical may be unrelated, I just need to know at this point. I spoke with my RE and he agrees. My bloodwork will come back in about 10 days.
I am totally going to try again this month. He said it was fine to. I just don't have time to waste..the clock is ticking. Good thing I didn't stop the diet...well, I cheated one day (the day I got a BFP I ate egg and cheese on a roll- yum!). I am going to up my protien, fruits and veggies this cycle, cut back on the carbs and continue to PRAY!

I replied on the other thread I am so sorry. I'll be interested to hear what your blood work says and what it all means. Glad you will try again this month. I was so twisted about deciding partly because I cheated in the 2 week wait. So glad you didn't that was a huge lesson for me. I thought I was safe! Anyway good for you another attempt is just two weeks away!

My dream-I posted in another thread but I am really sorry. Glad you can try again so soon! Maybe that blood work will be a moot point.

KD- I was/am taking progesterone cream that you insert once a day called Crinone. My OB doesn't really believe it does anything, but I have a short lutesl phase and asked for it anyway.

KraizyDaizy
April 19th, 2012, 01:46 PM
Amari,
I am glad you got the progesterone even if you doc does not believe in it. I believe in it 100% although I had to take the jelly like troches that you put under your tongue and they have to dissolve for the first 12 weeks of my first two pregnancies.

Still no AF and I keep wondering if I am willing it not to come or something. My kraizy brain is playing tricks on me LOL!

MyDream, I am so sorry. It's so hard when we get so close, but I have to believe there is a reason for everything. My doctor said it was a great sign that egg & sperm are meeting....and if we are patient it should happen with some time. Plus, conception after a chemical is suppose to sway pink :) I'm glad you are going to keep trying and hope it will work this next cycle for you!! Also, good that you are doing the bloodwork!! I'm thinking of you and hope you are ok...

Meanwhile...I have ZERO symptoms this month....so just waiting for AF to arrive next week. Another cycle bites the dust! ARGH!

ILindGurl
April 19th, 2012, 08:53 PM
thanks, kraizydaizy...I know because I didn't have any symptoms with DS1 (then again, I never thought I'd get pregnant so fast so I wasn't really paying attention), with #2 I didn't have any either except I vaguely remember maybe thinking my nipples looked darker (sorry for TMI, LOL). But with my chemicals, I knew I was pregnant...vivid dreams, nausea, metallic taste in my mouth, very tired and fell asleep watching tv a few nights early...I just felt it for some weird reason. This month, nothing. Not even a twinge, LOL. So, it's a bust. Same thing happened in Feb, the month following my chemical pregnancy in January. I guess you're right, and you never know...but my gut says nothing happened. I didn't do any testing this month bec I just wanted to relax and enjoy, so just based on CM I would predict I am 6dpo, maybe 7dpo. FF predicts April 26th and 27th for AF to arrive. I have stopped swaying, but I will say this if we did conceive (which I really really doubt based on no symptoms at all) then it's all boy...I had 9 days (NINE!) with EWCM...crazy! LOL.

Hi ladies ive been taking a break from the internet and temping just trying to relax and hope it helps i think im 6 or 7 dpo but could be wrong as i only used opk this time,i took a frer this morning and i could see as it was changing a white line where the positive would be,it sounds wierd maybe thats the first time i actually watched it changing? then now i cant really see anything ,it plays tricks on you though in the right light i can see sort of something then it goes away? Im reading into nothing probably..

And i see congratulations:celebrate::running::cheer: AMARI !!!sOOO HAPPY FOR YOU, did you use the preseed in the end and guaffenisen or just one?
I think if this month doesnt work for me im stopping the clomid it will be my third time and the last time i was way to hormonal and had a huge fight with dh:hair:,so i wont do it again

Hi ladies. It's been crazy the past week and a half at my job, so I haven't been able to come online much.

MyDream, I'm so sorry about the chemical. Boy, having pg tests that are so sensitive is a mixed blessing these days ... it's great to hear early good news, but it's discouraging to have a mc that you would never have known about otherwise. But, dang it, May will be your month!!

KD, having AF show up stinks. :p But for some reason, I feel less discouraged at the beginning of my period than I do mid-2ww. I guess because, once AF arrives, you know you're only about two weeks from your next attempt. FX for May, for you, too!!

I can't wait to hear from Auroara ... she should be updating any time now, right?

You ladies are in my prayers!!

As for me right now, I'm 4dpo. We did FR this time instead of abstaining, with DH releasing and discarding twice a day. We got four attempts in: O-3 (p.m.), O-2 (p.m.), O-1 (p.m.) and and O (a.m.). I had crazy O pains on the day of ovulation itself and on O-2 days ... some discomfort on the right side both days, but definitely the most intense pains on the left side both days.

I used Zyrtec for a few days but no Benadryl ... and actually, I didn't really spot any EWCM this month, which is unusual for me. I also used RepHresh once, the evening of our O-3 attempt (a few hours after, so those spermies were up and gone). I resisted the urge to use it earlier during the next 72 hours, as that may have been what made last month fail. So by our O day attempt, it had been 60-some hours since RepHresh. *shrug*

I'm still not food journaling. It feels kind of weird not knowing where my levels are (sodium, in particular, is the area where I might be going over some days), but it also helps keep away the desperation of "I can't do this diet anymore!" because all of the recording and math was driving me nuts. I'm sure I'm staying below 40 g on protein, hopefully below 60 g of fat on most, if not all, days. Don't know on calories, but my weight is staying consistent (today I was 96.4 lbs.), so I must not be doing too badly on that.

It would be so great if this month was the one. I'll be testing on April 30 ... I'd sure take any prayers for a big fat pink positive!!

Aurora congratulations!! How wonderful to hear those words! Enjoy all the pretty pink things!
Sorry about AF Kraizy...hate that witch! Time to think positive about May.
I haven't been on all week cos I've been sick as a dog. My parents took my ds1 n my nephew to Vietnam with them to visit the little boy they sponsor through World Vision. Amazing experience for them! They got back last Sat, they were away for 10 days (I missed him SO much!) My poor little man got travelers gastro though just before he came home n guess who he gave it to! Yep, me! I'm sure i got it because my immune n general condition is so poor at the moment. TMI: on Monday I vomited 18 times n had 21 bouts of diarrhoea in about 7 hours! Thought I was dying! I still feel nauseas n have diarrhoea, I've been housebound all week. The only good thing is I've been too sick to think about being in the 2ww. I think I'm 9dpo today. I don't have a good feeling about this cycle, but if I did get pg I'm worried being so sick n basically not eating for a week may have harmed baby, made it not implant, etc. I think I will test Monday at 11dpo n then Wed. My period will be due around Thu.
Hope everyone's traveling ok. Good luck to everyone else testing soon. FX for us all! Don't think I can do this for much longer!

Lala, that sounds dreadful. Because it is going on for so long as well. As disgusting as it is, I would get a specimen checked if you don't get better soon. Some of those horrible gastro bugs can be treated. Hope your DS1 is feeling better. Keep up the gastrolyte!

Thanks, sweetsister! I was pretty surprised. I did have cramping, and a pulling sensation on my bellybutton, but I thought it was due to the progesterone I was taking. I had a neg test 9dpo and a positive 10dpo. What dpo are you now?

Firstly, thanks for all your well wishes :awe: Well it's been a horrible week for me being so sick and in bed for the whole week. To make matters worse it was my ds1 first footy match for the year which means dragging my arse out of bed to be at his game for 8.30am on a Sunday - DP and I find it so hard getting up early on the w/e!Lol. But particularly hard for me this w/e. And then we had his birthday party in the afternoon which means 11 8yr old boys to deal with. Wasn't so bad as we had it at Strike bowling and had a host so we didn't have to do much. It was hard being on my feet all day and having to talk to people though! I've got zero energy. On top of having a very bad week I just haven't felt good about this cycle ~ no symptoms to speak of (though probably hard to pick up on cos all I could think about was my nausea), just had no vibe about being pg or girl thoughts like I did the previous cycle. I did have a pulling feeling yesterday which made me think perhaps that was something.

This morning I feel basically back to normal, don't think I will go near milk yet but feel pretty much fine. So today I am 11dpo I think, n time to test. Feeling crap about the whole thing n just thinking oh god, not another 4 whole weeks of this! So you can imagine my surprise when two little lines stare back at me after my morning poas!!! :holysheep: Think I still can't quite believe it! I didn't even tell my DP this morning, it's like I couldn't get the words out! I'm still half expecting AF to rear her ugly head in a couple of days. Its quite a determined little bean, im surprised it didnt come shooting out one of my orifices during my violent episodes!lol. So relieved this charade can come to an end n I can start to get back to normal living, n normal eating! Although now the charade becomes not drinking alcohol! Always the biggest giveaway that I'm pg! And we have all the family coming over on Wed, Anzac Day which is my ds1 actual bday, and is always a champagne/wine fest. I will have to be sneaky!
Sorry for long post but I find it cathartic to write on here n speak to you ladies - I've had a tough time of everything these last couple of weeks n I always look forward to seeing what you've written for the day, n you always make me feel better about the whole swaying thing. So thank you all! Feel the love...:bighug:

That is so friggin exciting Lala! What a rollercoaster month for you. As a fellow decent (didn't want to say 'big'!) drinker, I would either say you are still feeling a bit average and dehydrated from the gastro, or say the doc put you onto an antibiotic as a precaution and so you can't drink while you are taking it.
Had a laugh about it having managed to stay in there while you were so sick. My mum conceived me after a bout of gastro (her pill didn't work), so after 3 boys, I came along. Hope you have a wonderful and smooth sailing pregnancy.

A friend of mine is a fertility specialist in natural medicine, she does herbs, traditional Chinese medicine n acupuncture etc n her clients have huge success with that. I Say yes, there is hope, there can be miracles if you believe. Have you guys tried just having fun and not stressing about it? Saying a lot of prayer and just "playing"? :) I think RELAXATION is key over anything else. I've watch girl after girl on youtube either give up and not try or half try.. or just completely stop trying and it happens!

Have you tried Vitex yet? I was scared to try it because my period falls on the same day every month without fail so I was nervous it would screw my cycle up, but it worked. Just jump in with both feet with FAITH! :) Easier said than done after all this time but I believe you can do it!

Congrats Butterfly on you pink bean.

Lala I am looking into options. I checked to see if the RE my doc referred me to is in my insurance network and she is, but infertility treatments are excluded from my plan, so not sure what my insurance will pay if anything. We will see, but at this point, my OB thinks it is my DH that is the problem, so I am not sure what they can do for that. Maybe we can do something to help on our own? If low count sways girls, I am not sure I want to make it better and get a boy, you know. I am so confused and so emotional...

I am getting super nervous! Just got a high on my CBFM this morning, a whole 3 days early, yikes!! UGH, Vitex. Thankfully I had DH start FR early this month, just b/c I was worried about this very scenario.... and it looks like we'll just be able to squeeze in 7 FRs before 1st attempt on Sat (O-2).

Now I am second-guessing everything... and getting stressed out... tomorrow I am going to get a massage and try to relax! I've been on this diet so long that it's become almost second-nature, but the TRYING part is new... I hope I don't get myself too worked up!

ILindGurl - I did acupuncture for several months so it wasn't a specific time of cycle - more just balancing out everything so my cycles were regular, I was ovulating, the lp was a reasonable length etc. There are acupuncture techniques that focus on specific needs but my practitioner takes the holistic approach and it totally worked for me.

Well i suggest using preseed ,i mean i did preseed and guaffenisen as the clomid made me so hormonal and moody i wasnt going to do it again,it was my 3rd cycle so i was determined, and instead of doing every day leading up til ovulation for 7 days in a row!!!silly? we did about bding closer to pos opk i think 4 or 5 days in a row and on the pos opk dAY and one after,so your sure to hit it!I would strongly suggest preseed:) and ditch the temping and rely on the +opks.I peeked at your chart and did you miss the day of +opk for swaying or by accident?I would definately hit those days before during and after.I dont know much about helping mens count i actually was starting to think my dh had the problem because we didt for so long but turns out it was just too many swaying factors i guess?
For me this will be my last pregnancy...sniff im 38 ...so i really only have the diet going for me,after ditching everything and adding some, but i just wanted to get pregnant so took the chance:)

The only thing I hate about Preseed it that it is supposed to sway boy and my CM does not seem to be dried up due to the Clomid, but maybe it would help. We used it before, but did not fall pregnant, so maybe I might get some this month.

As far as missing O day, I am not even sure FF is right about the day. We DTD at 1am on cd 15, so we missed O day by an hour. That day was just so busy and we could not fit it in until way late that night. I plan to DTD each day as soon as O gets close till day after O. Unless I hear that we should not do it this way.

Its not because your cm is dried up also,it is because clomid makes your cm that you have hostile and sperm dont survive,so guaffennesin will help the spermies up up there survive and the preseed will help along the immediate ones.

And being on clomid they dont even reccomend you temp as it gives you false temps,Take me for example i o always using FF temping on cd16 like clockwork, and when i used only opk this time and ditched temps i oed on cd18 2 day later,if i would have done ff i would have for sure stopped dtd and missed it.
I would dtd few days before you think you will o just in case it is dh you want to not abstain or frequent release and get the best ones:),then oday and until opk gives you a negative even that day to be covered, like the 2 days after you get a +opk, and i didnt jump and dump to i lay 15mins hips propped too i just remembered.

Interesting info on OPKs and temping on Clomid. I did not know you were not supposed to temp. It drives me crazy anyways, but I like to have scientific data. I guess I am just a visual person and like to see the dips and rises. But my O has been pretty much cd14-15, so I don't know about just doing OPK's cause I do them as well. I don't have any so I will have to get some. Do you use the digital ones? I think they are so much better than the sticks. Do you use a combo of both?

If Clomid makes CM hostile and that is the reason it sways girl, why would I want to add Preseed to make it more hospitable to both girl and boy sperm? I am just so terrified of getting another boy, but would be so happy as well. I think for sure my DH would never let me try again. How much do you use of the Preseed?

KD-I agree with everything sweetsister said. I did preseed the cycle I got pregnant as well. I think it sways boy in terms that it gives the sperm better environment to get to the egg. But with our diet, and being on clomid, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Also, if you go to the preseed website, it has stats on boys and girls conceived using clomid, it does not show a sway towards boy. Also, I googled success stories from preseed and read a ton of them! There did not appear to be more boys born than girls. I would also make sure you are actually o'ing when you think you are and not later, because you can get a false positive on opk's if the clomid isn't out of your system. I did and starting dtd before I was actually o'ing. Luckily, I had dh keep fr'ing, and I kept doing the opk's and I didn't get a + again until cd19. Definitely dtd before during and after o day too! GL, fx for you!!

I used up til the 1 last cycle but didnt conceive so this time i used 2/12 almost up to the 3 line with the preseed every time we bd.
And i suggest ditching the temps more to relax because it really is stressfull and controlling doing that you have to let go of the control and let mother nature do her job it is out of our hands, and enjoy making woopeee:) probably the most important, when it is mechanical for dh too and stressful it probably is the worst situation to conceive ..

I was talking to DH this am about me not temping and he thinks it is a good idea. Of course he is already to try again even before O time. I don't want to stress him, so I am just going with it and will nudge him more when the time is just right. We are going to get the spermcheck home fertility test you can get at Walgreens and CVS pharmacies to see if further testing is even needed. Who knows he could be just fine LOL!!! Then the Preseed of course. Sage has also suggested it, as well as BD O-2 and O-1, so I guess I am all set. Just need OPKs as well since no temping this time. Which sticks the digital or both?

We did the spermcheck test and it worked for us - be sure to read all the directions! It has a crazy amount of steps! I felt like I was back in high school science lab, but then I am scientifically challenged - I don't know how ladies do the EGS stuff :)

Oops - don't know how that double-posted, sorry!

I looked at the instructions online and thought oh my! When it the best time to do this test? AM PM or abstaining? and what did your test results say if you don't mind me asking?

We wanted a natural "baseline" - did it in the AM after a 2-3 day abstain (boy timing) but he had been on LR for a week, so that might have skewed the results slightly. He had a pretty strong test - it wasn't a super-dark solid line (wasn't darker than the test line) but it was definitely positive! I thought about doing it again after he was on LR and doing FR for awhile but I don't want to spend the $$ again, those tests aren't cheap.

So you were trying to lower his count with LR? and I believe they are 39.99 where I live, so did not know if the box told you the best time to take the test.

What is a natural "baseline"?

April 26th, 2012, 10:41 AM
Yep - trying to reduce his count, he has a pretty high sex drive naturally (which I assume translates to high testosterone/sperm count) so I am doing what I can to get his count down for sure!

I can't remember what it said about timing, I do know it said to do it after a 2-3 day abstain but I don't think it specified time of day.

Okay, that is good to know, because of course as soon as we get it, I am going to want to test right then, but he needs to abstain, so I guess we will see how that goes.

Lol kraizy, you also have temped for so long and it hasnt been working,,right? Why dont you temp after you think you oed and got +opks, because you really need to relax and let go for your own good hun:)Just get a plan than stop thinking of ttc until after you o at least.
If you think you want to then do it, i just really think it is backfiring on you.

I agree with Sweet sister. You've done all this temping for 2 years I would drop it immediately. Not only is it less stressful but you've temped for all this time and got bfn, how helpful is it? I'm also a big believer of trying something different to get different results - I'm not saying you're going to get pg because you're not temping but it will only help relax you and alleviate that stress associated with constant temping. The opks I used were frer ones and also clear blue digital ones. I would use the frer early on and when I got a fade in or thought I was ovulating soon I would use a digital so I could be absolutely sure, it took the stress out of it for me to just see a smiley rather than trying to read how dark the lines were. I'm so happy that you're still on the ttc journey Kraizy!

As for me, I have these ongoing cramps like I'm getting my period, and am scared every time I go to the toilet that I'm going to see blood. Do you think it's normal to feel cramping in early pregnancy? It's got me worried!

Lala, heaps of ladies say that exact same thing...they think AF is coming and keep checking. Rest assured it is likely just your body starting to adjust to the idea of building a home for your baby.

I got a BAD cramp on Sat directly after I got my BFP it freaked the crap out of me, but I reminded myself that my uterus has to grow and stretch. And with both babies I did call the on call physician at night and told them it felt like I was being stabbed in the stomach and thought I was miscarrying.. so much stuff happens in there and has to happen before they are done cooking. However, we worry soo very much about every little thing!

I know with my ds2 I had a lot of cramping and pain that started around 20weeks and lasted throughout pg, and my dr said that was just stretching and that you often feel that with subsequent pregnancies because your body has done it before. I'm just a bit worried because I've never had cramping so early before. When I have a check up with my gp next week I will mention it to him, im sure he'll say its nothing, its just got me rattled. Okay, so it must be in the cards that I drop the temping because my thermometer flaked on me this am and did not work right. Would not give me a temp at all, so it's fate I think. I know you guys are right about me stressing myself way too much. I am not going to temp, but I will still use FF for recording other stuff I guess. The digital tests are so expensive. I did not even realize it. My DH bought the last ones and did not tell me he spent like 45 bucks on them! I am not sure I can afford them this month, but will see about the sticks for sure. Maybe I can get a generic digital OPK's?

About two thirds of all twins are fraternal.

So, you have a 75% chance of at least one girl, Amari!

OMG amari twins!!!! So excited for you:). Congratulations.

Just got to read your siggy and I was about to move on as well with my 4 boys...BUT I realized that everything else at in life that I pursued aside from my degree and my family has failed so I must be doing what God intended me to do...bring life. If He will give it to me then I will use the ability. God Bless!

I had an early u/s because according to my lmp I am a little over 7 wks and I am going out of town. I have a history of extreme morning sickness, so needed to have my first apt before going out of town so they could prescribe the anti-nausea meds in case it gets bad while I'm away. It was just my routine lst apt and they do an u/s for that.

Totally in shock, didn't sleep at all last night.

KD-I did preseed for maybe 3 times we bd'd. I filled the app to the 2ml line, maybe a touch more. You can look at my sway, but we dtd all days leading up to +opk except missed one b/c dh just couldn't, he did fr that day though. Some days he fr and we dtd. I got +opk around 6pm one night, we dtd around 11pm, then I still had +opk the next morning and we dtd again. CAn't remember off the top of my head if we dtd again that night, but I'm pretty sure we did. Let me know if that answers your questions!

Hey Amari what kind of meds do they give you for anti nausea? And do they work?
I had one pregnancy where i was extremely ill and the meds did a little bit,and another and the meds did nothing for me,so i was thinking it might have been different but cant remember the name?

I take Zofran. It doesn't completely take it away but it makes it so I am just nauseas and not vomiting most of the time. I haven't started it yet this pregnancy, holding out! What did you take?

Try the seabandz wrist pulse points for seasickness,i get them here at the pharmacy or travel store ,i found they helped me more than the meds,i cant remember what my doc gave me i will have to ask her when i see her soon, but with my first pregnancy i got meds from a specialist in barcelona where i was travelling at the time, and they worked quite well i just dont remember the name!!!So i guess ill never find out:(
I get so sick i cant stand im only ok when i lie down, which is impossible with 2 kids..

Sweetsister-I did try those seabands, will have to try again. I had my first bout of actually getting sick this morning. Once I started eating for the day it felt a lot better. This was not the case with my last two pregnancies. Hopefully it stays this way the whole time!

Too bad you don't remember the name, that stinks.
