Success with DOR and GS
Dear Dr Potter
I have recently been diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve at age 35. Do you have much success with women who have this condition and wish to undergo gender selection? Are their success rates significantly lower or do they require additional egg retrievals in general in order to have sufficient embryos for testing

Hello,
I have many cases in which my patients have diminished ovarian reserve, and we can still have success. I would need to review your particular testing to give you an accurate plan and success rates. Since you are wanting a particular gender as well, we would need to try and get as many embryos as possible, so sometimes in these cases I do recommend 2 cycles where we bank the embryos and then test them all at once, so you only need to pay for testing one time. I’d be happy to have a free consult with you to give you my advice based on your results. But yes, in many cases it is still possible to do gender selection.
Best,
Dr. P
