WooHoo, congratulations! It's totally normal to feel scared and anxious in your situation. I would too. Sending you lots of sticky vibes and I hope you can start to get excited in a few weeks time!
Me: 35 years old. Was an infant nanny and birth and postpartum doula. Now a full time SAHM.
DS1: Aug 2003 (my first home birthed water baby!)
DS2: May 2009 (my second home birthed water baby!)

July 2016: Laproscopic surgery to remove a ping pong ball sized endometrioma on left ovary and 3 pea size fibroids on outside of uterus. Hysteroscopy to remove one larger "penetrating fibroid" inside uterus.
Oct 2016: Heartbroken after DH's vasectomy. Looks like my dreams of a daughter are gone.

I know how you feel!! I have to email the midwife tomorrow as they have pretty limited availability, but I feel like I'm 'jinxing' myself doing it.
I'm simultaneously looking forward to and terrified of that scan. I've just been hearing waaaaaaaay too many sad ending stories in the past year, it's kind of destroyed my 'innocence' when it comes to pregnancy!Me (38) and DH (38)
SAHM military momma to DS1 (2004), DS2 (who's all boy but loves to dance, though not in a tutu!) (2006), DS3 (2009), and our rainbow baby girl DD1 (2017)

OMG Lace! Congratulations! I am so happy for you . And we are pretty much due at the same time. . I really hope you have a sticky (preferably pink) bean in there. I'm alternating between being very excited, to terrified, to chilled lol.
Every little human you have ever met started out just the same. Yes things go wrong sometimes but a lot of the time they go perfectly and a little miracle occurs. I will keep my fingers tightly crossed that this will be one of those xxVery blessed with

Congrats, Lace!! What a great surprise!
I know what you mean about not having "innocence" when TTC. I feel the same now and have to talk myself out of worrying about infertility.
I'm hoping and praying you have a sticky, healthy pink bean in there!DS1 5/2016
