Baby Reveal Gone wrong
I can so relate to this little boy but at the same time, this makes me feel very poorly about myself and my feelings because it shows you just how sad it looks to see it play out. But I can so relate to this little boy, sadly.

oh wow that made me cry. I feel the same way only with boys. It's always boys, another boy. boy boy boy. Poor little guy. I really feel for him. I am surprised he didn't smash or throw the cake...I was kind of waiting for it.

Um, why does no one pick him up and comfort him? Could that reaction not have been anticipated and delivered gently, alone, off camera? Maybe highlight his role as little man of the house and the privileges that come with it? We are adults with some control over our life's and learned coping skills. Poor kid doesn't get a hug but is posted on you tube.
NBP, did you go on a reveal cake rant? Why does it make you feel bad? I think it shows how much these things matter to many people.DS1 2008

Poor little guy! Why on earth did the Dad think it was okay to record his son's reaction without comforting him? How exactly was the little boy supposed to 'prepare' himself too for another girl?! It's not all about YouTube views, this poor little boy will probably remember this moment forever & the fact that no-one was there for him! I want to give him a hug! To those who are having a second or third boy despite swaying it might offer some comfort as boys really do benefit from having a brother, likewise with two or three girls I guess - wish I'm lucky enough to find out!

Yeah I too thought it was ridiculous they just kept filming. Sad what parents are willing to do to get some youtube hits. ugh.

That was sad. I couldn't even watch the whole thing!
It was hard to see the girls see him react that way too because they were probably wondering why he disliked girls so much, not knowing where he was coming from
I feel like my eldest might be upset (not quite like this) if our last is another boy he'd really like a sister this time... Although he isn't even aware I'm pregnant yet! But hopefully because we will wait til birth to find out it won't matter when he sees him7

coocoo my boys want a sister very badly. They ask me about it frequently. DS2 asked why he can't have one when everyone else does. I had to excuse myself from the room and have a good cry. Not even 30 minutes ago they brought it up again. They see people on tv and their playmates are all pigeon pairs. It's depressing.

Oh my, I'm in tears! That father just kills me, posting this on YouTube and even voicing his disappointment in the video. I also couldn't finish it, and I just want to give that poor boy a hug.

That poor little boy. I think I did the same exact thing when I found out DD2 was a girl. We didn't have a reveal party or anything, but I threw pretty much that same fit on the way home from my u/s.

I do feel bad for that little boy. You know kids are hurting when they won't even eat the cake!! But I also feel a little bad for the girls too. They seem very bewildered by their brothers response. They are so young hopefully it is because they don't really understand why he is so upset. I will try to be more sensitive than that when announcing to my kids.
