Bella - born en cal really?! I was hoping for that this last time since it took so long for my water to break- hope you got some good pictures! She's precious- what's her name? And your labor sounds like mine- very odd and all over the place.

Funny, this labor was super different from all of my other ones for me too--and not just because I was in a hospital vs homebirth.

Must be a common thread between us all. My delivery was very different as well. In a good way thankfully. No panic attack, no dry heaving or passing out, etc. I bursted into tears when I heard her cry. I felt so much relief that she was finally here. Then after I was closed and put in recovery I got to have her in recovery with me (last time I had to wait until after I got back to my reg room) and DH and I got to do skin-to-skin with her. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better memory for our last time. Really the ONLY bad memories I have is a nurse I called the poop & shower police. She got the poop police part when I went to L&D one time in some pretty serious pain and she just kept saying I needed to poo, even making me take meds to help me go. That wasn't the issue but she would not listen. The shower police part she got because she came and told me she'd change my sheets when I took a shower. I had visitors so I didn't rush in there and she kept coming in bugging me about getting a shower. She also pushed pain pills too. I had two options. I tried to stick with the milder one and she kept pushing the stronger one. She was really annoying. Then there was the issue with Jules' tongue tie. Ot killed me having to hurt her like that. But overall is was still a great memory <3

It's been a stressful past few weeks around here. Both twins ended up in the hospital, Dalton for three days and Ophelia for 13, 4 of which were ICU. They both caught colds, but then hers turned into right middle lobe pneumonia and severe bronchiolitis. She ended up needing to be on BiPAP and oxygen with breathing treatments and suctioning. Dalton ended up with bronchiolitis as well, but not as severe. He needed breathing treatments, but no oxygen or other breathing support. They are both home now. Since Dalton has minimal appetite and hardly ever wants to eat and eats much less volume than he should be, he had to be worked up for pyloric stenosis, which he does not have (I never though he did). He just has slow gastric emptying associated with his reflux so he'll likely end up on continuous erythromycin treatment to increase appetite and speed up emptying. Always something, I swear!

Oh BG, that must have been so hard on you! I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. Poor you. How are they doing now that they are home?
