Actually Bunnygirl, can I ask you - did you find your girl pregnancies all similar and the boy pregnancies all similar or was it a complete mixed bag for you? I’m definitely craving sweets (as I did with my DD) but I’m sure I was more nauseous then this time around. Mind you I had two very active boys to look after when I was pregnant with my girl which I think exasperated the symptoms whereas my kiddies have all grown a bit more independent now so I’m possibly not as physically pushed. Just really curious!

They were all different for me in terms of symptoms. I’ve ranged from no symptoms at all to full HG. No relation to gender.

After talking with my doctor again this morning and him reviewing the ultrasound, he said the gestational sac and yolk sac were the correct size for my dates (measuring 7w1d), so he assumes the crown-rump measurement was just off due to poor visibility and that measurements can be off +/- 7 days normally. That makes me feel a little better, but I’m still stressing about how measurements could be that far off.

Sorry your scan wasn't more reassuring, glad you've managed to speak to the doctor though. I think at 7 weeks its hard to measure as even 0.5mm makes a huge difference!
I had a 7 week scan with my eldest as we were using fertility drugs to conceive and they wanted to check for multiples, and I should have been 7 weeks but they measured him as 6+1. When I went for my 12 week scan, I was put forward 10 days, so the original 5 plus another 5 based on those measurements. Thing is, with the fertility treatment, my dates can only have been off by a day, if at all! Not sure if that helps at all. I think 7 weeks is still quite a difficult stage to measure, I know that my hospital wouldn't scan me until after 8 weeks last time when I needed an early scan as they said before that it's hard to date a pregnancy.

I had a monitored cycle with CD3 labs, CD10 ultrasound to check uterine lining, and then 7DPO ultrasound and labs to confirm ovulation. On the afternoon of 7DPO my HCG was 2. I got a faint BFP on a HPT the next afternoon. Considering all that, it’s impossible for baby to measure what the tech says. I’d have been pregnant before I ovulated by their dates. LOL!

I remember saying exactly the same with F, if I used their dates it was nearly a week before I ovulated, absolutely impossible! Hope your next appointment shows more along the lines of what you're expecting.

Sneak peek clinical came back. It's a boy. I'm so numb. I don't know what to feel. Husband is mad at me because he thinks I'm refusing to let him be happy. He wants to celebrate. I want to die. I don't even know anymore.
Anyone know anything about sperm spinning? My husband refuses to do IVF for moral issues but is open to sperm spinning. I know it can't be done in the US. I'm just done leaving this up to chance. Even with swaying. I CANNOT have another boy, but I also WILLNOT give up my dream of a daughter.

Disneylover I wish I knew what to say to help you to feel better. I know you were so sure this was your girl so you’re probably in shock and disbelief. Give yourself some time to absorb the news and hopefully the strong emotions will become easier to handle and you’ll feel better. I’m so sorry, my heart breaks for everyone who didn’t get their DG. I felt it with my 2nd son and although I wouldn’t trade him for the world and we had the most beautiful bond when he was a baby, I couldn’t hold and love on him enough, I remember crying and crying when I was pregnant and first found out he was a boy. It does pass and you will feel better I promise. Hugs x

PS is there a chance it could be inaccurate Disneylover? I wouldn’t feel 100% confident until you get the NIPT?

I’m sorry you didn’t get the results you were hoping for. It’s also possible the test was wrong. I’ve seen that a lot recently.
