Onthepond - sorry to hear that your placenta didn't move and things are even more serious. I don't know much about what you have at all, however I do remember being very worried about the prospect of C-Section as I had a very low lying placenta and it was also anterior.. which I read can be a complicated situation. My fortunately moved enough for natural delivery.. but I really do understand the fear you are feeling. I'm so sorry to hear this but as long as your baby gets here safe and sound that's the most important - as hard as it is to not think of everything else! xo
AFM - 9 days from due date and no sign of baby. I had DS2 at 39 weeks exactly so I'm hoping I don't have to wait much longer! DS1 has his 4th birthday this week so I'm really hoping baby doesn't decide to steal his big day... but murphy's law that'll totally happen! I hope everyone else is doing well! So curious to find out who this baby finally is - I don't know how people do team green for all their pregnancies!

Onthepond - I am so sorry that you have been diagnosed with something more serious. I don't know anything about vasa previa...but I am sure your doctors know what is best for you and baby. Will pray for your situation!
Black&gold - I didn't realize you were so close! So exciting! Prayers for a safe labor and delivery...can't wait to see pics!
Waiting4Daisy - I still admire you for staying team green. Can't wait to hear your news (in a while, of course), too!
Everyone else - hi!
AFM - Doing fine...back pain starting to gear up. Common for me at this stage of pregnancy. Pregnancy yoga has helped in the past. Need to break out that DVD!

Onthepond I'm sorry to hear you were diagnosed with something more serious, how did the appointment go with the doctor?
Honestly Caesarian isn't ideal sure but it's not the end of the world, and in cases of emergency is safer with more controlled and predictable risks. So I wouldn't worry about that part.
Bed rest from 32 weeks will no doubt be very difficult to organise around other children, have you tackled how this may work yet? I feel for you, I can't imagine how I would manage that, with no family to help me, I hope you have a support network able to step in.
If Delivery at 35 weeks is what needs to happen to keep baby safe then that's the best option, I know many prem babies far earlier that were totally fine after a longer stay in hospital than term babies, 35 weeks is a pretty good age as pre term babies go, with most of the development done by then they just need to grow a bit more. That's not at all to take away from how sorry I am this is happening to you, just wanted to reassure you and hope you have some more answers from the doc now. XxxDS1 2009, DS2 2011.

Ps I was born at 35.5 weeks and spent only 1 day in a humidity crib and went home a day after that. I was 4 pound 6 and had to be induced due to inadequate growth rate.

Black and gold-only 9 days away!!!!! That is sooooo exciting! And then you can finally tell us who's been in there this whole time! Eck I'm really excited for you!!!!
Onthepond-c section really isn't terrible I promise. I have had 2 and will have another with this baby as well. The healing time is a little longer but the silver lining is the birth of your baby is super controlled and there will be a ton of ready handed nurses and doctors ready to assist you and baby at a seconds notice. Also I have had a difficult pregnancy this time as well and my dr has really been good about reminding me that after 34 weeks its a totally different ball game for a baby. They might be in the NICU for a little while but they do excellent and always come out of the NICU super strong! And he also reminds me that when they are 5 years old you can't tell the difference between a preterm baby and a full term baby at all! So there won't be lasting effects! I know you must be so worried but your doctors are going to make sure you and baby are 100% safe! Hang in there! Will keep you and baby in my prayers! You and your body can totally do this!
AFM-finally 34 weeks! It feels so good to be in this week! Blood pressure isn't rising but holding steady with modified bed rest. So blessed for that! Looks like we are shooting for January 3rd for a c section. That's exactly a month from today! Woohoo! Just so thankful she has stayed put! Still going to the dr twice a week and it has almost become a normal routine for us now. Even the boys have gotten use to the new schedule of crazy dr appts for mom. Modern medicine really is a blessing, particularly in my case with high blood pressure, gestational diabetes and dialating early!
Hope everyone is feeling great! We are all getting so close!
Anyone heard from ladybug in a while? Just wondering how she's been doing as well!(2009)

Soar...I have posted some over in the TTC pink and beyond thread....I have had a "fun" couple of weeks! I returned from the specialists in Vancouver with good news about a fully sanctioned VBAC and that things are stable enough with my little girl to just wait until she is out.
However, I took a fall on the ice on Friday...and have spent a few days just healing up from that. The problem is that on the right upmost part of my rib, right under the right breast, I am in extreme pain...to the point it hurts to move, lay down, cough...and I have to put pressure there just to not scream in pain. It will take my mind off labour for sure I am 39 weeks today and with DS1, I made it to 39w1d, with DS2 I was 38w2d....so I actually might be going closer to edd with her. Thanks for checking in on me <3
Sounds like you have a great plan underway......and only one more month until you meet your baby!!! That is exciting!!!!!!!!!
Black and gold....so near the end....it is going to be fun to stalk you to the wonderful arrival of your new bundle!!!'06 '06 '07

Onthepond what soar said is exactly what I was trying to say with a 2 and 4 year old tugging at my legs. Agree! I have had two c-sections despite a long labour with my first and am about to have another one, despite wishing I could do it naturally for better recovery time, sometimes (often) we don't get to choose. It's very safe, controlled and will be fine!

I like your sentiment I read about using up all my bad luck!! Lol, it has been a rough road this time around and I suspect labour is going to be a challenge with this last rib issue! I can't wait to tell you all of her arrival....just to be patient in these last few days
