So nervous, anyone with cervical cerclage experience?
I had a consultation with a perinatologist yesterday and due to 2 premature babies they have decided to do a preventative cervical cerclage on Monday. I'm very nervous. My epidural with ds3 was terrible, I'm dreading a spinal block but I know it's safer for baby than general anesthesia. Anyone been through this? What was the procedure and recovery like?

I used to work with someone who lost a baby due to premature birth and they gave her a cervical cerclage with her second pregnancy. I don't know all the details other than it did the job and she had a happy healthy baby.
When would they look to do it? I think she was about 20 weeks when she had hers but I might be wrong. xxDS1 - 4.5yrs DS2 - 3yrs
