I left a comment on your other thread however, your doctor is an idiot and the best thing you can do for yourself is to listen to your gut about what is going on and to not to anything drastic until everything can be explained. What was the fluid around your ovary and why wasn't your Dr. more concerned about that? That to me sounds like the answer to your pain and bleeding.
Did you see a specialist, an OB, or was this just an emergency room Dr??

With DS2 I had a scan at 5 weeks - my levels were quite high too but all they saw was a gestational sac - I thought I maybe saw a yolk sac but they obviously didnt as they were all doom and gloom. Fast forward a week and a half and there was a yolk sac and a fetal pole with heartbeat and 9 months later a beautiful healthy baby! I hope that is what happens with you hun. To me it sounds like your pain is stemming from the fluid on your ovary and not ectopic.. I hope all turns out the best

He's just the hospital one. We only have general doctors here, so if you need a specialist you need to be referred. We've got private medical insurance but they don't do anything if its pregnancy related so that means going through the hospital
Anyway, you can see that I've survived the night! I've had a raging fever but that's down to a nasty virus that's had the whole family.
Back to the hospital in 3 hours where I will stomp and kick until I've either got a scan with an answer or an appointment for tomorrow with the consultant.since 2005 2008 2010.

Went to hospital and junior dr who saw me originally took the blood and said that until they had the results later (2+ hours) then the senior would refuse to talk to him or me about it because they didn't have the full picture. He said that we could wait but last time it took over 3 hours to get the results. So, he asked what I wanted, and I've said that the hcg will give us an idea if its a miscarriage, but at 48hrs at this level of hcg, it will not double, it'll take 4+ days to do that.
If its gone up I want a scan to see if the sac in the uterus is growing. If its gone down, then obviously things are going wrong, so we can discuss the options.
I've said I want a scan, preferably tomorrow because I'm getting really stressed, which isn't good for me or the baby if there's one there.
He's said he'll call when he's got the results and told the senior what I want.
I'm chasing them in half an hour and every 45 minutes after that!since 2005 2008 2010.

Ok, have chased them and the results are in at least!
Friday 1pm - 7000miu/ml
Sunday 1pm - 12,300miu/ml
The nurse originally said "the hormone has increased significantly but it hasn't doubled." She said it like it was bad news, so I asked her if she actually had the numbers, which she seemed surprised that I'd actually know anything about them.
I told her that it was a good rise and it would take over 4 days to double. But she didn't seem convinced, so that's made me worried now.
The dr was coming back in a bit from another patient and they're going to phone to discuss it.
Happy but still worried.since 2005 2008 2010.

Good for you for calling her out on her ignorance!! 12300 is a great rise which suggests there is a baby thriving somewhere. Hopefully you can get a scan with a specialist who can actually see what is going on in your uterus. The thing I would worry about is an ectopic in the upper part of your tube where the fluid was seen (that is very unlikely).
Knowledge is key!! Let them know you aren't an idiot and they won't push you around. Being your own patient advocate will get you the answers you want. It is sad but true. Right now you don't fit into any one box so no one knows what to do with your results. Be persistent and keep demanding to see the specialist. Get to the bottom of the fluid around your ovary. Get another scan to see if the fluid is increasing, decreasing, or staying the same.
Just FYI, most Drs and nurses give you the "dooms day" approach so when everything turns out to be okay then they are the hero and you are happy with what they did. If they act like everything is okay and then you end up with a miscarriage you are going to be unhappy with them and think they did something wrong. Patient satisfaction scores go down and patients are more likely to sue.
Good luck and hang in there!!
