My GD kitten
Ok, so I got this cute little half wild rescue kitten thinking it would help with the GD. It was meant to be a girl. It's a boy! But what can I do? We've had it for a week already and the boys have fallen in love with it. I can't take it back now. And on top of that SIL popped out that much awaited surprise baby girl today. I was waiting for it. I though I was ready to hear "girl". But those are not the words MIL used. She said "daughter". Cue knife through the heart! I hate that I am so jealous. I hate that I can't just be happy for them. Dam GD!

Arhh bless you!
I did something similar last April. I got the boys and well me a little rabbit, girl of course and thought it would ease some pain. But no.
I'm sorry about your SIL. I can understand your feelings it seems like some days everyone seems to be getting their dreams and some of us keep getting missed out.
Are you swaying for your girl or ht?

I hope the boys enjoy the kitten and it keeps them busy. Sorry to hear about your SIL. Was it her first? It must be hard seeing family members baby girls

Feeling a lot better this evening. I bought my sway plan last night Helps to have a plan.
It was SIL's second. They have a PP now. I think it just stung because of the way MIL said it. She was just thrilled as you can imagine (1st granddaughter and 6 grandsons.) And BIL and SIL can do nothing wrong. They are always the favorites it seems.
The kids are loving him. He's especially good for DS2. He relates very well to animals

That must make it even more hard. I think my Brother is the fav child. DP calls him the golden boy lol.
How nice that DS2 is relating to the kitten. I wish we could have kept one of the kittens we saw not so long ago. The boys loved her and were so good with her and I think they would be more busy trying to play with her than destroy things so make my life easier. She would have entertained them too! Such a nice placid kitty. Oh well. One day

Such a cute cat! I have a GD cat too, a timid rescue cat called Tilly. I got her 4 years ago when ds2 was still a toddler & my GD was really acute. I can't say she's alleviated it but we're still the only females in the house :-)
