interesting article for those with GD for boys
What If I Have a Girl? | Raising Kvell
Just to clarify, I was not posting to make anyone feel bad or anything like that - the article does have the same old stereotypes re girls, and so on but I found it refreshing to see someone, anyone out there in cyberspace who seemed to want and like boys!Last edited by atomic sagebrush; December 19th, 2013 at 11:03 AM.

Raising a child isn't easy period. I don't care what gender they are.

^^Totally agree.
There are some aspects of raising a girl that do scare me a little. Body image being the worst. But, frankly, nowadays that is becoming an issue for boys too, with this whole push for muscles on top of muscles.
I can understand why she is "wary," I see it more of the unknown in her case. But I do believe that the child gives you tools you need to raise that particular child. Each one is different. And you get lots of practice before they turn into teenagers. To learn their personality and strengths. It's what I kept telling myself, that I will be okay when my kids are older because I am connecting now and trying to learn what might help them. It's a coping mechanism...teenage years scare the piss out of me...girl or boy!!!A: "Owner" of the following brood:
-Our biggest surprise dude (L: 2009)
-Our rainbow little man (K: 2011)
-Our sway and pray little diva (J: 2013)
-Our lucky charm guy (S: 2015)
We may be done, we may come back for one more sway. Time will tell. At the moment, we are very content with our family!

I am pregnant with my third girl and I get this article. I think my biggest fear is that I myself was an AWFUL teenager - I hope to god that I don't get blessed with three daughters EXACTLY like me :/
I am still dreaming of a son but if I am realistic, it won't happen. The jump to four will be too much for us unfortunately.
I just wish I could be happy about having another daughter. It depends on the day though. Today I feel down because my sister in law (who already has 2 girls) was talking about trying for a third. I am not entirely sure how I will cope if she gets a boy when I didn'tBlessed with and a surprise on the way!

When I found out we were having our 3rd daughter I was devastated. I was angry. I was so depressed. I seriously thought I would never love her like the other two or that I'd always look at her differently....NOT TRUE! Im so deeply in love its amazing!! Everyone that told me that I would be in love I either hated or didn't believe. God gives us what He thinks I mean knows is best. Maybe your awful rebellious teenage experiences will make you a great mom to girls because you've been there done that. Trust in God. I am sure you'll do great. Just wait until you see her. My SIL has 3 girls. My DD3 who is 9 weeks now is girl #6 for my husbands family and girl #3 for my parents. No boys at all! But I believe and am hanging on to faith that our next will be thedl first boy.

Hi everyone, I gave birth to my first lovely daughter in September. I was wondering what would be the best timing to start trying for another girl? Would that be a year after giving birth, 18 months...
Best timing for ttc girl after...
