Really feeling it atm
As i write this my niece (who i am extremely close to) is going to hospital because she is in labour with her 2nd child- a girl. Her first child is a boy. I love my boys to the moon an back but i really want to experience having a daughter, and all these ppl around me are having their pigeon pairs, and i want to slap them.

All I can say is that I know exactly how you feel, and it really sucks
Everyone around me pregnant with their second is getting their baby girl and I seem to be the only one pregnant with a boy!
I am sorry I can't help but, so you know, I know exactly how you feel. Hugs x2013

I'm actually kinda dreading seeing her tomorrow at the hossie. Everyone in the family is soo excited because its a girl. They seem to get so much more excited when girls are born. Makes me and my babies feel like an unimportant piece of crap when i give birth because they are boys

Ha, I know that feeling too I have been announcing the gender the last few days and all I got were "awwww sorry about that" and so on. My mum even said "oh no how horrible".
I actually feel sorry for my poor unborn DS!
(Sorry I am not helping much, I am having a self pity party myself here).2013

I think it's so horrible that people are so insensitive that they actually say that to your face. I too have 2 boys. I always imagined that I would have a girl but I still wouldn't change my boys for anything. Don't people realize that? That the child we are carrying is an important human being no matter what their gender. When people ask me if we'll try for a 3rd I do say yes. And alot of the time I do get asked or told " hopefully this one will be a girl". I can never admit how much I do want a girl. I just say whatever will be will be etc I don't want their pity if it is another boy. Trust me.. I know if I find out that I'm having another boy that I'll be upset but I'll definitely try to keep it to myself, this forum and one trusted friend who has also been through gender disappointment. I don't see how people feeling sorry for us or telling us sorry helps the situation at all. It's natural to feel the way you do Mum4life but I'm sure once you get to know your nieces daughter you'll see it differently. You'll be the cool great aunt who gets to dote on her and buy frilly dresses for. That's how I feel about my nieces and friends daughters. Hope you're feeling better soon xx

I have started the diet and will be planning on a girl sway in a few months. Oh i have no doubt i will love her but its the first few visits that get me. I have told everyone we aren't having anymore because they will all make stupid comments about it needing to be a girl. Well turns out her labour stopped in the middle of the night even though her contractions were strong and regular, so now its still a waiting game. Its kinda deja vu because last time she had a baby, which was her first we had been ttc for nearly 2 yrs by that stage and her pregnancy was an oops, and it was hard seeing her and bub then too.

When one of my Sils heard I might try for a third the first thing she said was " I think you'll have another boy ". It really annoyed and it upset me. I played it cool but I was really boiling. I can't understand why somebody would look at me and think " she'll only have boys". Out of the family I'm the most girly... I'm slim, I love dressing up etc that's why I found it so odd that she said that. Why not just say nothing?
