Women usually have a tendency as to where their placentas are, this is nothing to do with the gender of babies but possibly with their individual anatomy or living habits (sleeping position etc)!
I have had 3 anterior and 1 posterior. The posterior placenta is with this baby, a boy. My neighbour has been pregnant 6 times and only 1 was anterior (a boy), all the others were posterior (a boy, lots of girls, 1 unknown miscarriage...).
