TTC Blue-What food(s) made you gain the most????

    Okay,
I am wondering what foods on the HE/blue diet made everyone gain the most????

I am trying to eat healthy foods, but really haven't gained weight yet. I have definitely been eating more and more frequently and way more protein than I used to, but am now about 5 weeks from my attempt and I haven't gained any weight yet.

Should I start adding some unhealthy fattening food to speed things up??? Not like Twinkies, but like ice cream and MnM's, buttered popcorn, etc.

I know it's really important to eat less processed, less sugar, and in general healthy foods. But it also seems impt. to gain a bit of weight so your body thinks "times are good"

    I have been eating:
    Breakfast:
    2 hard boiled eggs w/salt
    homemade granola with PB

    Snacks:
Fruit shake with Greek yogurt, banana, berries
    raisins and nuts
    fruit w/PB
    hummus w/veggies or crackers

    Lunch:
eggs with potatoes, cheese, veggies, NYF
    OR
bean dip with NYF, avocado, rice, cheese, veggies, tortilla chips
    OR
veggie burger sandwich (at most 2 times week) with avocado, cheese, NYF, crackers

    Dinner:
cereal with banana and coconut or almond milk (I just can't drink cow's milk-never liked it)
    OR
Greek yogurt with banana and PB

I know I need to also eat more too, I am just full with the added protein and it's still warm here so I think it makes it harder to feel full all the time. I am also still nursing so that may also be making it a bit harder to gain weight

I only gained about 3 lbs, but it seems if you are looking to gain a little extra you should eat more for dinner and use the cereal with banana or the greek yogurt as a late night snack

I definitely had a lot more dairy - full fat. And coconut oil is a great healthy fat that you can incorporate into your meals.

Well, don't necessarily feel that you have to gain a ton of weight, 3-5 lbs is probably plenty.

I would add in a bedtime snack and if ice cream sounds good to you, I'd do ice cream!!!

    Thanks all,
Yeah I was 120lbs. when I got pregnant with my son,
then 115lbs getting pregnant with DD1
    118 with DD2
    112 with DD3

So I currently weigh 112. I know it probably doesn't mean much and isn't a magic number, but I'd like to get back closer to the 120lbs

Thanks for the tips, yeah I should try to eat a bit more at night. It's hard though, the extra protein just makes you feel so full

I don't think it was any foods in particular, Just the quantity. I gained 2lb over 3 weeks when I added the 4th snack which I was really forcing myself to eat as I really wasn't hungry. I have held steady on the 3 meals and mid morning, mid afternoon and bedtime snack

Yes, in that case you're right, prob. best to gain some weight.

I completely understand about the fullness, just do what you can do and if you think some extra sweets will help, by all means! Just try to eat them with some protein if you can.

What about ice cream in lemonade to drink so a cream soda - nice refreshing drink with few extra calories ?

Thanks you guys! I think I will try to add some more carbs, like whole grain pasta and ice cream a few times a week, I don't want to start having it every night again.

I am up to 114 though this am, yeah! We went to a pancake breakfast yesterday. I think I need to make up some French toast and have it in the fridge to grab. It is really hard for me to make food in the am with the kids
