Newbie here Just curious if anyone here fell pregnant from sex 6 days before ovulation? We were aiming for a 4 day cut off with one attempt after a week of hubby abstaining, but my ov date ended up coming later than I'd hoped...

It's scientifically possible (I think 7 or 9 days is the longest ever observed), but very rare.

Take heart that sometimes ovulation tracking be it temp or OPK can also be prone to error! You might have still ovulated sooner than you thought, and we just had someone on here experience this and find out they were more pregnant than they thought!

Yes, it's possible. If you don't chart temps then O certainly could have been earlier than you thought. The cycle I got pregnant with this baby, my chart said I didn't O until cd27 and our last BD attempt was cd21. I figured we had no chance but turns out I had already O'ed earlier in my cycle and three days later got a BFP. If you want the best chance at conceiving while swaying pink, do one attempt at positive OPK especially if you're unsure of when O might be.

Very, very, very, very very low chances. Less than 1/10th of one percent and there is some debate since BD days are all self-reported, as to if these reports are even accurate (like maybe people sneaked in another round and forgot to mention it).

Studies have found sperm that may have survived 7-10 days but there is no evidence that that sperm could make a pregancy. Just because it hadn't died, does not mean it can make a pregnancy.

I urge you to give up the 4 day cutoff idea and go to 2-3 days max. Timing does not work, and if you must use it (your discretion, of course) please try to do it so you at least have a decent chance of conception.

I got pregnant with what felt like a very long cutoff with my oldest son but I almost certainly ovulated early.

We ended up dtd again the evening of my temp spike after ovulation too...probably too late as well? I was reluctant to go too close to ovulation as all 4 of my boys were either ov day, 1 day, 2 days and 3 days before lol. So I thought further away from ov would be more favourable for a girl..?.a couple of my friends had had success with that. Maybe I'm just destined for all all boys :/ I can't do the girl diet at all! Didn't last for more than a few days before I felt like I was going insane lol

I did but ended up with a shettles opposite with DS2. BD on the monday using sylk, positive OPK on the friday. But my lifestyle was very very blue at the time so Im not suprised I had another boy.

a big meat eater! snacks all the time, ate cereal several times a day. Put on weight before DS1 & gained muscle before DS2. prenatal vitamins for 9 months before DS1, vitamins for 1 month before DS2. Frequent attempts both times (but with cutoff with DS2) A very very boy sway both times without even trying. A very short summary but I hope that helps
