Yes I know 31 is still "normal" but mine are usually anovulatory I can tell from this cycle that I have tried to ovulate twice and my temps keep dropping indicating no true ovulation has occurred... Well see what dr says on the 9th... Oh and I'm cd23 now...

How do you know they are anovulatory?? Are you getting AF??

edited - just remembered you have PCOS and you probably know exactly what's going on! Sorry sometimes people assume things about their cycles and then on closer inspection I find out that they just have some misunderstanding about their cycle.

To clarify - most people with regular 31 day cycles who are getting AF, will be ovulating. Some peopel with PCOS may be getting cysts instead of ovulation but this is not true for most people.

Oh yes I totally agree that some people do not understand..I didn't at first but eventually learned. But I wanted to answer your question.., I had an ultrasound done on cd9 (now cd23) which showed no signs of ovulation and about 10+ cysts between both ovaries... And a uterine fibroid.. As well as my right ovary being fixed ( from endometriosis) to the side of my uterus! Yea painful! So on the 13th I'm having a d&c as well as a reversal if my dr can do it... Oh for those who may be curious this is what an anovulatory cycle looks like when temping...

Oh and yes I still get AF which surprisingly is pretty regular but it is actually breakthrough bleeding or that's what my dr tells me anyway...

    thank u bayou!!

So everyone, we can see that in some cases this can happen but 99% of the time if a person is having reg. cycles and gets AF, they have ovulated.

75% of women?! what exactly is the diet and lifestyle that supports it?

Obesity for one. Obesity creates insulin resistance which can cause PCOS.

Coming from HT where we have mostly fertile women having infertility pretesting done, many women have PC ovaries and some have insulin resistance if checked. They are prescribed metformin for the insulin issue. Not all are obese either and most have no symptoms of PCOS.

True PCOS means you will likely have real infertility issues like the poster above is dealing with. Most times in HT, it is the boy moms that have more PC ovaries. Purely anecdotal data but that's what I've seen.
