Hi ladies! Could one of you OPK experts help me?yesterday morning I started testing.OPK was neg yesterday with FMU.had EWCM all day.held it for a few hours tested @ 5pm & got a smiley.I looked at the strip & the result line wasn't as dark as the control line.showed dh & he agreed.So that confuses me!Then tested this morning with FMU & test was negative.WTH? PLEASE PLEASE HELP! We were going to attempt tonight & now I don't know what to do!

So are you doing digis AND strips?

If you're just doing digis, go off what the digi says. they work differently than the strips do and a smiley is positive for them.

Most people have the highest amount of LH in the afternoon so it is totally normal to get negatives with FMU and pos with afternoon urine.

When you are swaying blue, I do want to reassure you that it is ok to just have an attempt whether or not the OPK is positive or not. It honestly doesn't matter if you have an attempt or 3 and the OPK isn't positive. All you want to avoid is long periods of abstain and tons of attempts in a row when you AREN'T in your fertile window. If you ARE in your fertile window, it is fine to have attempt even if OPK is not positive. Even if you aren't in fertile window, it's still ok to have unprotected sex (and the hormones in the semen may make you more boy friendly), we just don't want you to have an attempt for 7-10 days before the fertile window opens becasue it will lower sperm count.

Thank u so much AS! I'm just using clearblue digit ovulation tests.I just thought it was weird
that it was negative with FMU -positive @ 5pm & negative this am with FMU.usually when I get a positive @ night its still positive in the morning with FMU.Now today I'm still crampy like I'm going to ovulate but no EWCM.its still super wet inside & we did have an amazing fingering session last night with several orgasms for me(sorry if TMI).Just hope I didn't wait too long.I'm thinking since I just got a positive last night I'm still ok.Thank u Thank u!!!
