Cycle problem - spotting a week after ovulation

    Hello ladies,

I haven't been on here for about a year. I fell pregnant last summer but had a miscarriage in October that was very traumatic as I haemorrhaged and was very ill in hospital.

We are planning on TTC in July so I am back on the LE diet and watching my cycle. Last month I spotted for 3 days before my period started. I often spot the day before but not three days. This month, I started brown spotting a week after I ovulated and have been spotting for 5 days now. I am due on on Wednesday, 3 days time. The spotting is a bit heavier today so I think my period is coming. I have also had mild cramping these 5 days.

We have been using condoms but sometimes don't start with them, but stop and put one on. So I suppose it could be implantation bleeding but it really seems that my period is now coming.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? Could it be hormonal and how can I fix it? Or something more sinister that needs to be checked out?

Please help, I want my cycle sorted for when I TTC in July!

My first thought was implantation bleeding. But if you ruled that out, I might check out hormone imbalances. I think progesterone deficiency can make you spot. I'm sure other hormonal issues could make you spot as well. I'd call your OB or doc and ask if they could check it out. It's not uncommon for your body to change after a pregnancy (or loss). I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage.

sorry only just now saw this.

I think you need to see a doctor to rule out a few things and get your hormones checked. This is obviously not a normal situation and while sometimes it could work itself out, it is going to be best to get some insider info that only a doc can provide.
