Mixed feelings/ should I be swaying

So I'm not even pregnant but I keep imagining how I would feel when I find out the gender and this how I think I will feel.
I have one DS ( who is the love of my life) and thought it would be nice to have a girl since my bf and sister all have girls and it would be cool to have a girl.
We will be only having 2 so one of each would be nice.

But when I think to when I do found out what the gender is and it's a girl I feel like I would feel very guilty for not wanting to have another son ( since the first one is so amazing).
And probably if I do get a boy I will probably have a bit of GD.

    So what's wrong with me?
Does it mean I shouldn't be swaying?

So confused with all my emotions right now.

I think your feelings are perfectly normal. I had a bit of guilt after swaying for DD1. It is not that you don't want to have another son, it is that you want to experience having a daughter. It says nothing about the love you have for your son. Don't worry.

Saying that though, I think it is very important that you follow your heart.

I feel the same way. As much as I want a girl, I feel like I will miss the son that I didn't have..I think that's why swaying is good. We are swaying the odds for our favor but will be ok with a boy..if it's meant to be

I suffered terrible GD with DS 2 so knew I needed to sway for number three to at least feel like I tried to up the odds a wee bit. I think its totally normal to be feeling the way you are, its confusing and I'm not going to lie to you, swaying can be an emotional rollercoaster! But its been a fantastic journey for me I have met some amazing people on this site and my dream has come true with my first DD! Good luck only you know what is the right decision for yourself X

I think a lot of people feel this way!!

I think you're actually in the best position (provided you can keep it in perspective and not let the GD get rolling). Yes, it's cool to have a girl but 2 boys is also really awesome. I personally think boys should come in pairs like shoes because 2 boys go together so good.

We sometimes lose sight of it around here but there are a good number of people who have 2 boys or 2 girls and are done and are cool with that. I had these friends who had a boy and then they said, "we're having one more, and we're naming it Jordan whether it's a boy or a girl, and then we're done and that's that." The name Jordan was more important to them than having a boy and a girl was. They really just didn't care at all!!

I think that form of swaying is the best! If you want to add a few things here and there to push the odds on one direction or another, you can. But if you don't like swaying or don't feel like really doing anything, you are still very comfortable with the outcome. We swayed that way this time and are truly thrilled about adding either sex to our family. It alleviated any stress during the sway and it has allowed me to imagine and get excited about either child joining our little gang. In reality, MOST people are "swaying" when they concieve a child. Most folks have no idea they are employing swaying techniques and therefore see the outcome as a "50-50 thing." But many women will try to lose weight before getting pregnant (swaying girl) or will use special lubes to try and make conception happen quicker (preseed is popular and sways boy). They might be trying and testing with OPKs and getting busy for three days when the stick turns positive (frequency leads to boy conceptions) or they might be busy and sick and only have sex once in that entire month (both "one hit in the fertile window" and being sick sways pink). It's just that you are aware of how you can employ these techniques. So, use what you want to use, don't use what you don't want. And feel confident that whoever you get out of the attempt WILL be who you are supposed to get. Plenty of women do very strong sways and still get opposites, little darlings who are meant to be part of their family despite everything they did to try and have the opposite sex child.

-Our sway and pray little diva (J: 2013)
-Our lucky charm guy (S: 2015)
We may be done, we may come back for one more sway. Time will tell. At the moment, we are very content with our family!
