Just wanted to add an anecdotal example to this. I grew up the the only girl - three brothers. I also had an older brother who died shortly after birth (he was premature). Then my oldest brother gets married and his wife proceeds to give birth to three boys. My youngest brother marries and he and his wife have a son. So of course at this point, my Mom and Dad, with having had four sons, and now four grandsons, are saying and believing that the men of my family are just "destined to make boys". Well both of those sisters-in-law are pregnant right now and both have had genetic testing, and they both are having GIRLS!!! Of course we're all excited, but many in the family are really shocked. A girl hadn't been born in our line of the family in over forty years, and now two are going to be born within less than two months of each other.

Thanks for sharing!! Yes exactly that's what we've seen in several families!

Same goes for me. Every aunt and uncle from my hubbie side says that I wont have a boy as all my hubbie's cousins are boys and there is only one girl and hence this generation, it will be opposite all will be girls and only one boy (who is already born for my hubbie's cousin). My hubbie's brother and his other cousin have girls too. They sounded more like the quota is over...
I want to prove them wrong but I ended up having 2 girls and at that time made me wonder if they may be right although deep down I know its not true. Well hope my boy sway helps and shut all their mouth.

Nope! No one is keeping score of any of this, it's just sheer dumb luck! Good luck and blue dust.
