How does vitex sway?
I'm new and I'm sure this is a dumb question but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. How does vitex sway pink?

We don't know how anything does anything, LOL. All this is, is guesswork.
The "old school" sway people said it lowered estrogen and raised progesterone and swayed that way. But we've collected a lot of newer data that casts serious doubt as to whehter these hormones are even swaying, and the old claims that "high prog sways pink" is almost certianly incorrect.
So, unfortunate truth - we don't have a clue. I do believe it sways pink SOMEHOW because it seems to interfere with overall fertility as a whole (hence its one-time name "chasteberry") but we really do not know the mechanism of action.

Vitex, in our results, has not been among our stronger sway tactics. It's gotten consistently better than 50-50 and I do think it helps or I wouldn't recommend it but it isn't the be-all, end all and may not even be worth the trouble it causes.

Thanks atomic, I think I'll just skip the vitex since I'm doing a fast sway.

So I dropped Vitex just two days ago. I'm on cd 39 and I am now getting ewcm AND a lh surge. Fancy that. I haven't got a pos opk yet but I think it's coming. I also started temping mid cycle so I'll see if I get s shift in the next few days. I strongly feel that vitex was not a good thing for me, or anyone who feels they have no time to lose....

^^^^ yes, but just to clarify, you were taking it nonstop and not in the 2w on, rest of cycle off pattern that I recommend.

Yep! Atomic is right, and that's what I did! That's why I tell everyone that wants to take it make SURE you track your ovulation by getting a cheap ovulation kit off ebay because you do not want to take it while pregnant. You want to know when you are about to ovulate and then stop taking it and don't start up until cycle day 1 again. It's even a good idea to take a pregnancy test before starting Vitex to make sure!
Something very important to note also.. Vitex changed my cycle around. In Dec I had my period on the 24th of the month and I took it a few months and then a break, but it did change my period to like the 13th of the month! So you really need those ovulation tests.
