Does anyone have experience with this brand ICs?
Attachment 26489
I bought got these AFTER I O'd last cycle and tested with them (both LH and HPT) the rest of the cycle to see how well they worked. I had a probable chem preg and got faint BFPs on FRERs on 10 & 11 DPO. It doesn't concern me that the HPTs stayed BFN because I know FRER is probably just more sensitive than the ICs... what does make me question whether they they work or not is that given HCG and LG are so similar there should have been SOME kind of line, however light or dark, on the OPKs when I was getting BFPs on the FRER but the test couldn't have been any whiter if I had tested my tap water (not that I would.. just making a point). In fact, there was essentially no flux at all. So, I am worried I got a dud brand and I am trying to decide whether to shell out more $$ to buy more tests or ride it out and hope they do work. I hate to throw away $$ but I would also hate to waste my time testing with duds. So, I am hoping someone here might have used these before and might be able to share their experience. Any input is greatly appreciated! TIA!
ETA: I know clomid can cause false + on OPKs so I'll likely test with them after I start the clomid this cycle and if no line I will KNOW they are duds, but still curious if anyone has any experience with these.

It takes a few days after getting BFP for a pregnancy to start registering on OPK. That is totally normal and you shouldn't toss out perfectly good OPK strips on that basis.

I am testing with them since starting clomid(which is known to cause false +)... so far they are still white as snow. Still testing them out but so far they haven't done anything that makes me think they work. I bought more for backup in case these don't start working.

Usually when the tests aren't good, you'd get a line but it just wouldn't ever go positive. A stark white line makes me think that you're just not peeing out any LH right now.

What I'll probably end up doing, if I don't get some kind of sign these are working, is test with both these and the new ones everyday. That way they are getting used instead of trashed but I'm not relying on them alone to pinpoint my LH surge. Plus that way I'll find out if they ever do get a second line @ O or if they really are duds.

The verdict is in... They did finally give me a line but I tested with both this brand and a brand I trust. The brand I trust was an obvious +, the above pictured brand was an obvious -. So, I tested again using the brand I trust and again it was +. I plan to test again later today... maybe the above brand will be + by then, but right now I am glad I didn't rely on this brand alone.

Both negative this morning. CG brand is just barely negative, above pictured brand it VERY negative. Above pictured brand did end up giving me a + but it was very short lived... wouldn't have had much warning if not using the CG brand. I guess it works in a pinch though.
(just adding all the info in case someone comes across this thread later)
