    Help. Clomid, Mucinex, and cm

I'm taking clomid days 3-7 so I also decided to take Mucinex because of what I heard it does to cervical mucus. I just noticed today a couple hours after taking the Mucinex that I have egg white CM. I am only cd10 and usually O on cd 14. Can Mucinex make cm prematurely egg white before you're ovulating or does it just usually make it more runny or increase it?

When I started taking it I noticed I was getting ewcm early too. But I kept temping and taking opks and O stayed the same day as always! So just make sure you're charting ovulation still so you don't miss it!

Totally! Yeah I have heard clomid can make your ovulation cycle funky though so I suppose that's a good reason to keep charting religiously too in case the clomid moves your O day around!

There is no such thing as "prematurely egg white". It's fine and dandy to have EWCM for many days before ovulation. Nothing wrong with that at all. I have gotten EWCM as early as CD 3 some months for CD 14 O.

Okay thanks. I just always heard you should dtd when there's egg white but I also didn't want to do it too early.

Gotcha. I would have you DTD every 2 days OR if he's "a machine" LOL and can keep up, every other day with EWCM. If he's a guy who "runs out of steam" then stick to every 2 days. The important thing as I know you know already, is that he can still hit it with at least 2 attempts at or around pos OPK, so if he loses his mojo if you DTD every other day and may not be able to do that, then every 2 days plus 2-3 attempts at or around pos OPK.

This is really hard to explain please let me know if it's not clear

No that's good! One more question. The opk was almost positive this morning so we dtd. Should we have waited? I'm sure it will be positive at some point today and we probably could've waited until this evening but I get nervous about missing it. Plus I have O'd the same day as a positive opk and two days after so I never really know.

Should we dtd tonight and tomorrow morning or wait until tomorrow morning? I'm really trying to hopefully maximize anything extra clomid is doing for me. It didn't work last time so I'm doing everything I can to be optimistic.

No. It's 3-5 attempts in fertile window and just before OPK goes pos is deffo fertile window, having eWCM means that those swimmers have a good shot of surviving till the egg shows uup.

If you get a pos today I'd go again tonight and the next night. No need for morning attempt since you've already had one unless the stars are perfectly alighned.
