Should I insist on medication?
I am planning to do an IUI in January, but the doctor wants to do it without medication, she is going to do monitoring and a trigger shot.
But do you think I should insist on medication? I didn't want to argue with her because I am a new patient. She seemed smart, and nice. I just didn't want to seem like I was trying to play doctor.
I turned 40 on September 28. I had one failed natural cycle IUI in July, which she is aware of. They didn't monitor me that time, it was a different clinic.
I have 9 follicles and my bloodwork came out good, except I have a bit of elevated estrogen.

If you like the doctor I would probably give it a try and see how it goes. I know they aren't cheap but then again, good relationship with your doctor is priceless!

I'd try, if you're swaying pink!
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Do you have to insist? Can you simply suggest?

Is DE in my future?

I did suggest it, but she seemed to want to do it this way first.
If it doesn't work this time, I will definitely push for medication next time.
I'm not trying to sway pink anymore, I just want a baby, as long as it's healthy I'll be happy.

Hi everyone, I gave birth to my first lovely daughter in September. I was wondering what would be the best timing to start trying for another girl? Would that be a year after giving birth, 18 months...
Best timing for ttc girl after...
