important warning about ibuprofen and fertility
Study out today indicates ibuprofen even at a fairly low regular use may harm male fertillity. Six ibuprofen tablets can affect men's fertility libido | Daily Mail Online
I would have hubby drop ibuprofen immediately for blue if he takes it regularly (if he can get by without it, that is.)
For pink, I do NOT NOT NOT want you guys to have your hubbies start taking this "in case it may sway". We have no idea how hormones really work for altering the gender ratio and for all we know it may even sway blue (I doubt it, but it may)
Also, ladies, use ibuprofen sparingly if you can. We don't know what the effects of it are.
And please check out the little box at the end of the article - taking paracetemol/acetomenophen, aka Tylenol, during pregnancy may harm your baby's ovaries and testicles (this is less cut and dry than the ibuprofen but since paracetemol/acetomenophen are oft-touted as totally safe during pregnancy you may want to cut back on it if possible.)

Atomic on my pack of ibroprofen it says it can effect/delay ovulation (never noticed it before until I read it randomly for my period pain) is this a known fact that I’ve been oblivious to?!

That is something different, it is referring to LUFS. Your body needs to be a little bit inflamed for ovulation to occur and for some people who take ibuprofen around ovulation, it can prevent the egg from being released (or possibly that it could be damaged during release, no one is too sure) since it is an anti-inflammatory. It's fine to take it during your period, and most people can get away with it even just prior to ovulation - I take it for my back and I"ve never had my ovulation delayed even when I was taking kind of a lot of it.
But if a person has gone on a long time not getting pregnant and there doesn't seem to be any good reason then yeah you may want to give the ibuprofen a pass around O.

Atomic, my DH is currently taking ibuprofen daily on doctors recommendation for some swelling post surgery. I'm not 100% sure but think he is taking 1-2 a day and has been for a few weeks. I'm trying not to spook him about ttc and haven't even mentioned swaying to him yet so don't want to ask him too many questions about it but suspect he'll likely need to continue for at least another week or so. We wont likely ttc until April. Do you think this will harm our blue sway?

Oh heck no you guys are plenty far out from TTC! No worries, the study even found things went back to normal again after they dropped it.
