Does 4 day abstain work swaying pink?
My husband is 35, turning 36 this year and i have read abstaining 7-10 days is a no-no so my questions is, can we bed randomly but then when near to postive opk abstain for 4 days and then bed on day of positive opk?
Husband works few nights and then few nights off but what with the boys we cannot commit to a routine like every 2 days or even FR as some days im working during the day and hes working the night. ive started to diet with no snacking involved. I dont drink tea anymore and cut back on fizzy drinks to about 1 a week. Ive never drunk coffee and not keen on it either - is it a major sway option?

Please don't bump your posts till I have had a reasonable amount of time to answer (5 days or so). I answer posts from oldest to newest and so when you bump a post, it goes to my "new" rotation and makes it take even longer for me to get back to you.
Abstains of 4 days is fine for 35+. It is fine to BD at random (we call this "let him do what he does" LOL)
FR AND abstain have not worked well anyway. The one attempt is what worked. So don't worry about FR vs. abstain, just do what will work for you guys as a couple and keep that one attempt.
I do think coffee is a strong pink swayer but of course lots of people have gotten girls without ever drinking it.

Got ya ! 😁
So just to make sure I am on the same page when we do what suits us can we have unprotected sex before our fertile days, then when fertile days come have protected sex, followed by one unprotected sex on positive day?

This goes with my other post ‘could you advise me’ and from your reply im thinking my previous reply on this thread is wrong And if im getting it into my head, its protected sex at whatever suits us until the positive opk where we have one time unprotected sex right?

I prefer you guys have protected sex if you can (or pull out). Unprotected sex out of the fertile window ~probably~ won't hurt but it may boost fertility a little bit. More importantly, if your ovulation day moves and comes sooner (or later!) than you think, by having protected sex out of the fertile window you can protect against having more attempts than you intended to.

That's my preference, but if for whatever reason you can't do that, I do not think unprotected sex is a total dealbreaker. I mention this because many people's hubbies won't have protected sex when TTC. So protected is best, but if you end up having unprotected sex out of desire or necessity, it is not the end of the world.

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
